Anytime our team needs something that’s technologically related we come here. This Best Buy is a godsend and we really appreciate corporate not closing this location like they did with the Liverpool location. This is one of the best stores in the mall, and it’s a great part of our community. Thanks for being open while other places are closed!
It such a breath of fresh air when you walk into this store and everyone is upbeat and helpful. You forget for a moment what we are living with. I walked in and I was greeted with upbeat employees. I knew what I wanted so I went right to the section but I was approached by employees wanting to help. What a fantastic experience.
My preferred Best Buy! The staff has always taken care of me and I like how everything is arranged! The parking has always been smooth and the staff are very informed on all my needs! They sometimes overwhelmed when many customers coming at the same time, but if you will wait they will give you full attention.
This best buy was the best location in CNY, unfortunately due to the owners of Destiny USA attempting to over charge them in rent they decided to close down. Every employee here was very friendly, knowledgeable of every product in store, had alot of patience with customers, and an overall clean store. This location is much better than the Dewitt location, who definitely needs better training in customer service.
Its closing so... Guessing it wasnt a favorite spot for the techies. The employees there arent very knowledgeable anyway. Believe me, I know! And if you not gonna get good advice, what good is an associate?Just shop online, lol.

My husband reports having very positive experiences with Best Buys store employees at the store on Eerie Boulevard, Syracuse. So I was surprised and taken aback when twice an employee who responded to my inquiry hang up in the middle of that inquiry I made about the availability of an item. I was not contentious in my tone or content of inquiry at all. The person claimed I was not listening, but I did listen and understand his answer to my initial inquiry, but had a second follow up question that I wanted to ask, just for my understanding. Rather rude to hang up, and not once but twice.
Geek Squad in Destiny is amazing! I had an unfortunate situation happen with my laptop and the part I approved to get the work completed arrived back at the store in worse condition and without the part. Matt and ASM Chuck refunded the money I had spent thus far and told me they’d make it right. David was awesome and took the parts I had ordered and brought them into the servicing area before the store opened. Joe got to work right away and had my laptop done within a few hours. I can’t stress enough what wonderful customer service I received at the store. Not to mention around the holiday time! Thank you guys so much for making me feel like a valued guest and for diligently taking my concerns and furnishing results! I’m so grateful for each of you!

Great in store customer service! Poor out of store customer service. I bought a laptop here that was very cheap for a gaming laptop so it has had a number of issues. Fortunately, I purchased the 2 year warranty and have had numerous repairs without charge. When the repairs are done in store they are always well done and the employees go out of there way to show you what was done and how to avoid problems in the future! When my computer had to be sent out of store for repairs it usually had only half of the problems fixed and also came back with new problems.
I purchased a 5-year service contract for my 55 TV and tried to schedule a service appointment over the phone. Problem is, they dont answer phone calls and you must go there in person to get the ball rolling. Im done with Best Buy.

This location closing. Cancelled total tech plan and they r trying to refund to a cancelled credit union card so refund won’t go thru. Manager said credit union would pocket refund which is illegal. Worker said check with credit union but they have no record. Phone workers who don’t hang up on u on their many different numbers have zero help. Best Buy has always been rude profit at any cost so now because they r closing they one more time gotta steal already hurting customers in a pandemic to steal our cash at any and all costs. Filed bbb and will sue. God is giving them karma they so rightfully deserve. Enjoy unemployment welfare line!
I really enjoy the Best buy at destiny everyone there seems to be very informative and if I tell them Im just looking they stop trying to sell me things always have the top line gear hopefully will be able to get a PS5 soon
Love the store an the products but a little word to the unwise... if you have an android phone like I do an u need a screen replacement cause u bought the protection plan for the phone the dont honor it... I know right!! I was shocked too. They will tell you the plan is only for phone replacement which 200 is a whole lot cheaper than 1000 (note 10+) like I have. But if you have an iPhone they do screen replacements... dont know why only iPhone but whatever.. Id go to apple first anyways.. as much as I dont want to I guess I might have to switch to an iPhone 12 for the convenience of an apple store... too much hassle with Android repairs.. thx best buy I will be buying my phones from Apple or the dealer website.
Service is what youd expect from a bunch of people that dont want to be there. But prices are fair and its great actually seeing and putting your hands on the product before you buy it.
Was asked to pay 100$ more for a product that they had mid lanes in store, AND online, they refused to price match and refused to fix the price and admit it was their fault. The staff is very in knowledgeable.

