Don’t think there is a better sandwich in Northwest Arkansas than the Numan at Iron Horse Coffee Company. If I am anywhere near downtown Rogers, we have to make a stop. My nephews are always happy to join for a sandwich of their own and some hot chocolate. Love the historic charm of the building, too!
Good coffee and has a lot of vintage artifacts, even some candies and sodas.
Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Friendly people. Always a good choice!
If Im in the area and looking for a latte, this is the place to go. They have a great environment, they are super fast, want the drink tastes great.
Coffee is delicious! I dont normally enjoy just house brew from coffee shops but this is the exception. They cater to any dietary restrictions without sacrificing flavor. The atmosphere is awesome, with a cozy upstairs area filled with books. Sometimes the owner will bring in his friendly doggy (named Archie) and he will greet anyone standing in line. There was an incident recently where a customer refused to wear a mask and the owner handled it very calmly and in a professional manner. I really appreciate the staff protecting the health of customers. If you arent a big fan of coffee, you should give this place a try. I guarantee you will find something you love!
IHCC is like your favorite traveled aunts vintage lake-house basement full of interesting decor and memories from the past. The feelings and smells just immediately make you feel happy and ready to focus in on a wonderful conversation or effective work/study time. Dont get me wrong, who doesnt love some of the newer wave coffee brands NWA has to offer. However it remains that here is something special about the genuine and honest approach IHCC takes. This type of coffee shop is a dying breed. IHCC forever and for always.
Great atmosphere and the staff was on point with their service and hospitality. Its a very unique place with the library upstairs, multiple levels, and nice outdoor seating. Looking forward to returning!
Easily 4 stars based upon service, atmosphere and food. Earns a fifth star for being a great place to work. Even when busy, there’s room and solid Wi-Fi to be fully productive whether on meetings or working head-down. Can recommend the Numen IV.
The veggie sandwich is memorable. I don’t like olives so I hold the olive spread. It has wonderful bread and full of veggies.
OG downtown coffee shop. They were slinging Java downtown before downtown was cool. Plus their sandwiches are legit.
I dont drink coffee but I do eat sandwhiches and IHCC smashes the competition when it comes to gourmet sandwiches. I had the Bacon Pepper Jack and every morsel was a 10/10. I dont think they could have made me a better and I didnt even think I was that hungry when I ordered but there wasnt a crumb left on my tray. Nailed it! Cool atmosphere I found myself staring at everything inside and gawking like an out of towner would. Go here and you wont be mad you did.
Just as good as the first year they were open!
Where to begin? This place is cool. The WiFi password is framed on the wall and quite easy remember after a glance. They have a freaking cup of old school wooden pencils and a throwback sharpener for patrons finding themselves without a writing utensil. Seating is great and noise travels very little from table to table. The staff are very friendly with one another but offer an ever so slightly chilled-albeit vey polite-demeanor with the customers (I will also say that everyone appeared to be doing multiple jobs so things were busy). I saw some customers receive an exceptionally glowing and engaging experience while others not so much.Quite the situation occurred while I was here in which a fish tank was dropped on the stairs by a customer and everything was very intense for quite a while. The professional young women here handled it beautifully. Bravo ladies! I. Am. Impressed.Drinks are reasonably priced, good, but not masterfully made. The food is good, especially if you’re looking for a casual lunch.
Always a great place for a quick sandwich and my favorite, Raspberry Italian Cream Soda.
My wife and I stopped here for lunch. Wonderful food and very friendly service. If there was any complaint it was that the place was crowded, but given the quality of the food that was understandable.
Ive always loved the vibe and servers here.
Coffee great! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. As I sit here I can hear the baristas talking to one another about different recipes and what they personally like, its always awesome to hear the people making your product care and discussing the process! Will be back for sure!!!
Very friendly staff and a nice environment. We had a group of 7 and we sat on the loft without any disturbances!
