Fair prices, great service and most reliable parts vendor Ive had over the years.Just had the most amazing service experience, when a failed component (one in many in order) failed when applied over weekend (maintenance window) and they responded to an email on Sunday.... (I just emailed so itll be there for them on Monday - whod expect RMA request to be serviced Sunday eve?)This business deserve every good word.
Phenomenal experience. We had an issue with Cisco not being able to verify the warranty status for a switch that failed which we had purchased from Server Supply 3-years ago. Cheryl was able to work with me and get me the documentation I was looking for. In the end, we were able to provide a solution for our client. Its not often that you get the assistance youre looking for in our line of work. She came through big time.
Server Supply has been an excellent vendor to source odd-ball parts we end up needing for already in production systems we run across. Theyve always impressed me on turnaround, pricing is fair and every time Ive had to interact with them Ive had real people pickup the phone and solve the issue on the spot. Whether it be the one time I ordered the wrong part and called a minute later to have someone swap the part out with negligible effort (issue was my fault yet fixed in under 3 minutes) or whether I needed to check shipping status and received back an email from Cheryl in 5 minutes - theyve been consistently good.
We purchased a very large order from Server Supply recently and I have the say, the experience was excellent. Cheryl, who works in the office always has a great attitude, is extremely nice and is exceptionally helpful. They made sure my order was shipped and received on time on very short notice. I work with a lot of vendors and I have to give this one 5 stars!
I bought a replacement power supply with the free shipping and received the part in 72 hours. It works great! (I figured it was a $35 lottery ticket whether the dead supply fried the mobo on the way down)
Ive never had a problem with guys. Lots of one star reviews on here sound like end user error to me! Ive ordered hard drives, motherboard, raid controllers and a few other items from here over the years. Shipping is expensive but not their fault. If you need something urgently call them speak to somebody and confirm... Dont assume its Amazon :-)
Website said a drive was in stock so I selected overnight delivery. The next day it was still in stock check status. I finally received an e-mail stating the item was not in stock.It took an entire day to determine if the item was in stock and caused a wasted two days to get the part.I added a second star because the person who answered the phone was courteous and helpful in cancelling the order.Suggestion: Get better inventory management and if you dont have something in stock, dont wait 24 hours to send the e-mail to the customer.
I needed to replace a failed power supply in a Dell XPS 8900. I did a lot of searching and Server Supply had the lowest price from any company that had a reasonable return policy. I placed the order early Wednesday afternoon with ground shipping, and the power supply arrived the very next day!Though I ordered a refurbished unit, it looks brand new. I installed it and the computer is working perfectly again. Thank you Server Supply!
This group has been outstanding to work with. On two separate occasions, when I had servers crash late in the day, they were able to get replacement parts shipped to me overnight. Keep in mind, these are antiquated servers so the fact they even had the parts was impressive.
If I could give them less than one star, I would.Check out their sitejabber reviews too.I ordered a drive in April as a back up for a RAID in case of drive failure. They shipped the wrong tray but I didnt complain because I knew I could put the drive in to the existing tray when needed.Yesterday I received an alert that I had a drive failing. No biggie because I have the backup I ordered from this company. I put the drive in the tray and open up the HP array utility to check the rebuild. The drive is bad.I contacted the company and they let me know that Im not the warranty and they could not care less that they send out bad hardware. Dont do business with this company if youre not planning on using the item right away and most people in enterprise environments arent.

After expressing concern that an order had not shipped the rep became irate and hung up. When I called back to speak with someone else I asked for someone else, got his friend who wanted to exercise the right not to sell to someone.Avoid Server Supply if you can.
Very disappointed, I ordered something around 10 am after first calling in to see if they had the part and if they could overnight because I needed it urgently.. The person was very nice and answered yes to both of my questions. I called back in later about an hour later to place the order different person, still helpful. Once again i expressed that it was important that i received this the next day. Part was verified twice. I call the next morning because I didnt receive any shipping information and was told that they didnt have the part. The parts they had in system were defective, so they reversed the charges. The problem is that they didnt call me. I didnt mind paying a premium price for the board and shipping but the followup service definitely doesnt match the premium price of parts. The answer was they sent me an email towards end of day, that was caught in spam so not any of their fault basically too bad. My take on it they should have called since I explained how urgent the part was needed, thats good customer service.
Ive only ordered from Server Supply once, but it was a great experience. I ordered a refurbished PSU for my Dell desktop and it a) was cheaper than elsewhere b) arrived promptly c) in a well-protected package. It was the correct part and appears to be working as anticipated.