I had a terrible, terrible experience with customer service over the phone. I came in the store today to figure out how I could receive my replacement for a tv I purchased that was broken. Fred who works in the geek squad department came over, listened to me and saved my Christmas. Thank you so much!
Curbside........waited a half hour after I checked in and finally went in to Destiny to find 4 associates standing inside the door at the curbside station. They knew exactly where my merchandise was but could not for some reason be bothered to bring it to the curb. Worst experience thus far in the Pandemic!

Would leave zero stars if possible. While shopping for a new camera lens a young employee was quick to chastise instead of asking if I need help. I feel morally responsible to only leave good reviews when I get exceptional service, never poor reviews, but I was so embarrassed that I made an exception for Best Buy. Several surrounding employees witnessed and never offer assistance either. Never again will I spend a penny with Best Buy, congratulations on ignorant, reprehensible and lazy management/staff.
Some people at the store looks like does not have ideas about different product and services and they mostly reliable on the online customer service. I was there to buy a gift card (not best but gift card), I was told I can not redeem Reward Certificate toward a gift card by the store people but customer cares says I can. Finally I was able to do that but it took three employees ~30 minutes to figure it out (all of them now know because of me that Reward Certificate can be redeemed against gift card (except best buy gift card)

I’ve been a Best Buy card holder for a few years now. They always answer my questions and inform me on which would be the best way to go. If your undecided on what would work best for your home, just walk in and ask.
First rep passed me off to another but the second guy was great. I didnt buy a printer but I did get a few things that cost more, all because of his customer service. The first guy could learn from the second one and could act like he cared. I much prefer the other store they closed in Clay. They were always nice and well trained. I miss that atmosphere. I dont care for the city attitude that some people give off at Destiny.
Always clean and well stocked but if youre an employee and you see a customer with his or her head on a swivel looking for something...maybe ask if you can help instead of averting your eyes/pretending to be busy. Its cool though, I found it ;)
Went in about an hr before they closed, so it wasnt busy at all. Bought over $500.00 in car audio equipment.Rocky was the employee that helped me, nice guy. He had a good sense of humor, very polite, professional, and friendly.I also warrantied a subwoofer without any hassle or issues.Based on my experience on this visit, I would recommend this location to anyone.

They have everything I could ever need technologically speaking, the camera lens they have available, are great starter and professional choices. However, they lack prime lens and cinema lens used for video cameras/camcorders. Overall, though I think anyone would be satisfied with the store.
Called geek squad to inquire about getting a 2ds fixed.. First time I called they. Picked up sat with the phone off the hook and I could hear them talking and laughing. Then they hung up. A few minutes later I called back the phone just rang. Third time I called a guy answered and I asked about if the fixed ds2s.. He didnt give me a yes or no. He just said that they ate booked two weeks out and hung up!!! Im soo disappointed. Cant believe they are called professional!!
Seriously the worse experience ever dealing with this location. I simply needed 1 AirPod replaced. I called and was told that they are not doing replacements at this time which was a lie. I showed up to the store and it took 4 different reps and 2+ hours to figure out how to use my apple care to get my airpods replaced. I was told it would take a week or so to be ready. Luckily it was ready within a few days. I received the call that is was ready and showed up at the store minutes later at 10am which is when they open. I was told it would be awhile before a geek squad agent could bring out my AirPod. I waited over an hour and decided to just leave 😡
The staff was helpful and friendly and were able to answer my questions clearly. I also found out that the floor team is no longer paid commission so they have incentive to actually help people and not just go for big ticket sales. The store itself was clean and orderly. I did not notice any disorganized shelves while I was wandering around. The layout is also quite good and makes sense for each department (ie computers, cameras, games, movies, televisions, speakers, etc.)Good store and good experience.
Overall the products are good. The store is clean and orderly. Service can be hit or miss depending on available and willing staff if help is needed to find what you are looking for. One day we found an abundance of helpful staff. The next there were staff watching us wander to find what we needed.
Good electronics store to have in the mall. You can stop in and grab various items for your shopping list. Offers top brand name electronics in every department. Good prices available on all the products, but most importantly you can get hands on with products before you buy them. Price matching is available and friendly helpful staff.

