I went to get a stud replaced on my tire. I had advised that I do not want to be charged for the bolt as I already had purchased one and left it in the car. They said they wouldn’t charge and they would use the one I bought. They didn’t end up using the one i bought and overcharged me. When I asked to get refunded they told me to call back on another day for the refund they wouldn’t just do it right then and there. I have yet to receive the refund.

The gentleman there was very helpful in helping me decide between two different tires for my vehicle. I had priced tires out between a couple different places and everyone was within the same ball park. I decided to go to Youngstedts in Waconia because they have always been friendly, helpful and honest with what needed to be done to my vehicles. Plus the convience of location and timeliness of an appointment was worth the few extra dollars.

They are premium prices, but if you dont want to drive into the suburbs, it could be worth it. I would get a quote and call into Chan though. They have good service though. I got a new serpentine belt (which was almost 40% more installed than than in Eden Prairie. It was on a 20 year old car. It would squeal a bit a week or so later. Brought it in, adjusted same day.

We have been bringing our cars here for years for oil changes & tires. Recently I had an appointment for new tires when my check engine light came on, with the car stalling when stopped with my foot on the brake. Since my car is 8 years old I didnt want to put new tires on it if the cost to repair was prohibitive. After checking the code they felt it was the brake booster. They also told me there was a Ford recall on this (something I would not have known) they printed the recall info for me. I went to Waconia Ford thinking I could get the brake issue repaired only to be told my vehicle wasnt covered because it had been built in the wrong factory even though the issue was exactly the same!! Youngstedts worked with me & replaced the brake booster. They went above & beyond. I now have a well running car with new tires. No thanks to Ford who has refused to honor their own recall.

These guys were fantastic people. Came in as I had a flat tire on my way out of town for a holiday weekend. They were super on private so they didn’t know how long it would take but they would try and get it done. They got it done within an hour and a half. And were just so great about it.

Very helpful and professional! I had a schedule conflict and Colten was very patient over the phone rescheduling my appointment. When I showed up to my appointment, Darrell was super friendly and efficient at getting me in and out and I was able to drop off early before my work day. Good place, been bringing my wifes car here for last few years in waconia and service has been up front on cost for most things.

Brought our car in on Tuesday to get an allignment and take one tire off that had odd wear, and make sure the tire is balanced. They did an allignment, however did not take the tire off as asked. My husband called right away and asked why and was asked to just bring the tire in and get it balanced. Tonight we found out that the tire is faulty and needs to be replaced. We are leaving on a road trip early in the morning and are scrambling now to find a new set of tires in the next 2 hours. Uncalled for! Rude and not OK! If they would have done what we asked them to do to begin with we would not be scrambling now trying to find new tires at 5pm.

The guy I dealt with was awesome!!! He made sure to answer all my questions an give me honest advice even it was time for me to get a set of tires! He was super nice! He alone would make me come back again!

Ive gone to Youngstedts a couple times now and have been very pleased with the ease to schedule, timeliness, customer service, and cost for each experience. The folks there are friendly, no pressure, knowledgeable and helpful. I have not visited them for any major repairs, but for oil changes, topping up fluids, rotating, mounting, and balancing tires, Ill definitely go back.

Very honest shop. I have a bigger truck, and had some grinding from the rear brakes. I was ready to drop close to $1000 for a full break job. These guys found the actual problem with the breaks and were able to fix it for under $200. They even confirmed that the breaks were good and were even nice enough to show me the issue (I like to learn that kind of stuff) You guys have a customer for life. Special thanks to Nick and Chris. These guys rock and definitely deserve a raise.

Charged me $39.36 for one basic H7 bulb, $36 for an air filter, they did not charge to install the air filter I suppose that was built in to the price of the filter. The people are friendly, service was fast, the gouging on parts stings.UPDATE: Darrell from the Waconia shop contacted me. He express that Youngsteads takes this serious and wanted to make it right. There was a system error causing inaccurate rates for the light and air filter. They have made right by offering me a few options, one being future auto service at a value well above the difference in what I paid versus what I should have paid. Again the people are friendly and the service/response was fast and professional. I am relieved to have this situation rectified and will continue to use Youngsteads services.

Went in for an alignment. They convinced me it was probably a balance issue. They recommended balance and rotation. They SAVED me $40!!!

Good for having work done, terrible service. When youve got a big job for them to do, theyre youre best friend. When youve got something to look at because youre concerned, theyve got something better to do and cant fit you in until next Tuesday.

