Travled 45min to this location based on reviews and turned out to be a nightmare. In the attempt to finance a Honda Pilot Touring, my credit was sensesly ran just to be told I need $6,000 cash, with a %12interest rate and +$600 monthly payment. I was brushed off and not given any other options regarding purchasing other vehicles. They werent even trying to sell me a vehicle. The manager and sales man became extremely rude as they walked away to attend their kind. My experience led me to check out Carvana.com and happy to note, I purchased my Honda pilot Touring with $400 down, %7.16 rate and a $435 monthly payment.. Great car buying experience! I have bought all my cars from here for the last 16 years. Well, all two of my cars at least. They are Hondas and the vehicles last a long time if you take care of them. Tom was great. No high pressure sales and I got a great deal. I love my new car! The showroom is immaculate and so is the service department. However, the environment of the dealership did not seem too friendly, rather it felt stressed. Certainly was not impressed with the strawberry blonde whose office reeked of cigarettes.

Out of town buyers beware! We made an appointment to see a vehicle. Lori, the appointment setter called and told us we would be meeting with the manager Dave Conway. I spoke with him the day before to go over finance options etc. We received a flurry of emails from Lori and she even sent us a confirmation of our appointment that morning which I promptly returned with our ETA. We arrived at the dealer and saw the detailed vehicle ready to show. We came to find out that the detailed vehicle that we drove two hours to buy was just sold. In my many years of buying cars, I have never felt more frustrated. If this is their practice, then they should have told us up front that you will need to give us a deposit to test drive the car. What is the point of Lori’s job when they are not honoring set appointments? Here is a novel idea, maybe you could have called the customer and said “Are you still coming, we have someone here who wants to buy the car I did not receive that courtesy. Instead, I was offered another vehicle that was supposed to be Honda certified that had scratches and scraps and was not detailed ready to be shown. My wife and I reflected on our terrible experience at this dealership. When we first walked in we did not get a first good impression. We agreed that we were better served buying elsewhere.

I purchased two brand new vehicles at the beginning of this month. I talk to my salesman about getting window visors and all winter formats. I made the appointment the salesman called me a week before and gave me the price for everything. I went down on my appointment date and they charge me full price. I was told I was going to get a discount because I just purchase two vehicles . I did not get any discount and did not receive my formats I did Get my window visors on and they did a good job on that.

On a recent trip my new Honda CRV experienced mechanical issues, we had to divert to the nearest Honda Dealer (Matt Burne Honda) for diagnose and repairs. Also took 5 months to process a refund to me which is a ridiculous period of time even the warranty company could not connect with anyone at matt burne to get a straight answer. Very happy with the service. I got my inspection, and the workers in the service department were so kind, they referred me to my name while speaking to me. They were full of laughter and smiles.. During the inspection they notice a nail was in my tire and advised they had to put on a brand new tire. I was panicking to myself because I didnt have the money. When I went to the desk to pay, the worker said, we replaced the tire for you and its on the house. Happy thanksgiving. That made my entire day and month! Thanks you Matt Burne Honda for always being so kind.

Honestly, didn’t love getting my car services here. For three reasons:1. They were impatient with another customer. An older man did not understand why they were recommending an oil change on his car even though the oil life display was fine. I know that’s just tracking how many miles the car has been driven since last reset, but time is also a factor that isn’t incorporated. The service guy walked away grumbling he wasn’t going to argue with the older man but they made no attempt at even explaining that.2. They were dismissive of me when I asked about the tire pressure sensor. They didn’t fill my tires correctly after rotating them, they didn’t replace all the valve caps, and they didn’t cross any tires from each side. Seems lazy not to do that on non-directional tires. And when I explained that all my tires were overfilled they chalked it up to compensating for cold air. I understand that it makes sense to fill it up a little extra on a particularly cold day in order to avoid adding air the second the weather warms up, however, all four tires were set around 36 PSI. That’s fine for the front, which should be at 32 PSI, but the rear are supposed to be at 27 PSI, and that’s way over for them. I will not get better gas mileage, I will get uneven wear at the middle of the tread. At the end of the day I just don’t think they bothered to check to see that the rear should be lower or they forgot and made excuses. Just lazy work.3. Third was the employees masks. It’s been almost a year. The front desk dude is still wearing a handkerchief he can’t seem to keep above his nose? Sorry but the two feet of plexiglass attached to your desk doesn’t do squat to keep your gross breath out of the air your customers will be breathing in. The manager thanked me for bringing it up but, again, I’m sure this isn’t the first day all your employees started pulling their masks down to talk on the phone. I don’t know if that’s been fixed because I’m not going back.My household has collectively purchased no fewer than five new or used Hondas from this dealer and its frustrating, to say the least, to see that kind of disregard for customers after so many years of customer loyalty.

I brought my Passport in to get a trailer hitch installed. Excellent job by the service team at Matt Burne Honda. Very pleased with the installation and quick turnaround.Brought my wifes CR-V in for recall service to replace fuel pump. Once again the service team was fantastic. Work completed in just a few hours. My only complaint was this time I was unable to get a decent working internet connection in order to connect to work. Ive had no problem in the past with their wireless so not sure what the problem was this time. Not the end of the world but created some head aches for me at work.

Bought my wife’s civic here back in 2013. Really was a great experience and a great car over the years. They helped us get out from under a loan we had on a piece of junk jeep at the time. We went back last year looking at Pilot’s, particularly used ones that were lease turn in’s. We were disappointed to find out that a salesman had a particular pilot we wanted to look at at his house because apparently they drive the used cars around whenever they want to. He was off the day we came down. We would’ve had to schedule a time to come back to make sure the car was there and ready to be viewed.That was a “WTF” moment for us. I have to schedule a time to look a car YOUR selling? Screwy operation there.Not sure I’ll be back, at least for a used vehicle.

I had a wonderful experience buying a new car from Matt Burne Honda in Scranton. There was never any pressure, delays, or smarmy sales tactics. And if you are in the market for a new or pre-owned car, you may want to check them out because Honda is offering some very attractive financing right now.Id contacted SEVERAL other dealerships before contacting Matt Burne Honda and they all played games with me. But Lori at Matt Burne sent me their no haggle internet price, which was under dealer invoice, and $1k less than a dealership in Wilkes Barre offered. I also reviewed the surcharges that are added to the final billing and they did not try to slip anything in, like one dealership tried to do to me. Matt Burne did not even add a destination charge (a common chump charge to watch out for).We did everything online and over the phone. It was super easy and pleasant. Rick my sales manager even had the car delivered to my home at no additional cost. They also offered a discount on any accessories as well as discounted extended warranty if I wanted to add those. Kevin the finance manager was very helpful, too. It was a pleasure doing business with Matt Burne Honda and I give them my highest recommendation! Oh, and I love my new car.
