I am a long time Metro Energy customer. My husband used to manage these types of services but since he passed away I have had to learn everything he used to do. Recently I have had to contact Metro Energy’s customer services twice and both times spoke with Rita. She has been patient with my inquiries and helpful with explaining my options. I think she should be rewarded for her expertise.
Everyone at Metro energy is so informative and helpful. I’ve been dealing with them for over seven years now. O’Neill one of the customer service agents help me with a dilemma I had with my cap budget program. He solved it with one phone call and I am very very pleased!! Charlene and Debbie also from customer service have help me throughout the years immensely I recommend this company to everyone
I called HOP/ Metro Energy one morning with a complicated problem concerning my oil account. During the course of the day I spoke to four employees in different states and each one of them answered their phone personally - no recordings or wait to be called back! Every one of these women spent a long block of time trying to help me, even calling other offices to get the correct information specific to my state. They all were kind, efficient, informed and polite, coming back numerous times to apologize for my wait on hold. They understood my problem and its urgency and did their utmost to help -- and they did! I spoke to Cheryl, Christie, Kathy and Sandy and eventually met Cassie in the Ridgefield NJ office when I dropped off my check. Sandy even researched my state’s specifics, looked up how far the NJ office was from me and called it to tell them I would be on my way.I can not emphasize enough how much these women helped to calm a very stressful situation for me and how anxious and willing they were to help. It all ended up well due to each one of them and I so appreciate their kindness. HOP energy and each of these women should be commended for their wonderful customer service! I have been a customer of Metro Energy for many years and they consistently do a great job! They installed a new furnace and oil tank earlier in the year and the new system works perfectly. Most recently I called to schedule our annual service, the customer service rep was knowledgeable and polite and scheduled the service in seconds.
I spoke to Melanie this morning about not having hot water. She was very helpful and friendly. She was able to help get someone out to take a lot on what’s going on. I highly recommend this company and very highly recommend her has someone to talk to.
Spoke with Rita this morning to report an oil leak at one of our churches. Before we were finished with the call, she told me the name of the service technician, AND that he was already on his way. I’m a client of Supreme Energy now name Metro, On 9/29/21 I have a new Oil tank installed in my house. I called the office to add oil in my new tank. Tom is the driver of the Metro oil company very nice guy. He started to add oil in the new tank and he went to check how everything is going when he noticed a leak. He immediately stop the oil going to the tank. Tom advice me to immediately to called the company who installed the oil tank to come back and fix the problem. Thank God Tom noticed the was leaking in the oil tank. I applaud Tom for his quick observation and to let me know right away. Thank you Tom! Keep the good work!!!!
We had a recent issue with our boiler…had some hot water but no heat. The technician arrived on time and was able to solve the problem quickly. He also advised wrapping some of the basement pipes to conserve their heat. We have used their service for years!

Paul (service supervisor) showed up on time and did a quick and thorough evaluation of my Central AC. He had to leave to pick up a part, was back in less than 30 min. and AC fixed after being down for over a month!Great service, highly recommend.
HOP Energy did my seasonal AC preventative maintenance. Setting up the appointment was very easy. Their communications were great. Their technician Paul Collins arrived during the service window. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He serviced both the condenser and air exchanger. Could not ask for a better experience. I highly recommend HOP Energy and specifically Paul Collins.

I called to renew my contract for next winters heating season. Rita was extremely helpful explaining all the options, the pros and cons of each plan even though Ive been a customer for years. She provided answers to all questions comparing the various plans; she did it in an unhurried manner, no matter what I asked or what the follow up questions were, as if she had all day to help me. We settled on the plan and she even extended my current plan to include the last top off of oil delivery for the season at this years rate. Good customer service. You get an A+ Rita!

I have a warranty through Sears and they’ve sent other companies to look at my AC system which hasn’t been working properly in years. Finally they sent Metro out and Metro recommended a full system replacement to which Sears agreed. I couldn’t be happier with the result and the efficiency in which they were able to get it done in such a timely manner. I highly recommend this company for their competency and attention to detail!I would be remiss if I did not mention Anthony who handled my warranty claim. He kept me updated as to the status and was extremely friendly, professional and persistent in getting my claim handled.

Ive had a good experience with this company for over 20 years, reliable service, automatic filling of tank based on usage, never a problem delivering because of inclement weather, yearly tuneup service and testing has kept my boiler working well for all those years without replacement.
Today Leo the Serv Mgr has corrected my problem and sent another Serve Tech named Ray. He was a professional and did a great job on my maintenance cleaning. Ray was very informative on everything he was doing. It was a pleasure to have a great Serv Tech like Ray. I would definitely request Ray for my maintenance cleaning next year. Leo Imhappy that you had this problem corrected so promptly. Both Leo and Ray deserve a five star rating on a job well done..I had a Serv Tech come today and Im not happy with the cleaning of my boiler. From the time he walked in he was on the phone. When open the strainer dumped the oil on the floor.Change nozzle but didnt adjust flame. Had to ask to vacuum the top of boiler. Didnt do the chamber - didnt even open the chamber door.Refuse to vacuum chimney & didnt bring any brushes. No efficiency test was done.This was very poor workmanship.I had my boiler cleaned for 30 yrs and this is the first time your Tech didnt want to do a good job in cleaning.
Loyalty and integrity is alive and well at Metro Energy! My mom had (Supreme Energy, Mitchell, etc.) for at least 35 or 40 years. Took the house over 2 yrs ago and kept them as they were always wonderful to my 85 yrs plus Mom. Yesterday I needed to rework my heating budget as oil is high. Worked with Mr. ONeil Dixon and it was a wonderful experience. I want to stay with them - they are good people and he made it happen. Professional, informative, and very courteous. Thank you Mr. Dixon and thank you Metro Energy. Dont be afraid to ask questions because they have the answers and will work with you.