Iron horse is an amazing coffee shop the atmosphere is calm and relaxing and it has incredible coffee and food will recommend cookies as they are to die for. If you get the chance to drop by i highly recommend doing so if you go enough you can even earn a free one.
Really great place to chill and do HW, not to expensive and the best BLt youll ever have
Excellent!! Unique atmosphere.. Great coffee.. Staff are fun and very helpful..
Their coffee is very good and they have an amazing veggie sandwich! Will definitely be back!
Great coffee, food and atmosphere. Great place to chill.
Great coffee! They have traditional cappuccinos, macchiatos, etc which are hard to come by in the starbucks world. My wife’s flavored latte was a little too sweet so if you are like us and don’t like the coffee to be overwhelmed by the flavor/sweetness ask them to go light on the syrup.
Coffee was pretty good and I liked the atmosphere. The staff was very rude to us. We wont be going back.
This is such a trendy place with great coffee, tea, and italian sodas. Watch for their cookie tarts they go great with a hot coffee.
Decent coffee, and nice atmosphere. Cool to see mostly can options in the cooler instead of plastic. The only room for improvement I see is that they gave us a for here latte order in a plastic container instead of in a glass. We specifically said for here because we try to avoid using single use plastics so that was a bummer and hopefully they can do a better job of not using plastics as much in the future.
Would give at least four stars because this has always been a good place with nice vibe. However, recently the staff have been snooty and not welcoming. Also, took forever to get our drinks with only one person in front of us. Since you can see them making your drink, you know it was mostly because the staff were just chatting it up and not working on timely service. Also would love to see a “for here” drink come in an actual mug
We have takin a photo at Iron Horse every year for any dances. When we are there we buy at least 6 -10 cofees. My daughters Homecoming was canceled due to Covid but they wanted to dress up and get the traditional photo on the steps. Tonight we went downtown Rogers just for the photo. It was 6:30. They do close at 7:00. While ordering the 7 coffees the kids were going to take a photo on the steps. The lady rudely said the upstairs is closed. I said oh well they are just gonna take a photo on the steps. She said the upstairs is closed. I said they cant even just take a photo on the steps? She said well they can take photos at the dance. I just couldnt believe it. We canceled our order and left. I couldnt believe how we were treated. My family and there friends will never return if thats how they treat paying customers.
Good food and good coffee. Will go again..
Excellent coffee, nice atmosphere, free wifi. In traditional mug with one free refill less than $2.
Trust me and go here. Great coffee and super comfy atmosphere, love it.
Clean, quiet and cozy. I really enjoy meeting people at this location because it has a character all its own. The coffee is good and a baked goods our generally fresh and delightful. What almost hate to recommend it here because I dont want too many people to know about it. On the other hand, I want to make sure they stay open for a very long time.
If I’m not mistaken, this was the first coffee shop in Rogers! It’s stood the test of time with its excellent coffee and even with big ol’ Onyx next door it takes the cake. It has an actual coffee shop atmosphere and doesn’t try to complicate things, while retaining their excellent technique and knowledge of coffee. Next time you walk in Onyx, say “cool!” and jot on down to Iron Horse for an excellent cup a joe! 😁✌🏻
The food is great but when I went there last time and got an iced mocha, there was so much ice there was only a few sips of coffee.
Iron Horse is a staple of downtown Rogers. Great atmosphere and delicious food. The double chocolate muffin is my favorite muffin in the whole world! Hands down the best pastries and bagels of any coffee shop in the area. Our office frequently orders sandwiches for lunch. They are always prompt with orders and weve never been disappointed. The Numan and Lady J are my favorites, but our office has tried many others and been pleased. Love Iron Horse so much. Its always a recommendation to guests from out of town.
I love the cookie dough mocha!
Well, the atmosphere was nice and funky, which I like. My husband and I tried coffee there about three different times this past few months. The coffee was delightfully good but served in the tiniest cup. It was terribly overpriced for the size compared to all the other coffee places weve visited in Rogers. Dont plan to visit again. Three times was enough.
