I got my new Tesla and LOVE it. However, buying it was a struggle. The customer service here is AWFUL. Our salesperson Chance didnt answer emails or try to help in any way. Neither did the generic sales line for this branch. If I wanted any answers throughout the process I had to actually call the main customer service line because no one would answer any emails here. Also, we were told we would get a referral credit for 1,000 free miles of charging. Now that the car is here and paid for its not available. No one entered the referral code in time! I had to call customer service to find this out. I get that you are busy and probably understaffed but if these people get any commission they do nothing to earn it. I was not a needy customer at all, just had a few simple questions that no one would bother answering. And lost me 1,000 miles of free charging. Truly ridiculous. I would NOT recommend going to this branch.
Bought a new Tesla, and their build quality is, well, as suggested by everyone else. So I reported a bunch of areas of improvement on the vehicle and made an appointment to come here. Even with an appointment, I waited over 30 mins to be seen by a service advisor. When he came out, he had no intention to help me with any of the issues, because he started by saying, lets see how many of your issues are within spec. Thats Tesla talk for not wanting to fix anything if there is nothing they can do about it. Let me say that Tesla is not intentionally building inferior quality cars to dupe their customers, thats just honestly the best they can do.So they are trying their best, but their best is simply not good enough. Then come the service department. They know their cars have a bunch of build issues, and they are using their customers as their QA department, but they are still saying that there is nothing they can do to fix all the issues. This is frustrating as customers and we can only hope they improve when competition finally arrives.
Lowering to 3 stars as they let a family ahead of us without a previously made appointment. Not cool. I think if they have appointment system they should follow their own rules and dont make exceptions. Cars are great though.
Excellent experience. Knowledgeable people. Friendly. Helpful. Kind. The cars are expensive and have amazing safety features. I learned so much about the feel of the car from test driving.
The dealership itself is fine as any typical Tesla dealership is. However, while we doing a test drive our current car was keyed. Someone ran a key or something flat across the side of our car and gouged out a deep line that runs from middle of the drivers side door to the middle of the passenger door. We were so upset when we saw this blatant vandalism we left immediately because we were concerned about our safety.
I visited this location twice with my parents to purchase a Model Y. First time we went there to test drive a the Y and 3. Steve helped us out and was polite and incredibly helpful. We came back a week later to place an order with Steve since he had helped us out the first time and we wanted to make sure he got credit. We then asked him to enter a referral code to ensure we got the free 1,000 free supercharging miles. After we received the car about 2 months later, we learned that the referral code was never entered on our behalf even though we were ensured the referral code was entered. Since we placed the order in person, we didnt have any documentation that we requested the referral to be added prior to delivery. Avoid this place at all cost. Do a test drive, and order at home. Incredibly disappointed with Steve and his team. Hopefully others can learn a lesson from our mistake and make sure to enter the referral code yourself using the link provided by the referrer. My trust in Tesla has definitely diminished. Especially given sales advisors are impossible to reach after you place an order and build quality isnt the greatest. Thanks Steve and Sunnyvale Tesla for ruining our experience.Note: I placed a Model Y for myself from a different location.
Almost no cars to test drive. Very different environment and treatment than when Tesla was not so popular.
Scheduled a test drive here. Upon arrival, was informed they have no cars available to test drive. Also, theres a closed location a block down that makes finding this place difficult. Turns out the closed location had just as many cars available to test drive.
Their Service department is so courteous and friendly.I took my Model Y for a front license plate mount and service technician Cory was so friendly and offered a courtesy check up and took care of windshield wiper fluid and tire pressure
Great location and FRIENDLY staff! I came in with a question about the tow hitch option on my car. I was helped immediately and five staff members came to my car, answered my question, and offered to pull out the hitch cover and then CLEANed the car for me. This was a fantastic experience and I truly appreciate the help!
