I hardly ever write reviews unless Ive had a terrible experience.Everything was great my first time here. I was greeted and treated fairly and sent home with two pairs of glasses. I was offered the warranty for both the frames and glasses. I was told that should anything happen within the warranty period, we will replace them. So being the accident prone person I am, I agreed to it.Fast forward two months and I need my lenses fixed. And they tell me I have to pay $48. Its not a lot, but that wasnt clarified when I agreed to pay for this. I was thinking of bringing my father here for some glasses, but after this I guess well be going somewhere else. Lets shoot for a little honestly next time. I had heard a lot of negative things about this place, but I gave them a shot thinking maybe they misunderstood something or just had crazy standards. But as I waited to get helped I heard the other associate tell another customer the same thing about the warranty.
Nathan helped me out and did an outstanding job of scheduling follow up exams, getting my new glasses to me and keeping me up to date every step along the way. My experience with this location was professional, convenient and enjoyable. Props to the staff.

First time coming here easy to book an appointment online literally booked it about 30 minutes before opening. I was referred here by my brother and staff is very knowledgeable about what they are doing learned a few things about their equipment. I didn’t catch the other girls name but she was extremely helpful as well. Angela was super patient with me today when choosing glasses/contacts went the contact route and am really thankful for her teaching me how to wear them and helping me pick a fun color as well! Love this location I am from nc and wanted to come here in April but they were fully booked so when I saw an opening I just booked right away! I’ll definitely be coming here when I’m in town for a new prescription. It’s super nice to see clearly with out having to worry about foggy glasses! Again thank you Angela so much!
This location is clean and convenient.Pros:• Free eye exam with a real eye doctor. The exam is thorough & the doctor goes out of his/her way to get your glasses prescription dialed in.• Selection of frames is more than enough. You wont be stuck settling.• Staff takes the time to get to know you, to get a feel of which type of frames you prefer & also to recommend the once that make your face shine.• Staff takes the time for you to make selection of your new eyes (frames), to get the prescription just right, without rushing you through the process.Cons:• No frills pickup of glasses. It is what it is.• No bonus included with glasses. They come in a nice case, but should also include glasses cleaner - cloth
WARNING!! Scam Likely. The current management just started this Monday, 7/26, and their previous practices were made to scam people. Took my mother to get her glasses at the Vista location. I told her to be careful not to go beyond the single vision for both reading and distance. They talked her into bifocals with transitions or at least that’s what was shown on the paperwork. When we discovered that there was no transition tint, I went back to point out that it was left off. The current manager helped me and said their was a third pair because it was a different order. Then he discovered a receipt from another person was provided along with her paperwork. I asked her to return the glasses, but she said their all thieves and just look to go beyond their advertised specials. I truly believe the person who helped my Mom intentionally printed that receipt indicating transition glasses and stapled it to the back of the paperwork. The manager said he couldn’t do anything except bring in the glasses and pay for transitions. The new management can’t be held responsible for the previous bad practices, but as a business they should recognize when wrong has been done to a customer.
Every detail was handled with care. I was very satisfied, especially since I had put off my visit due to months of self-quarantine. Excellent from start to finish. My nervousness was not a hindrance.
Jenny was wonderful had a little wait but she kept me informed when it was was ready to help me with my gasses order. She told me about the all specials. Angela at this location is absolutely awesome. She is the epitome of someone who goes above and beyond the call of duty. Its quite obvious she loves and takes great pride in her job, profession and Stanton she needs a promotion yesterday!
I have to say the staff is amazing, Jenny the manager saw my frustration went in and helped me find the right glasses! She was so helpful, patient and efficient.
I made an appointment online for my elderly father to get an vision exam for prescription glasses at Stanton Optical in Vista. When we arrived, the assistant asked how old my dad was, and I said he is 94. She said We cant serve anyone over the age of 79. HUH??? It never said that in the online appointment process. My father had been to this Stanton Optical office about two years ago and was happy with the vision exam and the glasses he received. So why is Stanton Optical now practicing age discrimination?? The assistant explained that without a doctor on duty in the office, they are not allowed to provide vision tests for anyone over the age of 79. She also said they just dont have a doctor on duty at this particular Stanton Optical office. After I got home I checked the Stanton Optical website and it says under the Eye Exams section that eye exams may only be given to people under the age of 80. Why? We dont know. All I know is Stanton Optical lost a customer - we will never go back.

