Really good place to grab a coffee with delicious breakfast. Their sandwiches are one of the best Ive ever tried. But minus one star for incorrect information on their website. All food is $2 more expensive in store than says online and when I was choosing the place to have a breakfast in I didnt expect that the prices will be higher in store. I understand that the prices are getting higher all the time, but it literally takes few minutes to change them online so customers wouldnt be confused.

This coffee and beer place is amazing. If you like coffee, this place is good for you also with beer. They have more selections for snacks too. You can order anything you like on their menu. Coconut Blueberry tart, so good.

Waited in a maybe 15 min line to get coffee around 11:30am. Latte was really good but the decaf coffee was a bit bitter.Hefty up charge for milks other than skim/whole, $1. And it can get pretty nuts in here if a big group comes but that’s not the coffee shops problem.WiFi is also good if it’s not too crowded but if one of those buses comes in the speeds tank.Decent amount of seating but not a lot of power if you plan on working from here

Stopped in here early in the morning and the staff were so welcoming! My husband ordered a maple latte and I got a medium drip coffee; both were soooo good! We also both ordered chocolate croissants which were enjoyable. My only complaint, which is entirely personal, was the outside of the croissants had a drizzle of hard chocolate which made eating it messy and challenging. Would go back though to try other things if in the area!

I was bringing my son back to college and decided to stay in Stowe for a change of pace. We rented an Airbnb right next door to Black Cap Coffee & Beer and decided to check them out for my morning cup of joe and decided to try their croissants too. Light and flaky, how I like them. The coffee was great, and the staff was warm, friendly, and inviting.I couldnt try any of the beer selections, but I plan to on another visit!

This would have been a better experience if there were accurate prices on the menu. My Naughty Chai Latte with oat milk was $7.98, then the screen asked for a tip. $9+ for a coffee drink listed on the menu is extortion. I know the oat milk was $1 extra, but that was ridiculous.

We always pop in here for a delicious latte for the drive back home and can definitely say they always hit the spot. The make fantastic lattes, coffees and chais and have some fantastic baked goods as well. It’s always pretty busy, but the wait is always minimal and there’s plenty of fun stuff to look at and keep you busy while you wait. Great place to pop in for a morning or afternoon pick me up when you’re wandering around downtown!

The breakfast items here are excellent (better than at the fancy hotel down the street where we were staying). The selection of retail beers and wines, including many yummy local brews, was the best we found in downtown Stowe. The baked goods were scrumptious. And best of all was the coffee (and chai latte). The service was professional, courteous, friendly, and efficient. I wish I could give these guys 6 stars out of 5!

Love Black Cap and have been stopping by every time in Stowe, mostly for coffee but this time for lunch. This is where things have gone off...ordered a sandwich, the recipe looked fabulous but I asked to add avocado. No problem there, paid extra charge and took a seat in anticipations. Next I take a few bites off a sandwich and taste that smth is missing. Sure enough it’s avocado. A bit unprofessional but not a big deal. Came up to the cook, explained the issue and got back “no problem, we will remake the sandwich”. Life is good again. Well, not so fast. The girl literally took the left over sandwich, opened it, added avocado and then re-grilled it... whoa! Did not see this coming! First off deli, bacon and cheese sticking out of the sandwich got very dry, bread got extra crunchy and dry. And finally, I get it you are the cook making the sandwich in the first place, but to reopen it, poke around, put back together and hand it back to the customer? Just feels wrong and definitely is unprofessional.Sorry Black Cap, love your coffee but will go some place else for lunch.

Needed to find a smoothie for a toddler. We decided to try this place out since it was near the Butlers Pantry. I got an iced green tea for myself and smoothies for my husband and son. They both enjoyed their drinks. I was surprised my son drank all of his since hes a picky eater. They have coffee, tea, smoothies, pastries and a selection of beers toward the back. Theres indoor seating and a small outdoor sitting area. I would come back again to try their other menu items.

AWESOME MOUNTAIN NEW ENGLAND COFFEE SHOP EXPERIENCE - meets most all of the criteria for a great one -- cozy sofa and seating, great coffee, plenty to eat, local artwork & products, section of locally made items, large supply of craft beers and wines to go, location, and atmosphere. And right in downtown Stowe amongst a lot of great shops, eateries, lodging, and at the end of the bike/jogging path that runs up the mountain. Before or after a walk in the cold crisp air, skiing, hiking, or shopping, this is the place!

How can you not have ice coffee at a coffee shop? The sarcastic response listed below by the company shows how little the company cares for their customer. For those reading this an Iced Americano is a diluted espresso served over ice. I would recommend anyone looking for an iced coffee or cold brew to seek out one of the many other shops listed in the Stowe area.

Another sub average dive in Stowe. How can the location of a building be cozy? The windows are steamed up because the glazing is cheap. Coffee pretty rank. Very little else on offer. Feels like this town is stewing in complacency with no great need for repeat trade and this place typifies it.

This local cafe has changed alot throughout the years. Their newest addition is more seating, and the sofa and coffee tables are a comfortable place to meet with friends. They also now have a variety of VT craft beers that you can purchase and take with you. I do not believe you can drink alcohol here.I give it four out of five stars because I wish it was just a little bit more affordable. Expect a latte to be about $5-$6 depending on the size.