Had an appointment with Nancy but she was not available. What’s the point of reservation if she can’t make it.Some one called Mike took my case.Mike first “sized me up” to see if I “look” like a person who can really buy the car and then gave me a card and asked me to watch videos. I told him that I am not familiar with the car but he didn’t have the inclination to answer anything or followup. This Tesla showroom is becoming like any other car delearship where the sales person only cares about how many cars he or she is selling.Anyway, there was another guy called chase at the desk who answered all my questions patiently and saved the day. I guess there is always that one guy who saves the reputation of a place when all others are just watching out for their paychecks and tearing it down.
Sales is fine. Service is a mess. Not recognizing door alignment issues in our newly delivered model Y, instead calling them in spec. One service advisor even implied I should have handled it differently within the first 24 hours of delivery which I wasnt given a chance to.
Bought my first Tesla in 2013... the company and service department have come a long way since then. No, they’re not perfect but they do try their best. Between mobile repairs and mobile app service coordination, I think they’re scaling well.
Folks here were really nice and helpful! They gave us ideas on different Tesla models. Didnt get a chance to test drive one but was very happy 👌
I took my Model 3 to Sunnyvale SC for the HW3 upgrade. That appears to have gone well, but when I picked up my car the INSIDE was covered with leaves and dirt. Did they leave the windows open all night??? I showed it to the service guy and he says Thanks for telling me, Ill communicate it to the team. I expected footprints on the floor mats and fingerprints on the plastic but my car now looks like a barn find after 2 days in their possession. I tried calling the service manager several times. Somebody keeps taking my number but I dont expect to ever get a call back. Therefore, I dont expect anyone to learn anything.
Salesperson was an Asian woman who didn’t speak English very well and didn’t know much about the cars. Felt like she was assigned to me because I’m Asian? Waited 25 minutes past the appointment time for a test drive, no apologies.
They dont answer phones or respond to voicemails. I sent email - still no response. You have to make an appt through your appt to actually speak to someone at Tesla. Service has deteriorated to a deplorable level. Sad really.
Ive been hearing about Tesla not having the best customer service so I really didnt have any high expectations for my very first service appointment as a new Tesla owner. To my surprise, I was greeted promptly as soon as I drove up. The service rep waiting outside checked my car in and took tire measurements. David, my assigned service consultant courteously gathered details on the reasons for bringing the car in. A technician immediately took a test drive to confirm the complaint. A Tesla rental was provided upon my request and delivered to the service center to save me a trip. I was quoted 24 -48 hours for the service work but work was completed that same afternoon. Overall it was a great experience and Im writing this review to support continuing superior service.
Tesla Service Center, Sunnyvale provides an outstanding service. They have an excellent team. I am a super happy customer. Thank you!
The Tesla Service Center is overall very good, but can be a mixed bag. Sometimes the service is simply amazing, other times it has been disappointing. But that disappointment has more to do with flaws in the designs of the vehicles and the service center’s occasional inability to fix them, not in the people that work there. Like anywhere, I find that you get out what you put in. If you come in enraged about your vehicle issues and are looking to pick a fight with someone, you’re probably not going to have a great experience. But if you go in with a good attitude looking to get help from some nice hard working people, that is what you’ll get.
Full service tesla auto dealership. We ended up getting a Model Y 😁... The easiest and most stress free process.... Something that other dealerships should emulate.
No one picks up your phone after you order your car
Amazing contactless service. Perfect CSR to have during Covid.
I scheduled and took a test drive in a 2020 Model S. Everyone here was really helpful and I did not feel the least bit intimidated in driving what is probably the most advanced car on the road today.
I showed up during their open hours and nobody was around. Eventually someone from the service center (which had closed) came out to explain that the sales department had closed early. No sign posted, hours online were incorrect, and the hours posted on their door aren’t in-line with what they are open for during COVID.I understand needing to close early. But a posted sign, and/or especially updated hours online and an explanation that test drives would require appointments now would have helped smooth the half hour I wasted coming to this dealership.
