I moved to this location from another extra space location in Portland because of a mouse infestation. After renting here for three months, they raised our monthly rates by 50% and weren’t willing to reduce the amount at all. I was met with excuses and being told this was still a good rate I was getting. I understand rates change over time but raising the prices by 50% after three months of renting is unacceptable.On a positive note, the site is very clean and well maintained.

Tesla (The Woman Employee not the Vehicle) has incredible customer service!Today I visited Extra Storage in Tigard, and arrived three minutes prior to closing. I had called in advanced to see if I could still visit some units and the woman over the phone Tesla very cheerfully said that would be no problem at all. When I arrived, though the location was about to close, I was greeted by nothing but kindness and patience. She had actually took me to see the three units that I wanted to see, and allowed me to look inside them, though we had to double back once to get the keys. In all of this she maintained the same calm and patient mannerisms, with continued held delightful conversation. In the end of the day I was able to rent and complete payment for my ideal storage size and location.It is critical for me to point out that during this entire interaction I felt highly respected and valued not only as a potential customer but as a person. Tesla is an incredible asset to the Extra Space Storage team and that entire experience was nothing short of excellent. I would definitely recommend and I am happy with my unit and even more happy with my experience. Thank you

Very helpful over the phone, i was able to get setup and walked through the unit process in under 20 minutes. I was also recommended a cheaper price than I was originally planning on courtesy of the nice lady over the phone, which was nice. Have not moved things in yet but the customer service and easy accessibility leads me to believe this will be a headache free process.

I had a really great experience calling for more information. Nathan at one location patiently helped me figure out what was the best fit for me, even though it was not at his location. Jorge at the second location was also super friendly and helpful. I was kind of in dread because moving is the most stressful activity I can think of. They were fantastic and put my mind at ease! Not secure, 2 weeks later all your valuable items disapear. They claim they have good security cameras yet cannot provide any evidence of what happened to multiple 100lb large items.Make sure you have receipts and pictures of everything you put at Extra Storage and be prepared to invest tons of time into your renters insurance claim.

Stopped here today to get Storage facilities for 4th Quarter business operations and was pleasantly surprised at the level of service we received from Anita. Very knowledgeable, good attitude, plenty of availability, clean space, following Covid protocol, just a great customer service experience.

After researching storage locations online, my husband and I drove to this location to view potential storage units and discuss our options. Greeted by Angie, who was in the process of helping a new customer over the phone rent a storage unit. Angie was pleasant and professional with the phone customer, answering all questions patiently and knowledgeably. After the call concluded, I asked Angie some additional questions. She exhibited the same professional, knowledgeable and customer oriented demeanour. We wanted to see the storage unit so Angie also explained the entry process and showed us the unit that we decided to rent for the next year. Angie definitely made the process quick and easy. Highly recommend this location as well as the wonderful customer oriented service we experienced from their representative Angie.

Calling this facility “secure storage” is a flat out lie. I was planning to use this location as storage for equipment in between events. Less than 2 weeks later everything inside has been stolen, thousands of dollars of equipment. The fact that there is no sign of tampering or forced entry, and that the key can not physically be removed unless the lock is engaged, leads me to believe that the theft occurred with the aid of at least one employee. If you value your belongings, do not leave them here.

This facility is state-of-the-art! Great access and a nice constant temp! It was over 90 degrees outside and nicely cool inside! Pricing right now is exceptional.

My experience with extra space storage so far has been nothing short of stellar! I was helped by a man named Jorge, who not only found me the exact size storage unit that I needed, but he also walked me through the whole application process, payment process, and reviewed with me my contacts, and my terms of service over the phone, seeing as how Im renting a storage unit from out of state! He even went so far as to detect and issue in my plan, and correct it for me before I even noticed!! I would rent from this facility anytime I needed storage in the future! Knowing with full assurance that Im going to be taking care of! 👍

He properly verified the account information and showed me how to enter the building and walked me to the unit as I hadn’t been in before. It is a very clean and well run establishment. Well done! The storage place has been great so far, my only complaint is that there is no access to the doors or elevator after 10 pm. We were dropping stuff off one night a little before 10 and left our first load of stuff on our floor so we could grab the second load of stuff, but it was after 10 and we couldn’t get back up the elevator because the key code didn’t work. I wish there was a way to get around incidents like this.

