Fantastic, family grocery store. The cuts of meat are delicious and the grab-and-go section has tasty options for sides or main dishes. Theyve got all the basic necessities for produce, a large beer/wine selection, and everything else you could need. Plus the check-out line doesnt go to the back of the store like other places. Quick, easy, convenient place that we love having in the neighborhood!

Clean, well organized and fully stocked. One could have the perspective that they are overstocked, but …Don’t let that fool you! The items here aren’t old or out of date, but moving in fluid motion with this well oiled machine of a business . Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood providing 99% of your grocery and convenance needs. Expect to pay higher prices per demographic and supply and demand, but all good .

I love this little grocery store when I just need a few quick items. They have a pretty good selection for such a small grocer and a nice deli/meat counter.

Its a great little market. They helped me out last time I stopped in. The owner and his crew keep the place looking good and fully stocked. Definitely a great place if you live close by.

This little bodega is a staple in the neighborhood. They have a wide variety of items available in a convenient location. Everyone is very nice that works there, love having this close to our house.

Friendly staff. Excellent Fresh Foods section. HOT Kitchen chefs are amazing. The fried chicken strips are better than any restaurant. and they carry Downeys Kettle Cooked Vinegar&Salt chips. The store has a nice customer points system. Great location, funky parking lot, but a great spot for quick pickups and great mid days eats.

The personnel is incredibly helpful, the pricing are unbeatable, and they have more things than other grocery stores.

Good but some of the prepared food from the deli (that was packaged) was kind of old like the cucumbers were wet and rubbery.

Not a big fan of the plastic wrapping of husked corn and other veggies. It’s wasteful.

Lovely little corner grocer who has it all! Everything is always fresh and the basics are well-stocked. They also have a unique variety of desserts and offer specialty foods too. Last but certainly not least, they have amazing employees; very friendly and awesome customer service.

Just checked out Fresh Approach Two weeks ago after moving from Miami. Was looking for a small local grocery store to get some basic items quickly. Turns out they had way more than I was expecting! Their deli was on point, liquor selection was huge.. basically had everything that I needed and more. The staff is super friendly and were able to take care of me quickly. The owner introduced himself to me and even gave me a tour around his store as he knew it was my first time there! Love this place and will be coming back often!

FA is a bit expensive but that is to be expected from a small local grocery who most likely cant complete on volume ordering.That being said they have great service, a great deli, and overall a good smattering of items. For in between shops or last minute needs on grill day; you would be hard pressed to find a better place.

Ive been a customer at fresh approach for about 8 years now and they never seize to impress me! They are always improving their store and quality of food. I love coming here because the staff is like family and its so easy to shop here compared to Kroger or Meijer the big chains only know you as a number and dont care about their products. Im here all the time and I love the store! Also I highly recommend trying their honey chicken in the deli department.Thanks fresh approach :)

This is the best store ever. Everyone is so nice and the selection is solid. It’s the only place I go. Their cut flowers last way longer than any other store or florist too.

From the outside it looks like a nice bougie health food store, but Im newly transplanted from California and brother believe me that its really just not. Its a neighborhood convenience store with a pretty good deli, and yes the deli is pretty good, but theyre not trying to heal you with organic produce.I came for 3 things: loose leaf mate tea, almond milk, and agave syrup. Found the agave, and picked up some deli stuff since it looked pretty good. Came home and made a righteous sandwich, but WTF am I supposed to drink in the morning? My caffeine addiction laughs at coffee in a condescending way that only John Wayne could muster. Thank gawd for Amazon prime, I guess.

Severely overpriced! Bought fresh fish over 6 mos ago & it was bad. Went in yesterday & they claimed they no longer sell it because it didnt sell. More like no one wants bad fish. Decided to go with frozen, expensive lobster tails and not only did they smell funky, a good portion of the tails were green & slimey. Took a chance & boiled them. Not only didnt they plump up, there wasnt hardly anything left. Tasted terrible & were tough! Top it all off, at the checkout, we get accosted by some skanky floozy wearing a tube top WITHOUT A BRA trying to sell us gin. Mind you, this is a market, not a liquor store or bar. That classless bs sealed the deal. Wont ever give them my business.

Clean and organized store with helpful staff. Great place to pick up the one thing you forgot on your way home. It is a little more expensive but I love supporting a local small business. Location is close and convenient. They also have a great reward program.

While I lived in Royal Oak I used this market almost always. It had one of the last real butchers around. The deli always had great choices. It was open as late as possible on holiday days for that last minute item.

One of the best delis in the area. Awesome rewards program, you get points that redeem in store as cash. I use mine to get free steaks. Excellent produce and great prices on prepped and packaged fruits and veggies.

I really like this place. They carry Luigis lemon Italian ice and no other store carries them. Price is fair. Staff has always been super nice to me when Ive come in.

Great corner store for last minute dinner items. The hot food prepared in the deli is good too. Whenever were missing a few ingredients for dinner we run up there. Also, beer and wine selection is great!

Its just meant to be a corner store and for that it is good. It has a good food selection and even a deli counter. If you want any type of toiletries or medicine this is not the place. Also you pay the price for the convenience of course, everything is a little more expensive than the Kroger down the street.

The only complaint I have is that certain baggers need to NOT PUT 3 glass items in the same bag! 3 - 16 oz. bottles of Ortega taco sauce in 1 plastic bag with nothing else = a mess of broken glass! I mean, come on!!! If these younger folks would just SLOW DOWN & THINK ABOUT what theyre doing. It doesnt hurt, really. You might even learn something...

Beyond impressed with Fresh Approach Market. Happened to drive by and from the outside, knew this was going to be my grocery store. Super convenient, great hours and very reasonably priced. Ive always lived by the thought that you get what you pay for, and Fresh Approach lives up to that beautifully.The Employees!!! Its like the old days when I worked at a small town, family owned grocery store. Every single one of them greeted me with a genuine smile and EYE CONTACT (this dying art means so much to me regarding customer service). The guys at the meat counter, deli and espicially Dominic that checked me out, provided exceptional customer service. Dominic signed me up for the VIP program and when I asked if they had reusable bags, went and got them for me. This is, without a doubt, the only place I foresee going grocery shopping for as long as I live in the Ferndale area.It makes me so happy to not only support local but an honest family run business. Its been a very long time since Ive enjoyed grocery shopping...after today, Ill be looking forward to it.