At our appointment Jenny was great, very helpful. Two weeks later the website kept saying my order was delayed, the pick up date changed 3 times. I called corporate/call center and they could not give me any answers. He just kept saying “I don’t know where your order is” then promised me another date and they weren’t ready on that date either. Then Finally Jenny called and explained the situation saying there was a hold up with the delivery and she would call me directly when the glasses are ready. We did not end up getting the glass till a little over a month after our appointment. The process was so frustrating.
I had to find another place to get an eye exam and new prescriptions (that accepts MES Vision Insurance) since the other business place I go to was closed due to Covid-19. This place was beyond incredible. Went around the mid-afternoon. Not busy at all. Keaton was wonderful. Very professional, personable and overall provided excellent customer care & service. I will definitely return to this place and provide great recommendations for this place of business. Thank you!

Today I was treated extremely well by the staff at the Vista location.Angela was the bestest all my questions and concerns were met, and the RX for my glasses were done correctly and i believe perfect for my eyes, which each eye is different, she took her time to get it right. Ok so... I had a pretty bizarre experience at this place. I scheduled an eye exam appointment earlier today. When I got to the place the doors were locked and it was still over 2 hours before close time. I knocked on the door and I saw a person in the back quickly hide when he saw me. I called customer services and they were no help. Called store and they wouldnt pick up. Feels like they are pretty unprofessional. I am glad I didnt get my glasses there. Cant imagine having to deal with warranty issues here.
Weve been going to Stanton Optical for 4 years now and they have the best customer service team. The eye glasses come in quickly and I havent ever had a problem with their lens. Make an appointment online and you can even see cost online or buy online.

I went to this retailer because of the price but didnt have a good experience. They gave me an exam and ordered two pairs of glasses needed for my job sitting in front of a computer, but mistakenly ordered me readers. That wasnt going to work so they were kind enough to reorder them as computer lenses. One pair came out great, the other was causing me left eye strain and mild headaches, so they adjusted the axis which didnt help. So we trashed that pair and reordered me new lenses with a different frame but guess what...they ordered readers again. I havent gone back to fix this again because Ive already made 8 trips to them since the beginning of the process and with all of the corrections. Early on I even visited another branch located near my office to see if they could help but they couldnt because the order in the system wasnt entered correctly. The only reason I did not give them 1 star is because I genuinely think they were trying to help, but just failed repeatedly on the details. So after 8 visits to get two pair of computer glasses for $200, I only ended up with one.
Okay Nick and George are awesome. If you need help and professional service please check out Stanton Optical. Yes the glasses took 14 days to get, but my son wears thick glasses and needs special coating on the lenses. They really do want to help people put and give you want you need. Yes, we did pay 400$ but we got 3 pairs of glasses and an eye exam. Thanks again for helping Jackson out!
Came here for vacation from Oregon and lost my glasses in the ocean. Got a new pair in less than an hour and have a pair of sunglasses being shipped to me. Great place great vibe. Glad to hear there’s a Stanton Optical back home as well. Nick was very helpful and made the process quick and smooth. Highly recommended!

Walked in only knowing I needed glasses. Was able to get an eye exam on the spot. Nick helped me pick out some great frames and hooked me up with some great discounts on top of it all. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions.

If you need an eye exam dont make an appointment. Theres no point to it. I dont think they know whats the purpose of one. There was only 2 people working and they are pretty much just focus on the sales floor. How about giving a we waisted your time discount.
If you must go here, expect to be there for HOURS. I had an appointment at 2:15 and waiting until about 3 just to be seen. Then I was put in a room where a doctor virtually examined my eyes. After that I had to wait about another hour or so for someone to review the frames I choose. I do not recommend going here. Do not get sucked in by their ad for free eye exam and 2 for $59...this place sucks

Walked in and out with a pair of prescription glasses in less than an hour on a Saturday afternoon. They also had a second pair I had tinted ready to pick up next day. I would highly recommend going to Stanton Optical in Vista for getting your glasses. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and professional.
I went in because I saw the two for one deal and really needed to save some money. The last place I went to his LensCrafters and it was $350 and that was with a 50% off deal. The service I received was very kind, patient, and professional. I got my exam and two pairs of great glasses for under the price of LensCrafters. Thank you and I will definitely be back again!

I bought glasses at the Escondido store but wasn’t happy with the frames that I bought, so I decided to check out the selection at vista in hopes to exchange them.They had more to chose from, when I found the pair that I did like i ask the “training manger” if she would exchange the one I bought from Escondido, she wasn’t sure what to do so she asked some other manger. The manger then told me that their “policy” states that they can not return my glasses at the store and that I had to go back to Escondido get the refund and then go back to vista to get my frames. I ask to explain the “policy” but his response was just “that’s the policy”. I didn’t want to argue with the policy and went to the Escondido. Rushing through rush hour trying to get there before they closed. When i arrived at the Escondido they stated that I should of be able to return my glasses there. After hearing that I felt discriminated, pushed aside and unwanted.