Tesla Sunnyvale conducts itself with exceptional integrity and honor. They are hard working and thorough when diagnosing a service issue that may arise. They are generous in providing a loaner car or an Uber credit when its necessary to leave my car overnight. They have impressed me on numerous occasions with the speed at which they respond to warranty repairs for our two Model X vehicles. They are wonderful cars and this dealership reflects the quality of Teslas designs and way of doing things.
Ervin Salmo is the one who you want to be your point of contact when you are looking for a Tesla. Do not go look for a Tesla without meeting with this guy firstThis guy literally helped me out when I was looking for a Tesla. He provided great customer service.I ordered a Model 3 online and that felt like a huge mistake on my part. The next day I went to this location to find out which color I wanted. Ervin Salmo help me out with and went above and beyond. Because of him, I was actually going to proceed with completing my online order.I had to cancel my online order because the tradein value of my car was estimated to be somewhere around 9k by tesla initially but then gave me a final offer of somewhere around 7k. Carvana offered me 10.5k, so that is the only reason why I canceled the online order. Carvana was prob selling the car around 12-15k from their listings. When I finish selling my car for the price point I want. I will go back and find Ervin Salmo to help me try to get a Tesla.
Nice people.
Dont believe a word the sales people say. Theyll say anything to get you to place an order and once you do, they wont even respond to your e-mails or phone calls. If they do itll be some canned response that will not help you. Horrible experience, canceled my order and decided not to buy a Tesla anymore. Avoid this branch at all costs.
This is my first Time ever dealing with a Tesla service center, i am a new owner of a model s ! I had to drop off my vehicle earlier than my appointment time and they were really cool about it ! Shout to the guys who helped me Eric and David, they made the service go smooth and easy ! They helped me out a lot dealing with something my insurance to get the car fixed. I can say they went above and beyond with me and my car !
We went in for a test drive. The process was smooth.
Got my new Model 3 for issues with Panel Gaps after delivery. The service center explained to me they are no Toyota or Honda and they do have panel gaps which is disappointing but promised to fix some of them which they did. Overall great people but they can only do so much considering these issues needs to fixed at the Fremont factory. Great car, great people but not so great manufacturing perfection.
Tesla quality of service has dropped drastically. Very disappointed today. No error from the tesla replacement 12v battery and I had to pay for th e sensors it damaged. Also I get a queal from the power switches when accelerating and they wouldnt fix it under extended warranty, saying it is normal. Very disappointing... Tesla is becoming like the run of the mill car company!
Very nice attencion
Wouldn’t recommend this location, the Chinese salesperson is really aggressive, I want to buy it but she makes me really uncomfortable by pushing the sale TOO HARD, I wouldn’t believe anything she said. Such high demand car doesn’t need a salesperson to push it. She keeping tell me if I don’t place the order today the car price will increase and the referral program is going to end it 1-2 days. However when I ask her when the referral program is going to end, she doesn’t have an exact answer. LOLDefinitely makes me feel like a traditional dealership, really disappointed about the way Tesla train their salesperson. Really don’t like traditional dealership that why I consider Tesla.
It was AMAZING! Cars were fancy and staffs were super nice. From now on my favorite car becomes Tesla!
Very bad customer service. I went in July of 2017 just to be shunned away by the manager when I asked for a Test Drive of the car. What was my fault? being a Tesla employee. The manager, verbatim, said I am all supportive of Employee test drives but Saturdays are our busiest days and we are trying to sell cars here. Every car we sell is going directly in to your pay check. Cant an employee be a potential customer? There, he just lost a potential customer.I visited again, to my own dismay, 2 days ago (23rd of June, 2018), I have my Model 3 reservation and when I politely asked for a test drive of Model X by letting them know that I already drove an S and wanted to get a feeling of how an X would feel like as Model 3 is not yet available to test drive. I get the classic Sunnyvale Tesla center response again: No, both have same chassis. Both have exactly same driving experience.Sunnyvale location should take some tips from their counterparts @Santana Row location.NOTE: If anyone of you wants to checkout cars, get information about cars, test drive a Tesla (which truly is a great car) then I would suggest you to go to Santana Row location. The staff there is very friendly, courteous and prompt in responding to your queries both via email and in person.
