Perry and his staff do good work. They stand behind their warranty and they get any problems with your vehicle right. They are very knowledgeable of repairs needed and sounds that may come from the vehicle. I highly suggest them. I had a brand new engine and a rebuilt transmission put in a 1988 Chevy pick up.

This is the automotive shop that you were warned about. Ive seen first hand a customer charged $3k+ for a used transmission when a rebuild was promised. The owner has changed the name several times and relocated to avoid reviews like this. Find another shop and save your money. He believes he is a mechanic with absolutely no experience and often does not listen to his technicians. Money is the only motivation no cares are given about peoples livelihoods or their hard earned money. Profit over people. Flithy capitalism at its peak.

Consumer beware!! Brought my car to Affordable Transmissions and Engines repair in part because of the great reviews .I have since found out company is not want is presented. Company changes name frequently, under better business bureau name is affordable auto repair and has been given an F which it deserves. Brought my son’s car here, to be repaired My husband was told by Perry owner that Turbo needed to be replaced on car. We agreed to have car fixed, first repair on car since buying it new in 2014. Took over a month to get car back. Brought it back 2 times in 4 months because engine light kept coming on. After realizing Perry is not has ethical, prompt and could fix the car took it to Nissan were car was purchased, for them to diagnose problem. To our surprise, we were told by Nissan technician, original engine, which had only 60 thousand miles on it, was removed and replaced with used engine and the turbo was the problem and needed to be replaced which we thought was replaced 4 months ago by Perry. We were never told there was a problem with the engine or authorized it be replaced. We gave permission and paid over 2000 dollars for Turbo to be replaced which wasn’t done and now have to spend another 3000 dollars to get it fixed not to mention not knowing how many miles are on used engine he put in car or how long it will last. My husband attempted to call Perry and ask why he took out original engine and replaced it with used engine and didn’t fix turbo as agreed on, Perry didn’t answer phone or return phone call.

I took a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 to this place after seeing the sign on 285 West. The truck had been to two other mechanics that couldnt have it running RIGHT. Mr. Perry(owner) guaranteed me that his mechanics could look do a diagnostic on my truck and he could have it running properly. After meeting with me and telling me everything that was going on with my truck, I gave Mr. Perry the o.k. to fix it. Three days later(parts were being shipped) I received a call to come and pick my truck up. My truck damn near runs better than when I drove off the lot with it. Thank you Affordable Transmission.

These guys literally saved me! My transmission started acting up on my way home from Ohio to Florida in the middle of the night. I pulled over to research some places I could take it in the morning. I parked right next to the big “Automotosport and Collision center” says in their big banner” Complete auto service center!!!!Told me they didn’t service my vehicle. It’s a 20’ camper on a F350. He told me to call tires plus?!? I called 4 more places and no one could see me this week. My 5th call was to this shop.Clayton the manager answered the phone and listened to my story . He said “ Come on over and I’ll give it a look. No promises.” I rushed over to find them all in the weeds with work.However, Joe the translation man says“ I’ll do it now”Between the manager being so interested to help and the lack of hesitation from the transmission man to get started I felt instantly blessed.There is no lift for my camper to fit on.... Joe is under my rig in the ground now putting my rebuilt transmission in place.I’m so impressed!!!!!Other shops with higher bays and bigger lifts refused to even look at it. But here they are doing the impossible.....I can’t thank you guys enough!!!!!What could’ve been placed on going negative experience ended up being as nice of a mechanic shop experience as I could have had! :-)

