Quite surprised of the good review here. My experience says otherwise.1. Purchased the bike online (yes they have bikes) but never received any courtesy calls or tell me when the bike will be ready. I had to call myself asking for status.2. After I picked up the bike, dropped it off to another shop to install handlebar. They showed me the stem expander plug screw was stripped and expander plug was not even tight. Rear derauiller b-screw were off so the other bike shop had to adjust it.3. Rear rotor disc was over tighten not to spec. Stripped the disc rotor teeth. Now I have to buy a new rotor and locking rings.

Owen helped me out today with a few purchases and the shop crew slapped it together in no time. I’ve been coming to this shop forever and will continue with this kind of service. Glad Andrew keeps quality and knowledgeable workers that care about your bikes as much as I do around.

I bought specialized status here and had it break within one week of riding. After paying specialized for the crash replacement, i had the shop put together my new bike. When I went to go pick it up, my brakes were not bled, and the shock installed had no spacers in it even though i specifically asked them to put in 4 spacers. When I asked the shop tech if he bled my brakes they told me to come back in a hour even though they said the bike would be ready. They charged me 300$ for assembling my bike and forgot to put the dust cap on for my cranks. After calling them about it multiple times, I have gotten no response. This shop takes customers for granted and exploits them. I would highly advise not going here and driving down to ABS instead. At least there you get what you pay for.

These guys are amazing! The repair shop is full of guys who know what they are doing, are super friendly, down to earth, efficient and frankly, they bent over backwards for me. Thanks to Robin and Ryan in the service department for all you have done for me. You are still my favorite bike shop 🚲.

I highly recommend this shop! We rented e-bikes for 2 days and a SC Hightower LT for a week. Bikes were all in great shape and worked flawlessly. Very helpful sales staff and mechanics are top notch. If youre looking to rent or get a bike repaired dont waste your time looking for a better shop. They even stayed after hours today when we screwed up on closing time. Thanks again folks! Andrew and his team at Cycle Sport are phenomenal. I was on the hunt for the new S-Works Tarmac SL7 56cm, Cycle Sport surprisingly had this in stock. I submitted an online request to verify stock and Andrew promptly replied and verified it was in fact in stock on a Sunday night!!!I purchased the SL7 that night with a few accessories, Cycle Sport was able to deliver to deliver the very next day from Scotts Valley to Livermore the next day! All of this while Scotts Valley area was under evacuation due to the unfortunate fires from the recent lightning storms.Cycle Sports bike guru Carl took his time and setup the SL7 and did the initial fit.Thanks to everyone at Cycle Sport!

Outstanding and impressive. There are not many bike shops that can order a brand new Fox fork on a Monday and get it that Wednesday. Scotts Valley Cycle Sport did. They told me by the end of the week so maybe its not always so fast. Ive worked in two bike shops and I do almost all my own bike work but I needed to visit this shop to get a Fox fork ASAP. Beside the fork, I was genuinely impressed by the wide array of equipment and bikes to check out. I was in and out pretty quick but enjoyed looking over the Light & Motion lights and tool selection while in line. Someone or some team definitely put effort and care into organizing this shop. Very friendly professional staff. They let me try a couple bikes, explained to be the different features, helped me find what suited me best. I found a bike that I liked and I never felt pressured to buy like a used car salesman would do. They genuinely cared about me finding a good bike. When I said Ill think about it, the employees gave me a card with the model and encouraged me to do whatever research Id like to do and come back when Im ready. Really awesome experience.

Absolutely an amazing shop. I have visited a lot of other bike shops in Santa Cruz, and many are very, very good. But when I visited Scotts Valley Cycling they were OUTSTANDING and head and shoulders above any bike shop I have worked with and even purchased bikes from. Even though I live in South County, Santa Cruz, I drive all the way there because Andrew and his staff are just plain superb. Even when busy, they gave me their full attention. When I tested an electric bike, Andrew had a staff member go with me who explained how to use it and took me up some very steep hills. Then he swapped bikes with me so I could try the next size up to make sure I knew what fit. I cant say enough about this shop and its staff.

