Caring owners. They go out of their way to help customers. I go here for my state inspections, and they are timely and do a good job. I have also had tires patched and my car checked for problems by the mechanics before a big trip. I get gas here often as well and use their discount card.

Advertised gas prices and actual price at pump are not the same. Be mindful of how much you are paying at the actual pump.

Never again will i support this business. Repair prices are ridiculously high. They tried to talk my mom out of tons of money. When i went there, i specifically told them what i needed done, but they changed parts that had already been changed, and obviously not fixing the problem. Lesson learned!!! The state inspector is awesome, and ive been dealing with him for many years. This company is very convenient for me, but Ill drive in town from now on.

The only inspection station in Williamsburg that I trust since 2000, and Ive been working on my own cars since the mid 1980s. If my cars fails inspection, then it definitely needs something. Dwight is the man!

They helped me in a jam today! My car thermometer light came on while here visiting my son at college and I had to drive all the way back to ALEXANDRIA VA the next day! They had it fixed in 2 hours on a Saturday! Thx guys! You are my new go to in Williamsburg!

Been going there for years. Never again!Ive brought my cars to the Jamestown Shell station for a decade now. The service has always been fair. Not great, but ok. The mechanics seemed like decent guys with good knowledge. But my latest experience will result in me never going again.My sons brought their car in for a state inspection. A day went by and nothing. No calls or anything. I finally get ahold of them and they say the car is ready for pickup. My sons paid $20 and left. It was only when they got home that they noticed the rejection sticker. A day later, I decided to accompany them to the station. The owner told me that he had called me 3 times and that he spoke to me and I told him I had sold that car years ago. So they failed the car. I told him that he clearly didnt talk to me and mustve dialed the wrong number. He proceeded to argue with me and tell me he called me. It was like talking to a wall. A rude wall. He said I needed to get 2 wiper blades and the license plate bulb replaced. $40 or $50 he said. My sons picked up the car 2 hours later, and got a bill for $92. They tried to charge him a second time for inspection. That was an easy fix. But $20 for EACH WIPER BLADE? And $25 to install them??Ive put up with the rude and unprofessional owner for years. But Ive reached my boiling point and will never give this station my business again. The owner clearly does not value his customers (check the many reviews here), and is now employing a bait and switch method. Never again.

Buyer Beware! I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because the repair was fine, but we were charged double.. If they wont give you a signed written estimate, leave! We were charged an extra $500, for front tie rods, after we were shown a hand-scribbled note that later vanished. We also discovered we were charged for 4 coils a year before, when they only changed 2 coils, cheating us 50%. I should have swiped up the estimate to save $500. Demand a signed written estimate to keep or else WALK AWAY.

Will go again for gas, inspections and repairs.

This place is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and the owner is EXTREMELY rude and arrogant! He has bad customer service! I don’t recommend this place at all! To get gas is okay but don’t get anything done on your car! It’s terrible!

Do not bring your car to this place, they didnt do anything to my car in order to look at it to get it fixed and still wanted to charge 150 dollars just because it sat in their parking lot for 3 days?!? The way they treat people its unbelievable Im sorry that some of my friends trust them and probably get tricked by this place. Being shady and treating customers badly wont be good in the long run for the business! Im very disappointed!

I brought my 1975 Corvette to this place. The Corvette was barely functioning. So, I brought it here. First, the staff and mechanics are very nice, as well as great pricing for any work being done. The work is also done in such a short time, and I was updated very quick on the status of repairs. After all of the work was completed, the car sounds like it just came off the lot! Highly recommend!Update 8/14/21:At this point, the car does run, but the car spun out making a left turn at less than 10mph, and the car is inoperable, but does turn over. I dont doubt that the work can be fixed, but the owner of the station overcharges too much.

Took vehicle here to get some service done. Staff was very pleasant to deal with. Joshua and Brandon fixed me right up. Made me aware of additional work that may need to be addressed in the future. 100% would reccomend having work done by these two techs. They were both very informative and professional

Had car inspected and another time went there to replace tires and battery. They did the latter same day at a fair price. Would use them again for my car repairs. Also at a good location and service was responsive to understand and meet my needs.

