I feel like I just got “Pretty Women”ed by just going in to see if they had any of the Mickey themed items that Pottery Barn sells. The women was nice enough to go look in the back but was judgmental and rude about something the store SHE works in sells. It’s not hard to nicely say that they don’t have it in their store but how dare I want to buy something your company DOES carry. She insisted it was only going to be in the kids store, but last time I checked, they don’t sell kitchen wear or bar kitchen carts to children.

Condescending staff, rude. Because I have a medical condition (which I had explained before to them) which worsens with a mask, the manager refused to assist me or allow me to stay in the store. The medical exemptions for face masks in the State of Alabama are LAW by Executive Order of the Governor, and posted clearly online. I shared this information but they still refused, which put them as non-compliant with AL Law. They said to be able to pick out a sofa, I had to come in before opening or after by appointment. I graciously agreed to that, although the comments were public and snarky Just so you know we will not be able to be near you. There were multiple other Customers who were forced to observe. The Manager made a show of backing up from me, so as not to be close. I responded light-heartedly, we scheduled a time and I left. Within an hour or two the Manager called me at home and said she would not be able to help me in person as promised; that it would have to be virtual. I told her I didnt understand, and asked if I could speak with someone else. She said she would have her District Manager call me. She then called me back shortly and said the District Manager said to call Customer Service to help me--not any specific person--just Customer Service in general. What could Customer Service do about a store? What is wrong with this store? Who acts this way? I called The Pottery Barn in Nashville said they said they would be happy to help me. The Birmingham store needs some serious help. As best as I can tell, Pottery Barn corporate in San Francisco has told their stores that the law in California usurps the laws of any other states, when it comes to the mask mandate. That is actually false and illegal. All that aside, the worst of the experience was the horrible way I was treated by the Salesperson, and then the Manager. It was clear that their intent was to shame and intimidate me in front of the other Customers and Staff. The situation could have been handled as an aside conversation, but it was not. The worst customer service ever.

Loveddddd them they are so nice and helpful also they have a GREAT eye, I literally walked in not knowing what I wanted and they put it together what I needed better then I would have myself OR ANYWHERE ELSE I have been searching for a dinning set for 2 weeks, I wish came here in the first place #QUALITY

If I could give this company a zero I would. We registered here for our wedding which was a massive mistake. Difficult with returns. Difficult to get help in the store. When we decided we wanted to get a coffee table with our gift cards. Coffee table was on sale, great! It then added $200 to be shipped (1.5 month later). When I tried to use our gift cards it limited me in how many I can use (10). If you have your gift cards... you should be able to use them without a limit. I will never purchase from them again.

Im being generous with the rating. The store has ppl who were not helpful and actually told me find it myself. All guys working that day and two ignored while one never asked me to help look up ordering it. Missed out on a big sale snd realizing PB has gone down in quality. Been customer for over 30 years. Ive been waiting on an order online for 3 months that keeps getting cancelled. Save your $$ and buy elsewhere w local businesses.

Placed an order for a bed for my daughter on September 24th of 2020. It was to be delivered on November 15th. Everything was great until they did not have the dresser to complete the order. The bed could not be assembled with out it. So I now have large boxes in my daughters room not to mention she’s sleeping on the floor.....Fast Forward it now December I called customer service and they forgot to place the order for the replacement dresser. Pottery Barn assures it will be here December 29th. So now we will not have my daughters bed for Christmas. Longer story short we still have a room full of boxes and no dresser. It is January 6th 2021 and customer service is zero help. So I hope this reaches whom ever is in charge and you reach out to me. Order number is 303370170738. Please use Pottery Barn carefully because it has not been good for me. I would definitely shop around before making my purchase at Pottery Barn. ****Update**** Pottery Barn Finally deliver my missing dresser but, not before telling me they would not assemble. So once again I spent a hour talking to different agents with little to no help. Finally hours later the came back to assemble the product. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ORDERING. Customer service is the worst. This Pottery Barn experience has been the absolute worst. I order a bed as a Christmas present in September or 2020 and I am still unsatisfied in the middle of February of 2021. It’s almost a week since the bed has been delivered and assembled and still no one has reached out to follow up on this disaster of a buying experience. Absolutely the most ridiculous place trying to get someone on the phone to figure out why our order was just randomly “ cancelled” and wanting to know where our money is! Have been on the phone HOLDING. For one hour and forty-five minutes! This is absolutely pathetic and we will NEVER buy from here AGAIN!

Pottery Barn is fun to shop in, especially at Christmas. Although the furnishings they offer tend to be a bit generic and look like what would be used to stage a home to appeal to the masses. In other words...it is a bit boring.

I have been waiting almost 2 MONTHS for a suitcase that I ordered for my son for Christmas. My Acct keeps getting hit with pending charges for this product and the delivery date of the suitcase keeps getting pushed back!! At this rate I WILL NEVER GET WHAT I ORDERED! Customer Service is absolutely NO HELP and could care less about their customers. Horrible company!!!!

The staff is quite unfriendly. The merchandise is wonderful of course. I am a big fan of the Pottery Barn look. However I would not purchase anything in a store where the staff would not greet you or try to assist you in any way.

I went in to look for some place settings and silverware. I was in the store for I know over 30 minutes going back and forth between the dishes and the silverware and not one store employee asked if they could help me. At one point I even stood close to the check out counter and was still ignored. At one point 4 of the employees were standing beside the bed display talking to each other. One of the male employees was evidently trying to be funny when someone called over the phone but I found him to be very rude and inappropriate. Very disappointed in the staff at this Pottery Barn.

My initial impression of the store was fair, having been a long time customer in Atlanta. My last visit was horrible. We were totally ignored, even while standing at the register, then when someone finally did ask if we needed assistance, it was obvious we were a huge inconvenience. She was rude and condescending. If I want something from Pottery Barn, I will pay the extra for shipping. I doubt the Summit will get my money again.

My wife is a fan of pottery barn. We just had a horrible experience with a purchase of a sofa. We purchase an exspensive sofa that we were told 3 months and it arrived 5 months after purchase. I would call asking for info on when it would arrive but I never did revieve any quality feedback or return calls. I just took it upon my self to call very 2 weeks after it’s failed due date, till it arrived. The sofa is nice but their service after the purchase was horible.They gave my wife a promotion when we bought the sofa for 300 dollars to spend on future purchase. This had nothing to do with the late arrival of the sofa but just a promotion they have. When the sofa arrived my wife went to spend that promotion and she was informed that it was pass due and the promotion had respired. Poor business that time was an issue for using their promo but was not an issue when my sofa took 5 months to arrive.

I shop pottery barn often, but not at this location. Will not be returning. The associate provided good customer service, however, the manager provided terrible service. Maybe the person was just having a bad day, but still...at least be pleasant and try not to insult the customers.

Have bought several pieces of furniture here and the staff has gone out of their way to help/make sure it matches. I have shopped all over for furniture and ended up just leaving and going to PB at the Summit to buy from them. April, Cookie, and Angie are my favorites.
