This review is for Kroger Bakery dept.I felt insecure ordering a bday sheet cake for a party because i got burned 2 times by a competitor local store that never made my cake(s) when i went to pick them up because of Covid crisis and places being short staffed but Kroger guarenteed it will be made. They didnt let me down. I picked up my cake and it was the best cake ever!Moist chocolate cake with fluffy frost free whipped frosting. Everyone enjoyed it.Will order from them again

Store has NO help. Unfortunately I have had to leave a full shopping cart twice over the last 6 months because they have ONE cashier working with a line looping around with over 10 full carts trying to check out. I know of several individuals living in South Lyon who refuse to shop at this store - I am now one of them. Thank goodness for Bushes.

No longer a good place to shop. Update your hour changes online! Barely open until 10:00 p.m. Then you guys dont open until 7:00 a.m. yet there was a crew of five people smoking cigarettes outside this morning at 6am. Store is disgusting and never stocked. The only grocery store near town. and people that work night shift and seniors depended on those hours. Now cannot get the things they need for their household. Poor management all the way around

Store is very badly taken care of. Nothing is ever stocked throughout the day. They are turning to online ordering 😩. Thats not what the majority of people want. 🙄 Stop focusing on the online ordering and stock your shelves throughout the day. Most Customers do not want someone else picking out their produce/meat and when you show up after an office job to shop for produce/meat (6pm), nothing is stocked at this location. You are losing a ton of customers because of this.

I come often to this Kroger location and I can’t say enough nice things about the staff. They work so hard and are very helpful. I know that each department is struggling due to low staffing, but they are doing an excellent job!

Clean, well organized, convenient with friendly down to earth (not fake nice) staff.

Getting worse by the week. Dont shop there on a Sunday, its a madhouse. Dont shop there on a Monday, stock is depleted. No Propel bottled water. Have fun finding coffee creamer

Enter at your own risk. Absolutely gross experience here after I usually visit my clean and helpful White Lake Kroger. Your can room is horrifying and you have an employee standing outside it doing absolutely nothing. I witnessed one of parking lot people as he described himself get in a verbal altercation after he (whether accidentally or purposefully, who knows) took another shoppers can slip from the machine the shopper was using. Then the employee yelled at me and shoved past me when I tried to tell him that the machine next to me wasnt working. The other shopper had to intervene and stop the employee from talking over me. The rest of the store is in a state: disorderly, prices not updated. I get that were all stressed, but perhaps check in with White Lake and see how theyre managing to keep up. Im here today on a one off experience trying to help my elderly mom and I will not let her come back in here. Ever. Yikes.

I was just in Kroger and asked to speak to a manager due to a problem with a credit... I will just say I will never step foot in another Kroger as long as I live!!! The manager Jerry was extremely rude and thanks to him Kroger has lost a regular customer!!! I will be calling the corporate offices in the morning!! He has no idea what customer service is and has no business in management!!!!

Uggg... all I can say KROGER is its time to renovate the store and provide a better selection of things. Seriously... Im driving another 5 mintues just to go to the Kroger on 10 mile.

Please be careful buying food from this store. I have returned several expired items. I brought this matter to attention to a store associate and showed the young gentleman several expired items that were on there shelf. He laughed and said its hostess problem. I dont care whos problem it is. A store should not sell expired food. Today, I found expired lunch meat. This store Corporate needs to come in and clean up. The store is occasionally dirty and Customer service is very rude. I have never seen several rude cashiers in my life. This store needs to be straighten up. if krogers is going to remain there.

This Kroger is my go-to store. They are always stocked very well with the things I need. The prices are fantastic, and the sales are awesome. It is a little busy, but everyone is polite and its still easy to shop. Great produce and meat selection!

The only reason people say this place is trash is the customers trash the place.

If you have ever been to a different Kroger - you would not shop at this one ever again. Terrible atmosphere. It seems like a very busy store but it is in dire need of upgrades. Not big or stocked enough for the traffic that comes here.

Could defiantly use a deep cleaning at this store! Although The staff is always friendly I really enjoy the ladies that work in the Pharmacy and Bre in the deli! There is not always the widest variety in this store but they do keep the shelves stocked I do wish they were not always unpacking merchandise in front of the milk!

Its a Kroger thats trying to make the customer do more work. Aisle are narrow, diary supplies often low, bananas are always green and they they have an overabundance of self-check outs vs. cashiers. Lets not forget to mention parking is awful. They have good prices going for them.

Great store, GREAT ladies working in the pharmacy. I have been using that pharmacy for years and recently moved. I didnt want to leave them behind. Great employee presence, and everyone is cheerful on a consistent basis. The only things lacking are selection for certain things, like produce, and the parking lot is chaotic, its hard to see people and other drivers.

Employees were so helpful to everyone especially during a trying time. The girl that was working the Uscan brought me a cart, and disinfected the handle so I could transfer my groceries from my cart

They could be a lot better. Produce seems to be lower quality but they have a good deli. The Deli staff is the nicest too!

Well cleaned, very friendly workers. Big Selection. Shop the sales.

