I love this store...BUT, please open up more check out lines.. no one really has the time to spend 30 to 45 minutes checking out.. one time it was exactly 1 hrs..and doesnt seem to matter what time or day of the week you go. But other then that,I Love this Kroger.
Online ordering and pick up has been great. The employees are always kind, helpful and being careful with delicate items like eggs and bread. Im really loving pick up as an option when Im super busy.
The check out lines are ridiculousThere is 2 lanes open and the lines are backed up to the meat department.Spoke with a representative on the phone. When I asked is there a way we can get self checkout opened or at least another cashier. I was told no and this is all they have.Employees are putting away baskets of food, that’s left in the isles because the lines are too long.A better system is needed…
Its a nice store. Good selection. Good prices. Ive been here over 10 times. You have to wait in line at checkout for 10 to 30 minutes. One time it was over 30 minutes. Completely ridiculous. 2 stars, it would be 5 if I could leave the store when I wanted to
The store and the employees that work here are all very nice.... However that self check out line is long as a dong all day long. Also, the bottle returns are always broken and in very bad shape. This store needs better management and more employees. The employees they do have probably need to get paid better for being overwhelmed and overworked as well.
Big shout out to Karen in the Murray cheese section! THANK YOU KAREN for going the extra mile for customer satisfaction! Your help finding the provolone salami rolls was very much appreciated! 😉
I hate to do this, I am not a negative review person.. but boy.. I understand that recently its been difficult to get employees, places are having trouble with staffing.. but I know that is not the underlying reason here, as this Kroger was like this pre pandemic. It doesnt matter what day or time you come to this store, expect a maximum of 4 lanes to be open with lines all the way to the back of the store. Furthermore.. Kroger is supposed to accept PayPal (barcode similar to ApplePay/ GooglePay etc) this is directly from their site We accept payment from Kroger Rewards Debit Card, Visa, AmericanExpress, Paypal, MasterCard and Discover.. yet the scanner DIDNT accept my barcode, and the assistant said we dont have that here. Ohhhhhkay... had to step out of line, download their proprietary app, create an account, call my wife to get my credit number, add the card, get back in line.. seriously? And, I get that most people have cards on hand, but also people used to carry cash, and before that, gold and frankincense.. but Im all about moving forward with technology, technology that has worked for me everywhere else for years. I dont need baggers, I can do that myself.. but we DO need more cashiers and consistent training (not the cashiers fault *cough upper management cough*)
The place us very nice inside and out. Feels like a fancy wal-mart. In fact it was.my first time actually really shopping there. Great stuff, but as far as the atmosphere it was very uncomfortable. I was made to feel like a out cast. Just shopping like everyone else, but I got several different women clutching their purse when I walked past them. The cashier I delt with wasnt very friendly or welcoming so all and all that made my experience at this kroger not so great. Great store bad atmosphere. Gotta feel safe and comfortable where I shop.
I’ve been here before with little to no issues, but oh my goodness the last time I was here a couple days ago was awful. There’s always a wait for the registers, but this particular experience takes the cake. I waited in line for 40 minutes. There was an issue with someone 2 people in front of me, not sure what the problem was but there were 2 employees at the register. One of them should’ve opened a new lane to help the people waiting while the other figured out whatever issue they were dealing with. Freaking ridiculous and it reminded me why I don’t do in store shopping anymore.
This location is much larger than most Krogers, but also more stocked. The Bakery I come to from 14 Mile because its amazing! You truly have a better variety at this location.
Scan and Go is a game changer. I really hate shopping and using this service has helped me get what I need in under 10 minutes. Its been a lifesaver when my time is short. I scan my items as I go then at the self checkout I scan that and just pay. Its soooo convenient and Im not being paid to say this. I will actually drive out of my way to go to this Kroger to use this service. Also, they have many of the Asian and Latin foods I use.
I love this Kroger, but like many other Kroger stores, the wait in line is UNACCEPTABLE! The line for the ONE register that was open was so long (strategically in the snack aisle?) that people were opening and eating items off the shelves. This is poor management. The lack of staff is not exclusive to Kroger, but management should know how to properly schedule the staff they have. There are too many employees walking around the store doing what seems like nothing. Train them on registers! Is the Kroger corporation just cheap? One has to wonder, are we moving to self check-out and curbside pick up only. Sad.
