Stopped in for something to make the purchase for the coffee trail. Staff was courteous the place was clean. They had everything we wanted. And everything that would rate a five-star experience. I would definitely come back if I lived closer. But I would have no problem stopping if I was in the neighborhood...
Always good coffee. Nice patio and it had stopped raining, as it is uncovered. Was nice to sit out and enjoy the fall air with a great cup of coffee.
Delicious coffee, which includes a wide variety of kinds: cold brew, nitro(2 kinds!), regular brew, lattes and Im sure a few I missed. Very friendly staff also! Definitely worth the stop.
Staff: always friendly here.Space: theres a huge amount of seating, especially outdoors. This location has some great character inside.Menu: good variety. Could always be better for tea drinkers like me, but it is a coffee place...Huge bonus is that theyre a locally owned business making an impact globally.
The drinks taste great, the environment is welcoming, the service is adequate, BUT I have gotten sick from their drinks multiple times now and so has my husband. Im not sure what it is, maybe improper refrigeration? But as much as Id love to go back here I am not spending another Saturday in my bathroom. Sorry guys.
My drink was good but fairly heavy with dairy and sweetener, honestly. I struggled to find the undertones and whole flavor of my espresso as a result. I also found the scone to taste sort loveless and bland. I am not proud to admit I eat at Panera once in a while but even they have better scones, same with Starbucks. I think this place has lots of potential and deserves your business but I think and I hope they [should] change and tweak the menu just a tad. Anyhow I’ll try them again and maybe edit this review. It’s a fun place to sit and talk about life.
Great place to get locally roasted coffee (most if not all from smallhold farmer relationships) and pastries. Fun atmosphere and pleasant staff. Highly recommend!
Nice place. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Extraordinary coffee cake!
Awesome little coffee shop. Stopped when we were in Columbus dropping our daughter off at CCAD. We will be back to visit her and will go for coffee again when in the area.
Clintonvilles Crimson cup is our favorite Coffee Shop in Columbus with the Best little patio for me & my pup 💜🐾 They Absolutely LOVE dogs!!! They offer free WiFi and outlets to recharge if needed inside. The parking lot is pretty small but it works ☺️Our go to is always the Pup cups for my girl & Cold brew & Green tea for me !
Superior coffee. 2nd only to my King Starbucks.
Great little coffee shop. Well run.
I love the employees here! they are always so sweet, accommodating to my personal tastes, and make delicious coffee. a great study spot or place to meet friends. they’ve also got a little drive through situation set up with a food truck, which is a great COVID-19 accommodation!
Coffee is better than Starbucks, but still not worth the price.
Ordered a Maple Bourban iced nitro...$5.00...mostly ice and tasted like watered down coffee...no hint of maple flavor. What a rip off. Was almost home before I sipped it otherwise I wouldve asked for a remake.
This company really cares about feedback. They addressed an issue I experienced in their policy, and they called me to make sure my feedback was hear. Pretty great response by management to match the good coffee.
Everything is original and so well made. Its always a treat to come by here.
Adorable coffee shop, friendly baristas, plenty of outlets to study, neighborhood vibe.
Quick fast friendly service, I felt like I was cheating on my normal CC on high st though
Try the Ethiopian coffee! It has a surprising and nice, naturally occuring strawberry essence to it. (Note, this is drip coffee - not served Ethiopian style.) Its their most expensive coffee but you can taste why! Good! The service was super friendly and helpful and I like the style of the interior. My only negative comment is that they mostly have metal chairs that are uncomfortable on your butt and back. But they also have bar stools and a couple large comfier looking chairs in front of a fireplace. So if you can, perhaps try to sit in one of them.
Great service And I absolutely love their coffee!
Quite a cozy coffee shop with a lot to choose from. I had the Nitro Cold brew Cocoa Nib and I was very pleased with it. The baristas were nice and very helpful with describing the variety of options. I enjoyed sitting near the fireplace on a chilly afternoon. The free WiFi however forces you to like a Facebook page and verify that you have done so before it becomes functional - a bit disappointing for something that is used by people passing through town. Likely done to boost social media presence.
The rose chai was tasty! And the service was delightful!
Great coffee, but mask police. Will take business elsewhere.
Pandemic and cold weather brings out the worst of this place. Luckily lot of great coffee places close by.
Great coffee, great atmosphere
Great Columbus-based coffee roaster with excellent service and an outstanding product!
The crimson mocha is the best around, but some of the down menu drinks arent as good as local competitors.
Love this place. Coffee is amazing. Veggie breakfast sandwich is amazing. Staff is amazing !
Great coffee, good atmosphere, delicious pastries. Very friendly staff.
