I’m really sad to be leaving this review because I had had positive experiences seeing this eye doctor in previous years, however when I came in this time with sensitive red eyes that burned when exposed to light I had a completely different experience. I arrived early to fill out paperwork as they had just undergone a new merger and had established a new data system since the last time I had been in, then I waited in the lobby past my appointment time waiting to be seen. The assistant who took me to the back and did all my preliminary imaging and filled out the “new patient” questionnaire for the data base was fantastic and made the long process easy. The eye appointment was standard, the doctor identified that my eyes were irritated and inflamed and decided to prescribe me a type of eye drop and advised to see me for a follow up 10 days later which I agreed to. By the end of my appointment I waited at the front desk to schedule the follow up and the doctor told me he wouldn’t be calling in my prescription until the next morning despite it only being 5:30pm which I thought was weird as my eyes were painful but trusted his decision. (I’m aware most pharmacies close at 5pm but prescribing doctors can leave voice mails so that the prescription gets filled right away in the morning). The next day I called the office at about 1:40pm to check if he had called in the script (again, my eyes were still very sensitive and had the same burning sensation) the woman who answered the phone told me she didn’t know and that the doctor would be on lunch until 2pm and she would call me back then. I was already near my preferred pharmacy so I decided to call them to see if they had gotten the prescription to save me extra time and driving and the pharmacy tech I talked to told me it had not been called in yet, a full 22 hours past the time my appointment ended. This was frustrating to me as a patient because it made me feel like getting my eyes back to healthy and making them not painful was not a priority to my doctor who I was trusting with the health of such an essential part of my body. By this point it was 2:50 pm (almost an hour after i was supposed to get a call back from the doctors office) and I still hadn’t received a call back from them and my eyes still didn’t feel great so I called again to ask that the prescription actually get called in at some point that day and they finally did it, but if I had never called (the first or second time) I would have never gotten my prescription. So I drove all the way to the pharmacy and I get there at 3:25pm and the pharmacist informs me that they had called but they didn’t give her the instructions for the medication so she can’t give it to me and tells me that she called them 30 minutes previously and was told she would be called back (sound familiar??) and hadn’t heard from them yet, so I did some shopping and come back at 3:40pm to see if it’s ready yet and the pharmacist STILL hadn’t heard back, so I call them AGAIN and ask if I should just go home at this point and I am actually in tears at Safeway and I get assured that they will call the pharmacy right away and tell me once they have. I waited for some more time but never heard back from them so I just go to the pharmacy and at 4:30pm (right before they close) I finally get my eye drops and NEVER get a call back. After all of this I am going to be looking for a new eye doctor in the Palouse, which makes me sad because the doctor I had seen yearly for three years was very personable and seemed really nice every time we met and has been working in the community for a really long time which is why I chose to go to him, and like I said before the woman who took me into the room and ran through the preliminary eye tests with me was fantastic but I just can’t justify going back to a hospital that left me so frustrated I was openly sobbing in Safeway.

All of the folks at Family Eye Clinic are great! My wife and I have trusted them with our vision care for many years now. The exams are very thorough and Dr. David, Pam and their staff treat all their patients to the highest standards. In addition, they are all treated as personal friends. If additional care is needed - such as Lasik or cataract lens replacement - Dr. David can refer patients to the best available. I highly recommend Family Eye Clinic!

This place is hands down the best eye clinic I have ever been to! The staff were professional and very friendly. If you haven’t seen/met Dr. Reid you are missing out. I had such a thorough eye exam and she really took the time to answer all of my questions. Not once did I feel rushed, everyone was very accommodating. This will now and for ever be the clinic I use!

Great experience at the Clinic (first time). Dr and staff were all very helpful and very friendly. And at the end I got the reading glasses that I needed. I now can read (an avid reader I am) comfortably. My next check up will be at the same Clinic. I can promise that.

My daughter (8) and I had a wonderful experience at Family Eye Clinic. Dr. David and his staff were so kind and made the process totally painless. Her first pair of glasses was not traumatic at all, and a month later she is still wearing them constantly (she LOVES that she can see!) and reciting the poem that the assistant taught her (if theyre not on your face, they go in your case). Thank you Dr. David and staff, we will be back for all of our eye care needs!