Had to get written authorization from my life partner, with whom I share title to our house, so that Supreme Energy can answer question about our bill (which I pay). Seems extreme. However, they did allow me to put him on the phone & then they answered. Just luck he was available.

My family has been with Metro Energy lineage for over 70 years. Being inthe transportation business for over 45 years and have been in contact with many customer service representatives. By far Metro Energy is number 1in customer service. Today i spoke with Rita she is absolutely the epitome of what customer service is all about. Rita made me feel like family. Rita advised me it was her brothers birthday and she had to remember to call him wow who does that the issue i had was quickly taken care of and the reason why this happened Rita explained it to me in such a way i understood exactly what happened. i had several other questions also concerning my account Rita took her time with each question and reviewed my entire portfolio and brought everything up to date including my delivery schedule. Rita is very professional and caring this is a lost art nowadays. Today I spoke to Julia to discuss my two accounts, oil and install, a service contract, a pre-buy oil contract and my current situation. She took so much time with me to explain everything, in a very thoughtful, considerable and understandable manner. She was thorough and patient. She worked many scenarios and gave me the best possible solution for my particular case. She explained each thoroughly. I dont often write reviews. You know how it goes, we are all so busy and once we get things figured out, we tend to hang up and get back to business but it matters so much to express our gratitude and let others know when something is really, really good. Good customer service is hard to come by, but I had to share the wonderful experience I had with this delightful and knowledgeable girl - Julia was wonderful! Ask for her if you are having trouble making sense of it all. She really did help.

5 stars for John in customer service for explaining everything clearly to me and making sure we stay heated during the cold snap! 1 star off for it taking this long (4 years!) to get someone willing to explain from the POV of someone who had never dealt with oil heating before. Woke up this morning to no heat in the house. I called Metro @ 9:00 or so and spoke with Jen. She was friendly and helpful...not only did she assist me in paying my current bill, but she set up my yearly service call for May. Most importantly, she made arrangements for a technician to come to my home and, in just a few hours, the technician arrived. He quickly assessed the problem and corrected it within an hour. Ive been a long time customer of this oil company, but under this new management, Ive never had more reliable service. Thanks!

Yesterday (Sunday) I was in a panic because when I came home there was water on the basement floor and the furnace wouldnt stay on. An experienced technician came over and reviewed the situation. This morning we placed an emergency call to get more oil delivered. Veronica, the service rep, handled my call with empathy & gave me confidence that she understood the urgency of the situation. This company is truly a professional operation. Highly recommend them.

The service guy (Joe) was knowledgeable, and did a through job. Also gave me some useful information about the boiler. .. and also a nice guy! Pretty efficient. Only took about an hour or so.
The furnace went out on a FRIGID Saturday morning in February. My emergency call was handled by Maryanne at the desk. Friendly, calm, cheerful, competent, and sincerely concerned—enough to follow up on my service. She got me in touch with Skip at dispatch, who contacted me immediately and was on the case without delay. Two great employees making it easy to shoulder a difficult situation. Thank you.
John Williams and his partner whose name I dont remember responded to a service call for my steam heating system. I had old leaky pipes replaced and the valves on some of baseboard radiators began leaking.It didnt take long for me to realize that John knew his stuff. I have lived with this system for over 20 years and the heating system works better than I can remember. I have run across many servicemen who dont know much about a steam systemThanks guys!
The repairman worked hard at tracking an elusive problem down--in 90 degree weather, no less! And kudos to the service, for sending him out only one day after I called.
Service technician was great, solved the problem fast, to my no heat - furnace not running. Since its a bigger company now Hop Energy, versus what it was before Mercury Fuel, I believe the technician would have been here a little sooner. Other than that, its still good service, everything was completed within 3 1/2 hours. Thank You Hope Energy.
I had no problem with the service technician but I have a big problem with an 9-hour response time by Metro Energy (the local branch of HOP Energy). I called at 12am to request service for lack of heat and after calling 6 times, someone finally came over. They did not call me back in the interim to let me know why there was a service delay or at least to let me know when to expect them. I am absolutely disappointed with Metro Energy and the service response time has considerably deteriorated since the company acquired Mitchel Supreme. I intend to lodge a complaint with the NJ Board of Public Utilities. Once again this review has nothing to do with the technician and I am not surprised that you have not asked for an assessment of Metro Energys service as a whole presumably because Im sure you will know that it is abysmal.

Installed a new boiler today. Ran non stop for 5 hours. Pipe leaked. Wouldn’t shut off when temp was reached. Called service was asked if it could wait. Answered no. Service came 1030pm.The thermostat was wired wrong. Automatic feed didn’t work. No water due to leak and constant runningWas told to call for follow up in the morning. Still not sure if anything works properly.All for over 9000+ dollars. Ask me if I’m pleasedI wonder what the morning will bringWill keep everyone updatedPSEveryone was totally accommodating when selling me the boiler. HmmmmmMidnight updateGuess service call was not successful still running. Daughter is shutting it down. Worried about safety

We are so grateful for the fantastic over the top service from HOP ENERGY. I sent a request for service via their website and the following day they called me to schedule it. The servicemen showed up on time and called when he arrived. He listened to the problem and performed his evaluation of the furnace. He fixed the problem and even checked out other parts of the heat system. I am very satisfied with the maintenance agreement and recommend this company.
