Shane at the eyecare specialist was awesome. Lost both eyeglass pads and he took the time to find two of them that worked for my glasses so I could enjoy my vacation. Fitted them to me and was very kind! Thank you very much. Saved my poor nose.

Courteous, professional service. As a summer resident of Steamboat, I dont have a regular optometrist. My glasses needed adjustment, so I walked into Eyecar Specialties. Without hesitation, Shannon sat me at his counter, analyzed the problem, and proceeded to give me the best fitting I have had. He even added a new pair of nosepads, all without charge. I recommend this shop.

Fixed my glasses for me- excellent service!

I ordered contact as in July/August, and still haven’t received them. I also called to check on the order in September/October, and was able to speak with a woman about the order. She said the order was made, but no contacts had shown up. She said she would investigate and call me back. It’s been two months, and no contact. I paid for the contacts... I’d love to get this sorted and change this review.

Great place. Dr Vides guided me through months of multiple appointments and always answered every question I had. Worked with me on costs and talked to me like a real person when it came to diagnosis and treatment.

I stepped on my glasses. I called at 4:32 p.m. and by 4:49 my glasses were fixed! Actually, they were better than before I stepped on them. Thank you! Great folks!

I had cataract surgery, pending retina surgery in Boulder, COon the advice of Eyecare Specialities, Steamboat Springs, CO .The process was terrific with great outcomes . So I returned toSteamboat for new glasses post procedure and had excellentassistance from Tony, their optician . I have worked with ESand Tony for 10 years and have always been satisfied .

I lost my contact lens whilst skiing in Steamboat. The entire staff was just absolutely amazing to help me get a new pair so I could humbly see again. I recommend these eye care specialist again, again, and once some more.

Just wanted to say, had an amazing experience here. I was in steamboat for the day, and my glasses broke, since I was in the area I came in and asked if they had any advice on what tape to use or how to fix them. Tony took my glasses back, and placed the lenses on a whole new set of glasses! For free! So helpful in a tight spot, and I am not even a regular client of the store. Great service from start to finish. I received a thorough exam and found a pair of glasses that I love. Staff is knowledge and friendly.

Love the doctors, the rest of the staff not so much... Weve been going to this location since moving to Steamboat Springs over a decade ago, but now weve decided enough is enough and were taking our business elsewhere. The prices are insanely high (though this is an expensive mountain town), their hours are random and aside from the doctors, who truly are lovely, the rest of the staff is sub-par. The technician who fixes and fits the glasses is rude, abrupt and not at all someone who should be working with the public. Although insurance was not a problem for most of the ten+ years Ive worked with them, the one issue that recently cropped up is still unresolved after 6 months. Heres a few examples of poor customer service... I have called multiple times about the insurance issue and left messages, but it takes forever for them to call me back. I finally was returned a call after leaving a multiple messages over the span of a few weeks. They keep sending me a bill, even though they tell me they are working on the insurance issue. I asked for them to email me our familys prescriptions through their contact us feature on their website, as they rarely respond to phone messages, and a week later I still havent heard back from them. As for their hours, they are so random - lunch is at different times on different days (honestly I am floored that they close during their already short business hours) and they randomly will close for a partial day and only post a note on their door. In the end, I would give them 1 star, but because the doctors themselves are great they get two.

Spent a visit with this office because my schedule prevented me from seeing them in office in Craig. Dr Eckroth (my regular optometrist for years) being unavailable I scheduled with Dr Hansen. I was not disappointed as every part of the exam was very thorough and professional. I heartily recommend her as an optometrist. Travis was also excellent handling the pre exam and tests. Tony handled my glasses and I was very pleased with his knowledge and customer service. I cannot express how pleased I was with his handling of my transaction. During my fitting the group (including office manager Ellisa) were amazing handling a busy office. Great service and great people!!!!

I received better treatment than I expected. My glasses frame was broken, I thought they were useless. The staff is going to seek out replacement parts and contact me when the glasses are repaired. I left the store feeling very positive about my visit.