Easily the greatest bike shop in Santa Cruz county. Andrew and Brittany are super helpful and knowledgeable. They pretty much know EVERYTHING about bikes, which is exactly what you want in a bike shop. I’ve been competitively racing road and mountain bikes since 2008 and there’s nobody I trust more with my bikes than this crew over there.

I went to Scotts Valley Cycle Sport to change a tubeless tire. The bike was only a couple months old but I ran over a nail. I bought the tire and the charged for install plus tire, tape and sealant. They told me it would be ready in 20 minutes. I came back in 30 and they said it was going to take a couple more hours. Came back again, picked up tire and it was flat as soon as I got home. Brought it back the next day and they said that I needed to ride it so the sealant would distribute. I tried that and rode if for about 25 miles - no problem - but it was flat again the next day. Brought it back in. THey said Tape wasnt done right, so they cleaned it up, filled it up. Seemed to be ok so I brought it back home. Rode it for 5 miles and then it went flat again. Brougt it back it in and they said the tape job wasnt done right. I didnt have patience to go throught the cycle again (at that point it was my 5th trip there for this tire!) so I asked for a full refund. I gave them 2 stars because they agreed to a refund.

Made an appointment for some service because my (more) local shop couldnt see me for two weeks. When I realized I wasnt going to be able to drop the bike off before closing due traffic form the valley, I called the shop to let them know and the owner, Andrew, picked up and volunteered to stick around until I could get there. The work was done the next day. Ive always had great service from SVCS, but this is how you distinguish the great from the good.

Possibly one of the most impressive customer service experiences that I have ever had! Ive owner a LOT of personal and commercial equipment over the years. Which means I have had to deal with many different service departments from NY to CA. I have to say that my recent visit to Cycle sport was amazing. I took my Santa Cruz 5010 in for a new shock install, derailer adjust, and front fork rebuild. Ryan (the 16 year+ experienced service mgr) recommended the perfect fit for me and my riding style. Within two days, the parts were ordered, installed and I was back on the trail smashin my new suspension to the max! Amazing store and employees. I wanted to share my awesome experience with the team at Scotts Valley Cycle Sport. I recently purchased my first E-Bike from them (Specialized Turbo Levo) and couldnt be more pleased with the level of service they provided. Andrew took his time to find me the right gear (jersey, shorts, shoes, helmet, pedals, bike rack) while being mindful of my budget. He had his guys set up my suspension for my weight and riding style. His wife Brittany took her time to show me the ins and outs of how to use clipped in pedals as I am a brand new rider and new to all of this. She also helped me download my Mission Control app and showed me how to tune my bike based on how I was intending to ride. I came into their shop with minimal knowledge and mountain biking experience and left feeling confident and ready to ride! Everything a bike shop should be -super enthusiastic, fun, friendly and smart employees and expert mechanics. They go out of their way to help you and more, sometimes to the point you actually start to feel guilty about how much service they provide to you. Definitely the best bike shop in SCZ county. Went in there for my first time since they had their old shop a center or so away. This outstanding bike store caught our eye on the way to our favorite hiking trail at Henry Cowell. Neither my fiance nor I are electric bike experts so we didnt know where to begin. We were helped by a tall young gentleman who explained the nitty-gritty of ebikes.

Recently bought a base model 2019 Turbo Levo from here with some upgrades, I worked with Andrew. He was able to order in my requested suspension upgrades very quickly with good communication throughout the transaction. He was very knowledgeable about the Levo and its technology and was able to help me pick out the model that made the most sense for me and likely a better package then if I had bought an off the shelf version from Specialized.

Danielle “Director of Fun” helped us find great trails and was very knowledgeable about women’s specific mtn bikes. She is an asset to the mtn biking community! Highly recommend you go talk with her before your next purchase.

I ordered a brake for my bike. That was in fifth grade. IT’S BEEN SIX YEARS and I never got the call saying it arrived.
