I will give them this, which is generous. Apparently it is your job to follow up with this location to get the status update of your order. Then when you do, they tell you that after they made the glasses and sent them to the insurance company, they were rejected and had to be sent back, making the date from appointment to receipt of your glasses a month. No one called to inform me. If I had not called, I would not have know. Zero customer service and mind you I still have to pay $$$ to get the glasses. A month later. My advice. Try another location.
Exam was fine but frame selection is very limited. None that fit me, in fact.
This place is amazing for kids and baby glasses and lenses. Both of my kids have VERY strong prescriptions (were talking one +6.5 and the other +8.5) and the lenses are always cut perfectly even though theyre thick. The owners also helped me out when it came to affording a second set of lenses last year when my insurance only covered one (my 9month old threw his off the metro platform from his stroller). My eye doctor even commented on the quality of the work. Great place, go on a weekday so you can meet with the owners.
The staff is LOVELY and helpful; they are honest about which glass frames work on my face and which do not. Overall, I am very pleased with this office and the care and customer service they provide. My only complaint...the sample eyeglass frames are often dirty and smudged. As a customer trying them on, it would be nice if they were cleaner, please...thank you!
Exceptional service and so willing to help. They repaired my glasses expertly. they have a broad and interesting selection of high quality frames. The owners really care and know their stuff. Highly recommended!
My wife and I had a great experience buying eye glasses here. The owner and staff were super helpful in the process of select frames. The doctor was on-time, funny, and professional. The technician was good as well.
I am giving this place a 4 star. My experience was stellar. The owners were extremely attentive and the customer service was exceptional. I was referred to this place by a dear friend of mine who happened to be sporting fabulous glasses. I knew from the moment I walked in that this place was for me. If youre looking for edgy fresh looks that nobody else will have, this is the place for you. The only downside is that for some of their avant garde spec frames, you might have to wait...they are shipping them to you from half way across the world! But, I am not sure thats entirely a bad thing. While the wait time was long to get my frames, I was so happy with the finished product. The eye doctor was very efficient and super sweet. Personally, I am super happy to support this business and while I now live in NC, I will be coming back to purchase my frames again when the time comes for a new super cool look! Thanks again yall!
When I went in a older women who worked there was way too aggressive. She interrupted another employee who was helping us HE was a very nice young man. She demanded our insurance card when we asked an estimate on price. Almost snapping her fingers as I got it out. She was rude and loud. Not the way you treat a prospective customer. I walked out and Ill never go back. I guess everyone has their own experience. But I would not recommend going here. The older women and who Im guessing was the doctor employee loudly argued in the background as I was looking around. Who does that? How unprofessional and awkward. I have let both my community list serves of my personal experience at this store. They will go out of business soon enough :). If you need anymore proof not to go here, look how they argue with the negative reviews on here. You dont treat people that way.
I am from Philadelphia but was visiting my family in Silver Spring to welcome my new grandson when my 20 month old grandson hit my glasses which fell to the floor and broke. I went to iGlasses for an emergency repair. They were very friendly and helpful. I decided to get an extra pair of glasses while I was there. Cesar was particularly helpful in guiding me in my selection of new frames. The owner is very knowledgeable and explains the intricacies of eye glasses very clearly.
I love the staffing at this company, they are friendly, caring- and treat their customers like family. They are very competent and quick with their work. I dont go anywhere else for my glasses.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I trust their eye exam results, and very helpful recommendations about glasses.
Had a great experience with David getting new glasses. Excellent customer service. No complaints here.
Stay away from this place because they are very rude special the doctor himself, I got appointment for my 2 children’s one I was 5pm and one was 5:30 pm so I got there on time I was told my appointment was 4:30 pm even though I called yesterday to confirmed it before I am coming in next next day. I the way the doctor talk to me was very rude and also very people there was not very helpful this is not free. Now they loose 4 customers me, 2 kids and their father I promise this store will close very soon because they are very disrespectful
I always go here for my eye exam as I really like Dr. Kellner. He is funny and has a good personality, as well as being knowledgable about optometry. He is the reason for the two stars. However, the owners are rude and have no empathy for others. First they took both my medical and vision insurance and tried to charge through my medical (even though I told them not to), and then wanted me to pay $85. Surprise, my medical doesnt pay for eye exams, but my vision insurance does. They hassled me about this at the office after my exam (I thought we had it worked out when I left), and then called me the next day for the money. Then, I went back to them after getting my eyeglasses elsewhere to see if they would check the prescription of the eyeglasses. If they didnt want to they should have said no. But the owner begrudingly agreed to check them, telling me I should have gone to the people who made the glasses. Saying bad things about the place I had the lenses made (I won the frames in a raffle). I finally confessed that I didnt have money to pay expensive prices, which was why I went where I went.1. My mom always told me if you are going to do something for someone to be nice about it.2. Not everyone can afford to pay steep prices for glass lenses.3. You should have better customer service and be aware that you are serving people with feelings and you dont know their financial status or what their bills are.Needless to say next year I will sadly be looking for a new optometrist
I wanted to give my business to our new neighborhood business. The optometrist is funny/quirky, which I can see from the review doesnt resonate well with all customers, but I thought he was funny. I received helpful assistance with selecting frames, etc. BUT - when I got my glasses (blended lenses), I found that I wasnt able to read my computer screen nor read without tilting my head in awkward positions. (Note, this has happened with my previous optometrist, and they happily re-measured the lines on lenses where the prescription lines blend and ordered replacements.) NOT SO with this practice - when I went back to the office, after a few days adjustment period, the dr. told me I would need a separate pair of glasses for computer use, as Id never be able to get good vision for distance, computer, and reading in one pair of glasses (again - this has not been problem for me ever). Chalking it up to my age as the reason my eye sight could no longer be corrected with a single pari, I went ahead and ordered lenses just for the computer, using some old frames to save $. NOT HAPPY - especially since I could use the computer with them but couldnt look down to paper or up across the room - AND the reading portion of my other glasses still use eye strain.Id call it an anomaly, but the SAME thing happened to my husband -- he cant see well with the glasses he got and was not offered a solution.SUGGESTION TO THE OFFICE -- avoid debating the customers who posts reviews. Your responses, however, reflect how you treat your customers in person though.
