This place is always so good! All their treats and drinks never disappoint me. My #1 recommendation is try their Japanese cheesecake and their Thai ice tea, both has never let me down and is consistent each time I go. The little chocolate mousse treat was nice and sweet and so smooth, nothing too different from a regular mousse. Anything else is tasty and a little more different than the average baked good. 4 stars cause the service can vary from time to time. But still worth it!
This is the place I go to for cheap, delicious pastry. Ive never been able to walk out of here with just one item. The prices of the are lower than those with similar products, and the pastries seem to whisper you know you want us. Do indulge yourself in their salted caramel coffees. They are delicious and worth every calorie.
So good! Wish I had stopped here sooner into my vacation so I can try more. Their vanilla latte is yummy as well as their red bean bun and cheese bread. The cheese bread is a balance of sweet and savory as it has cheddar baked on top and a center that has a layer of sweet cream cheese. I’ve never met a red bean bun I didn’t like and this was also delicious. This cafe is spacious so it’s easy to find what you want, check out and even dine in while easily social distancing. The employees were also friendly. I recommend giving it a try, you’re for sure going to find something you like.
My daughter brought me here...I was in bakery heaven! Everything was so good! I especially enjoyed the Rose Milk Tea. WOW!
Love this place! Always has hot fresh breads.
Great bakery, good stuff, good food, very clean store.all staff is very friendly great service.
Wide variety or different bread an pastries. They tasted amazing and had a great flavor. In particular I live their mango buns. My husband also loved the sausage bun. We tried a few different types of bread, the chiffon cakes, as well as some coffee and everything was tasty! Staff was helpful and polite as well.
I wasnt offered the chance to buy a bag to take my large order home, and the cashier didnt let me purchase one afterwards probably due to not wanting the CC fees on a $0.10 transaction. Luckily we were able to get a bag from a different shop. Ill probably not be back to this location since its a big trek back home. Also they were out of literally all utensils so BYOForks? But since we arrived within an hour of closing, that could have just been a method to shoo us away so they could clean early.
Visiting from TX, have never heard of this place before. Glad I went in for coffee! A little unusual from other bakeries, and just followed what customers ahead of me did, grab a white tray and tongs by the entrance.. make your choices, individually wrapped items.follow line to counter to order coffee. LOTS of choices! Everything I purchased was delicious! Line begins early though and is constantly moving!
Very lame place.First they made me the wrong drink, the lids did not fit on both cups and it spilled all over my car.
I come here every year now and pick out a different cake for my birthday... In the last 3 years I have never once been dissatisfied! So delicious, and they are beautiful as well. I cannot recommend this bakery enough. Very nice job!
A fine bakery, I bought pastry and artisan bread to go, which I have since consumed. The bread and pastry were quite good!
Im not that big of a carb fan, but I cant help but indulge when I visit this place! Theres not only sweet pastries- but savory ones too! I love the curry bun and the garlic bread! And their bubble tea is the best Ive ever had! Their tapioca for some reason is so good compared to other bubble tea places!
I adore their delicious buns. Favs include Berry Tale, the spirally milk bun thing, and a bunch of others I cant remember the names of! Ive also gotten a rose milk tea and some sort of strawberry tea, both of which were delicious. Im so happy I live so close and can stop by all the time! I always think oh Ill just get 2 or 3 then I cant stop myself from buying like 7 or more buns cause they have so many yummy types
Great variety of baked goods. The one I had was excellent. Customer service ok. Bathroom needs attention.
Amazing Bakery and Cafe they had a really good salted jasmine tea highly recommend.
Lots of fresh bread and bakery. They also have lots of cakes and drinks like tea, milk tea and coffee. I like sea salt coffee especially sea salt caramel coffee. Bread are super soft. Birthday cakes are ok too. When we go on weekend it was always super crowded and long wait. It takes quite a bit time to bag each bread in an individual bag. Some people do it really slowly and holding up the line. Going on weekday is so much better. Weekend after lunch time every time I went the taro buns and egg tarts were out :( weekdays are fine.