Best frozen drinks around. The matcha latte is my favorite
These people are AMAZING.I had somewhat had a bit of a runaround trying to procure two types of teas that they had been out of stock of, the Wednesday I went first. The guy there, after complimenting the purse that I hand made (which was awesome, I loved him for that! 😊☺️) explained to me that they get their shipments on Mon, Weds, Fri, and so if probably be wisest to call back in the following Monday, that theyd probably be back in stock by then.So I called back Monday and the guy (coincidentally the same person) remembered me, and gave me the unfortunate news that they hadnt yet been restocked 😥, but that he was near positive that by that Wednesday these two types of teas should be available.I was busy that Wednesday, so called on Thursday I believe. The (different) guy I spoke with explained that the PRE-PACKAGED stuff still wasnt in stock, but that they actually had all of their teas available for bulk purchase at any time, and that he could measure some out in a separate bag, and that thats always a possibility for anything they have/carry.So he measured some out for me...Then came the best part:He had picked up on me mentioning that I was just beginning to explore teas, and therefore he talked with me for like 5 minutes or so, TEACHING me about how the one tea (Earl Grey Lavender) should be steeped at a higher temperature for a longer time, meanwhile the green tea (Jasmine Dragon Pearl) could be stepped not only for a lot shorter, but needed to be fine way cooler. He even went on to explain that some tea can be steeped twice, and that in traditional Chinese ceremonies or practices, that some folks discard the first steep batch, and prefer the second.I hadnt known ANY of this, but it REALLY helped me make sense of a lot of things, and to feel WAY more comfortable and confident in how to do things right at home.He also encouraged me to experiment with my own flavor preferences of how much of each tea to use, for my flavor preferences. I very much liked this empowerment of just because other people generally make their teas this way doesnt mean you have to follow the prescriptive rules. Try other things out and see what you like! (mainly regarding amounts used, and whether I liked twice-steeped teas)I asked him whether he could write/pen those steep times and temperature recommendations into the bags for me, which I very much appreciated, so I would forget one I got home and a few days had gone by.He also told me that he gave me a bit extra of each for free, for my hassle/runaround, which was SUPER nice and unexpected, because I hadnt even once made a fuss or complained or been anything that would indicate that I could have been frustrated about it.That is to say, that added touch of the trying to make it right made me fall even more in love with the people than I already was.So, from beginning to end, everyone was extremely courteous and respectful, and didnt just do, but helped *educate*, to help me feel more confident, and theyre just basically all around fantastic in my book, from what I experienced. This all to say that I will DEFINITELY be returning there, and I would encourage others to support a Columbus-based business similarly.A+
Great service. Consistently great cup of coffee.
Always friendly, always a good cup of coffeeNeed a shop in Grove City!
Best local cup of coffee ☕
I frequent both UA and Clintonville-The coffee portions are not as they used to be.I was in Clintonville this morning. I mentioned this very thing and they took my coffee back through the drive through. As I watched them remake it, they took the old whipped cream off and then added more whipped cream then before.Wow!
It would be a very romantic spot for couples.
Love this local coffee shop
Good coffee
It was great :)
What a neat place to get a morning cup of coffee.
Theyve figured out how to serve during COVID. Go here and be impressed with their system and their coffee.
Great coffee and service!
Great coffee and amazing staff.
They have a makeshift drive thru recently added so that you can have your order brought out to the car. Quite convenient.
Fresh flavorful small batch coffees, from friendliest staff ever, guaranteed greatness from 6a to 6p.
Great to find a shop that takes actual coffee seriously. Nice selection of pour-overs plus the usual espresso based drinks. Small batch roasted coffee is what I really enjoy. Had the Kenya AA was delicious
Very good coffee.
The best coffee in town, hands down. Their frozen drinks are my favorite. The employees are always friendly and helpful, too.
Crimson Cup is decent. They dont really do anything better than the other coffee shops you can find in Columbus, but youre still supporting a local business and its probably going to be better than Starbucks.
We usually get bagged coffee from here to last us a few weeks - Armandos blend is the steady - but every time I get a latte its always just right and clearly very good quality coffee, not like your *ahem* chain joints..
Always great service. Worth the drive from Hilliard
Omg amazing espresso 💛
The mayan mocha is DIVINE!
In fairness, Im more of a tea person, so cant comment on their coffee. The tea selection is a little limited. More importantly, it feels like a chain coffee shop inside. Which it is. Little character. Hard red chairs at the tables. Nothing original about the atmosphere at all. Given the many choices in town with more personality, this place better make darn good coffee! 😁
Good service and good quality drinks. We visited after the Upper Arlington July 4th parade. They were appropriately staffed for the large crowds, letting the line move quickly. Staff was also very pleasant.
Friendly fast service and the coffee is amazing. The donuts are out of this world.
Cute coffee shop, great tasting coffee, I would skip the breakfast sandwich next time, they were nothing special, but the coffee is worth the stop!
This is just a wonderful alternative to Starbucks. The coffee is good and the setting is nice. Its always good to support someone who is a little smaller and has great coffee!
A very good place with excellent service
Trendy little coffee shop that really wants to be a hipster haven - but ends up primarily catering to business professionals and gossipy older women. Good selection of beverages and accessory treats. Prices appeared fairly comparable to Starbucks. Plenty of seating either at the bar or at tables or even in a couple of arm chairs reserved for mocha sipping intellectuals exchanging grooming tips.