Great experience something I didnt know until a recently is that you can ask for a test drive and it is not your typical other dealership test drive depending on time and availability you could also take it home with you over night
Great selection of the cars. They had a model 3 with white interior: this was the only dealership in the neighborhood (including Palo Alto and Red Wood city). Its bigger than others, you can find almost all combinations of interior and exterior. Working on weekends as well. I definitely recommend going here before purchasing a car. I hope it would not be closed and can be converted to the show room.
Vehicle drop off process took about 30 minutes. Everyone was very cool/friendly. They said they were going to give me a Enterprise rental car but instead gave me a Model S P85D after waiting a bit for Enterprise to show up.They stay in touch via text and email and had a good estimate for when my vehicle would be completed.Only one guy was a little tough to understand because of his accent, but he was still helpful and nice.
This center provides outstanding service. Everyone is so friendly, caring and professional, especially Marcelino, who is just super awesome! He totally made my day today. Thank you!
Mike Dao is the best go-to guy at TESLA SUNNYVALE. He was the only one there I spoke to about delivery, handling deliveries, discussing with a third-party loan, and even kept in constant communication with attempting to assist me in getting my Tesla. Thank you, Mike. I received my car yesterday.
Took three weeks to make an appt, which is long, but I can deal with that as the care was still functional (no Auto Pilot or TACC). But the appointment was only to give me the privilege of parking my car at the service center, leaving me without a vehicle. They never even looked at the car for 5 days! They dont have a phone number to call, and they dont respond to texts. The M3 is a great car, but Tesla needs to beef up their service infrastructure to handle their sales volume.
Went in to look at the Model X and walked around for 20 minutes with no one even acknowledging my being there. I sat in cars, looked at the interactive displays, stood around and not one person bothered to say hello or that theyd be happy to help if I had any questions. No thanks. If theyre like this BEFORE I buy the car, how will they be after?
Awesome customer service. came for a test drive with me to reproduce a noise issue and were friendly and understanding when I was unable to reproduce the issue. Took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me feel that everything was good to go.
The sales advisors are completely arrogant and useless. I bought my model 3 with these guys because Tesla had a 2 year free supercharging offer, if you buy through dealerships . It has been 3 months, and still the offer is not enabled. I have gone it at least 5 times to check on this ; and the sales advisors ( Asian guy and Hispanic guy) there act as if they are doing me a favor, in trying to resolve this issue. Tesla should stop offering any dealership-only offers.
This is the worst Tesla dealership. Our mind was almost made up to buy a Tesla but the people at the dealership was so rude and cold. It was as if we were there to take their car for free. So we decided not to buy the carThen we went to Santana Row showroom, just to give it another shot. The guys were so nice and professional even if there were 3X number of people compared to Sunnyvale showroom. These guys literally made us very comfortable and we bought the car.I wouldn’t even want to give these guys 1 star.
I worked with Adam Vasti at Tesla Sunnyvale and his service and efforts were exceptionally good. I had major brake issues and I had to visit them twice however he was able to setup an appointment much earlier than what I was assigned via Tesla online system. He replaced rotors and test drove the car few times before handing it over to me. He also pointed out alignment issues and fixed that as well. Great service and good attitude towards my issues and he worked well with his technician to resolve issues. Car runs great with no issues. Good management and service from Tesla.
Finally I have been able to purchase my own Tesla and like other people have said before great service fantastic cars and the people there take good care of you and are willing to go out of the way to make sure that youre happy with your purchase. Its also nice to not have to worry about haggling as you get the price up front.
Brought in my car for service, and was asked by one of the service techs to please unplug my dash camera. When I asked why I would need to unplug it, they stated that it was for security purposes.. What kind of security purposes? If anything, my dash cam is even more security. What kind of sensitive data does Tesla have in their service centers? Sounds more like they want to Joyride and dig through peoples cars without having to worry about being caught. As soon as I left the dealership, my Tesla app was dead and couldnt connect to my car and sentry mode was off.. Suspicious much?