The store is totally miss managed. Nobody at registers while lights on, self check outs filled up with people with one lady tending to everyone, while the manager stands there and talks with another employee. Watched kids steal food at self check out because there is not enough staff servicing that area. Store is a total mess. The shopping carts are always full of trash. My kids call it the Ghetto Kroger Maybe a change in management is in order. I try to stay away from this particular store but sometimes I go out of convenience and it always disappoints.

In the area its the only place to get plant foods. I like the cut fruit as im always on The go working. Allot of cool mark downs at times. Four stars because the parking lot is extremely small

Easy in, easy out. The gas is always well priced. Occasionally things (like organic milk) will be out of stock and its Saturday morning. Sometimes its hard to find things. Velveeta. With the rest of the cheese and cheesy things? Nope. Go check by the pasta. It feels a bit cramped in there as well.

We always shop here for groceries. They have a nice selection and the store is clean. The gas station is the cheapest in town and its easy to get in and out of.

Not bad at all only issue was thought got a check shorted so called 30 min later lady said drawer was over what I was supposedly shorted next day another manager said couldnt give to me cause a manager put a 100 ones but when making change you put in a 100 you take out to keep drawer straight so I calmly said ok they were supposed to investigate and call me back 3 weeks later no call. So ill never shop there again

The staff is always around to help. They have 6 self checkout lanes. Great fresh produce section and always a nice variety at the meat counter. My only complaint is their lack of variety and options for canned vegetables.

Too bad theres so few cashier operated checkout registers. Nice weather, Saturday and of course, the store is packed. I used the self checkout because I had very few items. Felt sorry for the people in line with full carts and only 4 cashiers. Baggers seem pretty scarce also.

This Kroger is the larger of the two Krogers in SL. It has a wider variety of the most common items you may need. To get more of the specialized organic items go to he Kroger on 10 mile... They also have a better craft beer selection on 10 mile as well.

Terrible, terrible, terrible describes this Kroger. No lanes open except for u-scan on a busy Saturday and Sunday morning. I had to ring up my $300 order by Uscan at 9:30am on a Saturday, which is a pain with the machine malfunctioning because you run out of room to bag your groceries. Poorly managed and dirty!

Our go to grocery. Good selection and variety of products. Often lines are long with registers sitting unmanned. Also they run out of basics on weekends like razors, milk and buns...

No matter what day of the week it is, Kroger seems to consistently be out of items on my list that are not particularly specialized items. Really hit or miss inventory and frequently requires another grocery stop elsewhere later in the same week to accommodate the poor selection.

Its a grocery store, standard fare. Pretty good selection or wine and beer as well as ethnic food.

This location is terrible. Most of the pharmacy staff treats you as if they are doing you a favor, especially the pharmacist. Also, the layout is impossible, the store is dirty, and the staff not very interested in being helpful. Not going back...smh.

It would be nice if all Kroger stores had the same layout so that you can find what you need.

Im a regular customer at this location, and I rarely experience any issues.The main inconveniences are the traffic and overall busyness (which cant be helped, but its such a pain), and Ill often find that some of the produce is questionable -- withered lettuce and zuchhini squash, and rotten avocados.They do a great job stocking general goods and dry goods, though, and the store is always clean.

This Kroger is too small & under staffed for the area.. the bottle return is a HOT MESS- ALWAYS!Went last weekend, stood in line for over an hr. All machines were full/broke - when I was in 3rd in line, {FINALLY} staff just said sorry they are full. There was 10 ppl waiting in line to return bottles ! Not managed very well @ all

The staff is helpful...if you can find them. Pricing at Kroger is ridiculous. Do not go without a Krogers card or get one at the customer service counter, l you will pay nearly 25% more without one.. Meijer, Walmart much better choices.

An overcrowded, understaffed, disorganized mess. The Kroger on 10 mile is better. Edit: in the last few years the 8 mile location has somehow gotten even worse. The 10 mile location is still better, though its also gotten steadily worse since Kroger took it over. The 8 mile location is pretty awful though - I avoid it as much as possible.

The deli NEVER has it together,never has chicken ready at 11 on Thursday,never have that problem at any other Kroger,think that can be corrected

Unbelievable, Fathers Day items that were on sale were out by 12:00pm, Saturday which was the first day of the sale. Now they have the rest of the day and tomorrow to go with no items!!! Then their is the new policy of no raincheck!!!!! How sad, this is not the Krogers I have learned to enjoy shopping in at least twice a week.

Got German chocolate cake which had very little taste of that type of cake. It was a good chocolate cake but not German chocolate cake.

I Like the convience! But had a Bad experience there today with another customer!! My grandson was just diagnosed with ADHD and was having a good time being a little loud with the double car with the horn☺And this later said you need to learn how to control tour child, then basically followed us thru the store being very mean! Wish there would of been a manager around to stop this lady!!😥😣

I used to like this place, but the produce has been awful the past few weeks. I would be very embarrassed stocking what has been stocked if I worked in that department. The meijer in wixom has much better and fresher produce.
