Ive never had a problem with trailers here. But trucks!? Every time. They never have the size you booked, and no matter what the gas you put in, they charge you. I topped it off 5 minutes before dropping it off and a gas station two miles down the road. Actually had the nozzle in until like clicked off because it was so full, and somehow I still got charged for two more gallons. A lot of small things, but I dont enjoy renting from them, not trucks anyway.

I have rented a truck here and the manager went out of his way to get me a truck.it was on a Friday during the summer.the workers here are kind also and if you need storage they have indoor units.some are small if thats what you need.i noticed they have boxes and tape and bubble rap,mattress covers and all your moving supplies.u-haul is a trusted name so in my opinion you cant go wrong with this place

I Have been going to that location for years, today was the last time. Ever since the new Manager Stephen Cabrera took over, it hasn’t been the same. They aren’t so willing to work with customers. Despite being a regular customer, renting from their location several times a year, I was hit with a after hours fee (when I return the truck with the 24hrs) for not completing a drop off thru their U-Haul website, and not even the fact that I had return the truck with a gas thank double of what I was given, moved him to waive that fee that they failed to made me aware of. I will rent from other places before going back to this one nor it’s sister store located on Winthrop St. This isn’t about the dollar amount, it’s about the way you do business with people, specially to regular customers.Despite choosing not to return, I should say that their fleet is always very clean. Give credit when credit is due.

I make an appointment and they call me 5 minutes before my wife gets there saying they cant do the job. Then they take my money out of my bank account for a job they couldnt do. I NEVER EVEN STEPPED ON THE PROPERTY!!!! They shouldnt even be aloud to have a contract with U-Haul.

No propane! Didnt have it a month ago, didnt have it today. Machine always broke

Outstanding!!! Great service at this location. Had an issue with a trailer hitch that was under warranty, and the manager Bill went out of his way to replace the defective Draw-Tite hitch on my truck, and due to rusty bolts, was very difficult to get off. Bill did a quality job. I have rented several trailers from them and had two trailer hitches installed there, always with prompt service. The Taunton U-haul store is the best around and has the best customer service in the business!Keep up the good work!

The employees werent wearing any masks including the manager take notice if you happen to go in there

My experience with a hitch install here was excellent. The manager, Bill, was super helpful in coordinating a hitch from his stock with an installer at another location. That went above and beyond the usual service I would expect.

Place closes @ 5 walkin at 2:00........you would think the guy would have a sense of urgency to get you rented out. But leaves you in the store for half and hour. Im losing move time while hes enjoying the sun chumming it up with customers he already took care of.

Worst place ever. They lie and RIP you off. I was told I couldnt rent a 10ft truck even though they had one sitting there. It was in the same place when I returned. I was stuck and had no choice but to rent a 15ft for more $. They also dont tell you that you have to have a contract person in case you dont return the truck. I thought thats why we have the police. I found out after from a friend that she didnt have to do that at her u haul. I would never use this company again. I would rent from home depot or lowes and avoid this place at all cost.

The customer service here is an absolute JOKE. Next time if thatcher Carry my things.

I walked in and literally told Nicholas I will be his favorite customer and that I needed today to go as easy as possible. Truck rental (local) and storage....today. Without skipping a beat he talked me through everything, showed me my area and I was on my way. Came back to unload /return the truck and Aaron helped me get set up with boxes and even helped me get the truck backed in! Unbelievable experience. Moving is stressful enough and these two guys made it a piece of cake. Thank you again!!!

Usually I dread coming here for anything, because everything takes so long. I dont know whats changed, but I needed a trailer and got out of there with the one I needed in record time. Even the return process was a lot quicker.

They charged me 60 something dollers to use a truck. I follow the instructions for afterhours drop off and later in the week i get charged another $80 dollers for the same truck. They charged me twice and plus the mileage i went over on the contract.

Ive used them a few times as needed, always been good. Last time we had an issue, and the manager was great about taking care of it.

Dropped off a trailer return after hours on Sunday night, but they didnt record the return until Wednesday and charged me for two extra nights. AVOID IF YOU DONT LIKE EXTRA FEES!

Completely incompetent, avoid unless you want to waste lots of time

First we made a reservation to get our hitch installed. I showed up to the appointment and they didnt even have a hitch or someone to install it. The manager was nice enough to go pick one up in Providence. However, we had an appointment..I dont understand why they wouldnt have called me and said they were not able to provide the service for which I had scheduled. The next day they had someone on site to install the hitch. We waited to hear something about the status, but hours passed (around 5-6) and we heard nothing. It was near impossible to even get in touch with this location to see if it was ready to pickup. We had said when we picked it up we would pick up the trailer so we would like it attached. We showed up and the trailer wasnt hitched yet. Even though we had reserved the trailer they kept telling us it was reserved for someone else. I even had a reservation number. They had to get in touch with someone higher up to fix the situation. The store was busy and only one employee was able to help - although was extremely surly and unfriendly. This process took almost an hour as he had hadnt even started finding parts - again we had talked to him earlier and said we would be coming and nothing was ready for us. When we finally left with the trailer we heard dragging noises and scrapes. We thought maybe once we got home and started loading it the weight would even it out. We loaded everything in and nothing changed. The trailer tow hitch was less than an inch from the ground. We tried to drive around and any small bump it was scraping. The chains were dragging on the ground as well. We didnt think this was normal and there was no way we could drive to Florida like this. We called UHAUL in Lakeville as we did not want to ever go back to the people in Taunton, especially as they just attached the wrong hitch and left us with a dangerous situation. If we had driven with what he gave us we would haven no doubt destroyed the equipment - and Im sure then we would be the ones responsible. In Lakeville, the two men were extremely helpful and told us they never should have let us leave the Taunton location with it like that. Taunton had installed the wrong hitch and put us and the equipment in jeopardy. Lakeville got us the correct hitch thankfully - so now we had paid for two of these. During this process we had to load and unload the UHAUL several times, as we thought it was the way we had loaded it that was the problem. The Taunton location not only installed the wrong hitch, but had us leave their location with our trailer hitch dragging and scraping along the ground. Moving is stressful enough, but this experience made it absolutely miserable. We didnt know if we would even be able to leave on schedule as both of our appointments with them took the better part of the weekend. I would never recommend that location, let alone the company. For a service that cost us well over $1,000, it was completely unacceptable.

A limited selection of trucks, and there was just one old guy who looked a bit overwhelmed. Not bad in a pinch but if you want a 5 star renting experience there are better places.

They try to say you rented a truck with more gas than what was actually in the tank on pickup. Take a picture of your gas gauge whenever you pickup a U-Haul. Or else they’ll want to charge you $80