If you live in Canada and are in urgent need of a computer part, do not contact these guys! Our company needed a particular hard drive for our equallogic array and the girl I spoke to on the phone, Elura, said that they had the drive in stock and that they could ship it overnight to us. After quickly completing a PO for them, she emails me back saying that they wont accept our net payment terms. No problem - I corrected the PO and sent it back. Then she emails me back to tell me that they dont accept net terms from international customers. If this was explained initially in the first phone conversation, then maybe we wouldnt have lost so much time in the urgency of getting a replacement hard drive. I think their customer service should definitely be trained better. Very disappointed.

If I can give server supply zero stars I would. I purchased a drive for one of my SANs. They had 2 different drives with the same model number. 1 works with the SAN and the other does not. Unfortunately I ended up getting the 1 that does not work. Tried to return it and they wanted to charge a restocking fee. There are plenty of other online competitors that will not charge this fee. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere.
WARNING!!! Read this before you loose money:I purchased a NEW server with original HP warranty. The server arrived DEAD! I was told that the warranty had expired and they cant do anything about it. The server was a two year old piece of junk put together from non-matching part numbers, totally scratched and dusty.DO NOT GET SCREWED!I am out $3.418!!! I filed consumer protection claims and I will sue them. What a headache!

If I could rate this company zero stars I would. They advertise memory at a great price. Except when the order arrives it is totally different from what I ordered. When I called to find out what was sent I was told it was mistake by the shipper. Then when I ask about getting the correct memory sent to me they tell me the price has tripled! Many, Many reviews online about he same style of business. NEVER NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SERVER SUPPLY!

Several years ago. ordered server PS, credit card was compromised soon after. Never got the part. Cant believe server supply is still in business. They must pay google a ton of money to stay so high when searching. If this place were legit, would be a nice store. They make their money by charging restocking fees and credit card fraud. Server Supply is hit or miss like all these IT supply companies.Sometimes they have a part in stock and sometimes they dont.However their website is set up dynamically if I remember suchthat it will tell you if they have the part in stock or not. Usuallytheir inventory info is correct. When I backordered a part, theywere never able to get it, but they kept me constantly updatedthrough email every week or two. I have had nothing thus far,but positive experiences with Server Supply (which is rare).

Tried to download the configuration utility and had to spend extra $$$$ on a support contract because they arent an authorized retailer. In-fact I was told by their customer that they arent an authorized retailer for any of their products. When I tried to return the product they wouldnt take it back.!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!
DO NOT order from Serversupply if you need an item urgently! Placed an order through their webstore; emailed them to confirm item was in stock. Received a response from their representative confirming that the item was indeed in stock and would for certain be shipping the same day. Next day I received an email saying it is out of stock and there is no ETA for when they will have more available. Checked their website and the item was removed from their website - seems they just realized they no longer have it available and cannot source it. I called them and asked if they had a similar replacement, but the person I spoke admitted that he had no familiarity with the item or any possible substitutes that they might have available. Why waste valuable time and tell customers that an item is in stock when it isnt? At the very least, tell customers when parts arent in stock, so they can order elsewhere if an item is urgently needed.
Purchased a server. No indication that it came with rails. Ordered the rails. Now I have 2 sets of rails. I get to pay to ship them back, I get to lose 15% because their site description is incorrect. Overall not happy with their customer service. Service folks are rude, dont call back and totally unhelpful. STAY AWAY.Now I need to check the server I purchased and see if it was what they said it was. Noticed all the drive bays are missing too. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.One positive note, paid $172 for 2 days shipping. Only took 4 days!!!

I bought a couple of cisco access points, they came in scratched and dirty to the point that I was embarrassed to even put them up in my own office. so I contacted the company in regards of this and they said they could ship out another one, but I would have to repay for shipping, and a restocking fee for the other unit. No sense of business. I will give this company no more of my money and will cut my loss.

