Drove an hour to Tempe Cadillac to get roof rails installed. Brought Yakima carrier as well so they could reference where rack should be installed. Apparently person who did install had no idea what they were doing, did not install rack appropriately. I asked for Mgr to call. because customer service contact Rick had not idea what he was talking about.Said install would take 45 min, took 1.5 hours. When I got home carrier didnt fit?When Joe finally called me back he said if I bring vehicle back they would fix it? I said I wasnt driving an hour each way to fix their mistake. I asked him to call Cadillac Frank Lloyd Wright and he said he wouldnt do that? I said you have a customer that paid over $100,000 for a car and this is how you are treating me? Worst customer service I have seen, espceially coming from Cadillac? I would never buy a vehicle from this location.Bigger question how did Joe become a Mgr? Simple phone call to Scottsdale would have diffused this.I guess what it comes down to today is it doesnt matter what you spend on a car, your still going to get terrible customer service.

Took my very well maintained vehicle in for an oil change.Soon after… My car started to misfire and the check engine light came on, and would flash going uphill. I returned to their service shop and showed them they had put way too much oil in during the oil change. I was advised none of my cars issues had anything to do with too much oil. Even put in writing their gun was dispersing too much oil, but fixed it going forward…The resulting frothy mess fouled a plug, caused misfires and lead to a fouled coil.Wanted to charge me almost $700 to replace the coils. Under $200 on Amazon for the coils and plugs that took me 45 minutes to install. I am no mechanic…I would not recommend.

Would give zero stars if that was an option. We “worked” with Tim Hobgood (the “internet sales manager”) all day yesterday about purchasing a 2021 Escalade that is in transit to them. Tim sent us over the offer sheet, we even added dealership upgrades to the vehicle and told him we were good to go and wanted to purchase the vehicle. He told my husband he would call him right back because he was going to ask his manager how much of a deposit we needed to put down on the vehicle. We never heard back and I sent him multiple emails and even called and left a voicemail asking him for an update so we could send over the deposit. This was yesterday. Never received a response from Tim so My husband called the dealership this morning and asked for a different manager and was told the Escalade was just sold and there’s nothing they could do for us. Never even heard back from Tim after multiple attempts to get a hold of him and ask what was up. Terrible customer service, I truly can’t believe they would just sell a vehicle out from under us after we told tim that we agreed to the offer sheet and wanted to move forward with purchasing the vehicle.

My husband and I stopped by to check out the new third row SUV and after looking us up and down the manager on duty offered to show us used cars- and we did not appreciate the tone one bit. It is ridiculous that people should have to dress nice to be treated with dignity and respect at a car dealership. We do not cover ourselves from head to toe in expensive clothing because we do not value appearances. We spend our $$ on other things and save for the future. We can more than afford a 70K car. We always roll into car dealerships on the weekends in whatever is comfortable and its our little test- if you judge us by our appearances we are OUT- treat us like you would the customer covered in diamonds, we are in. We are still considering the Cadillac to purchase- but NOT from this dealership!

Integrity still matters, folks! The used car sales team at Coulter, in particular the Sales Manager, Gabriel, demonstrated high pressure tactics that just don’t fly anymore. First, the website advertised a car at $31,524 as List Market Price. Because we were not trading a vehicle and paying cash, they tried to sell it to us for $32,500!! Nowhere on the website did it say a trade was required. Nonetheless, Gabriel defended his position. Then, when we finally agreed on a lower price but said we would come back in the morning to close the deal (we offered to provide earnest money), he threw up his arms and walked away from us saying that it was their month end and that our purchase wouldn’t do the dealership any good nor the sales rep. We left and decided that this is not the kind of dealership we want to work with. With this sales experience, we can only imagine what it’s like to get a car serviced here. No thanks!!!

I bought a new truck here in 2020. I had a decent sales experience and bought at coulter because I heard their service department was great.I purchased their “bumper to bumper” warranty with the truck.I called their customer service department and explained I had an issue with an alarm going off inside my truck. When I explain the details I was assured it was going to be covered and they asked me to bring it in for service. I brought it into the service department and the technician explained how easy it was to just disconnect the alarm so I didn’t have to hear that noise every single time I started my vehicle. Seems like a pretty simple task.The technician returned my vehicle and explained that they were going to charge nearly $200 to disconnect the alarm that was already installed on my truck when I purchased it... no explanation as to what the alarm was😂 Just going to disconnect it and charge me for it because it was aftermarket from the previous person who owned the vehicle.No regard to my other request while I was there to have my mirror repaired. I was also asking to get this repaired (which I was willing to pay for as it was struck by another vehicle)...Instead of offering to bundle the service or give me some kind of deal, I was just presented with a hard cost to disconnect the alarm that I was told would be covered and also easy to disconnect.Pretty disappointed that I went out of my way to use their service Department. I guess the Coulter experience is them actually selling you the vehicle but never coming through with the service afterwards.... that’s all talkInstead of helping me resolve my situation they were satisfied with me just talking my truck and business elsewhere. Service plans here are a complete waste of money.*update* my personal mechanic had this alarm (installed by the dealership) disconnected in about 30 seconds. Free of charge. Coulter definitely tried to pull a fast one on me.I did get an automated response from the dealership. But that is it.

