Im not sure why there are all these bad reviews.. I just moved to Wentzville from St.Charles and still use my CVS in St.Charles because I have been going there for so long and they all know me and I love the employees there. I had a paper script I needed to drop off yesterday and didnt want to drive 25 minutes out, I read the reviews on here and was almost going to just drive to my pharmacy .. but I decided to give it a shot. The staff was VERY nice, not just at the pharmacy but the other employee I spoke to as well. I then got a text about 30min after I got home stating my script was already ready for pick up. Super fast and good service. Im going to give 5 stars because I think its deserved.

Would give this pharmacy location zero stars if I could. I’m not one to leave reviews especially on a pharmacy since I used to work in them and know how stressful and overwhelming it can be. But this location is by far THE WORST. The pharmacy staff is consistently rude and will point blank ignore you even if you’re standing right in front of one of them. They never seem to have a wait time less than an hour and get snotty if you ask to wait. Today was by far the worst. I was told it would be an hour wait like usual and when I returned two hours later they said it still wasn’t ready and they couldn’t give me a time when my prescription would be ready when I asked. I’m talking like they wanted me to wait until the next day and this was at 11am! This unnecessary wait wasn’t due to an insurance issue or any issue related to me, my doctor or my prescription. No, the inability to give me a time was due to the fact that the pharmacist didn’t want to fill my prescription because he was “too busy giving vaccines”. Since when did putting prescriptions on hold for over 5 hours or even days to give vaccines become a priority?? Unacceptable to treat waiting customers like that. If you can’t have a pharmacist on staff to fill prescriptions in a timely fashion then why even open the pharmacy? Some people have medications that can not wait that long to be filled when they have done everything right on their end. That is a serious issue CVS! I’m sure someone waiting for a vaccine could have waited an extra 10 minutes while the pharmacist did the job that is required of him. If its an issue of keeping proper staff then maybe it’s time to start incorporating pharmacy only and vaccine only hours just like you did for pharmacy lunch breaks.

This place is HORRIBLE and unprofessional. They routinely have lines out the door because they are slow. They lose prescriptions. They leave refrigerator prescriptions out. And this one just clinched why I will never go here again: I was waiting in line in the drive through at 120 and of course they took forever. Then, just as I pulled up at 132, they closed for lunch. When I hit the call button, the woman tried to tell me I wasn’t in line. I said I was. “No you weren’t,” she said. Excuse me????? These people can’t get anything right and are horrible at customer service. I would never go here again.

For some weird reason the shelves have been empty for over a month. Medications, beverages, snacks everything... its weird and makes me think they are about to close down. The pharmacy is horrible also, I have never waited so long both in a drive-thru or inside anywhere else. And this is even when there are short lines. A few of the pharmacy employees are not the friendliest either. But being that they are humans and most likely stressed I get it. Its not really an excuse for bad customer service but I have a feeling this stores management is incompetent. Like REALLY incompetent... as they obviously forgot the store needs products to sell. I am forced to go here due to my insurance provider, otherwise I would just go to Walgreens. If you need to stop in somewhere quick just keep in mind that this store wont have it.

I never leave reviews so it takes a really bad experience for me to write one. This pharmacy always has a horrible in-person wait time but I usually overlook it. Today, my doctor called in a prescription and CVS automated line called me telling me they need my updated insurance information to fill my prescription. It said I could drop my insurance card off in the store or stay on the line to give the information to a pharmacy associate. Given that I have young children, Id rather do it by phone than drag them back and forth to the pharmacy. I waited on hold for 8 1/2 minutes before an unpleasant woman answered. I explained that I needed to update my insurance information by phone and she immediately told me I need to bring me card in because sometimes doing it by phone is too hard. I told her I waited over 8 minutes on hold to speak to someone and that their automated prompt said doing it by phone was an option. She interrupted me and had a very rude tone and said Im telling you its hard maam but Ill try. I gave her all the information on my insurance card and she put me on hold for an additional 5 minutes. She came back on and said I FINALLY got it to go thru at which point I just have a quick thanks and hung up. Ill be searching for another pharmacy that takes customer service seriously. Im generally easy going since I worked in customer service for a number of years so it takes someone pretty rude to work me up. Ive seen them treat others this way when Ive gone in the store in the pharmacy area as well.