This place has turned into a complete joke. The wait to just checkout can be up to 30 minutes and the line down two aisles. The management and operations must be inept. The service is the worst. They will have single line checkouts and not put anyone on the self checkouts which can checkout 6 people at a time. How is that efficient? Makes no sense.
No carts were available inside at about 8pm on a Friday. Shelves were severely understocked. A lot of the produce was rotten. There are so many cameras with screens showing their feeds that I felt like I was in a remake of 1984. My cart wheels locked up at the exit and a worker had to come unlock them. I guess thats normal here??I will be going pretty much anywhere else for groceries in the future.
I would strongly avoid this store. There were zero carts in the store, less than helpful staff, many empty shelves and at least 1/4 of the produce was past it’s prime or rotten. The carts also have wheels that randomly lock themselves in violent manner, and there are more surveillance cameras than New York’s Times Square.
This has always been my last choice of a grocery store, but sometimes I go out of convenience. But I’m pretty sure I’ll never visit this location again. I was looking for champagne for a gift whose place had a “see associate” sign and no one would help me. I asked store associates to call for help, and I waited around for 10 minutes. I eventually called the store and they told me to go to the cash register to ask for a manager. I went to the self checkout and asked for a manager and they said I needed to wait in a register line before they helped me. I had nothing to buy at this point, mind you-so why would I wait in line for another 10 minutes in an already understaffed store if they didn’t have what I needed in stock in the first place? There was no one staffed at the help desk either, so I just left. The understaffed excuse is ridiculous at this point because the person I asked at the self checkout was merely supervising as it was. One hard working person is worth a dozen lazy employees. I’m baffled by the lack of initiative made by the staff here.
Never knew this store (location) existed....lol I have to admit that its one of the best stores to shop at. The employees were friendly and exceptionally helpful. Shelves were stocked and very well organized. It took me a while to get used to the layout but I definitely plan on returning to this location.
Very nice Kroger compared to many others in the metro Detroit area. Both the parking lot and the store are expansive. Store signage is very noticeable and helpful. I found the deli and the butcher case had options not available in other stores I have recently visited. They were out of a couple of sale items, but seemed well stocked on just about all other items. The store was also very clean and well organized.
I go here often for convenience, but the store is usually cluttered and not well stocked. Many times they are just out of stock on stuff I really need, things like pre-packaged deli meat and cheese or even Kroger brand bread, the meat department suffers from a lack of variety, I wish they had more turkey products like breakfast sausage. I enjoy the Home and Office departments, those are refreshing. Overall its a decent place to shop, but Ill detour to the Main Street Hollywood just for their absolutely refreshing atmosphere and tidy store. It makes a difference.
This place is clean and spacious. The marketplace offers a vast selection of home goods and supplies in addition to the standardized grocery selection. It is usually pretty clean, relatively well stocked. The problem with this location is the staffing. The lines are ridiculous. It seems like every time I go in there it takes 30 minutes to an hour to check out. Ive seen the self-checkout line go all the way to the back by the meats and warehouse. Dont believe me, just go in there on a typical weekend. It doesnt make sense, more than half of their checkout lanes are shut off, half of their self checkout locations are turned off. And when you mention anything about how long the lines are, you get nothing but attitude from the very few, slow moving workers that are there. They probably need to be paid more as they certainly dont seem to be working with much motivation.
Is Kroger the new Walmart? Not only is the energy screaming kill me by half the staff and the people shopping there, it’s also understaffed. I’ve seen more lively people in a homeless shelter. I dread coming here hoping that it’ll be a business that I can be proud to patron but sadly i hope it goes under. Maybe if people start stealing from here they might higher more staff. Only two checkout lanes open with more than 25 people in each. As well as a small section for the self checkout that the staff herds you into that’s even longer with the machines constantly calling a staff member over to assist you in nothing. I’m glad I don’t regularly shop here. I recommend anyone needing grocery’s take your money elsewhere until they hire more employees.
