Had adt installed on Saturday and was having problems immediately....so I called to cancel and they said that the person at my house who said they were with adt didnt even work for them....they said it was through a 3rd party so I couldnt cancel.....Extremely rude lady from adt yelled when I was just asking questions. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE....and its only been 2 days.....please dont fall into their game.....wish I could just cancel but looks like adt makes it so thats not an option
Continued charging after service was discontinued. It was disappointing but I’m editing my review because after I posted this, I contacted the company using the email provided in their reply and they addressed my issue completely, sending me a full refund for the extra charges. They were very responsive and I appreciate it.
We decided to install ADT. We don’t have any crime nearby, but with children being remote, I figured that it would be a peace of mind. John was excellent! He guided me through the entire process. Thank you!
Do not do business with these people! We are moving into a retirement community and called to cancel our service and were told that we are under contract and if we cancel we owe over 600.00!! We never agreed to any contract after the initial one at the time of installation. They said it was a verbal agreement made over the phone which neither my wife or I EVER did. Now we are forced to get an attorney. These people are desperate money grubbers who dont mind ripping off seniors. BEWARE!UPDATE 10/17/20...I received an Email from ADT saying that our account had been cancelled. Thinking the matter was closed I returned to this forum and took down the negative review. Then, TODAY, we received a bill from ADT for 736.47!! A hundred more than the original representative said we owed!! This is reprehensible! I can not encourage you enough, if you are looking for a security system DO NOT CHOOSE ADT!!!
This company took money out of our bank account without our approval for $562.97 after we canceled there service within the 3 day period in I have the proof now we are fighting with this company to get our money back plus the first mont of monitoring of $68.08. When we called them to cancel in the 3 day window they told us they couldn’t put the $68.08 back on our debit card because they took it off file well days later they took $562.97 out on that exact card they said they no longer had on file in they would have to mail us a check, then they tell us the check was mailed. So a manager called yesterday in said it was going back on the card we paid with well they all lie we still have not received our money back. So I filed a complaint with the BBB trying to get our money back in I have also filed a complaint with our bank in sent them our cancellation paperwork from ADT. SO WITH ALL THIS BEEM SAID DON’T TRUST ERIC IN SOUTJ BEN INDIANA HE IS A SALESMAN FOR ADT IN HE KEOT CALLING ME SWEETY IN I FAULT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH HIM IN MY HOUSE.
My install was complicated. I moved across country and given the pandemic had difficulty completing my relocation. I received good customer service when calling to reschedule or explain my situation. My install went smoothly and I appreciate my system!
So I was scheduled for an appointment weeks in advance, everybody I spoke to was super sweet and nice. But the installing tech got here and it just went horrible. He was sweet but he came in his own car. Not an ADT company car, then we find out the proper steps we not followed so he spent awhile on the phone. Then looked into installing and got everything set up, just for him to tell us he didn’t have a ladder. It wasted 2 hours of our time for nothing.. the guy was super nice... but the point is. It was an appointment I made in advance to get my system hooked up and he was not prepared at all for installing anything... debating on canceling and finding somewhere else before the next instal is supposed to happen
ADT TEDHNICIAN WAS GREAT AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS.
I CALLED THE TOLL FREE NUMBER FOR ADT TO INQUIRE ABOUT AN ALARM SYSTEM. THE TECHNICIAN CAME TO MY HOME IN TWO DAYS - SET UP WAS COMPLETED. THE TECHNICIAN (JODIE) WAS EXCELLENT SO FAR WITH INSTALLATION AND EXPLAINING HOW IT WORKS AND VERY NICE IN HIS DEMEANOR. WE HAD ADT IN THE PAST AND CHANGED TO VIVINT WHICH NAME CHANGED TO NORTHSTAR AND HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND THEY CHARGED DOUBLE OF WHAT ADT CHARGES AND IN FINE PRINT WE LATER LEARNED WE WERE LOCKED IN FOR 4 YEARS.......... BEWARE!
What an absolutely horrific experience I just had. Calling to get pricing, and all Damarius, their customer service professional, did was tell me how horrible all of the competitors were, talked down to me because I would even consider simplisafe, Then when I told him I wasn’t going to do anything with him and give him my Social Security number until he gave me pricing, he demanded to know how many windows and doors I would be protecting and got progressively more belligerent as the call went on. If that is just the quoting process, I shutter to think what service after the sale looks like!
Horrible Experience! Tried to call in to talk to our installer for a question. Went and looped through several rounds of IVRs to come to the person still was not able to.
