Colman did a stellar job installing an AC system in my home. It works perfectly, is quiet and my power bill went down. The Office personnel followed up, followed through and were friendly and totally professional. Stellar! As was the Install Team. 5 Stars
Very pleased with Colman Heating & Air. Although they have been my maintenance company for about a year, my 24 year old home system died last week (RIP - I knew it was getting close). The Colman team bent over backwards to make the install of the new system as painless as possible. I mean, in Florida in August, its pretty darn hot and I was miserable. Glen and his team moved mountains to get me up and running. Staff is always professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them!!

We have had a service contract with Colman Heating and Air for both of our HVAC systems for 4 years and couldn’t be more pleased. They religiously call to set up service twice a year and are always able to fix any minor issues while taking care of it under our original warranty. We have not had any breakdowns where we have been without air as a result of using their maintenance services. The cost is very reasonable. I would highly recommend.
My AC went out early on a Saturday morning. Called Colman and Johnny was at my house within 1 hour and had my AC fixed and running within 30 minutes. Now THAT is what I call good service. Ive used two other AC companies and both have ended up costing me more than the services they provided. Im staying with Colman.

I have used Colman since I moved to Florida 3 years ago. The first time I called them, they were here the next day. The service tech (Brad Miller) seamed very concerned to get my old unit up and running before the heat of the day set in. I was impressed that he cared about his work and our comfort to that degree. Recently, I purchased a new heating and air unit through them. The price was very fair and the installation was professionally done by two very polite and considerate installers.One was named David and the other was named Johnny. If you guys sold cars, I would buy one from you, and that is saying a lot because I hate buy cars! Thanks guys!

I used their website’s contact form, received a call back the next day. I scheduled an appointment to make a small repair, estimate to clean our ducts (whole home) and an estimate to potentially replace the duct work and relocating our handler and condenser unit. They offered to have a technician out at a time when my wife was able to take off work. The person who took my call indicated the technician would be out around 3:30pm 6/29. When 4:30pm came around my wife called the office (number from their website) and the person taking the call answered with a simple “hello”. My wife asked to clarify that she had reach Colman heating and air and the female responded “Oh I thought you were my boss, Colman heating and air”. When my wife asked if the technician was running late she was told we had no such appointment and that she had no record for anything scheduled at our address. There was no attempt to reschedule an appointment or gain our business even though there was clearly a mistake somewhere along the way.I had high hopes for this company to provide us with the services they offer based on their website and what I thought was a professional looking business. Those hopes have been severely altered and I guess our request for their services doesn’t rank high enough on their list of potential customers.

I posted an issue with my AC on Facebook and got an immediate response from Glen Perry GM I was in awe because I was looking for recommendations due to a bad past experience and he immediately responded he knew exactly how to resolve the problem and he set up the appt to send a Tech out and he sent Coty Ruger to take care of the issue which was quite complex. Coty did an excellent job and I was very touched by their professionalism punctuality and expert knowledge to resolve the problem.Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Our A/C fan motor burned out on a Tuesday afternoon. Called for service as we have a maintenance contract and Brad was there within a couple of hours. Bad news...needed a new motor. Fortunately, the motor was still under warranty. They had the motor and had it installed by early Thursday afternoon. While Brad was here he went ahead and did the semi annual check up as well. Everything is back up and running. Thanks Brad for a job well done.