Today was the last straw for me. Walked in, saw the lines wrapped around the store, saw 3 rows of self checkout lanes closed for some reason and I had just had enough. Dropped my cart and walked right out.. Average wait time in line is 45 to an hour (Ive been timing it on my phone). It been this way for over a year now. Its ridiculous. They have a good selection but its not convenient at all. Either Kroger isnt paying people enough to attract employees or they cant schedule to save their lives. Either way Im good on coming back here.Edit: just wanted to add I went to Meijer on 13 after I left and they were packed. Still spent less than 10 minutes in line.
I dont mind this store, but their lines have become unbearable. I only come because its a stones throw from the house. But lines to the back of the store for months is absolutely ridiculous. I know hiring is hard right now. But your a massive chain. Figure it out.
Enjoyed shopping here. My first time.
It is a nice store and well stocked if you dont mind waiting 30-40 minutes to checkout and this is during the week and not during peak hours. Prime time and weekends have even longer wait times. Hire some more cashiers.
Please do yourself and avoid DAWN the cashier. Honey I was in line for 35 minutes. As a for cashier, I can tell you she is doing one of two things: 1. Being lazy and slow because she don’t want to work there. OR she is choosing to go slow because they aren’t paying her enough to exert any energy. I watch 15 people in the next line checkout before I reach my registered. I called the manager while I was in line to inform her of the cashiers actions. She told me I had to deal with it. For that reason I will never go to this kroger
Nice place. Price are different at ever Krogers. Good to see our folks from 11 Dequindre over here. They are 👏
Unbelievable! Great place to shop but its impossible to check out. Lines extend to the back of the store. I guess they dont have the staff open more lanes. The second self-checkout section was closed.
I shop here regularly and decided to finally try Click List. We specifically chose a pick-up time that worked in our schedule, 9:00-10:00 AM. received a call before 8:00 AM that our order would not be ready in time. Then received a text that said our order would be available between 10:00 & 11:00. My wife was on her way there and we received a call that the order was not ready but should be at noon, that we would receive a call when out ready was be ready. At 1:00 we had not heard anything so I called the store to find when our order would be ready, they informed me it would be another 3 hours. Our order may be ready 7 hours after it was suppose to be, have not picked it up yet. If you are that busy and or short staffed then you need to be reducing the available time slots and setting realistic expectations. What if I was not available to pick-up our order when it was finally ready?
Do not shop here unless you want to wait 40 mins to ring up your own stuff
Only go to this Kroger if you have spare half hour + to wait in the checkout line. Even for self check out you most likely will have to wait 20 or more min. 50% of the time I go here the line is LITERALLY to the back wall. No such thing as popping in for a quick errand here.
Grocery pick up is horrible. Waiting hours which resulted to them not knowing when my stuff would be ready. As I’m sitting in the pick up aisle I see the issue. The young male loading up cars is tired or unstaffed, I can’t determine. Maybe he is unsatisfied, but it’s showing in the hours I wait. Then! He comes to my car saying I owe money, I look at the paper and he is giving me somebody else stuff. I asked for an update and he said he doesn’t know, nor does the manager. Long story short, highly recommend shoppers to go to another Kroger because the managers here cannot MANAGE.
Good selection. Good prices. Horrible long lines at check out
4 times in a row the grocery pickup order was not ready. Told onsite to come pack Im 2hrs. Second time waited 45 min and then a guy comes out and said it will be 20 min but here is a 10 buck gift card. Third time got to store told 2hr delay. Come back manager doesnt take call guy brings out grocery. At home missing half the order go back up. They missed part of order here is another card. I dont want gift cards I just want my order. Today ordered to get rid of gift card and this time they called 15min to pickup time guess what 2hr delay. And for those who say go in and get it, my legs broken.
Always has one self checkout and 1 or 2 registers open. Prepare to wait 30 minutes just to check out. SMH Kroger. Just shop at Meijer and check out in a quarter of time
Absolute horrific service! 100% would recommend shopping at Rite Aid over this place! Had issues with my pickup order and for 35 minutes absolutely couldn’t reach a single person in the store !!
