We are a relatively new customer of Hometowne Energy (less than one year), but in that time we have found their service prompt, responsive to our needs and excellent. The transfer to their propane service occurred during the worst weather of the past winter. They installed their equipment, got it up and running quickly and Carried out all the safety checks to get us operating mid-winter. Service and support…keeping our supply up and providing us access to remotely monitor our fuel supply has been outstanding. All this is done with competitively priced fuel.

Always great service and a good price, especially with the pre-buy option.The one time I ever ran out of propane (my fault because I drastically changed my heating pattern) they were here within an hour of my calling, on a Sunday night, not only with the propane but also with a technician to make sure everything was working correctly. A great company to deal with.

Renting a residence, that for the first time required me to heat using oil. I submitted a request for how the process worked and the staff at Hometowne Energy were awesome at explaining the process from setting up an account to when to alert them to come and refill the tank. Very professional and accessible at all times!

Service was great until my most recent refill. My account was charged for another customers fill and it took 3 calls to correct. There is also an early pay discount which wasnt corrected from my december invoice which was part of those 3 calls and still hasnt been fixed so a 4th call is going to be made. The rewards program needs to be updated to let you know when you qualify for that reward instead of showing it, but just saying you dont have enough points. Overall Im happy with them and understand its a challenging environment these days. Without the last 2 months glitches, Id give them 5 stars.

Great value and pricing. When establishing service, a very friendly, qualified, knowledgeable rep. met with me. Pre-bought propane in summer for following heating season CHEAP. Always timely tank fills and great communication. Highly recommend!!

Hometowne Energy turned out to be a great choice for my propane provider. Being new to propane they gladly came out and educated me about the propane set up and the safety features with the shut off valves. From day one the sales rep has been incredibly helpful with any questions or concerns. Year after year their rates remain competitive with all of the other providers in the area (Trust me Ive done my homework and checked). Its also been great to have the same sales rep year after year. That tells me not only do they treat their customers well, but they also treat their employees well, which is a company Im happy to do continued business with.

I have been a Hometowne Energy customer for several years. I am not a complacent customer, i actively shop pricing for my heating needs every year, and they always have a good price. When i call or make the rare visit to their local office they are always friendly and helpful, same for their delivery people. I anticipate being a customer for years to come based on my experiences, but i will still actively shop my pricing to keep them on their toes!

We own our propane tank on Lake Seneca, NY and always shop around for the best prices. Hometowne always has the best prices and they deliver within two days. They are friendly and helpful.

Ive been doing business with these people for over 20 yrs. My only complaint is their billing. There is a need for better communication on when deliveries have been made. Monthly statements would be nice.

I have been ordering my fuel oil from them for several years now and have not had any problems. They are able to deliver normally within a couple days and are flexible on payment options as well. I always check prices before I order and they are usually the best.

I’m a first time homeowner and finding out that fuel oil is expensive. It was rough the first year, in the dead of winter the blower on my furnace stopped working so I called Hometown Energy and they sent somebody right over and get it fixed. I was so thankful! I’ve never had to worry about running out of fuel they are always here when it’s needed. They suggested I go on a budget for the fuel and that was the best thing I could’ve done. Like most of Hometowne Energy customers I have gotten so used to their on-time propane deliveries that I almost take it for granted that I will never run out of fuel. Up until this past summer, I never had any occasion to use their Service Dept. I called Hometowne and asked if they would move two tanks so I could pour a concrete pad for the tanks. When they came back to place the tanks on the pad they checked every appliance that uses gas to insure no leaks. They found two leaks, fixed one on the first day but had not been able to located the second leak. They came back again and spent several hours running a by-pass line which solved the problem.I was really super impressed with their problem solving and dedication to getting my problem fixed. We have used HomeTowne Energy since we arrived in Brockport 32 years ago, with the exception of a couple of years when their clients were served by another company. As soon as a return to HomeTowne was an option we were back! Why? HomeTowne staff demonstrate the best any company can offer: professional manner, prompt responses, courteseous, and always putting the customers needs first. We also benefitted from great consulting and service when we needed a new furnace and when we had central A/C installed. It is just a terrific company!

Weve used Hometowne for 11 years. We use auto delivery and never had a problem running out. Just added a new propane furnace and new tank to handle increased propane use. Installation was prompt and friendly.

I feel bad that I even have to give them one star. These people are so dense, they dont know their left from right!! My mother and I live in a duplex, about a month and a half ago she ran out of propane. When she called to have it refilled, she prepaid them $400. When they came, they decided they would fill my already full tanks instead and leave me a bill for $112! What about any of that sounds right?THEN after our tanks were completely filled on January 10th and had record high temperatures for January and February, they claim we used ALL 300 GALLONS! Amazing! So just before we received another huge snow storm, we conveniently ran out!BUT WAIT THERES MORETheir customer service manager decided to give me a call to straighten things out. She informed me that I was wrong, they had never turned the tanks off. She went on to tell me how I should have been checking my tanks and I should have called and scheduled a delivery (again, just got our tanks topped off). Not only that, but I was wrong about the weather in January and February! Amazing! And here I thought I lived here!NEVER AGAINGOODBYE AND GOOD RIDDANCE.

I have used Hometowne Energy for 23 years and have never had a problem with them. They have always been available if we needed extra service and we use their automatic propane fillup service. We have also purchased our propane heating system with installation from them when we switched out the oil furnace. We have only had to call them once and they came out the same day to check our tanks when I pushed on one with the mower. They will fill our propane grill tanks when they come out as well as the regular tanks.