They did just what they said they would do. Its been several months since the engine repair and my engine is still going strong. Also resolved another issue I was having in the process. I have no complaints. I thought it to be expensive but after checking with other shops, hands down the most convenient option. I had several spark plugs to break inside the engine and was actually considering buying another vehicle because of the cost to repair it. I took my beautifully kept 2006 acura tl to this shop with one problem. My transmission.My car came out the shop with scratches on the lower bumper, driver side wheel well liner not put back in properly. Which destroyed it!Nothing was put back on right.My cold air intake was almost destroyed because they didnt bolt it back down causing it to rub a grove almost clear threw!There was oil all over the out side and inside of my car.Oil all over my leather seats, console, head liner, floor mat.My car was Smoking from under the hood.My power steering pump was wining and leaking fluid all over the place.I did however try to give them a chance to correct the damage. But they were only interested in charging me to fix what they had broken. So i took it to NTB to find out what was wrong. They told me flat out. Whoever did the work on your transmission did this. They showed me were they had crushed the power steering line between the transmission & mount leaving two very large gashes in the line. It Coast me around $200 to correct there mistake. And I have all the proof to prove it!MARCH 13 2018(Update) 2/24/2019. There work did not hold up. Showed the people at AAMCO the papper work for what was done a little over a yr ago and they said.(And I quote) You got ripped off!

This shop is my go to auto repair center in Stockbridge, Ga. I have even sent family members here. Perry always works with me and answers my million questions. I like to do some of my auto repairs on my own but when I bring my car to Perry I know its in good hands. He and his mechanics are trustworthy and efficient. The owner Perry is very customer oriented. He will do everything to make the problem right. I had my entire engine replaced!!! He has a very honest crew and will beat any price that a dealer or any other local repair shop will give you! The only problem I had is because the repair took longer than he expected. However, he did discount me by helping me cover my rental car fees for a couple days. I recommend his repair shop over any repair shop I’ve ever been to. DONT GO HERE. BEWARE. HAD MY ENGINE REPLACED HERE. THEY CUT MY ENGINE WIRE HARNESS AND CAUSED MY ECM TO SHORT OUT. DROPPED THE ENGINE ON MY CAR AND DAMAGED SEVERAL PARTS. THEY CUT HOLES IN MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS. I RETURNED THERE FOUR TIMES TRYING TO GET THE WORK CORRECTED. EACH TIME THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE. BECAUSE OF THE ECM DAMAGE SEVERAL PARTS WERE REPLACED AND THOUSAND OF EXTRA DOLLARS SPENT. HAD TO REPLACE THE ECM AND ENGINE BY A RELIABLE AUTO REPAIR. NEED A REFERRAL CONTACT ME.

And not here they did not take advantage of me, thats what I respect the most. reasonable and explain in detail what was wrong with my Durango and how to prevent the situation from reoccurring. Perry is a great guy! Solid. Had an engine replacement for a Ford F-150. 5.4 liter. He actually found a wire that was shorting out on the exhaust before the engine went bad when he did the engine replacement. I had several people look for that wire and had given up on it. Perry’s guys found it!

Took my car (2003 Chevy impala) here week before last to get my engine replaced after finding out that I had a blown seeing that I would have coverage for 6 months I choose to go with them after speaking with Mr.Perry . My engine was replaced I picked my car and boom still a problem(Not there fault) something else was wrong as well as my head gasket come to fine out it’s my fan motor went out they fixed that problem as well by replacing my old one one thing I can positively say is Mr. Perry is a man of his word an I really appreciate him looking out for us him an his crew.

I came here to get my engine serviced and the process was great they do great quality workand the customer service was everything.

I have been waiting over an hour or at least close to it hour for affordable to complete a job that I have paid for and that should have been completed over a week ago I returned with the vehicle two days ago came in today been waiting on him for 45 minutes to return so that he could locate a misfire that he left a check out 15 to 20 before I got here and gave excuses for not fixing of what I payed him to repair

I was having a ton of trouble with my transmission. I called quite a few places and the prices I was quoted were ridiculous. Luckily I called Affordable Auto Repair and spoke to Perry who knew exactly what the problem was as soon as I described my issue. Take heed and believe the bad reviews. This shop wants to be on par with dealer priced engine rebuilds while delivering sub-par work. Received my truck back with the entire control arm cross member missing! In addition, the transmission cooler didnt have mounting bolts attached, missing condenser fan harness, AC compressor missing mounting bolts, and on top of it all my step bars were crushed by their vehicle lift. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable repair shop that wont send you down the road missing critical components they removed while repairing your vehicle.