WHITE MILK TOAST IS AMAZING BUT THEY NEVER HAVE ANY
Been waiting in line for almost 30 minutes and was told they temporarily stopped making drinks because they were short of staff. There would be no problem if they had told me that before I getting in line.
Best sweet and savory baked goods that remind me of Japan
Always excited like a little kid when I get to 85! I just want to pick all the goodies and pastries. Absolutely love the sausage rolls. Hoping to find my all time favorite Guava cheese sandwich at my next visit!
They have great food and asian inspired pastries. We were lucky to visit it after 830pm and they had no line at that time. The selection was meager but everything that we tried was delicious. The hotdog cheese bread was sweet and savory. The next visit we take here we will definitely try new things.
Being out-of-state, I could not be there due to COVID restrictions and I wanted send good wishes to my relative so I placed an online order for cake for them pick-up. My relative was graduating at UW on the day of so I wanted it to be really special for him. All they had to do was to pick it up and I thought it would be great and a nice surprise. However, everything went downhill when the special day arrived. I was informed that they did not write the congratulations message on the cake which I understand if they simply forgot. To make matters worse, I later discovered that they even gave the WRONG cake. I ordered a mango cake and my relative told me that they got some strawberry chocolate cake and they did not enjoy it. I am out of words and was very disappointed on how this was all arranged. I felt terrible for trying to arrange this surprise failure and my relatives had to experience the worst on their special milestone. For those who are placing online orders, just be aware that this may happen and I do not want anyone to experience this.
Four stars for food and drinks. One star for organization and long waits. One would think that after opening 900 bakeries all over the world and 26 locations in the US, that the company would have a better idea on how to eliminate long lines. The long lines are due to the slow check out process. Even though there were only 12 people on front of me waiting to pay, it still took 25 minutes to get to my turn. They didnt open up the fourth register until the line reached the door. After paying, i then had to wait another 10 minutes for my drinks. Overall, i spent 40 minutes in the store, and that time should have only been 20. I really feel sorry for people who had to wait longer than that. Its really not worth it.Onto organization, 90% of the pastries did not have labels on them so i had no idea what i was buying. As for pastries, I like most of the pastries here. Theyre light easy to eat. I dont care too much for the savory ones as i find theyre often drier than the sweet ones. The drinks are great too.
Delicious pastry 🍰 youll keep coming back for more!!
Fresh breads and Cakes. reasonable price
This bakery is always a nice place to go to. Their boba is also good
I stopped by on a Saturday and left empty handed: not only that there was a long line at check out but also many of the shelves were out of stock. The variety (left) is significantly less than other 85Cs that I have been to.It is quite a trek to get here from the city, so not worth it if this is the norm at this location.
One of the very good bakeries I tried around Seattle. Baked stuff here isnt overly sweet and tastes delicious. Would recommend trying food here. Their coffee is good too.
I can never resist the Rose Milk Tea hot or iced. This time I purchased the sausage pastry. Both the regular and the spicy are very good.
Some of bake good arent amazing but some are life giving. I love the choco buns and the milk bread, there drinks are really good. Most things are $2 to $4 but If your really hungry its a very dangerous place to be.
It was our first time visiting and it was a great experience! The bread is so soft and fresh 🥰 There are many flavors to choose from as well. We ended up buying about $40 worth (they are great for breakfast on the go with a hot beverage) and even got some extra dessert from the case. I had the Mango Delight -- it was super light, refreshing, and fluffy. Definitely will be going back.
The customer experience is really bad! They let people wait outside in a long queue in cold weather. I am pregnant with more than 38weeks I waited and asked if I could just let my husband wait in the queue and I could wait inside to feel warmer. They said no I cannot let you in! The only reason is they think too many people inside, but at least 20 people has been out, but no one in the queue was allowed to get into it. Isn’t it ridiculous? It will be my first and last time to get into it, whichever it is yummy or not!!! And I finally get into it.do you think it is crowded?
