Scheduled a trailer hitch install weeks in advanced at the west Lafayette location. I showed up and they didn’t even know I was supposed to be there. They told me the parts were not available. My frustration is that they couldn’t even call to notify me the parts were not available. I then continued to call customer service and they suggested I just go “elsewhere.” I then stated I would like to file and complaint then with them and I will plan to go elsewhere and she told me nothing else other than to have a nice day. So I assume the complaint wasn’t filed and if customer service tells me to go somewhere else even they know they suck.

Would give this location less than 1 start if possible.Set up a reservation over 2 months ahead and the less than 24 hours before we were due to pick it up we received a call that said they dont have the equipment and we would need to travel an hour to a different location to get it. Long story short... The new location pickup time did not work for us and the three different people we spoke to at the West Lafayette (1 was a manager) location acted as if they didnt care/ it wasnt their problem and 1 was downright rude. Their excuse is that it is busy and lots of people are moving (which is what we were doing and why we made the reservation so far out).Asked for the district manager to reach out to us and we never heard from them (been almost 2 weeks now).We had to take it upon ourselves to reach out to another location (also an hour away in Noblesville) and they were fantastic!DONT USE THIS LOCATION! THEY DIDNT CARE ABOUT US SO I BELIEVE IT WOULD BE THE SAME FOR YOU!

Not a friendly place. We were encouraged to buy a lot packing boxes and told unused boxes could be returned. Unfortunately in the next day, we can not return all the leftover/unused boxes because we could not have the receipt. I am wondering why they did not give us the receipt as well as telling us about returnable ... the manager guy who sits in the right side of booth, talked about returnable and sold us over $200 boxes. He has no problem to say NO return to us the next day.Ask for your receipt and keep it well. This Uhual store know how to make extra money out of your moving.

Great experience here. The manager, (Brian maybe??) was very knowledgeable and made an honest effort to get us a good deal. He ended up getting us an awesome deal!! Would be glad to go back!!!

I never have a problem at U-Haul. Dave and staff are always friendly and knowledgeable!I tried renting a storage unit at another facility because it was a little closer to the house, but the manager there told me I needed to carry THEIR insurance in addition to my homeowners policy. When I said I didnt need/want it, they told me it was a state requirement. WRONG! That was a lie. Check out Indiana Code 27-1-16.1 for more details. Dont let their competitors scam you!I trust U-Haul completely and highly recommend them!

It was a fair price for my move in and out no problem with truck or service. Ive done it a few times before and know having everything boxed and ready to move is key to getting truck back as quickly as possible. Saving money.

Convenient time, reasonable price and good trucks

After two phone calls confirming this location will fill an RV with propane, after I arrive and weave my way through about 10 haphazardly parked rental returns, I’m given a changing story on to why they cannot fill my propane tank on a new RV. First, it was that it would be too hard to find the date on the mounted tank, then when that was shown, it would be too hard to take a picture (the plate is very accessible). If that’s not enough, “they” wouldn’t like the picture of the data plate, so he still can’t fill me. Corporate customer service was at a loss as to how to help me. After they speak with the individual, he goes on about a marketing company restricting them and eventually says the manager won’t let them fill mounted tanks. IF that’s true - start with that next time. I called so I wouldn’t waste a long trip in a gas guzzling RV. Next closest place is quite a bit further and they don’t open till Monday. Thank goodness I’m not staying the night in the RV or I’d be frozen.

Dont ever rent from uhaul they are rip offs. They charged us 198 for renting cargo van and we even brought back to same store. It took 3 days for them to screw my wifes account up. And then 12/2619 they took another 60 out of wifes account and cant explain why but told her it would take 3 days to get money back they are liers and thiefs DONT NEVER RENT OR DEAL WITH THEM HARD TO DEAL WITH.

I was treated very well. I arrived early for my reservation, but the model of van that I had ordered was unavailable. I was upgraded to a 10 box truck for no additional charge, even after I offered to come back closer to my reservation time.My daily rental rate included 100 miles, so I ended up paying only $0.29/mi for 24 miles on a 1-day, 124-mile trip. They even included a paper which estimated how many gallons would need to be added to the tank at the end of the day, based on the current fuel level, to bring the fuel level to its original quantity at check-out. I found this to be very helpful and accurate.The truck was in great shape, had ample air conditioning, and plenty of cabin space.Overall this was a very good experience.

Very efficient - in and out in 10 minutes. No unexpected fees, and the staff was very helpful for questions. Made my move much easier.

Rented a truck a few days in advance, and was emailled with less than 24 hours notice that they did not have the truck I had reserved, and changed the reservation to one I would not be able to use. Had to cancel everything and pay extra to rent from another provider.
