A medical office where no one wears masks? Went in for an appointment and saw no one wearing masks but one person at front desk. These are medical professionals but I guess science is not a consideration or the safety of patientS? When asked why- the assistant or nurse said because it’s not mandated. I asked - then are all those not wearing masks vaccinated? She said no. When did Drs offices decide to ignore science - well a good reason for me to walk out the door. We wear our masks for others. Any office that doesn’t understand that is not getting my business.

I love this office! I was able to get an appointment quickly, every interaction with the people who work here was very friendly and pleasantly efficient. The staff are all highly competent and knowledgeable. Dr. Gudeman is very kind and puts you at ease. The entire practice is clean, attractive and modern. Highly recommend the Salem Invision.

Everyone was very professional, my appointment was at 3:15 and i was taken promptly just after that time. The doctor was thorough and explained everything that was being done. Contacts were ordered same day.

I have always had exceptional service and care from Invision. I so appreciate Dr. Palmer and her professionalism and competence, as well as the other doctors I have seen. I was so surprised during my August, 2021 visit to find that very few of the staff or doctors were wearing masks. Having a maskless person check my eyes, mere inches from my face, in a closet-sized room, in the midst of a surging Delta variant Covid outbreak was extremely unsettling. I asked the technician about why the staff was not masked and she replied Masks are a recommendation not a requirement. It seems to me that health care professionals should follow CDC masking recommendations. She did not put on a mask for me. She did, however, let the others who worked with me know that I preferred that they wear masks. They did so, much to my relief. I was shocked I had to ask. Dr. Palmer was fully masked and I thanked her for wearing a mask for me. I do hope Invision will revisit their policy and require that all staff and patients be masked for the sake of their health, their patients health, and the health of the community they serve.

I’ve passed Invision on West 4th Street in Salem for some time meaning to make an appointment. I couldn’t believe how quickly they got me in. I called on a Thursday and they identified a cancellation on Friday and put me right in. The sign in process was smooth (only 2 forms) and the desk person was wonderfully friendly. I chose the retinal imaging for an extra charge. All the ore-exam Reston was done by one person who was also really nice and very efficient. Friendly conversation made the time go quickly and before I knew it, I was airing for the doctor. I didn’t wait at all before Dr. Mann came in and did a very thorough exam. I left the room with a prescription for new specs and a new go-to optometrist! Spent a bit of time looking at the extensive eyeglass selection in the optician ship then left. Start to finish: 1st appointment in 45 minutes. I’m never going anywhere elsewhere !!

I had my first appointment with them on March 30th 2021 and honestly I am so glad I chose them!The staff is so kind and helpful! The building is so beautiful and well kept/ clean. They have a large collection of glasses to choose from and they clean each pair after you try them on to ensure everyones safety during this pandemic. They let me pick a few pairs on my own and even helped me pick some that would complement my eye color, face shape and size. A huge thank you and lots of gratitude to the staff! Ive been waring glasses since I was a kid - She has got to be the Best Eye Dr Ive seen -- Dr. Palmer introduced herself and explain her role in my eye care! A friend recommended Invision and Dr. Gudeman when I was looking for a new eye doctor after moving and they have been wonderful! They’re one of the only medical offices that have ever asked if I go by a nickname (I do) or my full name and then actually make a note and care enough to use it at future visits. It’s a small thing, but makes it obvious that they’re detail oriented and adds to their welcoming environment. All of their staff has been professional and lovely to work with. I’m very happy to have found them!

My family has been under Dr. Scotts care for over 20 years, first in Christiansburg, than in Salem. We have always received the attention needed in eye exams and in specific individual diagnostic care. The eye glass technicians are always very helpful and patient in frame and lens selection. They stand by and guarantee their work and the frames workmanship. The doctors and staff are truly concerned for each patient and it is evident in how each step is explained while in office and the extra measures taken to insure the highest quality of care and services are provided. I highly recommend Invision.

I went in to get my frames fixed after having bent them quite badly. Jessica helped me and they were repaired within 5 minutes. The facility was sparkling clean and well organized. I was prepared to pay, but they didn’t charge me. Much appreciated!