The undertaking was accomplished within one day and the site was cleaned up after completion. The team was very professional, courteous, and technically knowledgeable. I’m very pleased with the service provided.
Our AC stopped cooling so we called Colman Heating & Air to assist in resolving the issue. The technician from Colman Heating & Air arrived on 6/16/2020, told us that in addition to the cost of the service call (during normal hours), there would be another charge for a leak search. The technician said the AC was low on refrigerant and that the cause of it was a leak on the OUTDOOR COIL. The technician said that it was a slow leak that he couldnt even find it. The technician recommended an AC replacement and provided us a quote. We opted for a refrigerant refill since the leak was slow (this is what The Colman Heating & Air technician said). Please note that in the work order which we also have a copy of, the technician had noted that the FILTER DRIER was RUSTING OPERATIONAL.Colman Heating & Air charged us an outrageous amount which included a leak search. A few days later, the AC stopped cooling and we called them back. They refused to accept any responsibility and wanted to charge us more money to come and look at the issue. We decided to call another company, Altman Cooling and Heating to come and troubleshoot the issue. The technician from Altman Cooling and Heating arrived on 6/26/2020, and Within 5 minutes of arrival, identified the rusting FILTER DRIER as the cause of the leakage and proceeded to replace it. He also said that our OUTDOOR COIL was perfectly fine.Colman Heating & Air knowingly misled us into thinking that the outdoor coil was the issue with the AC even though they clearly knew and noted in the work order that the filter drier was rusting and clearly leaking. We were misled into opting for a refill as a temporary workaround when the REAL issue was that the filter drier needed replacement. We have tried to seek reimbursement from Colman Heating & Air but they have been extremely rude and uncooperative. During a call with Colman Heating & Air, they claimed that the leak in the line filter dryer occurred after their technician had left and also maybe the Altman Cooling and Heating technician didn’t have the right equipment to correctly inspect the coil. REALLY??!UPDATE:After reading the response from Colman Heating & Air, it is clear that LYING to customers is a standard business practice there. They did not try to reach out to us. We had to reach out to them and even then we did not get a chance to speak to the manager who was out on lunch. After not hearing from Colman Heating & Air for days, we reached out to them and they were extremely rude, combative and aggressive. Furthermore, no threats were made. The response from Colman Heating & Air is very disgusting and disturbing.
Believe the other one star reviews. Our system was not cooling. I called Colman and setup a service call. I asked before scheduling how much a service call is, they said $89, no problem.Tech came out and said we were out of refrigerant. Said there was a leak but he could get us up and running for a couple days until they could come and fix the leak. What he didnt tell me is he would put in $498 of freon into the system that leaked out a day later to get me running... That I found out when he came inside to tell me what the bill was. I afterwards checked around and found this type of thing is common practice for them. They also charge $70 a pound for 410 refrigerant. I called around, 4 other companies I called said their charge is about $40 a pound.Stay away from Colman.Also know that Glen Perry is two of their 5 star reviews and he is the service manager, so I dont see how he should be leaving reviews of his own service.
I called to have my split unit cleaned. When I asked if that was a service they preformed, explaining my unit and how I was aware it needed to be flushed out and cleaned, the woman replied so a maintenance.I guess so. I have never had it cleaned before, this is my first time ever calling for AC services, so I dont know anything.This would have been when you should explain what a maintenance consists of.All I knew is that if this doesnt get cleaned, it could break. And ALL of the cleaning and maintenance Ive learned about it STRESSES the importance of the split unit being cleaned every 6 months with videos and images and kits online that flush the interior unit. So the word Maintenance sounded like it fit the bill for what I needed, and it was her response to me requesting it be cleaned.The technician arrived within his time window, and was very sweet, professional and helpful. He is why this gets two stars instead of one.He pointed out the interior of my unit on the wall and recommended I get that cleaned out. My reply was... isnt that what youre doing today?He explained that was a different service, and cost a good bit more and gave me the price. I thanked him, paid him, gave him a tip, and he left.I called the office to explain the misunderstanding, that I expected it to be cleaned. So you wanted a CLEANING? she said.Well. Yes. A CLEANING was what I asked for when I called a week prior. I remembered the conversation to the T, as she was being a bit rough around the edges to begin with.(Also, Im a Customer Service Manager, if I overheard this conversation with one of my office employees, I would have taken over the call and had that employee re-trained or transferred to a different department. I didnt get my title by not explaining services to customers, assuming what they wanted and being short with them.)She then proceeds to do the worst, most classic, defensive move in the book of poor customer service. Blame the customer. Shes got that one perfected. Five stars hands down. Im sorry you didnt understand.I reminded her of our conversation the week before when I had booked, that I stated it needed CLEANED and she said so maintenanced, and how I admitted to her I didnt know the terms in the industry as I do not work in that industry.We went in a loop like that several times, until I said to her I told you it needed cleaned, and that I had never called for AC services before. If I had been told about the different services that clean units, I would have chosen the deeper cleaning option as it was what I wanted. I paid $100 for something I do myself regularly.Then she apologized because, quote; Im used to our customers who call in and know what a maintenance is.So it didnt hit you to explain in more detail when you have a brand new, potentially returning customer calling who ADMITS to you they are ignorant of what their options are, they just know their unit needs cleaned?I let her know I wasnt expecting the in depth cleaning to come for the price I paid (which it really, probably should have at this point), and that I would at least like to just pay the difference to get what I thought I was paying for per our conversation when I scheduled. ANYTHING at all, any attempt at reconciliation would have been appreciated, but there was zero attempt except for apologizing I didnt know their services when I called, and that she is just used to their regulars knowing the deal.She said she would have to speak with the General Manager, as she was not able to make that decision. I said I totally understand that, thank you for reaching out to him. I got a call back this morning as she said she would. She informed me they would not be able to do anything to credit me towards the cleaning I was under the impression I was getting, so I thanked her for trying, and let her know I hope she learns to better explain their services in the future but I would not be calling them again.
02-19-21 I had a brand new Lennox system installed today. Brad, Johnny and David were the installers. I couldn’t be more pleased with their work as well as their curtesy and efficiency. They did a great job and I would highly recommend this company. Thank you so much.Zyna Glenn