Great service center for poorly built cars. This service center and the people who work here are highly recommended. Its not their fault that they have to service shoddy products.
The salesperson was extremely helpful and helped in the process. I believe the salesperson should spend more time in explaining the features of this car for the first time user.
Very good service
Very friendly service advisors who listen and understand the owners concerns and try to address them
Outstanding Staff. Spent a great deal of time with me. Explained available options, including interiors. Helped me to make the correct decision. We are very happy. Thank you. Bill Bethel
This bad review is for Melissa Fedor (a female employee with brown hair) at Sunnyvale Tesla store.Tesla is a great company with great product. However, Melissa in Sunnyvale Tesla store provided the WORST test drive experience ever. Here is my test drive experience recently:I made a phone call to Sunnyvale Tesla for a test drive and a lady called Melissa picked up my phone and told me to make an appointment online! (this is the first time a Car store told me to make appointment online by myself instead of making appointment through phone!! ).Then I did make appointment online. and after few minutes, Melissa called me and told me she received my appointment.SO disappointed!! if you can help me arrange appointment, why not just do it ?? why do you let me do it online and call me back to waste our time ??At that weekend, I went to Sunnyvale Tesla store to do test drive and met Melissa. I though she could be nice to show me the car, but I AM WRONG. She kept dismissing my questions and was extremely condescending to me. She kept being super negative in the sense that it seemed like my question/test drive was a bother to her and a waste of her time. What is the worst part is, she gave me the wrong key (tesla key card) and leave me alone inside the car.I cannot drive the car until another staff came and help me change the key. During whole time, Melissa had never showed again and explained anything.I dont like writing this review because I love the Tesla brand. However, such an unprofessional and rude employee like Melissa Fedor is a shame of Tesla and really hurt/break customers heart.
Worst Service Experience Ever!Better Avoid this location!No-one wants to work here....They all want to relax...They get upset if they see too many customers...:)So In-Competent People....This service location should be closed....
Professional and efficient staff. Took care of my concern for my car.Amazing service, well organized!
Terrific service. Went in to get checked for some issues we had with the car since we purchased it and they were extremely helpful.
They provide amazing service!! The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They are the first service center I recommend to any Tesla owner.
We had our service of our car taken cared of at this facility. If the service will take a while, they will take care of you and offer a Lyft to work or at a breakfast location (if its the early morning). Very professional and would come here again for any service that we have. Thanks
Folks were very helpful and super friendly. I checked out the two other models while I waited for a TPMS light issue to be fixed. It seems that one didnt program quite right and they fixed it in about ten minutes. I take me dog to work daily and he was very welcome into the showroom with the sales people wanting to know all about him. I dont think Ill be back to this location simply because there are two others that I think are more convenient relative to the location of my home and work. Kelcie was awesome though. Overall much recommend if this location is physically convenient for you.
Great service and very helpful, Isaac at the parts department was amazing he helped me order the parts, and called me when it was in stock. He made it very easy that i didnt have to wait around.
Excellent service!!! Keep it up guysReinhard was able to help me with my new Model 3 and I really appreciate his work.
5 years owning a Tesla, and its gotten harder to reach service personel with questions -- phone wait times can be an hour+. My car, which suddenly stopped charging, will have to sit idle in a queue at the shop for 2 days before anyone looks at it, and coming back in 2 days would just put it back at the end of the queue. Various wizzbang electric parts break randomly, and the free loaner vehicles and other free perks and waived fees are no more. Work is $195 an hour. So the Tesla experience is no longer as magical as the first few years. Still a great car and fun to drive, but also a bit of a burden.
Getting your car serviced is actually a pleasure!
Okay, good product, but nothing to rave about
Car is good but the service horriable. They dont provide loaner for customer paid service even they charge 1000+ bucks to change the windshield. I was going back home they call me that i have to go back remove bubble head on the dash. And i have to call uber myself. That is the worst service I have evwr saw.
