Ive been going here on and off since i was a child. Still the same love the small vibe, always friendly staff. Its unfortunate though that they cant make the previous years specials. Not knocking them just wish i could have had my smores blizzard this year lol.

Lovely young lady waited on me today. I was getting a small ice cream for my dog to celebrate his birthday. The line was very long when I arrived, but the three servers dispensed with it very quickly. Great, efficient, friendly service. And, the ice cream is really good, to boot!!

Always super friendly at the window and good vibes. Its DQ ice cream time, and its really difficult to mess that up, so count on getting what you expect with a smile! A little pricey for a quick cone, but that seems to be the trend everywhere...and if youre adventurous and like a good dip cone, now they have blue cotton candy dip. Its too sweet, but so cool to look at!

My husband and I had medium soft serve ice cream cones. Didnt realize that they were big. They were good.

This is my FAVORITE Dairy queen in CT. The people who waited on us were so polite and the place was spotless. They did a great job on my banana split, the banana were just right!!! My husband got a blizzard and it was so good with right amount of candy in it!!! I give it 5 stars and recommend if u are in Torrington, CT go to the Dairy Queen there & you will be as happy as we were!

My girlfriend and I decided to get some ice cream tonight, so we stopped at DQ. The line was about 4 people deep but moved fairly quickly. I got a cotton candy, and she got a peanut butter lover. They were both really good, although definitely not within the realms of my diet.

To be aware of, this is a seasonal Diary Queen, March through October, with a limited menu with no burgers or hot food baskets available. The ice cream is top notch, no complaints on the delicious DQ you have come to know and love. Walk up window with somewhat limited parking, best option to eat is a nearby park if you are looking for a leisurely summer time treat.

With everything going on with this world right now, you just look to be around loving, caring, compassionate people and I feel like Mike and Oliva which are the two workers who made ice cream cups for my guys and I are exactly that! I work for a group home in Torrington and with the virus going around, my guys are a little older in age making them more susceptible to catching it. They have been really sad about not being able to go out to work due to said virus. (GOD bless them they are REALLY sad about not being able to work) I felt that If I could just take them for a ride it would bring their spirits up and along the way who doesnt love ice cream?! so I called this particular DQ and explained my situation regarding my elderly individuals that I work for and they were MORE than accommodating. When I arrived, Mike, Olivia, and I had a short convo about everything goin on how it must be very difficult to try and just stay inside. I went to pay for the ice cream cups and they wouldnt accept my guys money for the ice cream. It melted my heart to know that they cared that much and thanked me for caring enough about my guys to wanna cheer up their spirits. Thats what makes this world keep spinning! THANK YOU MIKE AND OLIVIA! My guys and I thenk you very much for caring. THey definitely enjoyed the ice cream as well as I 🤗

Such a same they have to close down for half the year. Dairy Queen is my favorite ice cream in town. Modestly priced, lots of options, and served by the most friendly staff! So glad today is opening day!!

Torrington is a lot better than the winsted store.. they actually make the treats as the company says so.. winsted makes stuff however the person who is making it wants to make it... example buster bars are not supposed to look like silly bars and when you order a royal blizzard it is supposed to have a tube of cold fudge in the center... not a small blob of hot fudge....

Love this Dairy Queen! Staff is always friendly, and the ice cream is delicious. Love all the updating theyve done in the past year, adding seating and nice plantings. I live within walking distance of Carvel, and still prefer to drive to this Dairy Queen. The new Dreamsicle dip is delicious too! They take cards as well as cash for payment, just fyi. 😊

I clearly asked for a CHOCOLATE EXTREME BLIZZARD. And the lady taking my order has some type of hearing issue that when she heard me say my order, she had heard “chocolate shrimp” and replied “we don’t have shrimp”. so i’m very concernced for her hearing and the fact that she gave us some attitude as well. I KNOW YOU DON’T SERVE SHRIMP SO WHY WOULD I ASK FOR IT? AND ESPESCIALLY WITH CHOCOLATE!!

Update; some owners/mgrs claim to really care. They go over the top while a customer is present or the brass.Then theres the ones that have no knowledge of poor management. They never considered all the extra hours and work they put in. They never pay attention to the extra mile.Thats because it comes naturally. Its not taught. No OJT its just in their dna.The customers and employees at this Dairy queen are a fortunate bunch. Not only is the product excellent and produced in a really clean environment.They have an owner that just gets it. She cares. That effect is felt by all. So if you want to snack where the moral is always high. The treats are the same as the 1st one ever made. And you value clean stations. Stop in.This DQ is worth the ride.My apologies for my prior review, it was in haste.I failed to remember these are trying times for us all.

I always enjoy coming here and getting a reeses blizzard, Parking lot is a bit tight so watch out when you go in and out of it. you order from a window but I dont think there are any benches to sit at when you get your ice cream, so I usually just put the tailgate down on my truck.

This store continues to serve good old Dairy Queen ice cream while keeping its 20th Century character. Going to this store, when compared to others across the state and nation, is more than an ice cream stop but an experience which makes a reason for someone to go into downtown Torrington. Strong supporter.

If I was a DQ devotee, I would likely given them the full five star review. Their ice cream is good (love love love the Hawaiian Blizzard!) and the service is fast and friendly, but ya gotta enjoy your iced treat on the (usually sticky - it could be melted ice cream or it could be canine cologne) curb of their parking lot, as there is no indoor seating. And they close for winter - por que, papi???

This Dairy Queen is the old fashioned kind and we always love it. It is our family favorite.

Nice place to have a tasty treat. This Dairy Queen is ice cream only and closes for the season between November and March. Parking is available but is at a premium.
