First time in an 85°C Bakery Cafe and I definitely enjoyed what I had. It was hard to choose as everything looked great and there was plenty for a vegetarian like me to choose from. I settled on a Spinach and Kale Danish which may have been an odd choice for this decidedly Asian-feel bakery...but it was as good as Id had anywhere else. I took a milk-tea muffin home which I had that evening. The texture of the bread part itself was a tiny bit rubbery for my tastes but the custard filling was a surprise and delicious. The star for me was the Iced Sea Salt Tea. The thick se-salt infused cream at the top fo the drink, mixed with the black oolong tea as absolutely crave-worthy and a drink I will definitely go back to many times.Theres a lot more to try (and I will.) My major complaint is my wife is gluten-free and they have absolutely nothing gluten-free so I wont be able to head there that much without excluding her from getting anything. So bummer there.Otherwise, I really dug what I got.
Oh my coffee. This was our first time going to eat here and I have to say I absolutely loved it. As it was our first time I asked the cashier what type of coffee did be recommend. He recommended the sea salt coffee and we loved it. Has a strong taste but super yummy. Also bought some pastries and they were also good. The employee there was super friendly and helpful. They have tables outside you can sit and enjoy your coffee.
Sometimes they dont have all the ingredients for drinks, but they have a good amount of options.
UP CHARGE WARNING FOR MOCHA LOVERS....I think that most of you that have read my reviews I am pretty fair with my comments. And the fact that I love 85 degrees. This actually has to do with this location, service, training and quality.#1 be prepared to wait outside still. Only 5 people allowed inside at a time at this location.#2 my gripe.. Ive ordered their ice mocha for years with whipping cream (included with drink) and if the cashier asks me if I want it with whipping cream and you plan on charging me then you should tell me. Which of course this is where my ranting comes in. I get that whipping cream is a .50 cent add on but if that is how the drink is described on the menu then it is assumed included, right? So of course now Im being charged. With that said I asked for a refund. Which was kindly done. Yet after waiting outside for 15 min to get my beverage I became more frustrated with this. So I had to say something to the young man that delivers the drinks (outside). I explained to him the menu and showed him a picture from the 85 degrees menu and waited for my drink. Which he said they would correct (which they did)#3 quality of my drink and training. The same young man that came out to deliver my drink. Apologized about the confusion and explained that the cashier was told that whipping cream is an add on. Which I get. So Im over the whipping cream issue. Now Im waiting for my drink. And here we go again with disappointment, heres my drink (see photo) about a 1/2 inch below the full mark and very dark in color. I havent even tried a sip yet but I know based on this, its not going to taste like an ice mocha. Has more of a chocolate color. Ive had enough of these to already know. Just tried it now. Im even more bummed about the taste, nope not mocha.. cant afford to wait again for a remake of my drink (which goes to my training issue) for the cost of a drink which is a guilty pleasure, Im a truly disappointed today.Im not a one time customer at the Valencia location but Im finally done purchasing here. I love 85 degrees, this wont stop me from other locations. My faves are Northridge and Arcadia.
So freaking good for the price and items. I always get a Choco bun or blueberry muffin with a Milk Tea. Love it every time. I hope this bakery never goes away!
The app is a waste of time and unreliable. Very limited on pastry options. Unorganized . Short staffed and snail pace line. Pastries always burned and tough at the Valencia location. Who eats here?! So many other options for better service and quality. I would not suggest.
I got the honey sponge cake here. And let me just tell you, it was delicious! And I mean....DELICIOUS. Other than the food, the service was satisfactory and really don’t have any complaints. It is what I expected. I would have given a 3 star but that honey cake was beyond delicious.
This place is great its my new go to bakery, I used to buy the in store bakery items. Never again thanks for the great pastries.
I first found 85 degrees when I lived in Torrance. Probably one of the best chain bakeries Ive ever experienced in my life. The baked items are always fresh always tasty and consistently good no matter which store you go to. The one up here in Valencia is no different while the selection isnt as big the staff is always friendly The food is always fresh and its always good. This is your place to get baked goods If you do go definitely try the cheese tart its out of control good
This place was incredible! I’ve never eaten Taiwanese bakery food, but I was so impressed. Their brioche was out of this world, easily the best I’ve ever had in my life! So airy, soft, amazing flavor, and delicate. There was quite the crowd there which told us that it is really a place to try and boy are we glad we did!!
Small shop but with a GREAT selection! Pastries taste very fresh & are always very satisfying. Drinks are always made perfectly. Staff is quick, efficient & very friendly!
Yummmmmm.... A mini Portos in Valencia! Delicious 😋
I love this bakery all because their bread and pastries are really good but recently I am having issue with them for charging me extra for additional item or I would not be charge of the correct price. So I asked and tell them that I ordered only 2 but charged for 3 or this item just showed this price for 2 and charged me more. They are nice to apologized and expected it will be fixed as promised but checking on my account today if I get my refund of the difference it shows that I was charged again 3.60??? So where is my refund? This is the second time. So disappointed with your staff, they had to be trained to be careful cause it looks like I am being robbed twice this month.