I had difficulty applying rewards points to a recent purchase due to 2 different accounts. We were assisted by a manager Leo, an assistant manager Chuck and another gentleman but I did not note his name. They were very professional, courteous and helpful and resolved the situation. They could not have been more helpful!! Chuck explained everything in detail and did a great job!!
Despite the negative reviews, I love this best buy. Josh is extremely helpful and super sweet. He makes my best buy experience a great one. Hes also extremely cute .Will continue to come back because of josh👍🏻
I bought two large screen tvs from Best Buy. A 55 inch diagonal in 2017, and a 82 inch diagonal tv in 2020. In both cases the salesperson, was polite, knowledgeable, and able to answer every question I could think of . In turn the salesperson filled my head with so much information between the Samsung, LG, and the Sony, he almost made my decision that much easier. I choose the the Samsung. Couldnt be happier. Competetive prices.
Great selection of products on hand. Competitive pricing to begin with and theyll price match Amazon if they do happen to be higher priced. Knowledgeable staff. A great blending of local convenience and online information and reviews.

I recently went to this best buy to purchase a new phone and switch some others on my plan. Nick was beyond helpful and friendly. Not only did we leave with a new phone at a decent price, but all of our questions were answered, and our phones were set up and ready to use. Nick gave us excellent customer service and made everything so easy!
Associates are always very helpful and eager to assist. My family and I have taken advantage of their Buy Back program a couple of times, always with amazing results. Recently bought a laptop that had an issue with the SD slot the very first time I used it, and they were more than happy to assist (they ended up replacing the computer since I had just purchased it the day before).

Erik from the computer area was amazing!! He remembered me from 2 months ago when I purchased a laptop. I was having issues with the laptop. He brought me over to the geek squad and Fred took great care of me. They replaced my laptop . Amazing team of employees at the Destiny location.. I would recommend Erik and Fred to my family, friends and coworkers!!!

This store is awesome - you can actually see what your buying and the products are NEW - not refurbished Amazon junk. After looking at a computer at Best Buy I went to Amazon and bought a supposedly new computer (clearly used or refurbished). It was used and already had a username so I couldnt log in or even reload software. Went to Best Buy and found a laptop - brand new and I love it!! Thanks Best Buy!!!
Geek Sqad spent plenty of time setting up a GoPro to my phone explaining in detail how to use it. They did it free of charge. Excellent customer service by the staff.

I still like to shop at a store on occasion. Especially if I want some tech/entertainment ASAP. Just returned (on the 15th day!) some new wireless headphones that stopped working and picked up different ones. Staff are great, return was no trouble at all, just an excellent experience overall.
I am from Amsterdam so I wanted to do some cheap electronics shopping. I was at a Best Buy in Miami earlier this year in January and did not get any assistance for my questions on which headphones to buy. I thought I could try again but again: did not get any assistance. Looks like they dont take me seriously because my dad walked in and got immeadiate assistance. At the end of the day its not my loss because they just lost a customer and I will never return to BB. Seeya

Went there to buy a laptop for my mother. When we picked a laptop we were told 4here was one new and one open box. The guy couldnt find the new one. We were there for an hour and had other errands to run. The rep said he would continue up to look ame have it set aside for when we came back. Upon our return there was no laptop waiting and the reps shift had already ended and no one knew about the laptop. A new rep said that there was only one open box in stock.So we settled for another of which the new rep continuously tried to sell us other things. I explained we were pressed for time as we had to be home to get my other son off the bus. The guy kept trying to get us to subscribe to geek squad. Not a great experience.
Today my boyfriend and I went into the Syracuse Best Buy (9090 Destiny USA Drive) and had the best experience weve had in a long time! We knew we wanted to buy some Ring products but we wanted to see them in person before purchasing them. As we were looking at the display we were approached by Rocky. He was absolutely sensational! He asked us what product we were interested in, he explained the features, then he went on to ask about our house, our wifi provider, and where we planned on placing our device. We were a bit hesitate because we knew we werent looking to purchase anything at the moment. We made that clear to Rocky and he was still amazing! He listed about 2 or 3 different options that would work best for our needs and set up. At the end of our conversation we walked away thankful that Rocky was there! He answered questions we didnt even know we had and he made us feel comfortable with zero pressure to buy! When we are ready to purchase our Ring device it will definitely be from Best Buy. Rocky made our experience a million times better than we could have ever expected! Not only was he helpful, but he was personal too!Thank you Rocky for the grear experience!
Ive purchased 3 computers from Best Buy over the course of 3 years. I use them for book keeping, basic computing etc. Anything from keyboard failures to the motherboard frying theyve all fallen apart within months of ownership. No worries! Geek squad is there to pull your chain and completely waste our time. Everyone that works behind the counter at geek squad has a meaningless job. They in no way provide any help other than looks like well have to ship it back to the manufacturer, itll be about 2 weeks. My last computer was supposably being worked on by the manufacturer, a month and a half later I call Best Buy. They give me some BS answer like I assume they would. They tell me to call the main geek squad service line. I call, they say call Best Buy. After being jerked around I show up and have to explain why they have awful business practice. I walked away with a new computer, I dont expect it to last long. Itll go in the trash before I deal with them again. Id rather pay more elsewhere that has a customer service staff that knows what theyre talking about. Complete trash.