Excellent store. Worst service. There are rarely more than one self checkout and 1-2 regular lanes open despite there being 3 self checkout areas. Waiting in line more than 15 minutes is the norm. I have switched almost all of my business to the Hollywood Market down the street. Smaller selection, better meat, significantly better service. I highly recommend you all do the same until this kroger shapes up.Addendum:Just read the other reviews and it is hilarious that they clearly are buying reviews/creating fake accounts. Please see the several “local guide” 5 star reviews without comment that come in waves on the same days every so often. (3 days prior to this comment is an excellent example)
They advertise fresh produce. Almost every bag of grapes I looked at was beginning to brown. Finally found a bag I liked. Poor selection of pre cut fruit. Meijer is much better.
I just waited in line for an hour. Theres one register open on a Friday evening. When I got home my milk was warm and my meats were all sweating a ton. Also, I had a one package of meats in a bag with dental floss, energy drinks, and snacks for my daughter. My other package of meat was in a bag with strawberries. All of the boxes in each bag were crushed because of how they were packed. This place needs a lot of help.
Employees are great and I know they’re working so hard but the store is severely understaffed, and has been even pre-covid, so this is definitely a management issue. Every time we go there is at least a 20-30 min wait for checkout (a few weeks ago we were in line for over an hour), lines backed up halfway to the back of the store, no room in aisles to shop since they’re cramped from the lines, only 2 or 3 lanes open, and no bagger. If I wanted wait in ridiculous lines and bag my own groceries I’d go to Aldi. I avoid coming here unless I absolutely need to.
This place is always a disaster. Deli counter is never open, always out of items and the checkout lines are insane. Be prepared to wait 40 minutes just to checkout. I avoid this Kroger as much as possible
From visit on 8/26/21....Lines to the back of the store, half of the self checkouts closed, only 3-4 full service checkouts open at 5p on a Thursday?!?! Would understand with the staffing shortage that everyone is facing but there were staff walking around the store. This used to be my go to store. I started to avoid it during COVID due to long lines, but then it seemed to get better. I highly doubt I will ever return.....
Best Krogers I have been to. Everything is fresh. I love the sushi and of course the $5 sushi Wednesdays. Always clean and workers are polite
Nice Kroger, staff is friendly. They even helped me find the specific feta cheese i needed in a jiffy! Thanks, great lastminute trip to the store ive had in a long while
9:20pm on 7/8/21. Half of what I was looking for was out of stock. Then 22 people in line for self checkout. One single cashier on another lane. Plenty of employees stocking shelves, so not a staffing issue. Next time Im driving the extra mile to Meijer. Theres too many shopping options in the area to have management this poor.
Before 9 am do not go if you wish to get in and out. They don’t employ any cashiers and when I was there this morning the U scans they had open 2 out of 6 were out of order. The line was halfway back the store, 20+ people waiting, some with full carts of groceries. Nobody from store management seemed to be aware or care. Took me longer to checkout than shop. There are other great stores in the area...Fresh Approach and Holiday Market.
I expect to have a bad time shopping here but somehow they always do something to exceed my expectations of how terrible this store is.The checkout lines always run to the back of the store because all of their employees are busy blocking the aisles for Clicklist. They have 18 self checkouts and rarely open more than 6. Any little thing at the self checkout will make it so you have to wait for an employee to proceed. If you try to avoid shopping by ordering Clicklist, they wont even bother to look for half the things you order. Any produce you get will be rotten.Today I tried to return bottles here and, not surprising, all but one of the bottle return machines was broken.Just close the store already.
I love that they have everything in here. I forgot I was in Kroger and not a super store. This location is awesome.
I really like this Kroger store. The hot deli smoked chicken wings are delicious. Also its clean and well stocked. Decent customer service.
Well I work here and for all you people I would appreciate if y’all appreciated us that are working when it’s times like this in life nobody wants to work so for those like me that show up everyday and do jobs that aren’t mine I would appreciate if y’all showed us a little bit more respect because I’m sure you guys aren’t shopping elsewhere for a reason right ?🤔oh okay so all the complaints aren’t needed….if that’s the case get your younger teen kids to get a job and help out in the world…
The store is always organized and clean. Ive never had an issue finding someone if I needed help. Recently went and bought fresh lunch meat from the Deli. This young woman name Marilyn (who works in Deli) was such a delight! An amazing personality and definitely had customers laughing and giggling. She made the trip that much better! If you ever get the chance to run into her, she is a WONDERFUL BRIGHT ball of SUNSHINE in your day!
