Motto has helped me and my family for years .. they are efficient and Handle your items with care and work with you to get a price that’s affordable to your budget. I honestly trust them and have for several years. I would highly recommend! Excellent quality items that hold up and are durable for years. Purchased a gorgeous Ashley designer marble complete bed set, still going strong 6 years later! Just recently brought a gorgeous Ashley recliner set and a beautiful, Ashley modern coffee table set of 3! DO NOT GO HERE! By far, the worst customer service experience ever. Thai and Marlo are extremely rude and unprofessional. They harass and insult their customers. During the pandemic when they were supposed to stay out of peoples homes they were collecting merchandise and unlawfully going into peoples homes. The local police told me this was illegal and to call them if Rent A Center came to my home. I have filed complaints with the Town of Weymouth, the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney Generals office about their unfair debt collection practices. I paid off my merchandise a month ago and twice I have been told they mailed me a Certificate of Ownership and a list of the payments I made and yet these documents have never shown up.
So great to do business with you. Very flexible, helpful, kind, happy and just all around great people. Love the Weymouth store.
Employees were nice however:They didn’t tell me the “references” I provided would be contacted if I was unavailable and owed a payment which is not only embarrassing but none of my references business...Also they told my references confidential information. I was in the hospital which ONE of the references they contacted explained to them this why I was unreachable. However they gave this information to another reference who was unaware of the situation FOR A REASON therefore now have to deal with that problem.Absolutely mortified with this experience and have already filed a complaint and will never refer rent a center to anyone or use their services.
I have been receiving harassing calls from employees at Rent A Center for several years WITHOUT EVER BEING A CUSTOMER!! My NEIGHBOR is/was a customer and she clearly defaulted on payment. The problem is that 1) I was never a customer, and 2) I moved away from this neighbor over 4 years ago. I never even gave my permission to be a reference or emergency contact for this neighbor.Each person who has called from the Weymouth Rent A Center location has been told this information and Do not call. They respond rudely, usually using profanity. They clearly utilize unfair collection practices. I will never use this very poor business and I often advocate against using this company to anyone who talks about rental companies.A rude female by the name of Ty called this morning and I professionally asked for someone in a management position above her so I could resolve the issue. She hung up on me. I called back to get that information and she threatened to call the police on me. Honey, you go right ahead, this isnt a criminal matter. But you do what makes you feel better about harassing people for a living. Let the reviews begin.....!
This place is great especially if your just looking to rent for a TEMPORARY stay. If your planning to rent with option to buy. It can get expensive doing the monthly payments

Want to feel uncomfortable? Head over to this Rent-a-center! Jim was EXTREMELY rude! I walked in with my three children, looking to see if they had a table for my family that had my style with it. Needless to say, even if I found a table I would not have taken it from here! Jim got right in my face telling me how lucky I was that there were not any employees there that would do that, yet he was. He continued to tell me about his divorce and his child support payments, as if I would care? He assumed I was going through a divorce, I am not. He kept saying that he can understand being low income....I am not low income! He made comments about my children, even offered me a used piece of furniture with a piece of wood chipped out of the table-top and told me that my kids would ruin the furniture anyways. I have three very prissy girls, they dont ruin anything. He told me that my style of living was not right, that I should make all my children sleep in the same room and save myself aggravation....pretty sure Im a mom of three and hes a dad of one, and by the sounds of it he doesnt see his child very often, so he obviously does not have a CLUE as to how to parent. Really frustrated. Never going here again
The employees in this store is in need of some serious customer service training starting with the manager, Dustin. I am a paying customer who deserves to be treated as such. Hes rude, disrespectful and needs to find the meaning of customer service! I just dont feel comfortable making a business deal with a company that has a manager representing them in anyway less than professional. Therefore, I am returning the merchandise and taking my business to Aarons!