I was having an issue with my car.The owner was so kind, helpful and accommodating to me. The technician was extremely good and the problem was resolvedI am very satisfied with the service provided and then fitting me in as quickly to get me back on the road again.

Prompt, efficient service! Dropped my car off to be inspected and to get an oil charge, at the end of the month, no less. They had it done in just a couple of hours!! 👏👏👏

When I dropped by to fill up one evening after work, I accidentally tossed my credit card in the trash bin with some other bits of trash! The attendant, Taj, donned his gloves, pulled out the trash can, and proceeded to help me check through the refuse. He expertly presented the card to me - unblemished and safely back in my hands. Great customer service, outstanding young man, a clear example of something thats right in our world. Thank you for such a wonderful outcome to a sticky wicket!!!

They use a loophole in the VA State Inspection, If your brake rotors are within the manufacturers specification (width) Shell still makes you replace them. Mine worked great, no problems, squealing, squeaking and still had life though they failed my inspection, with a smile on their face.

We had a slow leak in one of the front tires of our 1 ton dually truck. Called the tire stores and even truck dealerships. They were either unable or unwilling to remove and repair the tire. My husband saw this Shell station and that it had service bays, so he pulled in and ask if they could do the job. They jumped right on it, found that it was the valve stem, replaced it and had us on our way in less than 30 minutes. They were so friendly and kind!! I HIghly recommend them.

The prices for repairs are much higher than other auto repair facilities. The staff can be conceived as rude at times. Theyre not bad people but there are nicer places with better customer service

Prices for fuel are always fair. Way cheaper than others in town. The staff is friendly and the location is convenient. The pumps shut off at 9.

They tried to charge for things that hadnt been done to my car! Stay away from them!

We wanted a simple oil change for my wifes car. This is usually a straightforward process -- make and year of car, what kind of oil, price quote, contact info, hand over the keys and wait for the call-back.But not here. From the the very first second the Indian guy at the counter seemed to have difficulty with the most simple thought processes. He asked us the normal opening questions, but then he got confused about the cars engine size. Was it a 1.5, 1.8, 2.0? What difference did that make, I asked? It needs synthetic oil. Your mechanic can figure out the rest. But, no, he needed the VIN number! So, we went out (in heavy rain) and got the registration and read him the VIN number. After three attempts he managed to enter the number into the computer. Then he seems to have had a total brain freeze. He then asked to see the registration. Why? I asked. Because I need it to determine how much oil you need, he shot back. But you now know the engine is a 1.5, I said. What do you possibly need the registration for? He got exasperated and repeated that he had to see the registration. My wife and I exchanged looks. Something wasnt right. In all our years of having oil changes done this was the first time anyone (aside from the police) ever demanded to see it. I began to suspect that something else was going on. We left and had the oil change done at another shop where none of these questions were asked.My advice to anyone reading this is to stay away from their service shop. Only buy gas here.

If I could give zero stars I would. Literally THE WORST mechanic experience I’ve ever had!!! The owner and cashier are EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. They failed my car for inspection for wheel bearings so naturally, I took it to them to replace them on a Saturday morning since I work during the week. I was to pick it up three hours later. I understand accidents happen but they broke the suspension knuckle assembly not once but TWICE leaving me without transportation for a week. When I asked is there any type of compensation as far as a rental since I’d be going so long without my car because of their own negligence the owner said he’d “get me an Uber for groceries” in a smart tone raised his voice to me about how he had to pay for the parts already so it’s not his problem what I have going on. When I called to check on my car he says “I told you I’ll let you know when it’s done” and hung up on me!! When I was finally able to pick my car they tried to up-charge me for the added labor to fix what they broke!! Ridiculous!

Extremely unprofessional shop. The manager is rude and arrogant, I feel like Im talking to a child. The state inspector is Wooden is horrible! While I was there two customers came in regarding the service done on their vehicles. One lady was told her was ugly when it showed up and the other asked for someone to check her brake pads that were recently installed, but the mechanic refused to spend 5 mins to reassure his work. Worst shop in Williamsburg!