Whoever is managing this store needs to be fired, immediately. Went in to grab a few things after work today, and again there were lines LITERALLY to the back of the store. Not the first time by any means. I go to 5 or 6 other Krogers in the general area and this is the only one that is this incompetent.*If theres a district manager that wont let the store manager hire more workers during this peak after work time, then HE of SHE needs to be fired. This is an easy problem to fix. SO FIX IT!
I like it for the fact theres never a line in bottle returns but their prices are expensive
Checkout person Nicole was in a lot of rush, throwing our stuff around after scanning. Seemed so flustered that I couldn’t wait to get out of there! Made me nervous lolNot to mention super long lines!
Horrible. One set of self checkouts open and one register. No manager insight. Where are the managers? Why are they not on registers. Passed more people pulling for online orders then on registers. The management should be on the registers when the lines go all the way to the back of the store and turn along the back meat wall. Really kroger pay your people more and hire people. I can just guess all the food left behind because people got tired of waiting got reshelfed including the refrigerated and frozen food. I am sure most of it was not returned to the coolers quickly since they dont even have the staff for another register to be open.
This store sux. There is rarely more than one line of self-checkout open, the lines are enormous, and the management is apathetic. I recommend finding a different grocery store.
Stopped by after work today to pick up a few things. The lines were wrapped around the grocery isles in the store. I waited 1 hour in line and couldnt get down some of the isles for my groceries due to the check out line running down that isle. While I was at the deli, they were already short staffed to begin with, the manager came and took 2 employees to go to training or something right in the middle of half my deli order being complete. I found it to very rude. The manager didnt even care that the girl behind the counter was in the middle of slicing some ham for me. Poor management of the store, and as for me I wont be back, believe me I am not the only one Im sure if that.
Worst Kroger ever. Long lines. Impossible to find help.
0 checklanes open. Employees that are working are pushing carts around doing…not sure? The pandemic is over, pay people more! This place opened and was so promising but is being run by incompetent people. Self check out line wrapped to the back of the store weaving in and out of aisles. Get to self checkout, attendants nowhere to be found. Truly insane to run such a busy store with no staff. Do better Kroger
Good groceries and other sundries, can be hard getting out of the parking lot.
When did this Kroger become ghetto? I used to come here all the time because it was a nicer Kroger but my last couple of visits have been terrible. Garbage in the parking lot, rotten produce with bugs, very little selection, and the last time I had to bag all of my own groceries. The cashier was rude, and more concerned about singing instead of helping me bag the groceries.
Probably the nicest kroger in the area, however it takes me longer in the checkout line than it does to do my actual shopping 🛍 😅
Its a whole lot more than a grocery store,? Ppl are nice, and friendly! Very clean and pleasent place to shop! Very nice variety of things to choose from!😊💗
Yes this is my grocery store now they have just the right amount of specialty items that a home chef needs
Like most reviews....Shelfs half full minimal lines open and lines half way to the back of the store...Making navigating shopping even more difficult. Was first time at a marketplace...Ill stick with my small krogers near home and mijers for non perishables
Don’t come. They might as well be closed with the amount of people working checkouts. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes even for self checkout. Management is a joke.Don’t even an order for pickup. They will just delay your order and then when you actually get there, there will be a single person bringing out orders.
I do my shopping there and get gas. They are helpful showing me where items are that I cant find
The only kroger store in oakland county with a well maintained fleet of electric cars for the handicapped
This is the worst Kroger I’ve ever been to. They usually only one open section of self checkout open, and there’s almost always a massive line. How hard is it to open more? I come here because it’s the closest Kroger to my house, regrettably. When I went to return some cans today, there was trash overflowing in the bins, and only two plastic/cans receptacles open. I walked back to my car with a cart full of glass bottles.
Great staff. Didnt appreciate the solicitor inside the store.
Always many & good choices. Only thing is not enough cashiers at this time. It takes 20 min to shop & more than that to check out. I realize the virus is cause.
This store needs to hire more checkout workers. Even during the workday, lines are 10-15 minutes long, stretching through multiple aisles.Good prices, good selection.
The best Krogers I been to yet!
Aside from the store not having either of the items I went there to purchase, it was fine.
