After a long road trip from Texas my truck needed an oil change and a check up. The guys were great and I felt good about their recommendations. There reassurance gave me peace of mind on my trip home.

Ive gone to the Proshop for various repairs and Ive always been satisfied with their performance. The staff is very competent and they have superb customer service, they even gave me a ride back into town when I didnt have a ride home. Ive felt like the price I pay is always very fair, which is hard to come by nowadays in the automotive industry. I would recommend the Proshop to anyone.

I though the service was good. My car needed an oil change and tire rotation along with a routine maintenance check. The receptionist was very kind and accommodating. I gave an average rating because I would have liked the mechanic who worked on my car to come out, introduce himself and explain all that was done on my car and what he observed while working on it. The services receipt told me what was done, but I would have preferred someone to explain it to me. They didnt replace the sticker in my window for my next oil change.I would have given an Excellent rating had I experienced better communication than just a receipt. Especially at my first visit to the shop.

After blowing a timing belt on the highway, and ruining my engine, I had my car towed to The Pro Shop on a recommendation. They helped me through the process even dealing with the warrenty people sometimes! They did a great job on the repair and the car rides like it did before the unfortunate demise of the engine. They were very thorough with the job and made sure that the car was in great shape when I got it back! They will absolutely have my business in the future!

We where on our way home from Yellowstone when our car broke down.The worker at the shop spent over an hour with us looking at the car. His determination was that the engine would need to be replaced.His recommendation was to take it easy on the way home and get it to a mechanic there if possible.All in all he spent about an hour looking at our car and didnt charge us a dime.Now hopefully we can make it home...

This is an honest place. Each time Ive been here, they win more of my trust. I like doing work on my car most of the time, but when the tools/skills are beyond my capabilities this is my go-to place.I know the basics, and I know when a car place is trying to scam me. Ive never felt that way here at the Proshop. They rent out cars if theyre working on yours. Theyre good at diagnosing issues. If they find an issue, theyre willing to bring you into the shop and show you how they know theres a problem.Thisll be my go-to place whenever Im in the area.

Needed a quick oil change, when I got there I also asked if they could check a tire that may have a leak and they were more than happy to help me out. Found the leak, switched out a tire for me, super friendly, fast and efficient service. Recommend this place to anyone.

Over the winter I had problems with my Dodge Cummins. I was on a trip and the computer went out. The shop where I was fixed it and sent me on my way. When I got back to Rexburg I had the same issues so I took it to the pro shop. They told me my lift pump and injection pump were both bad and the injection pump alone would cost 2800 which is normally a 1200-1500 job to fix. This issue did not seem like a fuel issue to me so I wanted another opinion. I heard about Jason at Jasons automotive, I heard that he takes the time to properly diagnosis tough issues. So I took it to him. And lo and behold the computer was shot again due a break in the chip wire. Everything was covered under warranty I told to the owner of the pro shop this, he told me that there is no way this could be and that the injection pump is bad and will be going out soon. Well I have drove 18,000 miles since I took it to Jasons and we are still running strong. If you have anything besides an oil change do not take it to the pro shop especially if you have a diesel they do not have qualified technicians to properly diagnosis problems and just want to through parts at the problem

Ive never had a more honest or trustworthy or affordable experience. I would recommend The Pro Shop to anybody thats looking for an automotive mechanic! Everybody in the office is very friendly and went out of their way to make my experience a positive one. Nobody wants to have to take their car in for repairs, but at least they make it less painful. One of the things I liked is that they offered a free loaner car to use while they worked on my car! The technician even took the time to explain to me why he thought my car needed the certain repair I had done (he even SHOWED me the broken part!). Thanks Pro Shop! ;-)

I was very pleased with my experience at the ProShop. I had to go there about five times in two months to get our cars ready for a cross country trip, and they were always friendly, the quality of the work was good, and the prices were reasonable. I had one repair that gave me trouble after they were done. I didnt have time to take it back to the shop for about a month, so I was worried with the delay they would recharge me, but they were so apologetic, grateful I came back and made all the necessary repairs quickly and for free.

I only trust the Pro shop with my vehicles. They are trustworthy and have fair prices which is everything I want in an auto mechanic. I know that I am paying for only what my car needs and that they arent trying to just get more money out of me but want to help me.

Jerum and his crew are the best mechanics weve ever found. Weve taken all of our vehicles to him for the past eight years without hesitation and wouldnt dream of going anywhere else. We also recommend him to friends with full confidence that their automotive needs will be met as efficiently and comprehensively as ours have been. Did I mention hes innovative? We had a problem on an old Camry when we first found him that others had quoted as costing $300+. He found an ingenious solution - for $25! Cant say enough good things about The Pro Shop.

The location is out in the country, next to the owners home (I suppose its the owners home) and the shop is a large tin building with a lot of junk cars around it. Dont let the unattractive atmosphere sway you from utilizing their great services. Theyre only 10 min outside of Rexburg.