I had an urgent need for two firewalls. Server Supply had them in stock and offered next day delivery. I completed the order at 4:59pm EDT and the sales person I talked to said the would try to get them out yet that day (they are open till 7:00pm) but definitely by the next day. When I arrived at my office the following morning, there was a UPS package waiting for me with two firewalls in it. I hadnt even received the shipment tracking email yet! And their price was very competitive with other possible sources on the Internet. For that reason, Server Supply is one of my goto sites for our clients hardware needs!

Company is a scam beware. A co worker ordered a part with a clear picture and serial number and was sent something different. When he emailed their customer returns turns out their policy is if you open the box it isnt returnable As none of us have see through box technology we tried to swap it for a different part. That is where the trouble began. They denied a return 3 times. After which we opened a BBB case. Then magically, they offered to process the return only if the BBB case was closed. They processed the return and then when we went to get the correct part through them, they called us and said they didnt want to process orders from us anymore.Luckily there are hundreds of other non scam type companies out there, purchase at your own risk. As other people have posted they They obviously make their money by charging restocking fees.

I placed an order by phone. Gave the person all my drive info. They sent the wrong drive. When calling about this, they were very rude and accused me of being wrong. Worst customer support. Been waiting on a drive from them for 3 weeks. Drive was backordered and we accepted the 10 day window, but it is now outside the 10 day (business days with Christmas and New years also thrown in as well) We are now nearing the middle of January, no drive, no updates, no shipping ETA.When I call I get a run around that the drive will ship Friday, but now its Monday and they havent even received the drive. Ive spoken to 3 separate service reps and get a different response from each, but none of them know the status of the drive.This is a server grade drive and due to their poor service quality weve had to delay a major project 3 times now, and they wont even give us a break on shipping costs to have the drive over-nighted.I dont usually leave such negative feedback, but this is a glaring problem in their process and if they cant fix it they will lose customers.

Terrible service! Looking for Seagate HDD for server. Needed them asap. Called BEFORE placing order to ensure they had them in stock. They said YES theyre in stock. Left a note on the order to inform me if there were any issues. They placed HDDs on back order without notifying me and now Im 2 days into a failing HDD array on my server.

ServerSupply sent me an HP counterfeit item, when I asked to return the item, they told me the item was genuine and said theyre still going to charge me a 15% restocking fee.I sent pictures of a real unit that I have that is clearly different from the one I received from ServerSupply and they still said they will charge me a restocking fee. I will be disputing the charge through paypal.

Managed to get a refurb Xeon E3-1280V3 which is essentially a I7-4790 without a iGPU for $158. Great deal. Ordered on Saturday, received it on Tuesday. Works perfectly. Highly recommend buying things that dont really go wrong. I would not really buy refurb HDDs and other components that can go wrong quickly.
Very poor customer service!!! I ordered a part for a server on the 25th of September. I called on the 27th of September when I saw that the money had been withdrawn from my account but the part had not yet shipped. I was assured that the part was shipping out on that day. I then called on the 30th of September after seeing on the website that the part still had not shipped. I was told in writing in an email that the part would ship today. When inquiring as to why the part didnt ship on the 27th and that they should overnight the part to me at their expense. I was told that this wasnt possible. Pressing the issue as to why, I was then hung up on. Finally, I called back and spoke to a supposed manager at the company and told that the part wat not in stock and, therefore, would not ship. She went on further to say that she was cancelling my order.This company has absolutely no problem taking your money in a very expeditious manner. However, they take no responsibility for their actions (in this case bad actions), are extremely rude, have no problem lying to you and do not understand the meaning of the phrase customer service. Under no circumstances should any business or person deal with this company for any reason!!!!

We are an MSP in Austin, Texas - We bought a drive from them, opened the box to discover it was not a SATA drive, and there was no indication on the box as to what type of drive it was. It was the wrong type. They would not accept a return. This is unacceptable for a Business to Business Vendor - If you do business with them and make a mistake, or their description is wrong, dont expect professional courtesy or common policies. Used their search by system tool to get 8GB memory sticks for a PowerEdge R310, their part number K075P, only to find that it will not boot. And I have to pay 15% to restock their bad recommendation. Ordered 3 Adaptec 2405 Controllers and was sent a replacement part without notification that the original part was no longer available. They are refunding the purchase, but it did put me in a spot in purchasing this part elsewhere. Interestingly enough their website still lists the 2405 controller as in stock even though it is not. Have had good experience with this company in the past but was not pleased with this incident.