Everything about my appointment went very smooth & efficient. Everybody I interacted with was very professional & not too rushed. I received my new glasses very much faster than expected. Im new to bifocals and they really helped with the transition to them. I have no reservations about going back to Dr. David for further care.

Every person I interacted with, from the receptionist to the assistant and the doctor, all took their time with me and showed me a huge amount of care and individualized attention. Dr. David spent lots of time figuring out the best options for my physical needs as well as financial needs, even down to considering convenience factors for me. The team was exceptional, not just from a customer service perspective, but from a genuine care and treatment perspective as well.

Whenever I call or walk into Family Eye Clinic, Pam always greets me with a cheerful Hello. Dr. David is friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable about eyes and eye-products. Several years ago, he assisted me in making the transition from glasses to contact lenses; thanks to him the process was very smooth, and I love my contact lenses! He also helped me last year when my seasonal allergies were affecting my eyes really badly by suggesting an over-the-counter eye drop remedy that worked very well. If I ever have any questions, I know that I can reach Pam or Dr. David at the clinic, and they will get back to me in a timely fashion with the answers I need.

Excellent Service. Dr Davids team was able to see me very quickly after I sustained a rather nasty eye injury. Fortunately, there was no significant damage and healing progressed just as Dr David thought it would. Nice to have some peace of mind regarding the whole situation. Thanks again to Dr Davids team!

We LOVED our experience with Dr. Dan David! First of all, we had an appointment with another eye clinic for four months away, but Dr. Dan was able to get us in the next week, before my sons driver vision test. Dr. Dan did a very thorough exam, we opted for the new 3-D retinal scan, and Dr. Dan even gave me a free pair of readers, explaining to me that I really didnt need prescription reading glasses. The onsite optician helped us to narrow down our eyeglass choices and even adjusted my old pair of glasses for me. She also explained to us how we could use our 2015 health coverage to buy the lenses and our 2016 coverage to purchase the frames (since we had come in December). This allowed us to purchase the more expensive anti-glare lenses. Overall, a very positive experience. We would recommend Family Eye Clinic to everyone!

I feel really bad leaving this review because the staff here was pretty nice. However, I don’t want this happening to anyone else. I usually go to an eye clinic back at my hometown, but came here because i really needed contacts. I told them this was my first time getting contacts and I needed to know charges, best options, etc. I also told them I had a trip to Mexico and graduation coming up so wanted to be sure I had good vision.First, they ordered contacts and told me they would be there FOR SURE on a certain day. That day rolls around and I don’t get a single call from them. So I wait a few more days before I call to get an update. TURNS OUT they are back ordered and are coming in a whole week later than I was told. That’s fine, but what’s not fine is no one bothered to tell me. I asked them if I could have my prescription (multiple times) and they didn’t give it to me. I only wanted it to rush order contacts online so I COULD SEE. Instead, they ordered me an extra pair of contacts that weren’t back ordered that I could have in the meantime. Now keep in mind, i came about four weeks before I needed my contacts. There was sufficient time. I’m just confused as to why they couldn’t just give me my prescription and tried finding alternative ways to help. It was nice but frustrating because I didn’t trust their word.Next, I had a HUGE bill. After looking at the other reviews, it looks like I’m not the first this has happened to. I originally wanted lenses and was going to order contacts online (my brothers do that so they advised me that was the best way to go). One staff member told me that was a good idea. Then when I went back in to order, another staff member said it WAS NOT a good idea. She said contacts would be completely covered by my insurance and was a cheaper route. When I came in to pick up contacts, my bill was $100. I was pissed. Regardless, I was in a hurry and paid it and asked for a receipt to talk to my insurance about after my trip. When I come back from my trip, I see a letter in the mail with. $200 bill!!! $300 for contacts?! I was extremely mad I called my insurance and the rep was just as confused as I was. They said the staff processed something wrong and my insurance rep took care of it (sort of). I still owe them $34 dollars and I’m so upset my first experience of getting contacts went this way. I feel like i got screwed over and they knew it was my first time too.