Not the same as it used to be; coffee is good but the food is very inconsistent and they dont care about quality. I ordered a sandwhich with a side of cream cheese and it had not one but two pieces of plastic in it. The tomatoes were yellow and hard. I’m sad because I’ve been a loyal customer for years but this is not the first issue with their food I’ve had and the second piece of plastic crossed the line for me and I wont be back.
Patron since 2001. Amazing coffee; nutty flavor. Iced mocha has Ghirardelli chocolate made in-house. Hazelnut syrup shot enhances the flavor. The sandwiches here are fantastic. I like the turkey and Swiss on a Kaiser roll; the tangy mustard goes well with the tomato, lettuce, and pickle slice. The banana bread was a nice dessert. Love this place!
Very neat coffee shop with a great location just by the Rogers downtown. Had their sandwiches many times, always tasty and made fresh to order. Then, theres one barista, shes quite a jewel.
Great place with a cool vibe
IHCC is great for coffee, tea, lunch or a snack. The atmosphere is comfortable and the location is fabulous! Downtown Rogers is wonderful for a stroll or shopping. It just feels good. And the cream of jalapeno soup is awesome!
Cute new place.
This is my local coffee shop of choice. The coffee is great, and they have a nice tea selection too. The food menu is on the simpler side, but what they do offer is enjoyable. The staff is friendly and I highly recommend checking it out. The atmosphere certainly beats Starbucks.
Im here on a Saturday afternoon and its not crowded at all. Theres lots of seating available and theres a mix of people here that are working on laptops and others chatting and enjoying company. I ordered a super mint tea. Its calm and welcoming here, definitely coming back!
Friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. Good if you want to have lunch with friends. Perfect place to read and drink coffee, especially upstairs where theres a small library on the wall filled with amazing books of all varieties.
Been coming here since 2004, somewhere along the way the owner Emery messed up and hired a bunch of rude clueless people to work for him. And now the quality of this place has really gone downhill over the years.
I went here for the first time with a friend and it was amazing! I dont normally drink coffee but she talked into a caramel/vanilla twist, and it was delicious. I dont like the 1st strong aftertaste coffee has but this one I could barely taste. It was sweet enough that I didnt need to add sugar. The only thing that was that the barista forgot to give us our chocolate muffin. When we reminded her she gave it to us and apologized. The decor is extremely warm and inviting, and the upstairs was a cozy little spot where you could drink your coffee and read a book or watch the other people in the shop. I will definitely be returning to this coffee house!
This place is awesome. Amazing coffee, scrumptious muffins and great service. Great place for the kids who go to school downtown to hang out after school
This is reason people dont buy local. The server at the counter acted like I had offended her by ordering coffee. After starting my order she walked off while I was mid sentence trying to order my second drink. Fortunately the gentleman working there took the second half of my two drink order. She seemed peeved I wanted to buy a rock candy for my child in addition to the whopping two drink order. Once this ordeal of ordering two simple lattes was and a piece of overpriced candy was finally done we got to enjoy lukewarm lattes with no flavor. This was our second visit and the first they supposedly gave my wife half caff. This time we were told that wasnt an option ... What was she given the first time.... Never again. Junk. Highschool kids running a coffee bar was the overall feel. Wish it was better. 2 stars was a stretch.
Good coffee, shady employees. I went there today and accidentally left my sunglasses on the counter (my fault, I know) while I was rung up by employee 1. When I left an hour or so later, I realized I left my sunglasses. I ran back inside and a different guy was at the counter (employee 2). I asked him if they had found a pair of sunglasses. He seemed pretty sure and said yeah, I think so and proceeded to look by the register. He then went to the back and employee 1 said something to him. Then with a grin on his face, employee 1 looked over at me and then turned back around. Employee 2 talked quietly with him and then with another guy before coming back. He was now very confident they hadnt found any...almost as if he knew what happened to them but was sure I wouldnt see them again. The behavior of the employees was very suspicious and I will no longer be a returning customer at Iron Horse.
