Lots and lots of books and other knickknacks, beautiful items, bought some used books but in excellent condition! This is a must store for book lovers!

Nothing like the smell of books to help you reach your happy place. You dont realize how much youve missed bookstores until you walk into Open Book. Helpful, friendly staff and great selection across genres. This is a must visit for book lovers of all ages.

Have always drove past this little bookstore till my daughter said she wanted to have a peek. Very happy and great experience. The employees were super friendly and welcoming. They have every aisle clean and easy to walk though. All the aisles have a floating label hanging from the ceiling depending on what you are looking for. The entrance is beautifully made with an arch made with books. The prices of the books are good as well. Some more than half of what you would purchase it for.Very good experience. They also hold different events on different days. Will definitely be going back to purchase some books.

Friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Lots of books. Be sure to call and make an appt to drop off books. Limit of 20 or 25 books per appt. They are very selective but that makes business sense .

This bookstore is so cute! I absolutely loved the staff. They were very helpful and personable. Everything was well kept, clean and well organized. Easy to find the genre and author of the book you’re looking for. The prices are insanely affordable as most of the books are lightly used. I can not wait to come back!

I adore this bookstore! There are so few small bookstores around anymore! The staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. The books are quality and inexpensive. I always try here first when my high school kids need a book for school. Great classes offered as well. My daughter did a great book binding class.

The Open Book is a great place to find used books at a very reasonable price. I visited 26 July and came home with 4 books - including a copy of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - for less than Id pay for a single new book elsewhere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store has community events like Sunday Story Time (being done via Facebook during this whole COVID mess). On which topic, the store had temperature checks and complimentary gloves for customer safety. Love the store.

Wow. This place is amazing. Has tons of books you cannot find anywhere else. With places like Barnes and noble and amazon you’d think the market is already saturated but this shop has a lot of great books you just can’t find. I’ve made it a little ritual to go once a month and browse the books they have. Definitely a cool place

I always keep coming back to see what gems arrived at this little book store since my last visit. They are constantly doing fun activities for kids that promote reading and learning. I will keep coming back to support this place and hope they stay around for a long time.

My husband and I visited this bookstore for the first time and absolutely loved it! Their selection of new and sued books is amazing. He was interested in religious books/bibles and was able to find a great bible at an incredible price. I’m interested in children’s books and was almost overwhelmed at the selection! It’s certainly not as big as Barnes and Noble’s selection, but it’s much better than your typical second-hand store. And with great prices too!! We liked it so much that I gave my sister a gift card for Christmas.

This is a dream bookstore. One can float into this lovely environment and spend several HOURS here.There are also special, personal reasons why I love The Open Book, and that is because the owner allowed my then-candidate, Jess Phoenix, who was running for Congress, to have talks there whenever she wanted to, and that was the damned nicest thing he could have done for her potential career, especially since she is a scientist, and would have been our FIRST in Congress!But anyway, the people who work here are all super intelligent, marvelously sweet, and absolutely kind-hearted and giving and fun to be around. And man oh man, do they take great care of The Open Book, too! There is so much PRIDE about their getting to work in this shop.I wish there were better ways to get the word out at just how lucky we all are here in Santa Clarita to have such a fantastic place just for US!!!!If youve not yet visited The Open Book, youre denying yourself a rich EXPERIENCE, Im telling you! Go there, and then spread the word!

What a super cute, quaint little book shop right in my neighborhood! Friendly service. Prices better than that big box book store. Decorated to make you want to settle in a corner with a good book! Went in with my granddaughter and the kids corner is adorable with lots of ways to keep kids attention. Plus storytime every Sunday @ 2pm, complete with a craft and snack all free! The perfect place for those of us who love to settle in with an actual book.

I came in here a couple months ago to get a very specific genre of book (detective fantasy) for my mother who needed an enjoyable read after radiation. The woman there was so nice and tried her best to suggest a book for me. My mom ended up loving her book and I went and bought the rest of the collection. Thank you so much!

Fantastic little local bookstore. They offer great classes such as bookbinding. Such reasonable prices; its ok to be a bookaholic here. Wonderful selection for both child and adult books. They even have records and very cute journals.

A wonderful little book store. I almost missed it because of the small size but Im glad I didnt. The inside is charming and the selection is really good, compared to other little book stores. They even have a good selection of CDs and DVDs. I greatly recommend this book store and I will definitely be back again soon!

Wonderful store! Its an experience the moment you walk through the door. The books are organized, neat, and reasonably priced. This isnt your run of the mill used book store.

Story time was super crowed... We couldnt participate because there were too many kids and families and we got there at 2:37 for story time at 2:30. If I would have known I wouldnt have brought my infant and toddler. Its a good concept but there needs more space.

This is as used bookstore that has a pretty good selection and also buys books or gives store credit. But, be advised you may bring in a $10 popular mass market paperback and only get .20 cents credit for it. Theyll give you .20 cents credit but sell it for $5 or $6, so the trade in value is severely undervalued. I recently took 7 books in to trade for credit, all in very good condition, but only received $2 in store credit, not enough to even buy 1 used book. I will return to browse but most likely wont trade any books, because the value they give you in return is very low. It kind of reminds me of used car flippers who buy really good used cars at 50-60% below market value then sell them for market value. The staff here are friendly, and are just following guidelines. Dont bother coming here to trade any books. Try selling on ebay instead.

I was nervous that their books would be over priced, but I got my books at an AMAZING price. Way cheaper than Amazon (which is impressive). I just called them to see if they had the books and within 10 mins I had them on hold. Both books (Anne of Windy Poplars and The 100) were under $5. Very cute place, will come again.

Staff is helpful. I always find something to take home. I spend most of my time in the kids section and have found great choice of chapter books. They have beginning readers and reference/nonfiction books. Also a storytime on Sundays.

This place is awesome we come here all the time especially when they have specials the employees here are super nice and show us what we need the books sometimes had writing in them but it doesn’t stop us from coming here👍🏻

They host many weekly events, like story time for kids and an open mic every third friday of every month where singers, writers, all are welcome. They have many new releases, a beautiful collection of leather bound classic literature, language learning books and notebooks, as well as manga! Their prices are preety good, too.