Avoid at all costs. The service here is terrible. They do not display the costs for their service, so the prices are arbitrary. Service will be applied to your car without your asking. The mechanics do not have a sophisticated understanding of how cars work. They specialize in oil changes and tire replacement. Outside of these basic mechanical procedures, the technicians are not knowledgeable. The manager describes himself as not a car guy, but is actually a savvy businessman. Because of that, his one interest is in convincing you to pour money into his business. Do not take a broken down car to this garage.

They didnt know the cost of a pack of cigarettes, they asked us if the price was on display on the counter and when we told him no he shrugged and guessed a random 5 dollar amount for a pack of L&Ms.ANYWHERE else they are 3.75$ we brought 4.50 for the lack and had to leave because the total was 5.39 and he was rude when we told him we couldnt afford it and had to leave.

Gas station is nice and clean. Service is good and employees are nice.

My 80 year old mother brought her car in for an oil change and they did $500 worth of tune up work without first asking for if she wanted the work to be done (which she didnt - and the work probably didnt need to get done).Will never bring my car to a place that treats people that way.

Dont get your vehicle serviced here if you care about timely service or honest customer service in general.

About a week ago I took our Dodge Durango to this Shell station because the rear passenger side was leaking air. They guy that was running the service station at the time told me that it would be a little wait because there was a car in front of me so I told him that it wouldnt be any problem to wait. I sat in the shop and waited for about 45 minutes or so before I heard anything about about our SUV. The guy that was working on our SUV came in and said that there was a nail in the tyre and that he had put air in it and that everything was fine. He said that he would only charge me $15.00 and not the usual $25.00 because of me waiting for so long. I paid him and he told me that everything was ok with the tyre. Took our SUV home, it sat in the garage over nite. The next morning I went into our garage to go to work, got in the SUV, started it and the alarm for low air came on for the same tyre, it said that it had 16 psi in it. I had my wife take me to work and she took our SUV to another local tyre seller to check out the tyre. The guy told her that the nail was still in the tyre and that there was no way that it could have been patched. My wife went back to this Shell station the next day and explained to them what had happened and all they could say was that they were sorry that it happened and gave her the $15.00 back. It is just incredible that this happened! I would strongly recommend to the manager to take a good hard look at the people that he has employed there and do some serious adjustments to his personnel. I will never recommend this place to anyone or take any of our vehicles there for any kind of work.

AVOID THIS STATION AT ALL COSTS!!! A majority of the staff does not care whatsoever and the main guy that works at the cash register is the biggest a**hole you will ever meet. They have screwed over my dad and stepmom as well as many of my neighbors. I recently tried going there to get gas and had a problem with my visa prepaid gift card and received nothing but complete and utter rudeness from the cashier. He literally told me that it was not his problem and refused to look at my phone when I pulled up the transactions on the card. I understand that there was nothing he could do about the situation, however it was the way I was treated that has caused me to never go back. Absolutely disgusted.

Let me say BEWARE OF THIS SCAMING SERVICE STATION ON JUNE 29,2017 I MADE AN ATTEMPT TO GET $20 in gas so that I could get home safely after having dinner for my birthday.Well thae attendant runs out says oh not that pump its not working pump not marked broken💁 ok I go to another proceed to pump but card cuts off at $18 I knew that was odd had a little bit more than that.Surprise this station took $75 from my account then the attendant Zaine say oh yeah it does that. Really what if I didnt have$75 for it to take? So you steal from people who do ?Then this morning the person working yells ay me says my bank did it. Never happened before? My bank says its them and I have to wait until they read their pumps more than likely before my money is returned.PLEASE BEWARE THIS IS AWFUL SERVICE STATION THAT TAKES FROM PEOPLE. NOW WHAY IF THAT WAS ALL I HAD ? IF MY FUNDS ARENT PLACED BACK IM CONTACTING THE POLICE AND MY ATTORNEY.

Ok to get gas, but dont bother trying to get any Work done on car. Dropped car off to have them check tire for slow leak. Was told about an hour. Two hours later when I called to check on it, I was told they had left at noon. 5 minutes after I dropped it off.

The cashier is extremely attractive but he is really rude and talks bad about his customers to some chick he facetimes while he’s at work...
