Absolutely cannot say enough positive about them. While vacationing at Fallen Leaf Lake Campground, our truck quit running and went crazy with warning codes on the dash. I called everyone I could find on Google and was told sorry, cant get you in until next month! I called the local CHP office and asked who they had work on their cars and who they could recommend, and they recommended Eloise Automotive. I was able to limp the truck to their shop, fully assuming it would be there for quite a while, and would no doubt drain my bank account when done. The problem turned out to be a faulty throttle-body, and they were able to replace it within just a couple hours......AND at a very reasonable cost. They could have almost named their cost and I was not in the position to shop around, but they did just the opposite and really helped us out. They seriously went above and beyond, and were able to help us out when no-one else would. Super nice people to deal with, and I would without hesitation, give them my highest recommendation!

Been a local since 1990, and never stopped by until recently. Harley is awesome and very helpful. He informed me of all that needed to be done in a professional manner and took care of both the AC/radiator on my 01’ Subaru Outback. Nothing but good things to say and would definitely recommend to others.

These guys are awesome! Harley explained the repairs and possible testing my car needed very thoroughly and was very communicative throughout the whole process. I had to drop my car off after hours and that process was super easy too. They got my car in and out pretty quickly and for a very reasonable price. Will definitely be coming here for any future repairs!

This auto shop charged me $700 for work before my car broke down the next day. I took it back, and they had done the work on the wrong side of the car! With a now totaled car, they had me go through their insurance to seek resolution. The insurance company said that $700 portion was for the shop to refund. I never got my money back for the faulty work resulting in a totaled car. Poor work, poor customer service, poor professionalism. Go somewhere else.

They did a great job diagnosing and repairing some gremlins with my fuel system. Very communicative every step of the process. I’ll be returning next time I’ve got car troubles.

Wow! So thankful for everyone at Eloise. We had to get our car towed Saturday night, unsure of what was wrong but it started vibrating horribly all of a sudden. Monday morning comes and they had other appointments to get through but thankfully fit us in with their efficiency! A quick fix and at a great price, they were also super nice and explained everything really well. As out-of-towners, we are so appreciative! Ellie was a wonderful companion while we waited, too. 🤗

Basically paid 500 dollars for them to tell me my cars window wont work and that its too old for them to waste there time on it.

The people at Eloise were very professional and honest. On a recent visit to Tahoe I spun out and got stuck on an ice berm. I thought that I may have damaged the underside of my car and it was leaking fluid. However, after dropping it off with them later that morning, they called me in the afternoon to tell me that they ran a pressure check and everything was OK. Instead of inventing a problem and charging an out-of-towner like me, they only billed a half hour of labor! Thats a good business.

If you are questioning if you should use Eloise Automotive for your car repair(s) - do not think twice! I cannot recommend Eloise Automotive enough. Our alternator went out and we are from out of town. The service was professional, timely, great communication and a very fair price. Matt and Harley were great! In late April I was at a convention in South Lake Tahoe. I must have left an interior light or something on in my truck. The next day I went to use the vehicle to find it totally dead. I got it started with my handy jump start battery. Ran around town for 1.5 hours and charged the battery. I ended the trip at Eloise Automotive, dropping the car off there to be looked at.Talked with Harvey around Noon the next day, said he had checked it out and could find nothing wrong everything was working as it should I could come pick it up. I asked what the bill was, and his reply, I not going to charge you for not finding anything. Made the same reply when I picked my truck up.We headed straight out on a vacation trip from there driving through Nevada and Eastern Oregon, with the truck running great. Three months later and 3,000 miles still no problems. My hat is off to these folks at Eloise Automotive. That is more than fair pricing, that is Great Service! I know they spent time checking my truck out that they could of charged for. They live and work in a very high cost of living area. I am a tourist and they will probably never see me again. But they believe in honest service! I highly recommend these folks, if there was 10 stars I would give it to them. Please use them, they are the best, I work in the service industry have two mechanics of my own, and understand this world. We need more true honest service! Love them so they do not leave you. Tahoe has a treasure at Eloise Automotive!