Fast friendly service. Great espresso and a great price....thumbs up for value. Very quaint, and relaxing atmospheres. Wonderful aromas... Will be back.
Really cute coffee shop, great atmosphere!
This coffee shop rivals Starbucks. I highly recommend it.im a fan of there black coffee but Ive had there lattes, caps, espressos and its all good. I try very hard to leave informative reviews, If this was helpful please let me know by giving me a thumbs up
Good coffee, amazing atmosphere and theyve got parking up front. My only complaint is how they serve their coffee in to-go paper cups even when I specifically told them Ill be having my coffee here.Edit: FYI, if you bring in your own to-go mug/thermos they will give you a slight discount on your coffee! Kudos on that, Crimson Cup!
I went the day their espresso machine was broken. They said that they were trying a different espresso for their drinks so I ordered a mocha. It tasted like warm milk. I have had their products before and they were good but just not this time.
Love Crimson Cup! This spot in particular has been our favorite recent find. Great customer service every time and the coffee is always great. This is also a great spot for meetings and work. Nice and clean atmosphere.
Nice, cozy atmosphere. The best Matcha Green tea latte ever :)
Excellent coffee and service. The baristas are quite knowledgeable about the drinks they are serving and they make a mighty fine cup of coffee. I love being able to go to a good local coffee shop!
The service is really good and the staff are nice as well but some of the tables are really wiggly and that makes it hard to study. Every time it wiggles I get a heart attack cause my drink is going to spill on my notes or something. Other than that, I really like the style of the place and would recommend.
They serve Crimson Cup at my work and I was dying to see what the original store was like. The counter server was very brief and very uninterested in helping me. I got a donut and it was stale adjacent. the store was busy with a lot of people in it very comfortable setting. This is my favorite coffee in the world.
I love this place ! I go out of my way to get their iced mocha. Everyone is always friendly and the service is quick and efficient. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!
Loved the coffee and the fancy drink choices. They have the best buckeyes too
Crimson Cup mocha freeze on a warm day cant be beat. Took home a couple bags of ground coffee and some whole beans and it is excellent brewed at home as well.
The cold crimson cup is absolutely the best coffee/treat you can find in Columbus!!
A modern look with the local coffee shop community feel. Friendly staff and a clean space. Offers a wide range of beverages- Americanos are competitively superior to the famous coffee chain. Nice study areas with plenty of outlets and seating.
I like local coffee shops, but sometimes Crimson Cup feels too much like that other place that is on every corner. The coffee is decent, but Ive had better roasts from other local shops. Its good though, dont get me wrong. Just nothing blows me away.
Love love love!
The third place on my Columbus Coffee Experience in the past three days. I visited this place today after the Rock City Church service and read my German magazine with a coffee and a double chocolate chip muffin. The muffin was really moist and went well with the drink. It is a popular location and I can see why!
Neat atmosphere. The Crimson mocha was so very delicious. The staff is super friendly as well.
5 stars for friendly and prompt service. 0 stars for the coffee. I ordered an iced latte and it came to me with one shot in 16 ounces. The milk was barely tinted. When I asked the barista if I could pay for another shot, he was so nice and comped it, but sadly the cold, refrigerated espresso came from a pitcher and was watered down and tasted burnt. I took two sips and that was it. I came here as an alternative to Starbucks, but sadly won’t be back.
Love the cinnamon sugar flat white with oat milk! Great drink!
Always awesome. They have the best pourovers and the New Orleans cold brew is simply the best around. They have taken time with me to educate me on how to get the best out of my coffee brewing at home
Good coffee and I enjoyed the atmosphere sitting around reading a book.
A fantastic cold brew. Great spot for a quick meeting or hangout
Great service in store and in drive-thru. Coffee quality is much better compared to the popular chain store.
Wonderful shop on the corner of a busy intersection with friendly, young, and personable staff. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and the music is confortably low-volume at all times.Only down side is being on that busy intersections corner. Traffic can be a bit noisy at times, and getting into the parking lot (suitably sized) can be troublesome.
Crimson Cup is a very unique coffee experience in the city. They make a point to work with smaller coffee bean farms, and source some truly exceptional beans for their coffee. They have some of the best cold brew in the city, and even put some of their creations on nitrous.
The Winters are cold, Summers blistering, and each day feels insufferably difficult. Their iced teas are great with fruit syrup and Im a huge fan of the color brews and muffins. The staff are fantastic and very cool.
Very cool little coffee shop. Space to sit inside and out, just down the street from some more shopping, and some good choices for coffee and snacks. Came during lunch and quite a few people are eating. (Unlike Starbucks)
I stop into Crimson Cup between 2 and 4 times a week at the UA store. It is a wonderful space. The baristas are wonderful: very friendly and engaging. I love their pour overs, muffins and teas, especially. The manager, Brandi is a joy: shes a hard worker and has a keen sense of humor. The owner, Greg, is friendly and approachable. I highly recommend Crimson Cup to anyone who loves coffee and ambience!