Next day new message my prescription is ready to be picked up I send wife and child to go pick it up while I am at work. Only to find out it still isnt fulfilled I call my Dr. Office they say they sent it everything should be fine. They get in the phone with them. Evidenlty the Pharmacy had questions about it. Why not call my Dr. Office guess to inconvenient for them. My Dr. Instantly gets on the phone with them to straighten out. Ok all good. But now they tell my wife its going to be 20 min to put some things on in the bag. Its a prepackaged prescription they literally have to do nothing but put it in the bag. We use the Schuncks in Wentzville location. I sure miss the customer service and care we got before CVS came in. We have had multiple issues. The icing on the cake was I took in a prescription for a prep on Thursday (the same day I went to the doctor and had the procedure scheduled) and I had to call and check on it today (Saturday). They inform me they cant check in more than a 20 mile radius of them if any other CVS has it. So I needed to call around myself. I was really upset that they didnt tell me yesterday. I kept my composure. Called my husband and explained what was going. He called back and who ever he talked to called around to other pharmacies in a near by town. They got it transferred to Wal-Mart. Sadly when we dropped off the prescription we tokd them we needed it by Saturday. They said no problem. Come back in 30 minutes. Multiple times they over promise and way under deliver.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy ever! I am going to switch to another pharmacy! Every time I try to get a prescription, I have to wait in a long line that is at least 30 to 45 minutes. By the time you finally get seen, they tell you that your prescription is not ready to come back in 25 minutes or longer! Then you try to explain that youve given them hours of time to fill it and you waited over 30 minutes or more in the drive thru, but they could care less. Its ridiculous. The excuse I was given today this time, was they been extremely busy bc of covid testing. Well gee, maybe yall shouldnt have chosen to get that extra task if you cant handle it. Maybe you should just stick to filling prescriptions only, bc obviously you cant even do that. This happens every time I come here. P.S....even before covid testing they were this way. So now I cant get my antibiotic that was Escribed to them way earlier in the day! They are about to close the pharmacy tonight! Like really? I am beyond furious.

I waited over an hour at the Bryan Rd location last week just to get my flu shot. They all seem so frazzled and short staffed. Something isnt being ran properly. While I was waiting in line in the store the speaker above them said 8 calls waiting for pharmacy. Nobody answered the phone. They were struggling just to help people in the store. This store used to be quick and efficient at filling prescriptions and also very friendly. Now I feel they have a broken system where their auto-fill, well...doesn’t auto-fill. Even though it’s the end of October when I called after hours to put in a refill request, the computer system asked if I was sure I wanted to fill “early” since it was due to auto-fill on September 27th?! You really have to keep up with them or you are at their mercy of when your medicine may be ready. Also, we believe my husband’s 90-day refill was shorted by around 2 weeks worth of meds since he ran out much too soon. So now I feel we can’t even trust the quantity being given is correct. If our insurance didn’t dictate this is the pharmacy we have to use, you can bet we’d be out of there. Also the store manager Judy thought it was funny when we commented on a 25 minute hold time earlier in the day. She said basically “25 minutes? That’s nothing!” Do not recommend. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Taking 5+ days to fill a prescription that was needed that day is unacceptable. I understand being short staffed, the holidays, and every other excuse. I can even sympathize; however, if you cant handle the workload let people know. We are suppose to wait until we receive a text saying it is filled, dont! The store is dead empty and sometimes thats a plus if I need one item quickly. But it also speaks volumes about CVS in general. The place is overpriced and their rewards program has nothing on Walgreens. This particular locations staff are kind of ghost like. I have waited at the counter for 10 minutes or so without any help. Their is one lady who is pretty friendly though and remembers me which is nice. I dont remember her name however. The biggest drawback of this store though is the pharmacy, it is horrific. I would not use CVS if it werent from being forced by Aetna now. And wouldve much rather preferred to stick with Walgreens. Their are two issues with the pharmacy, one their refill process and two the rude staff. Nearly every time I put in refills they never get filled. You can track the progress online and after it misses the pickup time by a day or so I give them a call. The pharmacist usually replies Oh, let me get that going for you. So either CVS has a broken system, or no one their is competent. What also doesnt help is that nearly everyone working back there is rude and could careless about the customers. I absolutely cant stand or trust this location with my medications. You have been WARNED.

Im only giving the Wentzville CVS one star, because you cant choose no stars. Ive never experienced laziness and incompetence like I have with this pharmacy. Walgreens was on back order, so I called CVS to see if they had the medication in stock. They told me they had 4 tubes of it, but it would take a few days to get the transfer from Walgreens. They finally called that it was ready and when I got there, they told me that my insurance required a pre-auth from my doctors office, and that would take a few more days to get. Ok, fine. So after 4 days, I called and they told me that they sent the request to my doctors office, but havent gotten any response from them, and that I should call them the next morning, which I did, and my doctors office said they were never sent a thing! So my doctors office told me that they will work on it and get it sent right away. I called CVS later that day and they told me that they got the pre-auth, but that my insurance wouldnt approve the generic, and they had to order the brand name, which is a crock!! They told me it would be in the next day. So that was on Monday, and today I called and asked what was taking so long, and they told me that they didnt have the medicine, that it was on backorder. I never received any calls from them, and I spoke with a snooty girl named Jordan who kept changing the reasoning of why my script wasnt ready. I really believe that they never tried to fill my script, they lied and said they contacted my doctor when they didnt, and they LIED about my insurance not approving generic. I called Walgreens back, they had the medicine back in stock, they pulled my script back, and had it filled within an hour. No waiting on the transfer back, no waiting for pre-auth, and filled with generic approved by my insurance. CVS pharmacy employees are lazy, incompetent liars and I would NEVER recommend going there.
