Amazingly we found fabric we both like for recovering our dining room chairs in about 10 minutes. And it was on sale. Helpful staff, great service.

The staff in the back were extremely helpful and offered great recommendations for our cushions.

I have been to UFO before and was so happy with our dining room chairs, though had a different experience today. I was quoted $450 only for the labor for cushions ($700 in total) for a single chair and a two month lead time. Honestly, I think it would have been more honest if they had simply declined the business. The two stars is for their material selection and not the upholstery service.

One of the last upholstery fabric stores left in all of San Diego county. Overall good selection, but the star of the show are some of the sales people who are very helpful.

1 star because their hours during the pandemic and holiday were horrible.First for Easter they shut down from Friday until Monday, Easter is on Sunday.They are closed Mondays ???During the pandemic these folks were closed even they could open around the time the world needed fabric for masks.What about taking care of your customers

So much selection. Makes it difficult for me to make a choice. But that’s a good thing. Have always been happy with my purchases. But yesterday I forgot to ask for my discount and didn’t get it. Remembered on my way to the car, went back in and they wouldn’t correct it. So do not forget to ask. I’m very upset that the employee wouldn’t make the adjustment.

This place has a great selection of fabrics. Its been in the community for so many years and they offer upholstery services. The labor prices where a little bit on the high end of my budget to upholster a chair but I definitely bought the material there.

Walked around this place for a couple hours while my incredibly talented wife picked backdrop material for her baking photos. Who knew fabric could be so fun? In fact, Im pretty sure the F in UFO stands stands for fun, or fantastic. Seriously this was right in between a trip to the zoo and people watching the Vegas strip in terms of passive entertainment. Take the whole family peep the fabric.... Oh THATS what the f stands for!

I luv this place. Hundreds of rolls of upholstery for every imaginable use. Plenty of professional help from those who work there but NOT on commission. Very reasonable labor costs on re-upholstering. Generous with swatches of cloth. Its easy to spend a couple hours there exploring the variety of fabrics and applications. I luv this place!

This was the best shopping and customer service experience that I have had in a long time. Staff was friendly, personable, well trained and very helpful. The young men you have working for you were dressed appropriately, and went out of their way to make sure we got what we needed. They were more than willing to move large bolts of fabric around for us for comparative purposes. I will go here again when visiting the Carlsbad area. And next time I will be more prepared with what I need so I can buy more fabric. I wish we had one of your stores in the northern part of the state!

I wanted to get my chairs upholster but they needed about two weeks to get 6 chairs done. I ended up buying the material needed to get my chairs done and taking the else where. The service from one of the two guys was great, the other guy was rude which ultimately affected my decision to take them else where. Im a very stickler to good service so I wish that one guy would of been a little nice then I wouldnt have mind waiting two weeks. They seem to have well trained people and they also have a wide variety of fabrics to choose from.

We needed padding foam, Ramon helped us understand the differences between the foam density, boy were we happy he did. That purchase made our trip worth it. Thank you Ramon

We had a project that we needed done by a certain date that was outside of their projected competition date. Not only did they complete the job two weeks early but they did an amazing job. I am very impressed with the craftsmanship and quality. There staff is very curteous and very knowledgeable about their products. I would recommend this place to friends and others and will definitely use them again in the future.

I get to accompany my wife when fabric is needed. This place is as big as a football field and seems to have it all. And the times Ive gone, staff members have been available and helpful. No questions are stupid, and theyll get you the samples you need. I dont know enough about pricing to comment, but my better half seems pleased!

They carry several densities of foam. I was able to get the size and thicken that I needed. They will even use a spray adhesive if you have an odd shape.

Had new foam installed on two patio chair cushions today. Great service from John, picked them up later the same day!They are better then new. Highly recommended.

When I entered the store the clerk ignored us. Didnt even acknowledge our presence. I went up to him, showed him a piece of fabric and asked him if they carried something like it. He said he didnt know that the best place to start looking would be toward the back of the store. Not one of the other employees asked if they could help and when we walked out they did not even speak to us.

The folks at UFO are always very helpful and very nice. I dont frequent the place but I would have to say that if theres anything that they dont have that you need they could probably point you in the right direction. Having said that that direction would probably be toward la because the store down here in Vista is packed with anything you would need.

Their customer service was decent but they had to re write my order 3 times because they kept messing up and it took about 5 weeks to get my custom order done and it was a little pricey . I am it up getting 2 pillows with a custom fit fabric and it cost almost a $100 a pillow(dense foam middle), From cutting to padding to material .

I was misquoted on some couch cushions via email. To make a long story short UFO did not specify the charges were going to be per cushion until I arrived at the store with seven couch cushions. They didnt specify that from the beginning and I dont know why, wasted trip and very disappointed. Couldnt help but feel like a bait and switch. I felt the pricing was asinine in that they were going to try to charge me $700. Took my business elsewhere. Will not return.

Ahhh....Low End fabric store?? I think not.They do beautiful work if you have them reupholster your furniture. There is no other store in North County I know of that comes close to the amount of fabric you will find here. Additionally, they really know their stuff. I have never been steered wrong by anyone in this store and I have gone here off and on over the last 16 years.A happy customer in Oceanside and VIsta.

Tremendous selection of upholstery fabric and trim. Large selection of Hawaiian style barkcloth (the nubby fabric that was popular in the 40s and 50s), foam and foam inserts, and embroidered leather like fabric. Well organized by type of fabric and color. Sunbrella? Large selection of that too. Check it out. Another location in Chula Vista is not as well organized, but its even larger.