I think I wait longer in line here than I ever have for the top thrill dragster in cedar point. And this has been every day since the start of COVID. They just don’t care to fix the issue. And then they will probably buy a bunch of fake 5 star reviews to continue altering their overall reviews.
I love this Market becauseIt has burgersSelections of food They cost less for food there a supercenter in royal oak clawson Madison heights Michigan
Like others have mentioned, if you go here before 9am or after 6pm, get ready to wait at least 15 minutes in the checkout line that stretches to the back of the store. This is because they only use 1-2 cashiers and 2 of the 3 self checkout areas are closed. I think the management is using the pandemic as an excuse to run the store this way, but if you go to Meijer, Fresh Market or any other grocer, they have adequately staffed checkout and you won’t have to wait more than a minute or two for checkout.I can edit the review if this Kroger can fix their checkout problem, but until then people should avoid going here.
Its just a great place as got a huge cheese Section 8 has sushi its just beautiful
Better than John r location but quickly always seems to be restocking...like stock all over the aisle.
There is absolutely no reason to go to this Kroger unless you love standing in lines that go all the way to the back of the store. I’m fairly certain two employees total work there and they don’t care at all.
What a great store! A very stark difference from the Universal plaza location, which I live right across Dequindre from. I dont understand why this one is SO much better, but Kroger should do something about that particular franchise, it is giving them a bad name, obvious remedial management!
I came for frozen strawberries for a pie and I couldnt find the frozen fruit. There were two signs that said bread in the freezer section. And it didnt say frozen fruit on the top aisle either. I asked multiple employees and they literally didnt even know where they were. The sushi was also really expensive and everything else was very pricey too.
Was able to return Wave soda to store ... they sell Wave and take the returnable.Kroger has a great selection of goods.
Extremely disappointed. The Mrs & I stood in the check out line for 45 min. Not how we were expecting to spend time after already shopping for over an hour. Oh an the check out is not easy to navigate & use. I think well stick with Meijer.
Unless ya want to spend 30 min in line stay out. The handful of times we came register lines went from the front to back of store.
They always have what I need but you will be in line for literally an hour! Also the manager Jess is RUDE
This is the newest Krogers in this area. Always well stocked with a wide variety of products. My visit last night there was a huge troop of employees getting ready to stock and clean the store getting ready for business first thing in the morning. BTW got everything I wanted and more than one cut of fresh meat
Bottle return still closed unfortunately. Slim pickings on some produce, but the store is always clean and organized.
Only 1 recycling machine was working. We needed 2 items and to cash in our recycling tag. Only 4 human registers were open, each with lines over 8 people long. No 20 item or less lines.
Great for the things I need like Guernsey Farms choc milk, and the buttermilk is awesome!
Try to not visit more than 3 times a week . Great cashiers and bagger guys and gals
Went here for the credit union inside the store. Excellent service. Friendly and professional.
Went in last night. When I went to check out, they were closing half of the self serve registers. Leaving only 6 open. By the time I was done checking out, there were about a dozen people waiting in line behind me. Meanwhile, they had 2 single serve registers open. If they were smart, and CLEARLY THEY ARE NOT, they would have 12 self serve registers and 1 single service register open. While I was scanning my items, I went from being able to an item every 2-3 seconds to every 15-20 seconds. Further slowing down the line for the self serve registers even more. They owe everyone that was stuck in that line an apology for wating their time because this Kroger isnt smart enough to hire and schedule competent mgt.I plan in taking my $1,200+ a month grocery shopping elsewhere. I suggest you do too. Stand up to their ignorance and arrogance and just walk away!
This location desperately needs help with customer service skills / staffing. I came in to exchange a soda stream cannister. Says 15.99. I waited in line for 15 minutes to be told I have to go to customer service, okay fine.As I walk up I hear We all out, with the Customer Service Rep looking straight at me. I hold up both canisters showing im here for an exchange.(All out of what? There was a full rack of the full canisters?)Wait at customer service, get rung up for 31.99.Customer Service Rep = CSRM: Price tag says 15.99 in the isleCSR: Price went up, its like that everywhere.M: So the price went up 100% and the price hasnt been updated?CSR: *With a big smirk* I guess soLooked into it online, turns out the more you bring back at once the less the shipping? Could have elaborated on that a bit to explain why the price hike.Ready to take my $200 a week elsewhere.