It was much easier than I had imagined it would be, the management went out of their way to make sure I understood everything and everything was at my liking and convenience. I recommend this place to anybody that needs this type of service.

This place is huge, its very clean and the units are nice. Did have some confusion when I talked to one of the employees they told me I didnt need to pay till July 7th and when a different member of my family went in they said that we needed to pay on June 9th. When I checked my call logs I had talked to them on June 10th so I know they said I still had a month. It was my sisters unit and she was unavailable and we didnt have the paperwork so there was no way to know, so we did have to pay the difference. So I would just say get the names of people you talk to about price and keep your paperwork. Other than that its nice and they lock it up at night.

I reserved a unit online in the evening and received a.call back the next morning. David kindly guided me through the rest of the reservation process and I was dialed in no more than 15 minutes later. Its a great pleasure to receive such excellent customer service these days. David was very helpful answering every question I had and suggested what unit would work for my needs at a great rate. Thanks for your help!

A new facility in the Extra Space network, kinda crammed into the little corner next to the Pizza Caboose and the new Autozone big box store, but its convenient, has 2 covered loading spaces and 3 covered parking spaces. Very easy in and out, and its nice and quiet too. Friendly service.

This storage facility is for sure the newest and cleanest one Ive ever been in and the experience so far working with these folks has been wonderful. We were coming from out of state and David, et al. were all super responsive and helpful, which made the process of getting our stuff into storage way less stressful than it would have been otherwise. Weve only been using them for a few weeks but so far I would 100% recommend this facility to anyone looking for storage in the Portland area.

Extremely clean and well cared for by management. Smells clean and fresh. The light sensors are a nice touch and its easy to see. I ran into the manager and he treated me like family! As I pulled up, he was wiping the elevator area down by hand. His assistant Jacob was amazing on the phone, couldnt ask for more!

Great place with amazing management and rates. It’s a brand-new facility so everything is clean. Multiple loading docks and elevators make it super easy to access/move your items. Highly suggest this location!

Sometimes I would like to keep the door that goes into the handicap area open during loading and unloading. Its hard to keep it from closing when I use my walker. Place is very clean and tidy.

Everything was very clean and nice, and Angela was very helpful.

Overall a great place for storage purposes.Rent was a good price. Recent-ish construction for the whole place. So, everything is still in good shape. They have 5 carts available to move things, so those definitely came in handy. I liked that they use cylinder locks vs standard locks.Their access hours were very convenient for me. I liked going later in the day/towards night as there was less chance to run into people.With Covid-19, there really weren’t to many people I ever saw at any given time when I was there to move/grab things from my unit either. So, that was a plus in my book!The space is temperature controlled as well, I never felt too cold or hot when going to my unit or walking through the building.The only issues I had there would be with the bathrooms and the route to get to storage.The route to get there required me to drive to SW 72nd Ave and go around past Walmart to get to the unit, since no U-Turns are allowed in Oregon. I used to go through the parking lot where the old Toys R Us was, but there looks to be some type of construction going on, so the parking lot was blocked off.Sometimes they were also out of paper towels and soap more often than it was stocked, at least in the men’s room. I figured that would be from people washing there hands a lot, which is a good thing!Just a bummer I couldn’t wash mine after moving things, touching keypads, etc.I didn’t have very many interactions with the office, but when I did they were good. I only spoke to David over the phone when I was notifying him I finished moving out of my unit. He seemed to be very personable and helpful.Overall I’d recommended this location for your storage needs! :)

This is my second unit with Extra Space. The facilities are always clean and spacious. Both locations I rent from are brand new as well. At this location in Tigard I was immediately greeted by Mary who quickly answered any questions I had. The tour was great, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to renting extra space here.

We rolled up with a truck full of furniture after accidentally reserving a unit at the wrong facility, and within minutes of our arrival Brandon had cancelled the erroneous reservation for us and had us set up with an identical unit at this location. I recently downsized to a smaller unit and was very pleased with the speed and thoroughness in which the process was completed.
