Its a publix like they all are but the experience waz effortless and VIP but I didnt notice anyone trying hard. The store here is just different. We left happy and elated instead of tired of shopping.

This is my favorite Publix in Birmingham. They have a better selection of products than some of the other stores in the Hoover area. They have a good selection of teas and probiotic drinks. It might be because its across the street from the most expensive gym in town? Either way, it is great 👍

Always smiling faces from the time I enter the front doors, while I am shopping, and during checkout process. I usually decline to have my groceries taken out because I normally have others behind me that may possibly need the help more than I do. They usually have all I need and if they dont they will help get that item in or let me know when it should be arriving. Very clean and all around great place to shop.

Publix a great store close by my house do my daily shopping

I shop often at Publix and want to get this problem fixed so I can give a 5! The bakery messes up the pies! I keep telling them about it but it doesnt change. The pies (the small 3-4 serving pies) that should have only one crust (like dutch apple pie) have a second crust under the wonderful crumbly stuff that never bakes (because it is under the crumbly good stuff) and so it stays raw! Today I gave up and bought a two crust peach pie. But...no peaches, an apple pie instead! ☹️. The not a peach pie was at a different store.

I love Publux as a chain and it is easily the grocery store that I frequent the most. Only issue is this location must have a problem rotating inventory because I have gotten plenty of items here only to realize it was expired when I got to my apartment. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and most of the time I have a good experience but the amount of times I have had to return something because it expired two months before a bought it brings the rating down.

Went for less than 10 items and Publix was out of 3 of them. Publix needs more competition

Several staff members cheerfully greeted me and/or offered to help me while I shopped. The store felt clean and professional. Publix is great!

Customer service is not what used to be, half of their stock is gone, the buy one get one items are a scam to get you in the door, similar to black Friday sales, they only have enough of each bogo for one customer to receive the deal, no rain checks, mgmt doesnt care, two cashiers working 10 item and less registers as lines flow deep for full carts. Now time to head to Walmart to do an exact price comparison list, maybe we can save money. Get better customer service and self check out.... update.... Walmart about 15-20 dollars cheaper based on what we got, produce wasnt as good looking, target was about 10 dollars cheaper with better produce than Walmart.... conclusion, Publix is not needed anymore....heck impossible meat at Publix is around 10 dollars, Walmart same size 5.56 and target 6.49....

They have the amazing customer courtesy, friendly atmosphere,and quick check out. Always willing to help. I love this Publix.

No problems with store or employees BUT I do get frustrated that so much money is being solicited for useless charities--I have contacted corporate and asked that they research these non-profits which are very profitable for only their CEOs and CFOs. Not hard to find truthful numbers. I donate a lot of money to charities that are worthwhile but so many of these are totally wasteful. Employees are clueless.

Kira in the deli was awesome today. I asked her how she liked her sandwich and she made one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had from Publix. Cant tell you how much I appreciate her and my experience today.

It appeared to be a Target with expensive groceries. They had a lot of things, but I dont pay Target prices.Their ice cream for pints is at $4.29.

This place, the fried chicken at the deli is disgusting, salty, no crunch… Sides are terrible.

Great store that has alot of items you can find. Usually stocked pretty well . Service friendly, well balanced area.. the only thing that stops this from being five stars is the Deli needs improve me or service here and there but the rest of there staff pulls through.

I had the best Deli associate serve me Monday evening. This is the first time I walked away with freshly sliced deli meat and no aggravation with how slow they were or an not wanting to be there slicing deli meat attitude. She was friendly, quick and efficient tending to me as well as 3 others that walked up to place an order. So refreshing! I hope shes there the next time I go to get deli meat.

Pickup order was ready on time. Found everything I needed.

5 star customer service

Overall the staff is pretty helpful and friendly, however, as an Instacart shopper who is on a timed schedule, this location is extremely hard to work with. They always have items off the shelves because they simply cannot keep items stocked on the shelves. Im not sure if its because they are shorthanded or need to hire or what.... there is no excuse for not having any Rotisserie chicken ready and available at 12:15pm... there was none ready at the beginning of my 40 item shop and I am still having to wait an additional 10 minutes after being finished shopping for every other item.... dont count on this location to have your items ready or available.

Employees are always very nice. And this store has great access to Cahaba River Rd., so if you live over there, there is no need to get on Hwy 280 and deal with traffic. That makes it very convenient. The pharmacy is also very efficient.

Incredible Publix. By far the most friendly. Very clean. Great selection and plenty of aisles open to check out speedily. All other Publixs should take note on how this location is operated as this one is operated. I have only been once as it is out of my way but I would definitely say it is worth the extra time to go to this location.

Ive just moved here to Vestavia Hills section of Birmingham from Hilton Head SC and this is the closest grocery store. They are so nice and I LOVE that you can still have your groceries brought to your car. If I ask at come of the other chains, there is a heavy sigh and eye roll of I can get the service. The young man who brought my groceries out today was so nice and polite! I think this place is great...clean and easy to get in and out. Thanks!

As I read recent posts it says that the store was well stocked, but when I went to complete my big shopping list, the store shelves wasnt stocked good enough. They were out of quite a few items such as the 150 load of arm&hammer sensitive skin 2x detergent, distilled deer park water, and Nutri grain Natures Own Butter Bread. Which made my job harder due to working for a shopping app. That pretty much decreased my stars because the shelves wasnt stocked. Other than that GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE was given personally.

A bit pricey

I’m wondering who’s over the deli now? The last few times we have got food for lunch it’s been disappointing...either they don’t have the items we ordered...they don’t get the order correct...the food is not ready (even when we call in advance). And the quality of the food isn’t up to par. It seems to me they are not taking pride in the food or customer services anymore. I know this isn’t Publix standards and we are very disappointed at the customer service we have gotten from the deli lately.

Really nice. Clean and uncrowded. Most people dont know its here. If you need to save only buy on sale, because it can get pricey, but in general you get what you pay for.

Not typical service experience . Shopped meat case extensively meat manager was to consumed with his and a grocery clerks agenda, never said a word . Produce and bakery were accommodating . Meat dept looked very picked over . We stood at the sub area for a bit, could have had more than 1 person present. We will remain loyal and shop from Nashville to Venice Fl as we travel ..

I had to return a couple of items that I had gotten for someone I sit with and I felt that they thought I stole them. I did have my receipt. There return policy is no questions askedbut that was not the case it was more like 101 questions asked. For crying out loud it was a big thing of womens pads(2) . but besides that store was nice and clean.

Clean store and well stocked. The only reason for two stars is every single time we ask for a sample of chicken for our kids to try they act like we asked for the Taj Mahal to be moved, unlike other publix that do a sweet job of offering a chicken sample. Go to the publix on Overton road, they have the nicest staff.
