I understand policies and procedure of not selling products to the general public; however I was shocked to find out they WILL NOT sell a gift card to be given as a birthday gift to my hairdresser. I did call before coming down to the Taylorsville location this also should have been stated on the call. Even if I were a cosmetologist I don’t think I would shop at this location as it’s in disarray, it is at least the aisles are open enough for social distancing. The lack of customer service is why I’ve opted for a 1 star review.

My wife is trying to get started in this industry and they wouldn’t even answer any questions let alone sell her anything without a license. How is she supposed to get a license without any equipment to learn?!

This was my go to location since I moved to West Valley 6 months ago. Since Covid happened, their protocols have been so all over the place. Once I showed up and they were supposedly closed yet it said nothing of any specific hours on the door, only their regular hours were posted. There were people working inside the store but they said they were closed. It was 4:00 pm. I would’ve been fine with them having shorter hours as long as it was posted somewhere. Today I called before I came to make sure they were open. The girl on the phone assured me they were open until 6:00 pm. When I showed up the door was locked. I called and they said they were only doing curbside orders. I needed to look around at different products, so I wasn’t able to get anything. I immediately called the downtown location and they were so nice and assured me I would be able to go in and shop tomorrow. I’m definitely not shopping at this location anymore, I’ll be going to the downtown SLC location. The reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because they do have a guy that works at this location who is the only nice employee I’ve encountered. He should be transferred to downtown. He’s too cool for this location.

I’m a licensed working cosmetologist and instructor at a academy. I took my students here to see a professional beauty supply. We were treated so poorly. I won’t ever go back. Just remember those students are the future of our industry and will be purchasing product from a beauty supply. Probably not yours.

This one is not my favorite cause they dont carry everything and its the closest to my shop so i usually avoid it but i needed something real fast and was hoping they had it.. they did thank goodness..

Had a few mixed feelings when dealing with the place but the staff has be genuine with me every time and even helped me choose colors to mix to get my hair the shade I wanted. They are good about contacting other stores to help you find something they may not have. Wish the shop wasnt only for those who are licensed though.

I Love this location. Its my favorite out of all . Everyone is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Im always greeted with a friendly smile, they always have what I need, and Im always informed of promotions and sales.Im impressed! Thanks Taylorsville Cosmo prof team . I appreciate you !

I hate that this store has changed from Peerless. The new policies are a joke- and I am a licensed hairstylist. Its not even worth shipping there. I will be changing the brands I use and shopping at Salon Centric only.