I trust this shop. I get regular maintenance there and feel as if they are always straight up with me. They dont recommend unnecessary repairs just to take advantage of my pocket book. Juan is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond. Good place. I am a one parent household right now and it means a lot to me that I have a place I feel safe going to.

Weve been using them for years, they stand behind their work. For the years we get our oil and tires serviced, you cab expect at some point a mistake might happen. What sets them apart is a mistake was taken care of in less than 18 hours, and it felt like we were the only customer they had for those hours. If your looking for a cheap, out the door oil change with just a sticker and a Thanks, this isnt the place for you. If you want a quality minded, customer oriented relationship, this is the right place. The price may be a little more, but its well worth the piece of mind. You will pay for the quick same day service. They have to mark up to pay for that service and for the employees so you will ALWAYS find a better price elsewhere. Why do I give it a 4? Nik, and the whole crew at Waconia Youngstedts are good people who understand your situation and try to always get you fixed up at the most economical choice possible. Sometimes it is telling the patron that it would be less expensive if they could do simple fixes on your own by judging the customers ability to turn a wrench. I like that and believe the staff want to do the best for you not the shops bottom line. They dont have to offer that information to the customer. I have had a lot of work done at Youngstedts, I have bought tires, had parts replaced on my vehicle, etc. They stand behind their product and most parts I have purchased have lifetime warranties. Expensive is the only negative.

I had a puncture in one wheel. Took the wheel in for repair in the morning on a Saturday. I was told to leave it there and I will be called when the wheel was ready. I did not hear from any... I called 20 minutes before closing and was told my wheel had just been finished and I can pick it up. I picked up the wheel and headed home.When I returned home and inspected the wheel closer I found that my directional rotation tire had been mounted the wrong way around and that there were scratches on the alloy rim down into the bare metal - exposing the metal.Called them and I was told that they are now closing and will only be open again on Monday so I should bring it back then.Workmanship is terrible, quality mindset does not exist and respect for customer’s property is lacking. What happened to taking pride in your work???? This is a very disappointing experience and leaves me very dissatisfied.Work order 368527

Consistent and affordable. I am extremely thorough when I shop for parts and services for my vehicles and I will do as much of my own work as possible. When I do need work done that I dont want to do myself I choose Youngstedts in Waconia. Ive put tires on both my cars through them and gotten great deals for top of the line tires. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable. (Four out of five since no one is capable of five out of five.)

Got a flat tire and limped it in without an appointment. I needed to be somewhere, so they put the spare on so I could leave. While I was gone, they fixed my tire, did an oil change and when I came back, it was all done. They were really busy and yet, they squeezed me in without hesitation. They made me feel like a valuable customer. The bill was reasonable. I highly recommend them.

Came in with a bad tire on Saturday .They said they would order it. Waited and waited for a call on Monday .I called, they said it wasn’t ordered. I couldn’t wait another day so I went and picked it up and took it to the dealer. No apology! Nothing!Oh, the dealer had it in stock for $40 less. Out of there in an hour.

These guys are awesome. Ive been using them for 12+ years as my main mechanic as well as tires and oil changes. They have gone above and beyond more times than I can say. I broke a tie-rod once and they were on scene with a tow truck in less than 15 mins, and done with a repair in about an hour. Then they delivered it to my house! Awesome service and advice you can trust.

I gave one star because I couldnt give zero. I came here a little over a year ago, and my experience was horrible. I only came back yesterday because I needed a quick oil change and a tire leak repaired. I thought... What could go wrong? Boy was this a bad decision. They changed my oil and then worked on my tire. They blew it up and tried to tell me it was my fault. I never ran it low, and they admitted that it didnt look like it was run on low. I told him he owed me a tire, and he raised his voice at me. He snapped, Im not buying you a tire.. He then told me prices of the tires they had. I went to Ford and bought a tire. He later showed me a long nail and said it was in my tire. He told me it may have rubbed the sidewall. The nail was about the size of a 12 penny nail, and the sidewall blew out at least six or seven inches from the puncture in the tire. This place is shady, and I will never go back.

Honest and get work done well. Had a car with a blown seal and was a little suspicious. Bought a used car a week later and they only charged me for the time they looked at it (30 minutes). My fears were qualmed and I will be using them as my mechanic in town.

As usual, fantastic! Struck a piece of metal, punctured the tire, made it there, took me in and 45 minutes later 2 new tires. Outstanding service.

Ive been getting my oil changed here for quite some time. They are very friendly, honest, and helpful. Also, if you check their website, you can usually find a coupon for the oil changes.