The pastries selection was limited & some werent as fresh as I would like but, I did get to try a few I have never tried before. Staff was friendly! It was unfortunate that there was only outdoor seating, but in the city of Valencia the weather at night was good to sit outside, but, I dont see how that would be a enjoyable experience during warmer times of day.
Covid rules are tedious but these guys are hanging in there. The line outside was long, the staff harried. I finally got in to see that there were no trays for precious baked buns, so proceeded to try to stuff as many buns into my arms. Employee Robert saw my struggles and was sweet enough to rush over with trays for me and the other ladies trying to grab buns. He was thoughtful and they even got my Vietnamese coffee out to me within a minute of waiting. I was impressed. Will update with bun rvw later...
Come to 85 if you want some really unique and delicious breads, rolls, and sweets. It can get very busy at peak hours, though, so plan your trip accordingly.
There is a skinny gentleman at the cash register with the greatest attitude towards his customers... very polite and makes sure that you are fully satisfied with the 85 experience. Great team training whoever is the manager... perhaps he is. As always I look for place experience and quality of food whereverI go to eat. Tip: order the hot tea once in a while, you won’t regret it... very aromatic.
I love everything here though I order boba milk most of the timeThe cakes and pastries are consistent and delicious
Im giving this score, because every single time I come to have a coffee and pastries all the tables outside the store are DISGUSTING!!! Dirty and not clean at all and when I asked they said (we don’t clean tables ) so why your put it outside if you guys are not going to take care of them ? That’s not nice for a type of store like this!
Great service... good food
Small shop, but theyre following the Covid guidelines to a T. Great work keeping customers and themselves as safe as can be. As stated, small shop but so many goodies to choose from, that one can go crazy just taking a few. Having a friendly and patient staff goes a long way with me and they made my family feel comfortable, albeit we were in there for less than 10 minutes. Thank you 85°C
I love this place ... I try a new item every time ... dont disappoint yet. Employees are awesome !!!!
Great as usual. Of course I went around 3ish when they were very stocked up on the usuals! The time of day makes a big difference! Not sure of the best times but its the worst when they havent restocked and its slim pickings between the stuff everyone else clearly didnt want :[
I love this place, unlike their Pasadena and Glendale branches, this one in Valencia has plentiful of parking spaces. I also noticed they have a good covid 19 protocol in place.
So many tasty treats. I highly recommend cheese tarts
Tons of food and drinks to choose from, I personally love their garlic bacon bread and their white bread along with with their peach iced tea.
Super Shocked! Were not from town and it was a super last minute coffee run before driving hours away. I got an Americano with Pumpkin Spice Syrup (no cream) and the coffee was actually good! Not bitter and not too sweet because of the syrup. Would return if ever in that town again! Also the Double Cheesecake was good too (;
Good service. Fast and reliable
This place is nice, the staff was very helpful, they offered us a free chocolate piece that say Happy Birthday since we got a mango cake, which was very delicious too. They didnt have my favorite milk tea bun though, I havent been able to find those at any locations I went to recently, I hope theyll bring them back soon.
Uniquely delectable!I tried the salted jasmine green tea (stir it WELL and enjoy the amazingness) and coffee crème brûlée (strong coffee flavor but SO good) I also tasted the taro latte (absolute PERFECTION, strong taro creme flavor) and apple danish (light airy custardy goodness)... basically a great place that will leave you wanting to return to try everything else!I love that you can order any drink half sweet but I recommend you try the standard preparation first for full gratification.
Very clean. Fast, good quality and variety. Just avoid the end of the day. Sometimes they ran out what you want.
Everything is delicious here and customer service is amazing. Really sweet people working here.
Good prices but sometimes they don’t have things tasty though
Awesome that this location is in Santa Clarita! Sometimes there is a line out the door. I would try that bacon bread!
Good staff good food good service
Im in love with everything at 85C except for closing time. If you state youclose at 9pm, dont pout things away at 8pm. We were thete at 8:15, drove 40 minutes to get there and the lady was pulling trays out from infront of our hands. several people complained about the same thing. There was only 4 trays out and she Said sorry, everything put away. Bad customer service 9 means 9.
Oh my god! If you have not been here yet, YOU HAVE TO GO! This place is SO SO good! Fresh bakery with stuff i have never heard of before and it is all so SO fantastic! Melts in your mouth and, my words cant do it justice. You really must go and try it for yourself. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Always amazing boba and desserts
I keep on coming back to this bakery be it in the San Diego or Los Angeles or San Jose area as it has the best baked goods from Moon Pie to the different kinds of breads and pastries. I am addicted to the bread as they are so deliciously prepared. The price is also not bad. Try them all and look for your favorite. I guarantee that if youre into breads or pastries, you will also love this Bakery/Coffee Shop.
Fresh bread and friendly staff.