The test drive experience was easy and quick when we decided what we wanted to drive. John explained the features as we were on the test drive and in ore detail after we decided to purchase. I found a vehicle on their website and called about it Thursday evening. I spoke via phone with a sales rep named Derek (sp?) that said the vehicle was being driven by a manager at the dealership. Derek said he would arrange a time and location for me to look at the SUV and would call me at 10:30 Friday morning. Derek NEVER called. Taking this as a sign of the service Coulter was willing to provide, I bought from another dealership.

Working with a couple dealers - I found Coulter sales man (David Preuss) too be fairly honest. The finance person was easy to work with. I’m not happy with what they gave me for a trade but who ever is happy with a trade at a dealer. In the end I obviously felt good about the deal. Dealt with David who helped me with a vehicle I was interested in. I saw it on their website and called, he verified the vehicle was available and he was a professional through the whole process. The price of the vehicle was the advertised price and no low handed fees and tricks. Everything was up front and after a painless negotiation process I was satisfied with my loan terms. I was also very happy the dealership catered to my conditions. I let David know I am the first person to say dealerships are the spawn of hell but I needed a vehicle urgently and this place proved me wrong. I recently had my car towed here I was having issues with my vehicle not starting. They called and told me they couldn’t work on my vehicle because there was wires cut in the front of the vehicle that I need to take it to a wiring tech. So I did (mind you I argued and called all week asking them to check my battery or computer system and they refused). The wiring tech told me these wires had nothing to do with the starting system LIKE I HAD TOLD THE MECHANIC(S) (yes multiple). If they had did their job and checked like I asked I would’ve had a running car again last week!

Coming from a Everything is about Cars family, I would say my experience with Coulter was good. I didnt like the fact they VIN etch windows and they put Nitrogen in tires (I was charged a pretty penny for both). Nitrogen just makes tire maintenance more expensive from my experience. They were faster than my last two dealerships, offered me a good monthly payment, and APR. But above all, I love my car.

Coulter Tempe was one that I had heard all the rave reviews. I went in at 2 and was out with a purchased vehicle by 5 due to time constraints. They took it serious and knew they had to make the time and the succeeded. After a couple weeks there have been a few things that we found that needed to be fixed. Overall had a good experience until I got to the freeway & the new car I just bought was vibrating/shaking intensely at high speeds..most likely an issue with the tires. I took to their service shop a week later, & 3 hours later they inform me the car is fixed. I get back on the freeway & the same issue persists, even after assuring me they fixed the issue & ‘confirmed’ it by driving the vehicle for several miles. I am taking it back this Saturday. We shall see how that goes. Very dissapointed that the car I just bought is already experiencing issues & they seem very disinterested in making it right.

Truly good customer service and the salesman was great along with the sales manager. When we test drove the vehicle we mentioned that the car seemed to have an alignment issue as it pulled to the right. we were told that it would be checked and and verified during the certification of the vehicle. We we received the vehicle the alignment still pulled to the right and we had to return the vehicle to the dealership to have the alignment accomplished and sure enough the right side was not within specs.The service department did an excellent job of repairing the alignment and fixed another issue that we discovered when we drove the vehicle home for the first time.I was disappointed that the alignment was not handled initially and it cost me time to travel back to the dealership during rush hour traffic. Due to the other issue discovered the trip would have had to been made regardless.No organization is perfect and in this case Coulter Cadillac did an outstanding job of addressing the issues with our vehicle.

I called on Thursday to have a rear end noise checked out. Was given an appointment for 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Left car there Tuesday morning at 7:30. Did not hear anything so called at 4:00 p.m. Was told diagnosis not done expected diagnosis tomorrow. Did not hear anything so called about 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Was told diagnosis not done yet. So I asked, the car has been there two full work days and no one has looked at it? The answer was yes. I then asked if I could be assured that the care would be looked at tomorrow. The response was we are backed up and management will need to make that call. I picked the car up at 5:00 p.m or so with noting done in two days. Wow! I sent a letter to service manager, general manager and Cadillac. Have not heard a word! Wow!Update 2/24/19 1:30 p.m. : David Bartlett from Coulter Cadillac called me and assured me this will not happen again. He gave me his personal cell phone to use next time I would use Coulter Cadillac of Tempe. Update 9/6/19 7:00 a.m. : Went back to Coulter Cadillac of Tempe. David Bartlett personally met me at the service line and took care of my needs. Great job and quick service. What a difference! David Bartlett is a great asset of Coulter Cadillac of Tempe. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We decided to stop by and take a look at the 2018 Buick Encore they had on their website - not convinced we were ready to buy. We ended up purchasing the car and it could not have been easier! After deciding to look for a new Buick Encore for my wife, and aided by my managers positive thoughts regarding purchase of a similar vehicle last year from Coulter Tempe, I did an Internet and phone search for vehicles in the Phoenix area. I was able to speak with David Preuss, Internet sales manager at Coulter Buick/GMC. He was able to find the exact color and trim model we desired. I informed of the financing options I had gotten. In the end, with absolutely no hassle or back and forth bargaining with sales managers, he presented a deal that beat all other dealers prices by $2-3000 and financing 0.8% better than I found myself! Closing the deal was a simple 20 minute process, and David spent most of an hour explaining the cars features, demonstrating how the infotainment system worked and helped us set up the OnStar system to our liking.All in all, a very pleasant, enjoyable purchase!Oh, we brought the car back a few days later for some minor details. My wife was welcomed back by Rick,our service manager, got a loaner car, and the car was finished the same day! I will recommend Coulter Tempe to anyone considering a vehicle purchase!