I had a repair that was done incorrectly on my van. This caused me a great deal of frustration and was considering switching to new shop.Proshop fixed it immediately the next day, apologized and made a significant gesture to make it right. I was so touched and said I would be back again.Customer service is top notch and prices very reasonable for the work on my van.

I used to trust these guys but after they did a poor job on my last visit, Ive changed my mind. I came to the Pro Shop few days ago for an oil change. After they gave me the car I noticed the sticker on the windshield was not replaced, I told them and they replaced it. After that, I noticed the percentage on the oil life meter was still the same, I told them about it and they fixed everything for me. OK, thats not a big deal. In the evening I drove my car to Waltmart and when parked I noticed a lot of smoke was coming out of the hood. I opened it and there was spilled oil all over the engine. THEY FORGOT TO PUT THE LID BACK, AFTER CHANGING THE OIL!!!. They also promised to check the tire pressure but they didnt do anything, the tires were still very low when I checked them the next day. I definitely wont be coming back and risk damaging my car + not receiving promised services.

The owner is super friendly and helpful. The repair looked very well done and was fairly quick. The repair was replacing a broken lug screw.The waiting room was very dirty and both the girl who was also waiting and I were harassed constantly by flies.I was very pleased with the service, but the flies and cleanliness of the waiting room made me very uncomfortable.I would recommend this store to a friend.

Service on my vehicle was quick, reasonably priced, and honest oil change without feeling like I was getting ripped off. I called their competitor (0***) for a quote of a simple oil change consisting of conventional motor oil (not synthetic or synthetic-blend) on a 4-cylinder Mazda 3 and what I received made me frown with despair when I was a student at the University there. $48.00!!! The ProShop it is, so I thought because of the many positive reviews they had received. From that point on, I never look for a different competitor for the rest of my time there. The waiting room is a little untidy and the room can be very cold while you wait for the work on your vehicle to be completed in the winter time. So dont leave your winter coat in your vehicle while youre waiting. Take your vehicle to the ProShop for all of your automotive repair/maintenance need. The technicians are honest and professional. Bring your text book for your assigned readings, you will be out of there in a snap!

Their name says it all. Professional! These guys really know what theyre doing and they take care of you accordingly. They find out the problem and wont charge you any more than what you need. Not to mention the super great and friendly service. I had to get my car towed and they even gave me a ride back to my place. Pro Shop is my shop.

Best place in Rexburg to get your car worked on. Very honest shop. The manager let me pick what parts I wanted for my car and actually showed me what was wrong with my car instead of just telling me what was wrong. Prices were better than any shop in Rexburg I could find.

We had a hard time figuring out an antilock breaking system problem. After another shop couldnt fix it, they suggested the Proshop. They were helpful and fixed the problem.I was impressed with the troubleshooting they were able to do that others couldnt find. They are honest and work hard to find and solve problems and proactively work to prevent problems from occurring. While its never enjoyable to have car problems, the first step in feeling better is to take it to The Pro Shop.

Great shop! They stepped up to bat for me several times. Took time to figure out what was wrong with my truck and made sure they fixed it right. II trust them and Ill go back time and again.

Recently I had an issue with my truck and took it into Proshop for a diagnosis. To my dismay, Proshop informed me that both head gaskets were blown in my 94 Chevy Silverado. The cost would be $1800 to fix it.Not feeling like this could possibly be the case, and obviously leery of spending nearly two-thousand dollars in repairs, I took my truck to Jasons Auto in Rexburg.Jason gave me an initial quote of $1,200 over the phone to replace both head gaskets before I brought it in to have him look it over, $600 bucks cheaper than Proshop. After looking over my truck, Jason informed me that not only were the head gaskets fine, it was the water pump that had gone out in my truck and caused my issues.If I had trusted Proshop I would have paid $1,800 for something that wasnt even broken. Instead I paid $200 to fix the real issue, and my truck runs sweet as can be.Proshop was either completely incompetent or outright lying to me. Either way they will never have my business.

Had an issue with them charging me a diagnostic fee for a service that I knew had a problem already. Then got a call from them and they corrected the charge and apologized for that. Shows me that they care and are willing to make things right. Always friendly service.