I acommpanied my mom who had an appointment. The optometrist, an older man, was so rude to me.I was sitting there in the exam room on my phone. He told me you people and those phones, youre always on them! He looked at my mom and said, my grandchildren are always glued to those things. When I said, yes they are actually very useful, he looked at my mother and said, oh look, she speaks.Later, he whistled at me because he wanted to give me my moms otc eye drops....Im not the patient, Im not a dog, and Im not his grandchild. I felt super uncomfortable. The other employees were very helpful and respectful. My mother was able to use her own frame and pickup her glasses in 30 mins.

Prompt, courteous service from the staff - they did a great job for me, with no waiting. Great place!
Well I am comforted seeing the negative reviews posted about this sketchy business. It is nice to know there are many others who have had a horrific experience with the staff at this business. The Eye Doctor was FANTASTIC, so professional and courteous. The rest of the people working there (with exception to the receptionist) came across to me as untrained predatory, back alley sales cons. Yes, the language I use is harsh, but certainly not as explicit as my experience. They talk too loud while using passive aggressive bully tactics in hopes humiliating the customer in to making an eyeglass sale. I overheard other patrons getting the exact same shispeal, they seamed to all have the goal of trying to trick the customer. My experience seems common based on the many negative reviews that are posted in various places in the internet, not just the Google reviews, which now, a bit late, all offer caution and a buyer beware message. Oh, forget trying to contact management, they are emediatly defensive and dismissive, and a bit threatening to those who choose to expose them....just saying
I absolutely love this place and everyone who works there!Thank you !
It is a must not go place. They believe insurance is their cash caw which does not serve the wellness of patients. No insurance, pay cash, that is their worst nightmare.
IGlasses @ four corners is a small business for and by unique personalities. Their walls are lined with beautiful frames youd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. Owners David and Judy Pollack and optometrist Dr. Kellner speak animatedly and have little patience for people who break the rules of doctors office etiquette, say by arriving very late for appointments, not caring for your glasses or contacts, or not scheduling the proper appointment. However, when patients treat them with respect they respond in kind. For example, today at my annual exam, after only having met me once before, Dr. Kellner remembered where I am at school, what I study, and quirks about my prescription. He recommended that I put a new prescription in my existing glasses frames since they were in fine shape (something no other doctor has recommended before, since they make money from selling frames) and gave me a rebate to make my contacts less expensive. David was able to put my new prescription in my glasses in 15 minutes, and while I waited they gave me a card to go buy a coffee next door on them. Everyone who works for iGlasses @ four corners was friendly, professional, and helpful. I look forward to going back!
I had an appointment today with Dr. Bruce Kellner. He was rude and dismissive, and berated me like a child because I dont change my contact lenses often enough (what a bizarre thing for someone to get so mad about!). When he saw that I was upset because of the way he was speaking to me, he just laid into me some more. When I announced that I was walking out of my appointment, he demanded that I sit down. No apology. My husband (who Dr. Kellner refused to allow into the exam room with me) also had an appointment, but chose to leave with me after seeing how upset I was.So, if you dont mind an optometrist with absolutely no bedside manner, go ahead and come here. Id rather find one that knows how to treat his patients like human beings.
I just had an incredible experience at iGlasses with Dr. Kellner and their staff. Very experienced and passionate group of people. Ive never had such an thorough exam!! Thanks to Dr. Kellner, I got contacts that were fitted to my eyes and were actually comfortable to wear. When it came down to picking out my frame, the young lady there helped walk around and I ended up choosing an absolutely stunning pair thanks to her! I wanted to go boring, metal frame, but she suggested I take a photo and send it to a friend. Even with a selfie in hand, I knew what my right choice was.I loved the contacts & glasses I got here. Ive never bad so much fun at an optometrist office! If you want excellent customer service, beautiful selection of frames, support an awesome local business (used to be Davids Opticians in Potomac), do yourself a favor and get here ASAP!Tips: parking in private lot in front facing colesville road. If its full, theres parking in the back. Same shopping center as the florist, chipotle, and Starbucks. Dog friendly!!!!!
Very disrespectfulTalked down to and yelled atAnd then when it came to a hand shake this old man felt the need to not let go of my hand to show some sort of dominance.Do not bother with them
Friendly staff with a decent selection of frames.
Berated me for not wearing my glasses all the time like I was a child. When I explained that I cant because I cant see near with them the wife just became more patronizing and insulting.
Great staff and Doctor!
Love this place!