Most horrible, most unprofessional business Ive ever visited. I requested Seiko lenses and I was told they could provide them. I was told a local lab will make them. After two attempts, both with ragged, poorly polished edges (where the lab performed these functions freehand), I request to use their light source to get a better look at the laser etchings in the lenses. They dont match those per Seikos specifications. After contacting Hoya, the owner of the Seiko brand, I learn that no lab in Virginia is licensed to manufacture Seiko lenses. After confronting Dr. Mann about this (a absolute lie), he loses his temper and berates me for checking up behind them on their promise to provide Seiko lenses and tells me to not tell him how to conduct business. He returns my frames and custom made plano lenses, that were made to a shape I designed, in a broken state. I finally found an honest optician with decades of experience who works with many labs across the country and has the correct CNC equipment to shape and properly polish the lenses edges to exacting standards. In the end, I do more research to find the majority of reviews to be fake as they are supplied by an outside marketing company. You must ask yourself why one optical shop has thousands more reviews on some websites than all others in the area.

Very nice looking setup, super nice ladies at the front desk, and thought the young lady optometrist was funny (she was in her 20s and I’m 40 and she could tell I could take a good joke) and very helpful in my exam. Price was on par with Walmart so that was awesome too. My only con is the price on the rims...they looked like good quality but it was outside my price range. Overall definitely recommend their service and eye exams

I dont reveal that Im a Professor of Physics when I visit any business and when I further engage with and attempt to conduct business with a firm that states that its a professional concern serving the public in a role related to Healthcare and professional services.The optometrist was more than professional. The remaining staff at this location in Salem was anything but professional. Rude and argumentative are terms that are understatements in describing their behavior, while Im at the store and during phone conversations.If I could wear contacts, I would, but, I have chronic Dry Eye Syndrome and use Xiidra. So, Im left with wearing eyeglasses.The optician I worked with had a poor skillset. She didnt even understand simple terminology used in the field of optics.As a note, to begin with, this place exists to push Luxotica brand products. I like no Luxotica frames stocked at this location.I inform the optician that Ill be buying my own frames from a source in Austria. She seems to have no issue with this. I then specify which brand and model of lenses I would like and she confirms that they can have these made. We set a tentative upcoming appointment at a time where Im sure my frames will arrive (cost of the frames = $467). I let her know the exact frames Im buying.Im called later and Im told that since these frames dont meet their standards, they are unable to make and fit lenses for me. This is shocking as these are precision made frames far superior to the mass produced Luxotica made brands.I perform some further investigation and I learn that they have no relationship with any lab that makes the lenses I requested.What a waste of time. If you want to buy only what they stock and sell, great, but if you want a better product and want their assistance in making this happen, look elsewhere.

Wow is really what I must saw about this place. My friend referred me to their office recently due to visual changes. I called and had an appointment within 2 days. The paperwork was simple and available online so I didnt have to do it on arrival to the office. My waiting room time was less the 10minutes before I was quickly saw by my doctor. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and the staff beyond amazing. I truly feel this place does awesome with customer service and satisfaction.

Have an issue with my frames breaking due metal fatigue using the case supplied by the manufacturer. The first occurrence I paid $125 for the replacement, and I addressed this issue with Invision. They did not attempt to find a solution to remedy the issue. My frames broke again and they wanted to charge me again. Im taking my business elsewhere. Five Star prices. One Star service. Invision also will not respond to my email complaining about this issue.

Invision In Salem Virginia has an incredible staff and the Doctors are top notch. I see Dr. Gudeman and he always takes the time to talk about any issues and make me feel like he genuinely cares. He spends time getting to know me and my outside interests. Everytime I have been there, from the first visit I was treated as if they really cared. Not just a number. After the first visit they remember me when I come in,by name. The receptionist is always friendly and easy to talk to. We have had some insurance billing problems and everytime they worked with me to get them resolved. Dr Goodman and the technicians are friendly and professional. I have a problem that requires special attention and Dr Goodman makes sure that Im well taken care of. This is the only place I will go and the only Drs and staff I will trust to take care of me. Thanks to you all!