Colman Heating and air have been servicing our air conditioner for over 15 years. They have always kept it in excellent running condition. All the staff is friendly and eager to reach out and help with any of our problems right away. Our air conditioner would still be running perfectly if it hadn’t got hit by a bolt of lightning.They promptly ordered up a new air conditioner for us and had it installed. The two gentlemen that installed it were polite and professional and did an excellent job. We highly recommend them!

Here it is the middle of a three day holiday and the AC goes out during the might. Called Colman Air, they arrived within an hour, and repaired the AC, and were finished within 30 minutes. Awesome service!
I have a brand new AC unit not even a year old. I called because it hasnt been working right and my electricity bill has been over $300. The guy that came out was not very knowledgeable at all. I told him Ive been having to change my filter every week and he told me that was normal because my dogs. He told me that I was low on freon and if I had a leak it would be $300 just to check for it. I also explained to him that my dogs like to dig around the unit and clog the pipes that weve since blocked off from the dogs but it was still dirty. It seemed like everything I said to him went in one ear and out the other. I paid $200 for the visit and and to have some freon added which he suggested he thought would fix the problem. Im now out $200 and still sitting inside sweating. I would not recommend this company at all!
Excellent company! Well run with timely follow ups. Casey was great; he was on time, professional and friendly. He introduced me to algae pad’s so hopefully the days of hot water and vinegar in the drain line are over.

Ive had Colman for a number of years for service on A/C and heating system. Trusted them enough to buy a new system from them when one was needed. Appreciate the professionalism, caring, knowledge, and when I needed new system I didnt get the hard sell. Just a lot of facts and information and all my questions answered so that I could make the best decision. Obviously, cant recommend them enough!
I have had several condensate issues with a new AC system and with each call to Coleman, they were very courteous, professional, and responsive; able to arrive the morning of the same day. The technician identified and corrected what was considered to be the problem (slime in the condensate line). Several days later the issue returned and again same day response and the technician determined that the issue was part of the condominium infrastructure (a clogged central line). I would do business with Coleman anytime, whether for a service call (Coleman did the initial inspection/evaluation of the existing AC system) or a purchase (I purchased a new system). I have been very pleased in every aspect f their service.