We have been having lunch and sipping on coffee at the Iron Horse for nearly 20-years. The food and coffee are always excellent and this is our go-to place to visit with someone or to just have a casual but enjoyable lunch. When you visit take time to look at the decorations to appreciate the owners sense of humor. While always good, the place is getting better with age.
Very good coffee, tons of flavors to choose from. They dont have any special customized drinks, but can make you whatever you want. Great staff and atmosphere.
Ive been a few times at The Iron Horse and its a really cool place to be for any age and what goes on and stuff I really like it the atmosphere is exciting and content all at the same time
Not customer friendly. Called in an order for fast retrieval. Lunch was on crunch time this day. Got to the store to pickup my call in order and there were 4 people in line at the cash register. I asked the girl at the register if they had a line so I could pay and retrieve my call in order. The answer? ( nope you have to wait in line). So 10 minutes later got my sandwich and left. Not a happy customer. Slow and unproffessional in my opinion. Good food but plan on a wait and dont go if you are on lunch hour from work.
I absolutely love this place. But the last time I went in and had my own drink in hand... They kicked me out. I just wish they where more respectful. Attitude and professionalism is way more important than making sure people buy you items.
Super friendly staff
The Iron Horse will give you a kick to the face that will keep you going. I dont get flavored lattes because I like traditional drinks that actually taste like coffee, though I know that they put four shots in a large drink. I usually get a quad shot with some cream, but before I add anything, I savor the crema - they know how to pull shots right. Sandwiches are healthy and tasty, but I usually head next door to the Rail for wings - thats just me.
The customer service is always a little off so I cant give it 5 stars. But the coffee is some of the best around for pretty decent prices. The atmosphere is the absolute best around.
Really like this place! Coffee is good. Cream of jalapeno soup is excellent! Veggie sandwich is awesomeness.
Spectacular coffee with a wide variety of flavors and bold taste absolutely love the atmosphere and the service was fantastic! But highly recommend this place to anyone who is a coffee connoisseur or just in Joys free time at a place with a friendly and cozy atmosphere great for getting on your computer and knocking out some school work.
There are better coffee options in the area but Iron Horse wins for atmosphere. Its a casual place to hang out and play games with friends without the noise and distraction typical of a coffee shop. The sandwiches are some of the best around and they have a massive selection of flavored syrups.
The ambiance was great and the food was delicious. The prices were reasonable
The coffee is good, but the real draw here is their sandwiches. They are delicious. I prefer the Firehouse, but there are several sandwich options to choose from. Decent prices... they are not the least expensive sandiwches you can find, but the quality is worth it.
Very nice atmosphere. Good coffee
Super great place. If you need a spot to grab a coffee and catch up with a friend or just to gather your thoughts, Id definitely recommend Iron Horse. Very friendly staff and good coffee. Its a solid double whammy!
I love iron horse they already know me as i walk in they are so funny
Loved it! It reminded me of some coffee shops back in Portland 😉
I got a white chocolate mocha and my girlfriend got a chai latte. We both asked for an extra espresso shot and both received watered down drinks that taste diluted and lacking in any real coffee flavor. Save some time and just go to Onyx 0.2 miles up the road.
Super friendly staff. My sandwich came out ridiculously fast and it was delicious. My coffee was spot on. Highly recommend!
The food and coffee are okay, but the service is sub par. The staff make you feel like an inconvenience and are not observant. We asked for 2 waters. They forgot to make them and then my husband waited for 3 minutes trying to get one of the baristas attention. Another woman ordered a mocha. They forgot to make it and then when she asked about it they said the coffee is self serve. The woman said, Even if I ordered a mocha? The barista seemed inconvenienced to have to make it for her and didnt even apologize for the mistake. If they dont step up their customer service, Onyx is going to put them out of business.