Nice organized little bakery, I like their cinnamon twist !
Great bakery, sadly nothing vegan.Maybe they will consider a few items, or at least but milks for lattes.Everything looked and smelled amazing, though!!!
Their brioche bread melts in your mouth!
It was ok not much of a selection the pastries did not look good nothing got my attention. I had a ham croissant and it was super greasy not going back. Portos is way better
The bakery is amazing but their drink selection is only okay. They mostly have smoothies and coffee. Although they don’t have many drinks they make them very well and very quickly. They also have an option to add boba to your drink so it makes coming to this bakery a one stop shop.
I love 85 Degrees. The three star rating is not for the food, but for the store as compared to other 85 Degrees stores in Los Angeles. This store is small. The quantity of their bread is so low that I can never get everything I want. There is always one favorite that is sold out or just in the oven. Ive been here over 10 times since they opened and this has always been the case.Staff are nice and friendly.
Great place and service .must try everything
Robert took my special order drink and made it himself. I give him 5 thumbs up. Got it right the first time and very friendly polite and nice. 💯 % customer service skills. Other 85c never get it right and they even argue with me.
Great pastries. Metered entry (5 customers inside at any given time).
Great food very tasty bread
I really liked the cleanliness and efficacy of this bakery. The treats were all good. I was very unsure of what I was buying. A description of what was in the treats would have been nice.
I like it here, great food & service. Nothing but great experiences here. The place has a great feel to it.
Love the coffee here.
Always friendly at this location. Even during the Covid times!
Found this gem while grabbing lunch on the go and I walked into heaven! The pastries and desserts are delicious. Various coffees and drinks to choose from. The bakery takes orders and prices are more than affordable! I’m in love 😘❤️
Service and selections are great. My only issue is the size of the location. There is no place to sit inside and when there are more than 3 people getting their pastries they are usually bumping into each other. The pastries and drinks are delicious though.
If you are looking for great delicious pastries 85 degrees is definitely a place you should try! Love this place!!!!! It is a great addition to our growing economy.
Great bakery
Great bakery and excellent service
I’ve been a loyal customer here for a long time but was so disappointed recently. I bought a few pieces of cake and when I got home and sat down to enjoy it with coffee, I discovered a rotten raspberry on top of the mango cake. Totally lost my appetite.
Great food and service! Will come again.
Love this bakery. About time, we have this kind of bakery in Santa Clarita
I wish they had menu or something that show what is what. I dont live close so I always get a box full of variety things and can never remember what is what later when I want to eat them. But they are all fantastic none the less
You need to know wht to get. Of course not everything is good. The cakes r good if they r fresh. Taro puff pastry, anything chocolate (but the cream cheese), egg tart, spinach n kale pastry r good.
Amazing pastries.
Unique and delicious pastries. I love their strawberry-banana shake!
Entered near nine, it wasnt busy. Fast and courteous service. It has a good interior.
Everything was delicious and fresh. The day I stopped there were plenty of items to choose from. I purchased a variety to take to a brunch and everyone was raving. Not sure what all of the negativity is about. Packaged nicely to go. It is a bit small, very European. Wouldnt stop me from returning.
Love love 💘 this place
Pasadena and Irvine location is a lot better. The berrytail always seems to come out a bit burnt. The strawberry jelly and sea salt coffee are great though. At least its not too crazy busy so its a quick in and out.
Very disappointed. Each time I came, the displays look empty and there werent enough pastries. The 85 degree bakery in Pasadena has way more selections and has better costumer service. This is one of my favorite Bakery but the Valencia location is just not the same as the others.
Great food but sometimes they are out of new things to try!
Come early morning or fall in line
This particular 85 degrees is smaller than the one in Northridge but still houses the staple pastries with the same quality and consistency. I ran into this particular location by accident and I continue to be surprised by this bakerys charm.
Get the SEA SALT COFFEE! Might be the best thing Ive had in my life. Pastries were good too but like others have pointed out, display were mostly empty.
A grab what you can before its your turn to pay of delicious, upscale pastries. Was not expecting this when I came in. Wish there were more of these near me. Too bougee to be in my town, but a nice treat while out N about.
I’m very disappointed with this bakery. Don’t get me wrong, their baked goods are delicious! My problem is that if they’re going to open at 7am or 8am, their shelves should be stocked. I walked in this morning right at 8am and they had, maybe half a dozen baked goods out. This is the 4th time I’ve been in this bakery when they’ve been completely out of one of their most popular items(Egg Tart). I don’t get it. I don’t think they’ll survive if they continue this way.
Nice place, delicious food, good prices, excellent customer service! Highly recommend for all of you to try them!👏🙏💝
What a GREAT find. A friend of mine told me about this place. I am in love with their bakery. I grew up on alot of this style bakery. ( I am half Filipino) Brings me back to when we visited the Phillipines as well. AND I was told they have the best coffee.... its pretty good 😁 YOU HAVE TO TRY IT
