The customer service by far was the best I have had in years. Every one was so polite and helpful. My husband and I had an issue with how we were going to level our foundation and they were able to give us a great option and we were able to rent a generator and a hammer drill. We also found other things we needed for our build because of the great information they gave us. Everyone here is amazing. We will definitely be back. We are in Aguilar Co but the service is totally worth the drive.

They are for the small town hardware store, awesome. Great customer service... wide range of products. Good prices!!Though wood items are referred to their competition stores in the same town. They rent big and small tools. Have canning supplies and the absolute best in christmas lights and paint. Every time I have to go to see them, Im happy..

Do not try to buy a water heater from this place. I called because I live 30 minutes out of Raton to see if they had a water heater that I needed. I was told they had it and when I drove to town to pick it up they were very rude and told me they didnt have it. I left back home to look elsewhere. I ended up driving back and purchased a different water heater and when I got home to install it I cut it open and the water heater was dented and smashed in several places. I drove back a third time to let them know and was met by a very rude manager I would guess and she told me if they didnt have another one like that then I would have to pay another 70 dollars for another one because they didnt have any more of the ones I purchased. I let them know I had been there 3 times already because of them and I did not even get a sorry for all the trouble instead she tells me well do you want to pay the extra money or Ill put youre money back on youre card. Rude people with horrible customer service! Will never spend another dime there again!

I use too not like going in there because some of the employees treat you like your stealing something but since Ive been spending a lot of money in there the attitudes have changed except for one employee Chris Segura he goes out of his way to help out and is very professional thanks to him I will continue to spend in there!

They have pretty good selection of merchandise. Workers are attentive.

I recently was a customer there. This is the only company in raton that is militaristic when it comes to mask wearing. My wife and I were outside shopping for flowers. I was not wearing a mask. I tried to explain to the owner that the cdc has told us its OK not to wear a mask outside. I had just been inside the store and wore my mask. She became belligerent with me so I started back to my truck and and said fine now shut up, which I should not have. As I was getting my mask she yelled F### you the owner is neither professional nor friendly to customers. I have been shopping at Ace for 6 years now but will never go back. If other residents shop here I would suggest going to alpine and tractor supply. They really do value their customers.

This place has a great selection. Usually have what I need. ( unlike builders supply never has anything)

Awesome, nice and helpful staff. Very clean. AThey are always taking every precaution to help with the social distancing and mask coverings during this time. I love how there is always someone to help you find what you need. Store pick up makes it easy when you have babies or kid whom cant or wont wear their mask properly. Decent prices also. My husband and I bought a nice stainless steel propane grill for super cheap.

It has the selection of products I need except for lumber, but the staff is strangely hostile. I saw one sales clerk following a customer around being obvious that he thought the customer is a thief (didn’t help that the customer was the only person of color in the store). Signs everywhere threaten to ban or kick out customers from the store if they walk down an aisle in one direction versus another, use too much hand sanitizer, try to handle bulk screws and other things. I don’t know if they got robbed, but the place has the feel of a prison. I hope they can address this - that they can improve their customer relations - since otherwise it’s a decent store.

I went to the store for supplies with my two children and they wouldnt let me in because they have a policy of no more then two people entering at a time. I believe in rules to slow the pandemic but not allowing families in to shop is ridiculous. I cant drop my kids off every time I need something from Ace. The employees are extremely helpful but that rule is over the top. Alpine is more family friendly and allows for working fathers to bring their children in....... Several days later..... On top of that they closed my fathers account to reprimand my review. Nice.

Ray in plumbing is the BEST! He helped us get everything we needed for a solar shower & even took the time to set it all out on the floor for us so that even I could understand how to put it together & when they were sold out of a part he found the adapters to convert & make everything work. Ray is #1 and has the knowledge & experience - he made it easy. We used the shower today & it was FANTASTIC!! Thanks so much Ray!!

I am remodeling my home that I recently purchased. Ace has been my go to place for paint. Each time that I go the employees seem pleasant. Store is clean and well stocked.

Most of the people just stand around the front. Also most of the time are too rude to understand what you are asking for.

Customer service at this place is non existent. Rude, unhelpful staff. These are the most unfriendly, lazy, incompetent people I have ever encountered at any hardware store in the United States. Had an employee walk right up to me and my husband. When I told him he was not 6 feet away and to respect our space he asked me to leave.

Record hardware or as we call ed Ace Hardware in Raton has a million different items which makes it the place to shop if you are building something or repairing something. They have experts in all the fields on staff so all you have to do is ask and they will know the answer. I shop there quite often for everything from gardening to woodworking iron working Lawn Care as well as plants flowers vegetables Etc.. we are quite lucky to have such a store in town.

Very poor customer service. I needed a paint to match a can that was left out in the weather. The Male who was acting like he knew what he was doing in the paint section was very rude! He first helped another customer while helping me then argued about the color very rudely. I have never had such rude customer service at this business! I will never step foot in this business again. I will never recommend this business! There are other businesses to spend my money at! I believe in karma!

Chris is awesome but the rest of the team need to not be so judgemental and also I went in to look for a specific part to heater assembly for my water heater and instead of trying to help find the cheapest deal they tried to make it out like buying the whole water heater was my only option well hate to break it to them not!!!

Very Pricey. Its the only game in town. I drive all the way to Pueblo to Home Depot for important things. Good for small stuff or things you need in a pinch, but still you will pay twice what you do at Home Depot or similar. Also they are open to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and closed Sundays. People need hardware stores open on weekends especially. Close Mondays if you have too, but the weekends are when most people have time to do things.

Went in to look at wood stoves. Nice place, low prices. Real nice people.

I valued my Ace store in Texas but the one in Raton, they are so rude and seem to be put out when you ask for help. I avoid unless it is an emergency.

Ray was verry rude i spend a lot of money in that store and tried to take some parts back that was defected when i got them. Also i paid $1,200.00 for a riding lawn mower that was supoosed to come with a wash out on the deck and it didnt, they told me to come back in a couple days to get it. When i went back for the wash out that they told me came with the lawn mower they were going to charge me for it so i never got it.
