Wonderful customer service and quick turnaround time! Called in a few other repair stores and was given an estimate of a week wait time for the part to come in. The Apple Xchange keeps common parts in stock and was able to replace my macbook battery in a matter of a couple of hours.

I bought a used 2018 Mac Mini from The Apple Xchange in Tempe. August 2020. In full disclosure, I am a Master Electronics Technician with 20 years of experience, I can repair a PC along with many other more complex electronics, so upgraded the RAM in it myself, with 64GB of Crucial RAM.The Mac Mini has been running powered on as a headless unit and running fine until the last week of February 2021. I went to remotely access it and could not. Went to the server rack in my home to check, no light in the front, mini was off. Turned it back on got the boot chime. Tried to get in again, no luck. Pulled the mini from the rack where it sits next to my other Mac mini and hooked it up to a monitor, Gives me the boot chime and the Prohibitory symbol. No go, I try and get it in to recovery that doesnt work either. Now I just get the file folder with a question mark.Finally, I decide to bring it back to where I bought it since it has a 1 year warranty. After initially trying to charge me the diagnostics fee for the warranty repair and the kid at the counter acting like a snotty Genus Bar employee, I started to get a bad feeling about this shop. A couple days later Alan calls me to to tell me they are still trying to diagnose the issue. Four days pass, I get another call from Alan, he starts questioning me about the RAM upgrade and then starts to try to tell me the logic board is damaged from it. Lies... Then Alan tells me they are not going to repair it under warranty and that they have to send it to the real Apple anyway because they are incapable of doing so. All this to try and get out of their own one year warranty. If they dont want to honor what they say they shouldnt offer a warranty.I still have yet to see proof of this damage even offered to me. This place is starting to sound more like a car dealership warranty to me.So, I picked it up from the shop, said some very unkind words since now have a $1000 paperweight.Got the Mini back home and trying to figure out how to get it repaired, I repeat my tests, Trying to run Apple diagnostics, or boot into internet recovery, I cant get the mini to join WiFi, well that was for sure working before Alan opened the chassis. So I went in for surgery, low and behold the connector for the WiFi antenna is not properly seated on the logic board... I dont know if this was intentional sabotage or an honest mistake. Called the shop back and spoke to Alan and told him they failed to connect the antenna properly. He starts going into a tyrant about how the connector was damaged when I brought it in. More lies...(notice how I never said anything about damage and he starts throwing the d word around anyway)The TL;DR of all this is go to buy a Mac or have it serviced somewhere else,Alan is a man of no integrity and neither is The Apple Xchange.

The gentlemen at Apple Exchange are so knowledgeable & courteous! I have been there several times & they have always solved whatever problem I was having with my iPhone. I have referred several people from my family & they have raved about the service as well! If you’re buying used, consider backmarket.comI received poor communication after dropping my Macbook off for water damage issues. A day or two late, they call to let me know the machine is completely done for and worthless (don’t bother picking it up and we won’t charge you $50 for the liquid cleaning fee, they said, explained payment options for a new machine and recommended I purchase a similar used laptop they had in stock).Well, I decided to pick it up and pay for the cleaning. And after plugging it in, the computer booted like normal. It was a bit slow at first but now it works great. Either the liquid cleaning job was superb, or I was taken for a fool by some employee, or both. But am happy to have my machine back and in working orderI recommend the iDevice doctor also located in Tempe. I believe he is listed on Google. Very helpful and much better experience with him than with the Xchange

Friendly and helpful. Didn’t charge tO check my phone for issues and didn’t charge for cleaning. I thought the charging port was bad, but it just needed a good cleaning, and they handled it for free.

These guys are awesome! My pro max was having issues charging and they took a look at it and removed a small broken piece from the charge port that came from a cheap charger. They refused to charge me (no pun intended lol) and were very helpful and polite. Will definitely go back to them for my next Apple purchase.

I’ve always used Mac computers for my business. I bought a 27” and it works amazing! That credit to Apple. This store has most everything you would want, but the prices seem a little high to me. Bring the prices down a tab and I would probably start buying all my computers here. (I typically buy 10 per year for my businesses, kids, wife, etc)

This store is the best. Knowledgeable staff and friendly. I have had to have keys replaced on my MBP a few times due to wearing through the coating and they are always super helpful in fixing the problem. Prices for repairs are good and they keep you informed through the whole process. If you are in the area check them out.

We have purchased computers, and had others refurbished at Apple Xchange. Fantastic service. Last Saturday I ordered an IPad pro. It was shipped right away and I received it on Monday. Couldnt be happier with them and their service.