Everyone in the store is always helpful, from the greeter at the door to customer service. Everyone made sure I was being helped while waiting for geek squad to work on my phone. The two agents did a great job replacing the phone I had and applying the screen protector.
I wanted to buy a $200 laptop for college but an employee tried to sell me a $600 computer after i told him i couldnt afford it. he then proceeded to have me sign up for their credit card, which i got denied for and will leave an impact on my credit. i just turned 18 so my credit is very important to me, considering i’m starting college soon but, even though i told him i wouldn’t get the credit card, he convinced me to try. went to the one on erie boulevard and got the computer i wanted without any issues. will not be returning to this location for any more of my college needs.

They never have enough people to help in the computer section so be prepared to wait same thing goes for the game section they just never have enough people on the floor on the weekend if you go in the middle of a day theres a lot less people and you will be in and out and get all your questions answered. They are very helpful and ice

Eric H. in the laptop department was very helpful and spent over an hour with me just answering my questions and giving me solid advice. Also very impressed with their price-matching abilities! Highly recommend this location for their service and knowledge.

This is a good best buy... there are enough people to help you, but not so many that you have to swat them away like flies. also, this store is never busy and the people who do work here have been helpful.
OMG David! How dose he know so much about refrigerators. David was not only knowledgeable, but he also was a great person to help pick out or new fridge (we love it by the way) We bought a fridge from best buy with Geek Squad and that fridge was terrible after 5 or 6 service calls, the guys in syracuse (not corporate best buy) helped us replace our fridge with a new LG replacement. Im so glad we bought from best buy and so glad we meet David he was great !

The store is huge. I went there specifically to check out a full frame sony camera that most best buy stores dont carry or have on display. Plus the employee who helped me, Dominic, was extremely knowledgeable about the camera and very helpful.

I just want to say a few things about some of the staff with Best Buy in-regards to the Destiny location in Syracuse NY. People always take the time to leave bad reviews but this is not one of them. Let me take the time to leave a review of how amazing my experience has been.- Chris the in home advisor is amazing. Set me up with multiple TVs, Stereo and so much more. Went above and beyond. Made sure I paid a fair price and sold what i needed. If you are doing anything for your house and have questions id highly recommend asking for him. This Guy is the best! A+++++- Chris with Geek Squad that schedules and installs TVs etc. Another class act and nothing but professional. Went above and beyond on multiple times to make sure I was taken care of. Him and his team are amazing and make dealing with Geek Squad a pure pleasure. A ++++- Moe in the TV Department. Cant say enough about her. Knows me by name now and never tried to push something on me I didnt need. Her knowledge and service are next to none. Which all the sales people were like her! A ++++++- Dan one of the store managers at Destiny. I had the pleasure of meeting him before he was a manager and was amazing then. Now as a manager he shines. Had a few minor issues he was all over and made sure I was taken care of. Wish all management everywhere was like it.All the staff gave me a experience I cant even express in words of how thankful I am. Im a Best Buy customer for life because of these people and I only hope Best Buy appreciates their efforts and work ethic as much as I do. You have built quite a team and I am beyond satisfied! Sometimes you get asked if you want help too many times but they are pleasant if you have questions or want to be left alone. They tend to always have open box appliances which can be a good deal.