In a city increasingly dominated by chain restaurants, iron horse remains one of the rare vestiges of local food left. they offer a wide variety of sandwiches and drinks at reasonable prices. the place is a mecca for booksy teenagers and chatty middle-aged businesspeople alike, and for good reason.
An oldie but a goodie. I remember when this was pretty much the only cool thing in Benton County. Seriously. Still a great place to hangout. And you can never go wrong with Mr. Zeus, with or without the pickle!
Great coffee! They have a pretty large menu with drink options, plus offer a variety of sandwiches, smoothies. And pastries. This has become my regular spot. Punch cards are offerend on coffee and sandwich purchases made paid with cash. $10 punches = any free drink on menu. Competes with bigger coffee chain rewards!
Iron Horse is one of the oldest coffee shops in the area. It has been here before there was a Starbucks around every corner. They have a quirky atmosphere, good coffee and great sandwiches and pastries! Support Local Businesses!!!
Good drinks and sweets, but kinda expensive. Almost 6 dollars for a small smoothie. The staff do kinda give me an attitude when i order. but besides that, very nice, warm, cozy place. :)
Great place
If youre into great coffee with a variety of flavors, great bakery items, and friendly staff, this is the place to go. Conveniently priced drinks and everything in between. Outdoor seating available as well.
Very good local cafe with good selection of coffee, pastries, and non-alcoholic drinks
I fell in love with this little café in high school after regularly mooching their wifi after class and for many hours worth of projects. It has a cool funky collegetown-esque vibe and friendly service. After many years of coming here and ordering basically everything on the menu, I can say that I have never been served something that wasnt tasty. I especially enjoy their frozen green tea (similar to a Matcha frap) and can blame them for my current love of Matcha. They have gone through a couple fancy remodels but have left the Superman phone booth in place for years and years. If you want a little taste of nostalgia and coffee, this is your place.
The menu isnt in an easy to see spot, so I feel like Im holding up the line trying to review it once I finally get to it. The coffee wasnt that strong either, the shop looks great and the noncoffee drinks were yummy but for coffee I think I will pass.
I am so excited to find this place! Its great, its local. And good prices! And offer almond milk in any drink for no extra charge! This is awesome cause im lactose intolerant and usually places cost a $1.00 more for that. But not here. Its very afordable. New favorite spot.
Best atmosphere of all the coffee shops in the area. Very laid back and quirky. Coffee is good, but not as hardcore as Onyx and Arsagas. The sandwiches are amazing; much better than youd expect from a deli-style sandwich. Portions are huge, and ingredients are high-quality, so dont be put off by a $7 price for a sandwich. Its easier to hang out for a long time at Iron Horse, as they have a larger menu than any other coffee shop, and have actual meals, not just snacks and pastries. Plenty of different seating options for individuals or large groups. Easy access to power outlets, and decent wifi, so its easy to camp out and get some work done here. Customer service is always good, and the food/drink quality is consistent. The staff tend to have a cool bartender vibe, and less of the teenager at a summer job attitude. Only negative I can think of is the flood of kids from the nearby art school and private school during the 3-5PM block on school days. Otherwise plenty of seating, and the usual customers are a laid back bunch. Lots of board games, and a surprisingly well-curated book selection on-premises. If youre looking to make new friends and find out whats going on in town, Iron Horse is a hip and popular place, and the usual customers are less of the college youth group vibe you get from Onyx or Kennedy; its more of a place where youd strike up a conversation with a stranger about obscure vinyl, bleeding-edge technology, or local subcultures and scenes.
One of my favorite places to come, its a great hidden spot.
Been a fan of Iron Horse for probably 20 years. Particularly enjoy their sandwiches, esp the Mr. Zeus. Its a good spot to catch locals with a great balcony area for studying or quiet meetings.
Stopped in there today. The lady at the counter was so nice. Im sure I will be stopping in again.
Sandwiches were good. The Zeus was different and the olive tepanade was killer! the fresh meats made the sandwich.
