Awoke early on Saturday morning to discover that a torsion spring had snapped, leaving both my car and motorbike marooned in the garage. Called 7 places, and non could assist until Sunday or Tuesday,Left a message for Heather at J & A, who returned my call within 30 minutes.She arranged for the owner, Brian, to arrive later that day, and repair all. Our garage door spring broke on Sunday night. Called J&A first thing Monday morning and spoke to Heather who helped me get a technician to come over after 4 pm. Brian the owner showed up assessed the situation and explained what might have caused the breaking of the spring. Good thing he had the spring in his truck and was able to replaced it within an hour. I have used J & A Overhead Door on two occasions. First was to do a repair when we first bought our house and a year later when I wanted new doors because we were getting new siding on the house. Both quotes were good and the service was fast and excellent. On the second occasion, they sold me two new doors with standard openers. The doors look great and I have never heard quieter openers ever! They even have an iPhone app to open and close. This app is very handy when checking the doors on my phone before going to bed or at work to see if any of the kids left it open. Ray the installer was very professional, friendly and meticulous with his work. He programmed both our cars as well. A superb experience.

I recently had doors put in by J&A. They were fabulous. Not only were they quick and efficient but they were perfect. There was never a time that we didnt know the date they were putting them in. They kept us posted on a regular basis as to the doors. The doors are beyond what I expected. My garage is close to 100 years old and they made it functional and beautiful. In picking the doors they did not over sell me and only sold what I needed and what I wanted. Their prices were better than other companies and they were quick to respond. Some companies never even called back.

J&A did a wonderful job updating our old opener and garage door trim! Called this morning for a service call and much to my surprise they had an appointment opening later this afternoon. The tech gave me a call before the appointment time as requested. Ray arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate on repairs within minutes of his arrival. Much to my surprise again he was able to make the repairs on the spot. Ray worked quickly and efficiently and I could not be happier with the service. Highly recommended!

Ray was great to work with and very through. It was easy to set up an appointment and he was even early. We had our garage door motor installed by another company, but Ray took his time to figure out why our garage door was still not working properly. At first we thought that the motor was defective, but after doing some adjustments he determined that the motor was not installed properly. The garage door has been working great ever since. I would highly recommend Ray and J & A Overhead Door.

When we decided to finally get a garage door opener, we called the company that installed our garage door five years ago. The technician came to our house, looked over the prospective job and told us he didnt have the correct style opener needed for our garage. We were told he would go back to the shop and get the correct style opener. He never came back, and we never heard from the company again. At random, we selected J & A Doors. What a wonderful surprise! Ray, the technician is the face of this company, and I hope they appreciate him. He told us our door track was out of alignment, and the interior construction made the job less than the norm. He was able to work around our unique interior construction, aligned the track, and installed the opener. He works efficiently and fast; not a wasted movement. Ray demonstrated creativity in dealing with a significant problem, solved all issues and smiled the whole time!!We have a dog (for two months now) who was taken from an abusive environment and suffers both physical and some emotional problems. My dog liked Ray!!! Thats a darn good testimonial.I highly recommend J&A Doors and Ray. We found this company by sheer dumb luck and would not hesitate to suggest them to anyone.

My door broke at 3pm and trapped one of my cars in the garage. I found J &A online and called them around 4. They told me they would have someone out first thing in the morning. Sure enough Brian was here at 8 sharp and had my door working better than it ever had in no time. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonable. My garage door wouldnt open more than 1/4 of the way. Called J&A at 8am on a Saturday morning and left a message and they got right back to me. Before noon Ray was at the house and the issue was fixed by 2pm. Wont use anyone else from here forward.

Door was put in yesterday. On time, looks great. I bought a high end door(Haas) but have no doubt that a regular door would have gotten me the same service.They took care of disposing of the old door. If you live in Westfield, and want to bring it Westfields dump, they wont take it. Something to consider if you want to get rid of the old one yourself. J + A will bring the door to Valley Recycling in Northampton. You could to.Friendly and they know what they are doing. Door goes up and down on the tracks perfectly.I have a 32 year garage door opener that they didnt try to get me to change because of its age. They said to replace that opener with new Id have to get a commercial grade unit and why bother if the current one runs fine.They took care of getting me an additional remote tied into the 32 year old opener.