Passing through town when I busted a CV boot. Thankfully, Matt was able to get me in right away. Went above and beyond servicing the vehicle, as well as helping with some of our travel plans. Was back on the road in just a few hours. Would recommend.

I had such a great experience with Eloise Automotive. Harley went above and beyond for me and I truly appreciate what he did. I had a coolant hose that broke and the dealership sent him a diagram that had a hose assembly that cost over $200 and he was pretty sure he could find it cheaper. He did research and found a hose that he thought would work and had his mechanic check it out first. It worked and the part only cost $70, saving me on parts and labor. A lot of other shops would just soak you for the whole amount. The shop also found an oil leak and started the research on the fix for that. I was nervous because we had to drive 200 miles that night I picked it up, but the hose did great and there were no issues going to or coming home.I would recommend this repair shop to anyone. They are friendly and are very fair.

We were worried about our brakes after pulling the camper across country. They took a look at the truck - could have easily told us we needed brake pads but they said they were fine. Charged us a minimal price and we were on our way.

Never Go to Eloise Automotive!!! I have been going here for years but never again. Constantly would have more problems with what ever vehicle I brought here after the vehicle was returned.This time was the last straw. After what should have been a 30 minute inspection that took over an hour. My near perfect car was in ten times worse shape then when I dropped it off.I have never done a review for anything let alone a mechanic shop but something has to be said. Straight up taking advantage of people.My driver door was tampered with, wires cut..... clean cut. They tired to tell me it was a coincidence... that they broke due to corrosion .... BS!!! clean cut just to get me back in there. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place over the years and now I know why.On top of the driver door I have the check engine light on as well as the BAS/ESP warning lights on... Again not an issue prior to bringing in my vehicle.After I politely asked them to due something about it .... they had the nerve to charge me there hourly rate to diagnose and fix it 110$ an hour!!!! Of course I passed on that.Never go here!!!! plan and simple

These legends didnt charge us after having some issues with our Chevy suburban. We dropped it off and they did all they could and we were expecting to be charged for labour and we werent. Great blokes with the cutest damn 150lb dog youll ever meet

I have taken my cars here for the last 4 years. My cars are older and every so often need serious attention. They have done everything to my cars from a full service steering rack to regular light maintenance. They have never gouged me or tricked me. This shop is on the level and professional. I will always recommend this garage and services. The mechanics have been there for years and the owner is always there to assist you. The manager Harlee there is the best I have ever worked with in services and car care.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. They practice customer service that greatly exceeds expectations. I recently had my car worked on when visiting tahoe when it began misfiring on my way up. I wouldnt have been able to make it home if it werent for them. I was worried about being overcharged just because I had no knowledge of this place before hand, however I was happily surprised when the bill came. They dont overcharge, or try to up-sell you. On top of everything, my ride came late to pick me up when I went to go pick up my car and I came after they closed and they waited for me to come get it before leaving. I would definitely come again, and highly recommend to anyone considering their options.

I travel 8-10 months out of the year for work, and I drive everywhere I go so Ive used a lot of mechanic shops in the ten years Ive been in this line work. Two weeks after buying my truck, the check engine and several other lights would come on sporadically. I took it back to the dealer several times over the years to no avail. In my travels over the 3+ years, I know its been through at least 14 service departments, and no one could figure out the issue. I tried several different online mechanic, electrical, and various car enthusiast forums; I received numerous theories but no solutions. Finally, Im working in SLT and have the issue again and was referred to Eloise Automotive. Explained the nightmare Id had to that point and left them to work their magic. They not only found the problem and repaired it, but found some other issues that shouldve been caught at other shops but werent, and they handled everything with my warranty company, so I didnt have to get involved. They were open, honest, and efficient with all repairs and maintenance work they performed for me. I highly recommend this shop.

Nothing short of spectacular service. My car broke down at night on the way to Tahoe. I had my car towed to Eloise automotive and was at the shop in the morning when they opened. Although they were extremely busy and had a full schedule they were able to get my car inside and figured out what was wrong with it. Harlee Tuttle was extremely thorough and helpful every step of the way. He had my car running again and worked with my car dealer to get a claim going due to a recall on the engine.