My family recently switched to Invision from a different Vision office in Roanoke that I will not name. We were very impressed with the kindness and friendliness of the entire staff. The whole building was very clean and a very pleasant atmosphere. There was barely any wait time at all. Dr. Nadolsky was the most pleasant and friendly eye doctor I have ever met. And vision assistant Nikki worked patiently with me for 45 min in a contact lens class until I was comfortable. She was wonderful to have as a teacher! This place is among the best i have been to in the valley. My family has nothing but excellent remarks to say about them. Just a great place!

My insurance coverage was explained fully and I was never pressured to spend outside my policy coverage. I was very pleased and will definitely keep them as my source for eye care.

I see Dr. Gudeman about every three months because he is conscientious about taking care of my eyes and me. The staff is very friendly and prompt; hardly no waiting. The opticians are great at helping select new glasses and offer lots of suggestions and help you get the best deal. Overall great business and wouldnt go anywhere else.

Terrible experience, I would not recommend. I will say the front desk staff was friendly and pleasant. However, the girl who checked my vision was undeniably miserable with her career choice. (Melinda maybe?) Dr. Goodman seemed only interested in selling me more glasses. The optical staff also seemed unhappy and too busy to be bothered with helping me choose the right frame. Very disappointed.

My wife and I have been going here for over a year. We are extremely pleased! We have both had our eyes examined, as well as purchased prescription eye glasses and prescription sunglasses. My wife has ordered contacts through them. I have had to see the doctors a couple extra times for some unique medical conditions. Each time, they were fantastic!The staff is so pleasant and fun. I am in love with this office and it was my first time there! I showed up at my appointment a month ahead of time (not realizing) and just like that they were able to squeeze me right in. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone was very helpful and friendly.

I drove 45 minutes from work to the Salem location to pick up my contact lens order, got there at 10 minutes before 6:00 (closing time), and they were already closed! I could see people so I tried getting someones attention. At 6:00 pm, I sat in the parking lot and watched as one of them went out the side door and got in their car. Im extremely angry right now, because I made checked the website to make absolute certain they would still be open!EDIT: Invision followed through and mailed my order to me. Im pleased they take these complaints seriously.

Doctors were amazing as normal. Front desk staff really needs a lesson on customer service. Really unsatisfied with the first and last person I saw at this office. Staff were making fun and complaining of the phone, in front of me. Also got checked out under wrong patient name. Was never apologized to. Needs improvement or the good reputation of this office will fade quicker than they want.

Invision is the BEST! I was having an eye issue due to allergies. I called Invision at 3:50p to get in for an appointment thinking that it would be the next day, and they got me in at 5:00p on the same day. I was not even there for fifteen minutes and left with a fix for my red, itchy and irritated eye. Dr. Gudeman, as always, was professional, thorough and kind. I highly recommend Invision for all of your eye care needs.

What a wonderful group of people! My very first visit to this office gave me a feeling of being welcome. The friendly staff is made up of competent professionals who care about the patients and use all of the newest technology to determine our needs.Dr. Nadolsky took time to have a conversation and really understand what I need for contacts and/or glasses and what type of lenses.I have had annual optometrist visits for over 15 years.This year I was dreading being rushed through and given a lense prescription that didnt seem quite right to me. I decided to try a new office and had the most excellent experience! The doctor even showed me my vision with the new prescription versus my vision with the old prescription. What a world of difference! Finally, I will be able to see clearly and not struggle with headaches all year hoping that they will get it right next time.

I went to Invision two years ago to get contact lenses and it was the worst experience I have ever had with optometrists. They did not seem to know what they were doing and actually contacted my previous optometrist to get my prior prescription to help them figure out how to correct my vision. I had to go back several times over a two-month period because the lenses did not fit correctly and, ultimately, the contact lenses didnt correct my vision properly. I finally gave up and have just lived with the situation for the past two years. I went to Vistar Eye Center recently and had the most thorough exam that I have ever had in 45 years of wearing contact lenses. I picked up the contact lenses this past week and they are terrific! I can see properly again. I would not recommend Invision to anyone and will never return to their office.
