Small town businesses that have lasted decades, especially through the Corona virus times, are powerful examples of American drive and fortitude. The fact that Alpine Lumber is also employee-owned makes it a 1-in-a-thousand business.Alpine is a bit more expensive on some items than other outlets, however their breadth of products and exhaustive offerings in every hardwar store category makes it the place you know you will find what you need.I have had 12 window screens made here so far and have 3 more to go. Excellent work and faster than I could ever expect. I also needed a specific drill bit that would go through 12 of wood wall and Alpine had 3 or 4 different sizes to fit the job.Architecturally, Alpine Lumbers building belongs in the museum-like category. I cant explain more than to say that it is again, a one-of-a-kind building for a one-of-a-kind business.

Alpine lumber is my choice of hardware, & lumber in Raton!! They seldom do not have what I am after,& the employees know the products they sell, & go out of their way to make you happy, compared to Ace Records Hardware who have disappointed me in almost every department. And have lied to me a few times. Ill drive to Trinidad if Alpine cant get or have what I need right away.

If you need wood supplies, this business has it, or will work with you. Their customer service is almost one on one. Thats good!!I get very good advise on electrical and plumbing products. As well, on stucco products. Your money goes farther here and always is well spent!

The folks at this location were very attentive. Immediately welcomed and greeted. When I went into the yard to pickup my number, the young man out there was friendly and helpful. He picked out quality lumber with very few flaws in it. Loaded it into my minivan for me while keeping up a good conversation. I recommend these folks to anyone.