Bakery items are great, but they need a better system to deal with the crowds. And because they specialize in Asian baked goods, Id like to think you can get what you need from many local businesses with our large Asian communities and neighborhoods. I waited 75 minutes to get in, then half an hour in line to pay.The tiramasu was made with sponge cake, not lady fingers...it tasted great (both regular and the lighter strawberry kind), but its not authentic in that regard.Tips: order ahead of you want a cake, or call to figure out what can be placed to avoid less wait time.If you dont want any choose your own items from the left, but cake items from behind the counter, go directly to the drinks only cashier to bypass the wait.It was worth one visit, but not worth the wait.Update: went a second time in August 2017.Busy, but no line out the door. Wouldve bought a cake, but headed for the airport.
It lives up to the hype! Really good pastries and desserts.
I just ordered a Seasalt Jasmine no sugar. Order No. 3036 2020/11/27. They didn’t put seasalt in it, only jasmine tea. I went back to the store, the staff even didn’t say sorry, just said she’ll give me seasalt. Then she opened the lid, left the lid on the counter, put seasalt in my cup and left, even didn’t give me a new lid and also didn’t put the old lid back to the cup. I had to follow her, asking for a new lid at least. Well, she gave one to my hand and left again. I’ve never had that bad service in US. I can understand today is Black Friday. But it’s not the first time I bought food in this store. Actually it was not much busier than normal. If she at least apologized for her mistake and told me today they are too busy, I would understand and took care myself. But, no, nothing.
In my experience they dont answer the phone towards closing and the posted 9pm closing time is incorrect. They actually close at 8pm.If they answered the phone I wouldnt have wasted my time driving to see.
Good bakery the prices kinds hight.
Always A sweet yummy store to stop by
Their selection has really gone down....I saw a sign that said there is limited ingredients availability, HOWEVER I do go in some days and their shelves are full of glorious colors of different flavors. Theeeen back to a lazy dry spell of only a hand full of fresh bread... this is really discouraging..I really have zero desire to drive there every week like I used to. Get back to consistency 85°, your customers will thank you.
Good place for hot and cool drinks
Id spend way to much money here if I had less self control.
Rude staff. Staff does not want to work. Too busy talking smack about the customers in Cantonese. Did your company hire you to gossip about customers? Corporate needs to re train workers in workers in customers services.
Enjoyed their food! Wished they were open also on Mondays and Tuesdays!:(😟
Only got to try four pastries and two drinks as we got there very late in the day but everything we tried was perfect. Light fluffy cakes, dense and chewy filled chocolate buns, mango panna cotta so fruity and creamy we could have eaten two, salted iced coffee was rich and strong, and the grapefruit green tea was refreshing! Ill be back.
Sometimes very crowded and can run out of items during lunch time but overall great food and selection
What happen to the 85c bakery in Tukwila lately???Yesterday stopped at the store and bought a birthday cake for a friend and a cup of coffee for myself. Not sure what happen to the managent of the store lately??? Last week many times were running out their basic needed stocks? The store were running out of paper bags for the breads? So, I had to buy a toll bag for my breads? Then asking for some napkins, and no napkins neither, the worker was searching everywhere for napkins?Yesterday, they were also ruuning out the cake cutters? Which it was always provided when you purchase a whole cake! The most unheard of it was yesterday, when I asked to put a bit whip cream for my coffee, the lady who was making the coffee said it will be an extra charge for the whip cream! What??? I have never heard of paying extra money for whip cream on the coffee? Before was never a problem at this store or at any other coffee shops? Not sure what happen to the store? Was that really a new store policy to charge customers for the whip cream on coffee Or just that lady was bullshiting to me?I have been a regular customer to this store ever since the store was opened! It was very disappointing yesterday. Is there a new management problem? Or really the store policy has been changed? For sure, I am not willing to go back again when the store continues running out their basic stocks or charge extra for the whip cream on customer s coffee!
Amazing pastries, hit or miss savory food, and ok boba. Sometimes they dont restock things very fast, came there around 4 (closing time is 8) and there were no longer Hokkaido chiffon cakes :(
Tastiest bread ever. Honestly love to buy bread from here cause its delicious and the service is excellent. I recommend to buy the Milk bread loaf to do some french toast, its amazing!!
