If I could give this company negative stars I would. If you have a problem with your order, you can’t contact anyone. They don’t respond to emails or voice messages. I finally got in touch today with customer service (graduation is over now) and told them they left my daughter’s tassel out of the order. The rep was like, who cares, it’s a souvenir tassel and you don’t wear that to graduation anyway. Well, in California we wear what we want. After she asked me if I wanted them to send me the tassel or a refund, she basically hung up on me. So rude! This company sucks! Don’t order from here.
Customer support is horrendous. Just a dead end answering machine with no one to help you. Same with email. Do not order from this company. I still have received zero feedback on whether I am getting my cap and gown before graduation which is 1 week away ( I ordered well in advance).
I order my graduation robe here six weeks ago. My ceremony is in three business days. They never sent updates, and now are not responding to emails or phone calls. EDIT: I did get the regalia the next day, just no notifications, so I appreciate the quick shipping and Im upgrading the ranking.
Have not received my cap and gown from over a month ago. Sent emails- no response. (email full)Called - 5 ads on the phone as a telemarketer would then got a message saying this number is not in service.I would give negative rating if I could. Reported to BBB.
Horrible delivery time. I still dont have my cap and gown and graduation is this week.
I needed to order a hood and tam for my family member who recently completed his doctorate at Northeastern University, but he had already purchased the gown somewhere else. Veronica at Oak Hall went above and beyond to help me, and sent several color samples to ensure that the hood from their company would match. She also gave me excellent advice about the design and type of material to use. With such outstanding customer service, its clear why Northeastern recommends Oak Hall for academic regalia!
This is the absolute WORSE place to order regalia. The ONLY reason why I ordered from them is because my school required me to. I ordered my doctoral cap and gown on April 15 and called on May 20 because I had not received my (very expensive) order. The first customer service representative informed me that she was not able to assist me due to my order being a custom order. She transferred me to Customs and no one answered the phone. So, I called back, was transferred again and spoke with Pat. After giving Pat my order number she explained to me that she was not familiar with online orders, and placed me on hold....again. She eventually returned to inform me that my order HAD NOT BEEN SENT, and would PROBABLY be sent by the end of the month. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! UNACCEPTABLE! Perhaps they shouldnt be paid until they ship completed orders. Then she had the nerve to tell me to dont worry...youll have it in time. Perhaps if she had paid for it she would feel my angst. In addition, they OVERCHARGED me, and Pat was not able to explain the reason why, and referred me back to my university. They do not deserve any stars, but I had to click one in order to post. Maybe Melissa Hewitt, Donna Hodges and Joe DeAngelo need to evaluate the operations at Oak Hill Cap and Gown to ensure efficient, effective and quality customer service and make some changes ASAP!!!
I was amazed by the awesome customer service I experienced today at Oak Hall Cap & Gown! At the last minute (on the day of graduation) I needed a cap and tassel. I googled Cap & Gown and luckily found out Oak Hill was located in town, even though they ship nationally. I stopped in to their warehouse with no notice praying I could find any cap and tassel. The girls there were so helpful and professional. I was so grateful. They found a great quality cap and tassel (in my school colors) in less that 5 minutes. Its tough to find customer service like that these days and I will NEVER forget my experience with them. Thats how you do business! As a professor at Virginia Western Community College, I really appreciated that and will gladly tell everyone about this!
Worse place to work!! You get over worked and very underpaid. They buy theCheapest material they can find and charge ridiculous prices for the robes. The management there are the worst Ive ever had to work with and HR is not there for the employees unless you are a man (if you know what i mean!!) If you want a good job definitely dont work there!!
THIS PLACE ISNT TO BAD BUT MY MOTHER USED TO WORK THERE AMD SHE HATES IT BUT SHE LEFT!!!!DONT WORK THERE THEE EFLPOR ARE RUSTY
I ordered a cap and gown more then two weeks ago and still have yet to receive it. Every time I call the person on the phone says “I’m not sure why it’s not been shipped out yet”. Like how many times am I going to hear that answer before they put it in the mail? I can’t take graduation pictures without a cap and gown and I guess they’re not in a rush to meet their deadline.
I just wanted to order Bachelor Tassel..$10.00. The issue is that they charged $16.00 for shipping..WOW..! Put it in a envelope and Ship for $3.00. Everything ordered through this company will cost a minimum of $16.00 to shipped by UPS..WHY?
I ordered an international flag stole, and was sent the wrong flag. When I called them about it, they didnt even apologize because they said both flags are the same colors and this is what they consider the country I ordered!!! I couldnt believe it! You can Google any flag online, and see what order the colors are in. When I pointed that out, the customer service rep just said she isnt going to argue with me (about whether this was the correct flag!). I am so disappointed because not only is this extremely offensive and irresponsible, but now I have no stoles to present at a graduation event tonight. If they had not listed the country as an option, SINCE THEY DO NOT HAVE IT, I would have never made the order and could have gone with another, accurate option. Im never doing business with them again, and I dont recommend them to anyone else.Edit: I also had to call an entire month after returning the stoles in order to receive my refund. They told me they had no record of receiving the stoles, but gave me a refund because it was confirmed through UPS online. Unbelievable.
Some rude individuals on the other end of the phone. Do you best to order online because once you talk with them you will wish you could do business elsewhere. I hate when people act like they are doing me a favor when I am paying for a service. And do not treat me like I graduate every day & should know what information you need. My campus hired you to do a job. Please at least try to do it with a positive attitude. Unacceptable customer service. WGU needs to rethink this partnership.
There has got to be better options for academic regalia.Fortunately, I didnt have to pay for my robe. That is its only saving grace. Its the 100% polyester, so it gets as hot as a kiln when its on an actual person. The color is an amazing shade of Grey Poupon (tm) mustard, not gold, which was what was ordered. The worst part of it, however, is that its falling apart already. This is the fourth time Ive worn it and the zipper needs to be sewn back in place. The hood is starting to come apart. Both garments (the hood and the robe) are starting to fray at the seams. As I said, Ive worn it four times. When Ive worn it, I basically stand, sit, and walk slowly. Its not like Im kickboxing or rock climbing while wearing the stupid thing. I guess you get what you pay for.
My academic regalia is the worst $800 I ever spent. The color is about two shades too bright. I only wore the vestaments a few times before they started falling apart. I have had them for five years, wear them twice a year and have had to have them professionally repaired twice. Absolute garbage.
I was happy with the deal I got on my regalia, and pleased with the quality. Kudos!
Gallipolis Career College has been doing business with Oak Hall for over 15 years. They have excellent products and great customer service!