For a place that sells 60K+ cars, the service department looks very bland. But the services are really good. They provided a loaner. Will definitely be back again.
These guys are awesome
I sincerely discourage using this particular dealership. The manager is extremely abrupt/rude to the point my wife refuses to go back. The folks on Santana Row are much nicer to work with and we will purchase our second Tesla there. Buyer beware 😳
Excellent Service, the test drive went great! Enjoyed the Model S instant acceleration!
Landed at the dealership. Dealt with Vick. When asked her name, tried to conceal her name, then rudely asked why, then called Steve (the sales agent), a completely unprofessional uncouth sales agent who waddled down to so called help us. All folks supposed to be selling cars were sing sitting down doing nothing and playing on their screens. Only one agent was actually helping another customer. Then to top it off, the cars outside were filthy and totally unkept. If I could rate this place -5, I would. This entitled dealership lacks basic professionalism and seems to operate like its doing people a favor by selling cars. A sure way to go under.
Fantastic advisers really go out of their way to make sure you are really comfortable and understand the vehicle
When having service done, they no longer give you a loaner unless your service is going to take 48 hours or longer. Instead, they give you Uber credits to get home and back. Thing is, the cost of an Uber for me, one way, is more than it would cost to rent a car for a day. Doesnt make much sense to me.
I made a service appointment for charging problems and secondly for fixing paint scratch on the hood. I found out today Tesla cancelled my service because I did not send photos of the scratch with insurance sent via sms, which I do not check often.I tried to reach somebody at service but it was not possible to talk to a live service person. But, their email said I cancelled and they are looking forward to talk to me.They should not have cancelled because I slso had a charging issue scheduled as part of this service visit.
Friendly efficient staff. Took care of my concern without an appointment
Tesla Service in Sunnyvale - Im taking a star off - not for the service I received on site but for everything that happened before I got there. If you make a service appointment on the Tesla app, the pre-screener will try really hard to stop you from coming. On my 2nd attempt, I was threatened by an or else... If I didnt give them some precise detail. If you find a problem, insist on getting service.During my 1st in person appointment, I was well taken care of, they took care of the reasons I made my original appointment (the one they convinced me to cancel). You must know what to expect and how to work their system.Im still glad Tesla doesnt have dealers! (love my model 3! Its like nothing Ive ever driven before)!
Service advisor was very friendly and helpful. They took care of my problem quickly and without fuss.
Always very professional and friendly. Great communication. They wash your car. Free Wi-Fi in nice environment. My only ding is that they are so busy and backed up that work often takes them a couple weeks, though to their credit they do provide loaner vehicle.
Speak to Mike if you need help. He was extremely transparent and knowledgable and kept in touch throughout my entire purchasing process.
Very helpful staff. Explained me various options without rushing me. Very different from a traditional car dealer. No up-selling. Hope others can belike this.
Quick in and out, addressed all my concerns, verified I had no other concerns, and were professional and friendly throughout.
Best car dealer ever. No cheating or playing games with the customer. Just start talk.
Very customer service oriented. Friendly staff. Met with Churchhill for a very nice test drive of an X and an S.
Great people at this location. They go out of their way to monitor and ping you about the incoming new cars to their lot and can search other lots for the exact S or X model you are looking for.
Has cars you can drive.
Super wonderful folks here. They were very patient with me despite being very busy.
3 week out appointments. If you’re late at all (even 20 minutes) reschedule 3 more weeks.
Super friendly staff. Never felt rushed to leave or make a decision quickly.
David in Service was really helpful! Kept me updated at all times.
Staff was patient and knowledgeable. Showroom and bathroom were clean. Test drive the Model S if you havent already.
It was a wonderful experience visiting the Tesla factory. Its like having a peek into the future seeing the huge Robots putting the Car together. The experience is cherished my son Chetan owns a TeslaX it was fantastic in the Car and the Awesome pickup and Speed. And thanks to the wonderful Lady who took us around and her soft voice explaining the whole assembly line.SathyaChetans Dad
Very low pressure sales team. Willing to answer all questions.