Uber popular! Too much was I in a hurry to wait. 😔
So many delicious treats! I love the garlic bread, Mango creme brulee cake and the Mango roll the best. Everything is amazing!
Pastries are great and coffee was good. However, 2 stars for poor customer service. Asked for a small box and I’m staring at it on the shelf and was told “we don’t have small boxes”. Moved to pick up our coffee and asked once again, if I could have a small box. One of the employees named Tien, told me again they had no small boxes and I pointed one out to him. He then proceeded to tell me my pastries would not fit inside it. Even after explaining to him that they would fit, as I only needed to put in 2, he kept telling me they wouldn’t fit. Finally, I told him to give me a box so I could try for myself and GUESS WHAT?!? THEY FIT! It should not be that hard to get good customer service. People don’t visit your establishment for only good food, but for an overall great experience. Maybe a little reminder to employees that without customers, your job disappears.
Im not the biggest bakery person, but Ive driven past this place (and its infamous long lines) often enough to be intrigued. Fast-forward to a few days ago when I happened to be nearby right when they opened so I couldnt miss the opportunity to check it out. This is not your traditional bakery. Most of it is self-service. Though, true confession, it took me awhile to figure that out. Theres no signage or easy, step-by-step instructional video to get us newbies started. But I watched a couple of other customers who seemed to know what they were doing, then dove in to the baked goodness. The selection here is quite vast, some might say overwhelming. They have everything from bread to savory pastries to dessert items, all laid out attractively in brightly lit glass cases. As soon as you enter, you grab a large white tray and a pair of tongs, then enter the bakery area where the sky is definitely the limit. You can get one thing or you can get a hundred things. And each item is clearly priced so you know exactly what youre in for.I was just there for a breakfast snack, so I didnt get much. My selection was a bacon and cheese pastry, and a small milk tart. Again, observing the other customers, after I made my selection I walked to the front counter where there were clear plastic bags available to bag my items before purchasing. When I got up to the cash register, I asked if they could reheat my bacon pastry and was surprised that the answer was no. It didnt make a lot of sense to me that they would have plenty of seating to stay for breakfast, but not a way to heat up your breakfast pastry. So I paid and took my goodies back to the car, where I first bit into the bacon pastry. The pastry part itself was amazing. I was sad that the bacon was cold and lifeless, since I couldnt reheat it. The little milk tart was tasty as well. I will probably go back again and give these guys another chance, and knowing that I cant heat up a savory pastry will help me make different decisions the next time around. Plus I wont have to stand around wondering how it all works the next time.
Popular chain bakery centrally located. Location and service is clean and prompt. Selections include asian favorites with some modern twists. Coffee aint that bad either. Some favorites include their taro bread.
This place has some of the best bread Ive ever tasted. Try their white chocolate thick bread. We made french toast out of them. So good.
I would recommend the milk pudding
Great deserts. Love their drinks. Even have savory pastries.
By the time we arrived, I was just glad there was some Bacon n Cheese bread leftover for us! 🥓🧀🍞Thank you 85°C Team for doing your best! Looking forward to visiting again~ 🤓
Good Bread, try it once. I will keep my Mexican bread though, @la Chiquita in Renton
Open like 8 but still open late 8:15 no employer I ordered some coffee I take 10 min to served nada service sorry need more employees
Always great food! Loved how everything was packaged for the Corona virus. Service friendly!
I didnt hate it. Everything looked tasty.
To me it seems like every other bakery is adding an extreme amount of sugar to their baked goods, but not this place. Every time, I am in the area I need to pick up all kinds of exceptional goodies.
I dont like the food personally My wife does hows in the parking lot and in person hit my truck damage was minor so I gave them a free pass have a good day stay safe
I hate lines but I love cake more
Wonderful place to get some fresh bread or pastries
I love this place and Im glad we have one at South Center mall.
This is 1 of the top favorite bakery in my life.