Terrible experience quote was for 3000 ended up being almost 6000, I still have problems to this day with the car and its been almost 2 years. I had the motor rebuilt and transmission 3 weeks after getting it back it was overheating, I took it back while the car was there I tried calling several times to find out what was wrong. He finally answered after he did the work which I never asked him to do and on top of that the car was still overheating. When asked what he did he stated he replaced the radiator and thermostat cover which he told me was under the motor and its not. Please get a second opinion before you bring you car here.

I hadnt went to this location until recently but heard good things. A dear friend Alice had gotten a car from here and it is still running with no issues other than oil change and gas. I took my Mazda over sure I was having major trouble. But the honesty and integrity of Mr.Smith was something I never experienced. He checked out the car and fixed my O2 system even though it wasnt what his place normally do. I passed emissions.

I am surprise this business is still operating. because every sad story you tell is the same problem I faced leaving my car in the hands of Affordable Transmission. This business is a joke

I usually dont write reviews if the service was just ok but felt the need to write something..I had my truck engine replace the price was real affordable so I was a little worried only to find out later you get what you pay for ..the repair was done within a week so I thought that was good too..so about 4 after repair my truck start leaking oil really bad so I took it and he wanted to charge me for gasket replace said he dont warranty gasket but I most shop replaced gaskets with engine replacement so I decided to take to another shop for repairs rear main seal and oil pan gasket was leaking $$$$$...so get back to why decided to write a review I resent was asked by a co worker of a place that does replacement at good price and that had a good turnaround on repairs so I did what a big mistake its been about month my co worker took his SUV there after to talking to the owner assuring he had an replacement engine and it would be repaired within a week...he try to call to get an update and cant even get an answer he call from a different number they pick up so he decided to drop by the other day and find damaged areas on suv so there my lessons learned from just an ok referral....

I had the most pleasant experience in my life when I saw that billboard and called Affordable Transmissions and Engines in Stockbridge. I am a single parent and my vehicle stopped on me and I learned I needed a transmission. When I called and received my quote and they had my vehicle towed and promised the replacement would be done in one week, I was excited. Not only was my vehicle done on time the cost was very reasonable. I appreciate the professionalism and customer service, which is very rare these days, that I received at Affordable. I have recommended this business to my family, co-workers and church members. Kudos to AAR in Stockbridge, GA.

Was told the 1st time $2,890 including the towing fee, 2nd x, $3,161 for an engine. Arrived to pick up vehicle and was told 3rd time $3,704. Made an appointment to pick up vehicle on saturday after service was completed. Was told I can make an appt on Saturday to pick up vehicle. Was sent a message that my appointment for pick up was rescheduled 2xs that day due to the guy not being there and his schedule.I Offered on Monday, to pay the $3,704 bill and pick up car 2 days later. Was told Ill be charged a storage fee every 48 hours after paying a $3,704 bill. Informed mechanic was on my way in 5pm traffic, tractor trailor shut down Interstate but I was sent a text message while driving when will i arrive.Recieved car and engine light came on the next day. Left stains on passenger seat, oily hand prints on the trunk, items & (car parts) left on floor and passenger seat. Rushing someone in Gridlock traffic to get a car is not professional at all.

Very disappointed indeed. I was told that I had three choices, pay in full$1,590 or half prior and the other half when finished or give title and make payments which is cool. He said the higher the mileage the cheaper the payment. Well it went from that to my car was approved for a $500 towards the actual bill which that was explained prior completely differently. I would not recommend this place because they do not stand by their word when they specifically tell u something. Also I can send anyone the actual conversation since I couldnt put on here so u can hear it for itself with ur own ears. This is definitely not a cook way to run a business. At least stand by ur word. If someone that quotes u a fact that has been there quite a while then right thing to do is to stand by what I was originally quoted. Maybe they need to also train their employees to answer the phone correctly or not sat anything at all. I most certainly will be contacting BBB and Consumers of Atl since I have excellent reviews as a consumer for 20 plus years

Not sure what happened with your experience but mine was great. I took my crown Victoria into the shop after being quoted an extreme price to repair my engine, not only did I pay 1/3 of the price, it didnt take long at all and it was done right. They even fixed a few minor problems that I knew about for free and didnt tell or charge me but I knew. I have another vehicle Im bringing to the asap