This review is more than well deserved. I had planned to leave one sooner then life happened.Anyway I absolutely hate car dealerships. As a buyer, as a buyers friend or family member. Just period. For two reasons only. High pressure sales with no follow ups, and all the time it takes with negotiating and paperwork. I got a great deal here. But you can get a great deal anywhere. Especially this time of year with Black Friday and other end of year holiday deals. But you can’t get David Preuss and Brian Peck AND a great deal anywhere! The entire experience was so so smooth. I had a trade and they were fair with their offer for it. I had so much fun. Got there right after work, about 5:30; we watched the Cowboys and Giants while Brian worked them numbers, which were better than was originally agreed. Two hours later I was driving home. Everything done. Two measly hours for everything from test drive to home drive was amazing and I really appreciate the follow ups and prompt returned call from John to answer my additional questions. Kudos to the Coulter Tempe team! 🙏🏾

The staff are friendly and helpful. The first time I brought my car in I had several issues needing to be addressed. I was provided a very nice loaner call and they did good at keeping me updated. The best advice I can give is only bring your car here if they give you a loaner. I sat in the waiting room for three and a half hours for an oil change and tire rotation. I had a 7 oclock appointment and didnt get out of the dealership until 1030.

Purchased brand new XT6 which initially had a great experience with our sales person Derek. The vehicle had to be shipped from Las Vegas and we had a couple of issues right away. One of the key fobs was missing and an SD card for Navigation. We had to set service appointment within the first week and was told they needed to order an SD card and would be in within a week or so. Almost a month later I never received a call or any update. I called the service department and was told the original person who helped us was busy and would call me back which never happened. I left a message with the service manager and finally got a call back saying the SD card was in almost 2 weeks ago. I was recommended to this dealership and had high hopes but someone dropped the ball and we had a bad experience

This is our third visit to this dealership and we have no confidence that they will fix the issues in a timely and accurate manner. We had a car in for a transmission issue for the third time and also for a missing hitch cover. We had a loaner car for over a month before anyone called us and they didnt fix the transmission or show it was something that was to be addressed! I was able to get with the service manager and a service writer that assisted in getting things handled but i no longer wish to waste my time with this dealership. This was the third strike.

Presented my truck for a recall repair @ 7 AM. Waited excessive amount of time for check in. Service person asked if I had been here before :( I purchased at this dealership and have had all service performed there also..... Dont I feel special. At pick up same service person was on the phone as she handled my discharge. Obviously not 100% focused on me and not conveying pertinent information.Update: Service manager responded favorable to my issues, Good customer service on the second try:)

Leased a 2018 XT5 yesterday and loving it so far! The dealership experience was above expectations working with Dan! He is a Cadillac guru and very knowledgable. Presented various options in consideration of my wants and needs and Im pleased with the deal! Pat in Finance was also awesome to work with! He was efficient and personable, and the process took less time than I was expecting. Summary: I would definitely buy from Coulter again!

Do not buy from these crooks. We came down from Prescott, traded a fully paid off Chevy Avalanche for a Yukon. After driving the Yukon for 2 days, we found out the “leather interior” was actually replaced with a fake leather. We also had electrical problems, the running lights and brake lights didn’t work. We then demanded our old vehicle back, and was told it was already sold. Classic bait and switch. We then decided since we couldn’t have our old car back to get another Yukon. After being assured it would be the same deal, we signed the paperwork 20min before closing and went back to Prescott. Upon our return, we looked at the fine print and instead of financing 6k we had financed 11k, our fault for not looking closely at the paperwork and our fault for trusting Joe in the used car dept. Long story short, if you enjoy having a bait and switch pulled on you and you enjoy getting ripped off with a smile. Go to Coulter, if not, GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE VALLEY AND YOU’LL GET A BETTER DRAL AND NOT GET RIPPED OFF
