It’s been opened for 14 years so far and I’ve had only good experience every time because their desserts are excellent and employees are so nice and polite, incredible service ! ☺️☀️ great prices. Love their Key Lime pie, cup cakes 🧁. There are also vegan options. They know what they are doing. 😇

We had such a great experience with Vanilla Bake Shop. My in-laws wanted a cake that was similar to their wedding cake for their 50th anniversary. Mia was very helpful on the phone, helping us figure out the best way to get this cake made, given that our photos were very grainy. We were able to find a picture online of a cake we wanted the bakery to make, and they did a beautiful job reproducing it! We picked up the cake today, and Mia packaged it very nicely for us. We got to enjoy the cake this evening, and everyone couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was. Thanks for helping make the occasion so special!

We visit the Vanilla Bake Shop every year in November when we drive down from San Francisco for our annual karate seminar in Santa Monica. When we bring other students, we also bring them, they LOVE every little dessert.

Helpful, friendly service. We ordered a variety of delicious wedding cake samples for pickup on a Saturday morning. They were running a bit behind and asked for a few extra minutes to put them together.The selection of other baked goods looked amazing, and I got an Everything Cookie (which was delicious) and a drip coffee, which was well balanced and given to me for free as an apology for asking me to wait.The products are tasty. The service was friendly. The prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back!

We had a variety of three copcakes. They were reasonably good. Frosting was light and fluffy on all three - not rich or creamy. Cakes were fresh. At $3.95 each, they seemed on the small side and werent spectacular in any way. The shop itself is small with attentive staff.

Omg amazing chocolate chip cookie. Possibly the best I have ever had. I love sweets. I had to control myself and not get a piece of cake. The cookie was to die for. I live this place.

I love their cake, which is so delicious. I ordered a cake for my daughters first birthday. They gave us a free taste of the cake and the fillings when we visited the shop to book our order. It helped us to decide what the filling for our cake would be. The workers were very welcoming. A 5-star!

If you like macarons and mini cups, you must try the Vanilla Bake Shop. I love their macarons. They have the best flavors and their selection is well-priced. There is metered parking in front of the store or you can park about two blocks away in the city structure on Wilshire at Fourth Street.

The cupcakes are delicious and fresh. They have different menu everyday! Negin helped us out with choosing the cupcakes. She was super helpful and friendly. Will definitely recommend!

Big selection of cupcakes and baby cupcakes. Great for parties and gifting.I ordered 3 dozen (36) baby cupcakes and a cupcake tower for a small wedding reception and it was perfect!!! The stuffed cupcakes were extra delicious, and I’m surprised that they even had them available for the baby size. My favorites were the Meyer lemon stuffed vanilla cake and raspberry, Fleur de Sel and chocolate, marshmallow s’mores.I recommend ordering in advance if you can.

I dont eat that many sweets but I did try the pecan bar and they lemon bar and it was excellent but most important of people who work here have a kind heart I was homeless for a while and I stayed behind the shop and they treated treated me very kind I should be moving on sometime today or tomorrow but thank you vanilla and I must not forget the owner she always treated me with dignity and never called the police on me I am a 61 year old man who went through some financial problems Thanks!!

Beautiful little bake shop. Staff were welcoming and made themselves available without being too pushy. I got the lemon tart as a snack, and damn, it was a very good lemon tart!

Still the greatest bakery on the West Coast. This is a cant miss bakery. Cakes are phenomenal and banana pudding is spectacular. Love the staff too. The ambiance is also very cool.

Make a stop if you are near this bake shop. Awesome cupcakes. Fresh and tasty. Also you can find any cake for event or just for yourself. Every time clean, nice and friendly.

I dont know what Los Angeles is thinking. Cupcakes are average. Mostly dry and almost stale. The only good thing to get here is the banana pudding, which I do admit is delicious.

Great customer service and I went in there because I heard they had Gluten free red velvet cupcakes on Fridays! They had cute St Patricks Day decorations on them and I got three mini cupcakes! Super good cupcakes, very rich. I wish theyd have more flavors or flavors not just on Friday! The macaroons are also Gluten free so maybe Ill have to give them a try next time!

Delicious cupcakes with great ambience and staff. I love getting their cupcake babies as a snack for my team at work.I highly recommend getting a mix and trying them all (just ignore the calories :P). Make sure to try any cupcakes that have a filling in them...they are amazing.The only thing I am glad of: I no longer live around the corner, which means I dont get tempted nearly as much by addictive nomz.

I started going to Vanilla Bake Shop after I eat 9 minis at a wedding in January 2008 - they were too good to not eat :)I continued to taste cupcakes from various spots in LA, but nothing compared to Vanilla Bake Shop - the taste, texture, light sweetness, flavor - always perfect!I ordered about 5 dozen for my wifes 30th birthday and created a beautiful cupcake display - everyone loved the display and the cupcakes!I am now in Northern California and have a tough time finding a place that compares.When I was visiting family in LA in 2012, my wife and I took a quick mini date and the first thing we did was head here :)

PRO: The new girl in the front is sweet, attentive and comforting. She was extremely helpful with my order which is why Im giving them 3 stars instead of 1.CON: they do cupcake orders based on which flavor they have that day. (EX: If you want to order cookies and creme cupcakes for a Wednesday, you wouldnt be able to because cookies and creme cupcakes are done on Friday, even if you pay.) It was a hassle to order with them. I would order a cupcake a certain way and they would call me saying they couldnt do it the way I wanted to. Like Im paying...The cupcakes are etremely dry and the manager was VERY moody.

Cheap prices during happy hour. High quality. My favorite was the blackberry one.