My ac stopped working on one of the hottest days of the year, so far. I called Colmans and a repairman responded to me the next day. I knew my unit was very old and would need to be replaced. He explained my options and I made the decision to replace it. The techs were there exactly on time and had the new unit up and running within a few hours.
Colman Heating & Air, Inc. technicians are very professional. I have worked with many contractors over the years and I can easily say that they were one of the rare top few. The job was done on time, professionally and the job site was left very clean. I would definitely recommend them.
I will recommend Colman AC for the following reason. Last Friday night our air went out after a power surge. I called Colman because I heard they were honest and fair. Their tech Casey came out and proceeded to track the problem. He was outside and it was very dark and raining. He diagnosed the problem was a circuit board and couldn’t do anything til Monday. Monday came and I spoke with the service dept that morning and was advised they would get the board asap, but the cost is $300+. I said proceed. I got a call a couple of hours later and they got the part and would be over shortly to install. Casey came out that afternoon and prepared to install the board. Soon Casey told me that he made a mistake and the problem was a bad wire and not the board. This saved me several hundred dollars. As I told his manager, Casey could have simply installed the board and fixed the wire but his honesty wouldn’t allow him to do that. Sure it was a hot weekend, but we all make mistakes but not all of us admit them. Thanks Casey!!
This is a bitter sweet review for me! This is truly an amazing company! Some people may say I’m bias because I have worked for them for many years, but Colman Heating and air has always been there for me when I need them! Needed a shoulder to cry on, advice, and help for anything or obstacles that have ever been in my way! I will always be here to support Colman! No matter how close or how far I am!! You may ask, well if you love them so much why are you leaving? Because we are moving to a different state and with a heavy heart it really hurts me to say see you later! I love my job here!! Not may people can say they love their job! We truly have some great customers as well!! Yes, every job has their ups and downs, but when you have a job that is good to you and treats you like family you want to stay there forever!! Brought a new unit from them and the price they quoted was fair. The workers well friendly and professional, I even stepped out for lunch while they were working. Just want to thank Coleman Air and Heat for the support they gave me over the last couple weeks. I had a unique problem with the outside compressor would just turn on and stay on at night by Itself without the thermostat asking it to come on, but during the day it worked fine. This continued over three weeks Coleman technicians came almost every other day to try to solve the problem A few times they came at night to see the problem firsthand and try to fix it. Even the general manager came out numerous times to see if he could help fix the issue. With calls to Carrier air-conditioning and the Coleman team working together they tracked down the problem and repaired it. They always kept me informed of the progress and the office was always there to give me status and answered questions. Would recommend them to anyone who requires air-conditioning and heating Service.

Colman is willing to help others - I consider myself knowledgeable about air conditioner than an average people. I was trouble shooting a problem with my AC, I called several AC companies just to confirm my conclusion but no one want to help except Colman. Colman spent more than 10 minutes of their time to help me without asking for compensation.
We recently purchased a 20 year old house that has a heat pump system that had been installed by Colman a couple years earlier. On the day of closing the system failed, and the seller was very concerned about whether or not the closing could proceed. Steve Colman immediately had a crew out to examine the problem and it turned out to be an under-the-slab section of piping between the indoor and outdoor units. This was an original 20 year old section of piping and not something replaced when the new units were installed two years earlier. Even though it was old material, Colman treated it as if it were under warranty and quickly replaced it. As new owners of the house we will continue to use Colman for any air conditioning issues. I called Coleman around 1215 regarding an issue with my tenants furnace. By 1330 the technician was there, solved the problem, and was on his way to the next customer. That is great customer service!
Replaced a 10 year old Rheem system that was nothing but problems. Colman worked with me as I had to repair a problem with the 3 chase.Had a very professional installation by a very knowledgeable tech. So far I am very impressed with the quality of the Carrier equipment and feel it was worth the extra money it cost. Just hope I still say that in 10 years.The unit maintains the temperature much closer than the Rheem ever did.It is quieter and appears to be running less frequently.

Answered all my questions about status of HVAC unit during the service call.