Worked with Chris initially. Customer service was good, selection was good, and thats where the good stops.First nobody contacted me to let me know my order was complete, I had to continually call. My order was never entered into their automated system so I had no choice but to call the local store. Their phone line quality was so bad, Chris had to call me on his cell phone just so I could understand what they were saying.Then before I go pick them up, I find out they are giving me the used frames that were on display instead of new frames (yet I am paying retail price for them). I explain that if I am paying top dollar, Im not going to buy used frames.They ask me, Was there anything wrong with the ones on display? Um, duh? They are DISPLAY FRAMES that literally everybody tries on and I paid for new frames... Is this confusing to anybody else?Finally I get them to order new frames for me.I placed my order 3 weeks ago, have yet to get one call or any update. I have repeatedly emailed Ayla and get no response. This place is a joke and extremely unprofessional.STAY AWAYUpdate: I got an email stating that my frames were ready for pickup. When I arrived on-site they let me know that under final inspection they noticed that one of the frames were CRACKED and they would need to order them AGAIN. But fear not cause the second frames I ordered were ready for pickup. Then they hand me the same display frames I tried on originally. Thanks to a blemish on the frames I noticed from before, I was able to spot the difference. These guys are either extremely dishonest or extremely unorganized. Worst buying experience ever. I got a refund of my cash now lets just hope to God my insurance gets refunded.

The price on frames will be added with the price on lenses such could cost more like 60$ frames will add a 80$ on plastic or more on any other material.The eye exam is free of you purchase glasses the same day.2 for 59.99 is a small corner selection of glasses with a blue tag but gets added with the price of lenses.Also the buy one get one free is buy 1 pair of glasses with lenses and get the same pair free with free frame and lens on 2nd pair.
Avoid this place at all costs....Went here back in September because I needed glasses same day....First off complete bait and switch, the initial quote they gave me was about $520 or so, way more than what I expected given their promotion. This was with $20 frames, imagine if I wouldve picked something a little nicer.Was told to come back at the end of the day, went back, not ready, after them giving me the run-around I was told they would have to ship them to me, so much for the same day BSWell today I called asking to have my prescription emailed to me, which I paid for, now Im being told I have to drive 2 hours there to show them my ID so they can email me my prescription.Do not go here, complete waste of time, money, terrible customer service, bait and switch.Uncomfortably pushy sales tactics, terrible all the way around
HORRIBLE at getting back to you about your glasses. This is the second time. You HAVE to call them to see if your glasses are in after 1 month of waiting...who takes that long??? Never again will we go here.

I broke my brand new glasses after having them for 3 weeks. I walked in and was greeted immediately by Mac Heard . He took care of all my needs and went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this location.Edit 10-23-18: Called in to check status on my order and was left on hold for 15 minutes. I had 3 different people answer the phone and was then sent to voicemail.Turns out all i needed to do was search inline to find the number to track my order, which could have been told to me when i initially called. Disappointing considering the service i got last week.
My father when in there to get a pair of glass from a current pescription he just got from Tj and has been seen by a specialist in their hometown. They wouldnt accept it so they said would you want a free eye exam instead, well we wait over 2 hours for nothing. They wouldnt sign off his prescription because he had to see their in house specialist and reschedule an appointment for another day and charge us $45 dollars for the eye exam that was supposed to be free, which they said it was going to go towards a pair of glasses. We end up going on a second appointment just to get out with no prescription or glasses. Fyi there is only 3 pairs of glasses at the price of 2 for $59.

Eyeglass world is waaaaay BETTER in so many ways. You get youre prescription glasses in less than 3 days. Stanton had me wait 2 and a half weeks. Eyeglass world has a physical dr who can accurately identify youre prescription. Stanton has a dr on a webcam and its so awkward prescription came out way too strong. The staff at Stanton is Im sorry to be rude but clueless they took an hour to figure out my insurance and another hour to finish everything up. Honestly NEVER coming back again. Im pretty livid I wasted almost 3 hrs of my day at Stanton from getting my eyes checked to picking out my glasses to finishing up my purchase. Whilst at eyeglass world all of that takes an hr and some minutes.
Great staff selection ok eye exam a joke done by video dictor hard to speak with doctor wont ever get exan again but glasses are great for the price

WARNING. I returned defective glasses October 2018. Last week, I discovered that my insurance deductible was not refunded to my insurance company. I cant use my insurance until Stanton Optical sends them a refund. I question whether Stanton Optical would have refunded the money had I not discovered they had kept it.

Super unhappy with this experience.. they messed up my prescription by inputting it incorrect. Now Im still waiting after being told it would take 7-10 days .. still no freaking glasses yet almost 2 weeks later..