I went to the Apple Xchange to deal with a battery issue with my circa 2016 MacBook. My laptop needed to be plugged in to function, the battery was sporadic and faulty. Before going to the Apple Xchange I took the computer to an Apple store in Northern CA and the person from the genius bar told me there were no issues and that I just shouldnt use Google Chrome (use safari instead : / ) But the guys at the Apple Xchange confirmed that my battery was bad, replaced it, and now several weeks later my computer is still working like its brand new. The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because it took longer than they told me it would and I had to call them to confirm it was complete. Thats a minor-ish detail though, overall the Apple Xchange is a great move if youre in the Tempe / Phoenix / Mesa zone.

Ask questions, if you’re undecided about who should fix your Apple device do your research. I don’t know if I just had a bad experience or if it’s the norm so I can’t leave a horrible review and I can’t leave a great one either.Warranty, I didn’t ask about warranty and I should have. 90 days, In my opinion, does not support amazing workmanship and quality parts.I have a cell phone they repaired, with a better than average protective case. Dropped it and the replacement screen cracked. Frustrating but not sure if that was a low quality part or physics.They also replaced my battery at the same time as my screen, exactly 95 days the battery stops holding charge.Warranty speaks a lot to workmanship and quality I won’t be using their services again because of the lack of warranty.

Fixed my Mac quickly and it runs great. Fantastic price. Even suggested I not do some things when I asked them. They said it wasnt worth the money. Refunded me on the quoted price when my machine did not need a certain procedure. My experience was more than honest and helpful.

I took my Macbook here in October to get the screen fixed. My screen was completely shattered. They fixed it without any issues and for a great price! Customer service was never an issue for myself or my husband. Everyone that we spoke with was really helpful and friendly.

I dont normally take the time to write reviews, but I am very impressed with The Apple Xchange in Tempe. I was having troubles with my 2012 Macbook Pro so I was looking for upgrade options. I first contacted Apple Xchange via email through their website and Alan took the time to answer my questions, offer advice, and provide estimates. When I brought it in, they tested the hard drive and battery and made suggestions based on the problems I was having. No pushy sales techniques, just honest advice. The turn around for my hard drive upgrade was less than 7 hours! And now my laptop runs fast and smooth. Everyone was courteous and respectful. I highly recommend The Apple Xchange!

They are good and its cheaper to get my phone screen fix than to replace it and pay the insurance deductible.The only thing is to check your settings after so the screen brightness isnt too high because it was killing my battery so quickly after I picked it up.Id give them 4.5 stars.

This is a great option because you can get affordable Apple products that are upgradeable as my kids need more speed or storage. I highly recommend this business. We first discovered them when we needed an iPhone repaired over a year ago. The repair was fast, cost was reasonable, and the staff was very courteous and professional. We recently purchased a used Macbook Pro and discovered after taking it home that the screen had a small crack that was hard to see, but was permanent. We called the next day and they offered to repair it or give us credit for another laptop. We opted to have it repaired and they put in a brand new screen. We are very happy with our purchase! These guys do great work. Ive been using Mac since the mid 80s and have seen many hacks along the way. Allan and his team were able to troubleshoot what the Apple store couldnt find. Rather than offer a shortcut solution they rebuild my Macbook Pro from the ground up. We doubled the ram and harddrive space which doubled the value of the machine while bringing it current with top line products on the market. Thanks fellas!

Had the screen replaced and the camera wasn’t working when I picked it up, the tech told me to wait see if it comes back as they were closing for the day. Called the next day and camera wasn’t working and the screen had major issues with random touches.They refuse to warranty the work they performed because I wasn’t able to provide the PIN. The individual working there pretty much said I’m lying about the issues I was experiencing since he didn’t have any “proof” of the problem! Very disrespectful as I wasted my time and money and was treated so poorly.Just pay the extra at apple and you will certainly won’t be called a liar! Very disappointed.

I didn’t use their service. Spoke to them over the phone and their customer service was awful. They seemed like they didn’t want to talk to me. I expected the amount for my MacBook repair to be relatively high, but the delivering of Information in such a nonchalant way, starting with the higher prices, came off very dismissive. But just setting expectations;15’ display for 2015/2016 MacBook Pro repair is $599.00 + tax. $499.00/ Labor $100.00. Seemingly reasonable, but likely not the best you can find. Save yourself the personal embarrassment.EDIT (UPDATE): Decided to purchase a 2016 Macbook Pro from this location. Had a long talk with the staff about video editing software. The phone call was a terrible experience, but in person was actually a great experience!! I love my new (used) macbook.