In short lazy mechanics work here dont ever use. I considered purchasing a car from a private seller this youngsteds location was near their home so I brought it here to get examined. the mechanic after he said he looked at it, told me it was in good condition and needed a tune up in 3k miles its exactly what the seller said so after hearing the same from a professional I felt I could purchase this car. The next day the oil change light came on so I took it in to my trusted Midas, they changed the oil and examined my new used vehicle and told me that the car has about $1200 worth of repairs needed and that I shouldnt have bought this car. Im very upset at youngsteds, them saying it was a good condition car it influenced my decision if they were honest and did the job I paid them to do i wouldnt be out a couple grand and need to spend a couple more.

For the second time in a couple months these guys have done sub-par work. The first time I had them change a headlight for me because you have to go thru the wheel well. They didnt do that and just shoved the headlight assembly into the lens body. It was so obviously done wrong that the tech had to know he did it wrong. When I took it back they apologized, agreed the work wasnt done correctly, and fixed it. Okay, fool me once...This afternoon I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. I asked several times if they rotated the tires and they all replied, yes. I have a mark on one of my tires so when I went back out to my car I noticed they didnt actually rotate my tires. They lied right to my face. Did they even change my oil? Who knows.I have lost all confidence in this establishment and will never give another dime to any Youngstedts location. Shopper beware. These people will lie straight to your face.

Great customer service!!!!I had called Youngsteds at 8am, as my check engine light had been coming on and off for a week... much to my surprise, they were able to promptly fit me in that same morning at 10am. When I arrived at Youngsteds I was greeted by the front desk person... whom I told the details of what I was experiencing with my car. Again, much to my surprise he thoroughly went thru what he thought was the best scenario of diagnosing my car without spending or doing anything more than what was necessary to get it back to normal. He took my keys to start with getting the oil changed and then came back around 20 minutes later to go over what he found when they pulled the codes from the short diagnotiscs test that they had done. We discussed my options and he left to continue with the car... and to my surprise, he came back shortly after and advised me that after discussing my situation with a mechanic that they felt that the car had low oil levels and that the oil change would take care of the issue and then he told me that he wasnt going to charge me for the diagnostic testing that he did and only charged me for the oil change! I was beyond satisfied with the experience all the way around and exceeded, by far, all of my expectations. The shop and the front desk and waiting area were CLEAN as a whistle... and all of the employees that I encountered were friendly and happy to assist. Outstanding experience and better than any other experience, of this nature, that Ive ever had! Great job guys!

A girl at my job went there and they told her she needed new tires. There was nothing wrong with the tires and practically new. I am also a mechanic on the side. I went there once and one of the counter guys saw me walk in with a lug nut and yelled at me they dont sell spare parts. I wasnt even in there for that, and got closer and he yelled again... I turned around and walked out. I dont recommend.

Horrible experience. I don’t know why I made an appointment in advance. When I arrived the waiting area was full so I asked how long it would be. I usually go to Caribou anyway as the place is filthy.... 15 minutes behind. No problem I will still make my next appointment. I returned 40 minutes later and my vehicle hasn’t even been taken back! I missed my appointment and was late to pick up my child. And no apology. Not one word. No regard for the time. I don’t know why I went back. Should have known better. After this I will never return.

Good place for getting the simple jobs taken care of. If you havent learned by now, go to dealership for major repairs.

Parents beware!!!My son went in for an oil change and tire rotation at the Waconia location. I trusted that since the location was local that they would not try to take advantage of my teenager going in on his own. Big mistake.When he returned home I asked to see the service sheet and receipt. The service report showed they *topped off all fluids, except brake fluid*Also in their notes was RF tire showing cords, tie rod severely worn.Upon checking all of his fluids ourselves his transmission fluid was 2 quarts low. Big deal?My husband put the car up on Jacks and checked his tires, tires are less than a year old and not one cord showing on any tire.The tie rod, also in good shape. I feel I need to add here that my husband has 35+ years in the automotive industry.I called the location to speak to a manager to express my concern that his staff was misinforming customers for costly repairs and not servicing the vehicles as they state in the work order. I spoke to Shane, who lied to me and insulted me in the beginning (about the repairs needed) of the conversation and finally came clean at the end of the conversation and admitted he wasnt even in the building when my son was there.Im in sales as well, but to try to *upsell* a teenager based purely on lies and false information is a bad move guys. Especially in a small area like ours.We will never use this location again.