The place is really sketchy and dirty, they had my car for three days for a fairly simple problem, and the mechanics left the fuse box cover off in my car on the front seat. The only upside was that it was cheap. They were also not very friendly and kind of rude to me,

They used to be great, very focused on helping the customer. There has semi-recently been a CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP, and we have just had pretty awful experiences since then. They used to tow for free if you lived in Rexburg, and offered a car for you to use free of charge (you had to pay gas I believe). Now they charge $60 for a tow, even if you live within a mile of two. No car is offered while they work on your vehicle either.Our experience: We had a time where we asked specifically for a synthetic oil change and a look at our suspension; We got a normal oil change (doesnt last as long, but hey, at least it was cheaper?) and nobody looked at the suspension. That was mildly annoying, but hey, things happen, right?Well, fast forward 6 months or so, I start feeling grinding in the front brakes, like a metal-on-metal feeling. (Time for brakes to change) I go in and have them look at it and pay their $80 diagnostic fee. They tell me that the back brakes and rotors are toast, and Ill need to get them changed, and the front brakes still have 40%+ life left in them. I had them replace the rear brakes and rotors, and I picked up the car right before they closed. As I left the parking lot, I could still feel the grinding, but they were now closed to I couldnt take it back. (NOTE: This is where I SHOULD have taken my car back first thing in the morning. This was 100% my fault for giving their work the benefit of the doubt and not doing my part as a responsible consumer.)Two weeks later, I still felt the grinding, then whamo-The breaks stop working completely. Fortunately I wasnt on the highway, and I was able to down-shift to slow down to an eventual stop. Brake fluid was everywhere (from the front brakes) and I had a nearby shop come take a look. They showed me that the front brake pads were so thin that the piston shot through it into the rotor, causing the brake lines to drain completely. (They also said that there is no way anyone could have missed seeing how bad the brakes were if they actually looked!) I called the Pro Shop and told them what had happened and asked if they would cover any of it. They told me that a) mistakes like that happen all the time, and b) they would take a look at it if I paid the $60 tow fee and an $80 diagnostic fee.That was my breaking point. It was obvious that someone didnt properly check the front brakes. I know that you dont run through 40% of your brakes in two weeks. What made it so bad was that they wouldnt admit to a mistake, and they wouldnt offer to compensate for a job poorly done. I have since taken my business to Clair and Dees here in town, and although they are slightly more expensive (by like $5) they have been very reliable and warranty their own work. Im disappointed that the new owners have begun to treat customers so poorly. Im disappointed that I can no longer give my business to what was once my favorite car shop. If you want to try them out, I wish you all the luck in the world, and I hope you have a better experience than weve had.

I needed my control module replaced recently and was quoted in town for $600. I took it to Jerum who double checked the problem and quoted me at a much more comfortable $350. His staff is friendly, they never try to change the price out from under me, just a bunch of good, honest people. Save yourself the hassle and drive the extra couple of miles down to Proshop.

What can I say, I needed a new radiator before my trip. A seasoned mechanic takes an hr and an avg takes 3 hrs. It took almost 7 hrs to get a radiator replaced. He overheated the new radiator because he didnt take the caps off the new one and connected the hoses on. Took 45 mins to realize his mistake and it was only because another mechanic asked him if he took the caps off first. I just wanted it done so I was patient with the time and mistakes, just as long as it got done right. I was told I was good to go when they finished. This morning I found a pool of ATF on the ground. The tranny cooler line connected to my radiator was leaking from not putting the bolt on properly, it was cross threaded. And the lower radiator hose was leaking too. Since today is Saturday, they arent open. I am to leave for my trip and now cant. I got a hold of the owner, he said there is nothing he can do. Find another napa care shop and have them do it. He could easily come down, take an hr out if his time and fix his mistake. Luckily I was able to fix it myself, but you shouldnt have too if you paid someone else to do the work that shouldve been done right. These guys are good honest hard working people, but my experience was not so good.

Well, I got my car back. I cannot believe what I got! I ended up paying $829.56 for the entire service. This service included having the intake valve replaced, a new head gasket set, new liquids, changing the timing belt & water pump, as well as welding my muffler pipe in two places where it needed to be welded.They didnt do anything to my car without me knowing it. No hidden costs and the price he charged me was better then I could have hoped for! The service did take longer then I had expected, but it wasnt the fault of ProShop. The machine shop that they outsourced didnt actually replace the intake valve but just cleaned it, so ProShop had to send it back to them to do it right. ProShop is not open on Saturdays, but Jarem met me there so that I could pick up my car. Great service, exceptional price. I will not go anywhere else, or endorse any other mechanic while I am in Rexburg!!!(They advertise mostly by word of mouth. Maybe that is why they are able to give such a good price, because they are saving money on advertising?)

They did a terrible job on my truck I took it in to fix water pump because it was leaking a little coolant, got that done and now it is leaking again, had them put new cats and muffler on it and I got it back and they didnt weld it all the way so now it has an exhaust leak they said they found the problem with my truck hesitating off the line and that it was a fuel pump so got a new one and I picked it up and they said it drove great and it still had the same problem, I put a new MAF sensor in it and it helped so now here I am with 2000$ In parts in this truck and now I have to go get it fixed again they did not do an honest job they made my problems worse, waste of money and completely dishonest wouldnt recommend to anyone would give 0 stars if possible
