This....this....ohy goodness. If you are within 30 minutes of this place, it is worth making a trip. The cookies, the ice cream, the customization: womderful on all counts. This is REAL ice cream combined with perfect soft cookie for the ultimate experience.

LOVE this place! The staff is so friendly, helpful, and quick. They work together very well. I love customizing my own ice cream sandwiches. Their cookies are so good! (Red velvet is my favorite.) They also have great sundaes and ice cream in general if you’re not into ice cream sandwiches. One of my favorite stops in Tuscaloosa!

They have gluten free so I got the chocolate chip with vanilla and it didnt disappoint 😋

Despite the rain and bad weather, we made our way over.They were quite busy - who wouldnt be, with free ice cream? Still, the service we received was nothing short of smiley and pleasant. Having been in that overwhelming service situation myself, I really admire that.The shop itself is tiny and super cute. You can see the display full of fresh cookies and ice cream. The colors are bright and welcoming, and you can even kinda see where all the baking magic goes on.I went pretty simple - I got a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream, and added a chocolate chip cookie to go with it. The sandwiches look delightful, but Id need to split it with someone, and my boyfriend is on a diet.The scoop they gave me was very generous! The chocolate was decadent, creamy, and rich. A perfect dark chocolate! The cookie was also, basically, perfect. Ever so slightly crunchy at the edges, and soft and chewy at the center. YUM! My only wish is that they would have heated the cookie so the chips would have melted, but they were so busy I didnt ask.The combinations here are endless, especially with changing flavors of the month. I absolutely cannot wait to come back and try something different!

Everything about this place rocked. I had never been and it was my last night in town, we rushed over and got there pretty close to closing time, but the two working were really nice and even let us eat inside. To top it all off, the cookies & ice cream were delicious. All around pleasant experience.

A delightful little Ice Cream Boutique located at Midtown Village in Tuscaloosa Alabama.

Was supposed to be open until 11pm. We showed up at 10:45 and the employee said they had put everything away. Very disappointing for someone out of town wanting to try a unique place. Change your hours if you want to close early on a Friday night.

My experiences at baked bear has not been the best. The workers are very rude and they seem like they don’t want to serve you. One time they put the wrong toppings on my sandwich and instead of making me a new one they moved the sandwich over the trash can and scraped it off(as you see in the picture below) which was very disgusting. Maybe it’s just the night crew but they make me feel very unwelcomed. I felt so uncomfortable every time I went there. I will never step foot in there every again.

Went by this morning for the first time. Athen was great, she was super helpful, and answered all of our questions with a great attitude.The desert was amazing and a little pricey but definitely worth it. Also super sleek, and modern restaurant experience. Will be back without a doubt!

Two sweet bread type pieces, and delicious frozen cow juice.The bear batter ice cream is blue like an October sky, and most excellent by far my all time fave. When I go, I always do a chocolate chip cookie and a funfetti cookie as the vehicles for moving cold tasty delight into my mouth. The restaurant is clean, and so is the bathroom. The staff is friendly. They have a rewards card. Ten sandwiches and the next ones free which is neat. Good place to take your kids to get hopped up on the sugar rush of a lifetime. Or just to cheat on ya diet.

Ice cream was descent but I felt rushed. Looking at all the pics of stuff online and I ended up with 2 scoops in a cup. Lame.

Such a cool idea! I got the combo (cookie of choice (I chose chocolate chip) and brownie) with the Bear Batter ice cream. Cake batter is my favorite ice cream flavor, but it freaked me out a bit when he started scooping the blue one 👀 Anyway, I then got it hot pressed and had hot fudge on top. I don’t really thing the hot press did much since the ice cream makes the cookie and brownie so hard right away. Other than the consistency, it was very good! I couldn’t finish the ice cream so I ended with eating the cookie and brownie and threw the rest away. Definitely share this with someone else. I like the cookie, ice cream, and topping varieties a lot and everyone was very nice! Would of course come here again if I lived here.

My husband, son and I went there today and ordered three bear bowls, two brownie and one cookie. This was our first experience with the Baked Bear. The brownies were dry and tasted stale because they had been sitting on the warmer for a very long time. The service was ok. Not polite and inviting, but not rude. We paid nearly $25 for the three and threw away about $20 worth of that bc it tasted yuck. The ice cream was pretty good, but at $7 per bowl it really should be fresh and served with a smile.

My gripes dont revolve around the cookies or ice cream. Those tasted fine.$6 for a sandwich...but a cookie costs $1. So youre paying $4 for the ice crem. They give you a lot of ice cream! Too much, in my opinion! You cant eat it like a sandwich because there is too much ice cream. Why not offer a lower priced version w/ two scoops of ice cream instead of 5??The music....the music. It was so bad. I felt like I was in a six flags commercial from the early 2000s. How can you guys play that stuff on loop 24/7? We found ourselves hurrying for the exit because we couldnt subject our ears to any more of it.

Cookies arent done enough for my liking and I think its a little over priced for ice cream. Customer service is good though and thats a plus for me.