My Macbook Pro started crapping out on me yesterday, so I took it to the Apple Store in Chandler. However, they couldnt get me an appointment for a few days out. I went to the Apple Xchange and they were able to look at my laptop right away and they even fixed the issue that same day. I appreciate that the techs walked me through what was going on as well as gave me suggestions for making my computer work more efficiently. I am so thankful that they were able to resolve the issue so quickly! Thank you!

3 months agThese people seem to know Mac well.I purchased a very nice 15 Mac Book Pro from them for 1,500 $. I payed them to install a solid state hard drive in it. But I started having problems with the computer right away. I took it in at least 5 times, and they got it working again each time. But each time the techs were saying GRAPHICS CARD? to each other. As it turned out this Mac 15 has a very well known graphics card issue. But sadly I was clueless to this. In addition to the extra money that I payed for the solid state hard drive, after I started having the problems with the graphics card I had them install a new battery and they did some other work to the tune of two hundred dollars. Had I know that there was a chance that this computer was going to die in such short order, I would have never invested more money into it. I was extremely irritated that they let my invest 200 MORE dollars into a computer that lasted less than 9 months.I do continue to do business with them. But Im now very leery of purchasing expensive used electronics.

Had 32 gig ram and 2 TB SSD hard drive added to my 27 iMac performs best has ever. Alan and crew are top notch I highly recommend.

Went in to try to trade in my old IPADs to get new ones. FYI they wont take any apple tablets that have the 30 pin chargers. But still, they answered all my questions and set me up with two refurbished IPADs relatively quickly. Would use them again in the future. My only problem is how far it is from my home, but if youre in the area, I recommend you check them out.

If you cant fix its right, just tell the customer that its their fault! I picked up my iPad for the 2nd time. They couldnt seat the home button properly the 1st time. Upon trying to install it the iPad into a Zugu case a crack ran from the corner. I was promptly back into the store less than 2 minutes after picking it up. They claim they cant warranty it, because its damaged. A screen should not crack with the mild pressure required to install a case. They know it, I know it, & you know it. Take your business elsewhere.

Since I was bringing my iPhone in for water damage repair, I figured I might as well bring my old water-damaged MacBook in too. Elmer was extremely friendly. He pulled the memory out of my MacBook and put it inside a case (making it basically an external drive) and charged me $25 - I cant believe I waited so long! Unfortunately, I wasnt so lucky with my phone - Elmer replaced the screen and discovered the camera was damaged too. At that point, with Elmers expert advice, we decided it probably wasnt worth fixing. They didnt charge anything for their time. These guys are awesome!

This place literally has the worst customer service imaginable and sell Low quality Mac refurbished products that they don’t stand by. They are rude and disrespectful any time you call and completely unwilling to answer sales questions or concerns. Not to mention their trade in program is a joke! Buying from them was a huge mistake! I even tried to work with them to trade in the poor quality machine they sold me no one was willing to answer questions or provide solutions! Spoke with the store manager who was far worse than any of his staff . The sad thing is I was willing to give them a second Chance but they refused to be professional or provide anything that resembles customer service. They wanted $200 to install a new keyboard in a MacBook pro 2011. Then tried to sell me on a cleaning for another $50. The oem keyboard part is $20. I am purchasing one and doing this myself. $230 for less than an hour of work. No poor people allowed in this store. Hard working single parents beware!

Yesterday I read an article in USA Today that confirmed what I knew. After updating to the latest iOS so I could use my new AirPods my phone started to slow down. At first I wasn’t concerned because the new model was coming out in a few weeks and I was looking forward to upgrading. Then I found out the iPhone X was going to be another month and cost over a thousand dollars. And as time went in I started to think why spend that Kind of money. I rather go on a trip then get a new phone. And as the weeks went on my phone got slower and slower. Then I started to think maybe I should do the unimamagable and try a non Apple phone. The pixel had great reviews and wouldn’t be bloated with all the bells and whistles that the galaxy has. And as the weeks went on my phone charge lasted less than a day. This past week it started going dead after an hour of music at the gym. And a google search lead me to the re-edit thread. Bingo it must be the battery makes sense. Today after reading the article I wanted to prove what I suspected and Apple confirmed so I put in a new battery in my iPhone 6 Plus. These guys did it in an hour and it cost 50 dollars. I’m happy to report that it is fast again and I don’t need to upgrade my phone. Works great and I want to recommend you give these guys a try. Apple charges 89 dollars for a new battery so why not save the money and go to these guys.
