While visiting Williamsburg on my way to Hilton Head in early April my 2007 Honda Odyssey suddenly started to buck and run very poorly. I went back to my hotel room and started calling nearby mechanics. Two indicated they wouldnt be able to get me in for several days. I then called Chris and explained the problem. He told me he wouldnt be able to get to me that day, but suggested I go to AutoZone and have their free computer diagnostic done and then text him the error code. The code indicated the ignition coil in cylinder 5 was shot. Chris actually talked me through replacing it myself and encouraged me to watch a YouTube video first. I pretty easily replaced the coil, but the van was still bucking when I started it again. Unfortunately we had the wrong cylinder. Upon inspecting the actual cylinder #5 I discovered the ignition coil seemed to be seared to the inside of the cylinder.I told Chris and sent him a picture. Clearly this wasnt good. Chris started working on the van the next day and did his best to clear the mass of molten metal out of the tube, but it was evident it was going to take a while.I got a ride to Hilton Head with my daughter and Chris got to work trying to save me the expense of a full-on head job. He wasnt too optimistic, but hopeful. In the end, after challenges with sourcing the right parts along the way, Chris was able to get everything out of the cylinder, replace the tube and successfully insert the sparkplug and ignition coil. Much of the extra time it took was because Chris had to find a machine shop that could provide the tube the sparkplug screws into and the coil rests in. So... work complete, Chris gave the van a test drive and it ran well and I made my way back down to VA and headed home. For some reason the van started bucking in Maryland, but I easily got the ignition coil out and looked at it... no oil on it. After reassembling it, it ran well again and made it home to upstate NY. Ive since put on over 1,000 miles on it in the mountainous northeast and it is still running well.Long story, I know. But I just want to emphasize that, with me being a total stranger with no potential for return business, Chris didnt just tell me he could get to me in a few days. He guided me on how to repair my van myself. If it had been a normal issue with that cylinder, Id have been on my way and Chris wouldnt have made a penny. Once we knew that wasnt going to be possible, Chris did all he could to save me a major expense on an old van. I thought his pricing for the work he did was very fair. Now I just have to convince him to open a satellite shop in upstate NY. He did indicate hes not too fond of the cold weather, so probably not...

This place was amazing in terms of quality, professional service and price. They got me in and out in two hours, with new brakes, rotar and oil change. Chris and team did an outstanding job, and got us back on the road safe and sound!

This place is phenomenal and these guys know their stuff. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. So far they have saved us hundreds of dollars. For example, Other shops wanted $1100 to replace a water pump in our Chevy Malibu while these guys charged $400 flat. They are transparent, thorough, quick to respond, quick to get the job done, and will tell you exactly what needs to be done without overcharging you. Im so glad I found my forever go-to mechanic. Please go to these guys! If you get a quote from some place else, at least call these guys next! I can almost promise you they will charge you less and do an even better job. I called and made an appointment to bring my car in for service (tune-up), I was provided a quote and received an appointment. The day of service, I arrived to find that the business as well as others had experienced power loss, due to a storm the night before. I called Chris to reschedule and he was able to accommodate me the next day. We took our car in on the scheduled day and the car was serviced in the allotted time that was offered. My husband was thrilled with the level of service provided to include a clean and comfortable waiting room for customers.After we left, the car seemed to putt along, I called Chris and explained. He immediately referenced a wire on the battery may not have been tightened and to please bring it back so he could confirm and correct. Chris put our car on the diagnostic machine to assess the issue only to find that is was as simple as what he stated (battery). He tightened the battery and didnt charge us for the diagnostic work. Now, what you might say is - Well he shouldnt charge you for it, and you may be right - but the take away is that he offered to provide this service to us to locate the potential issue, when all he had to do was tighten the battery wire and send us on our way/That is what I call ABOVE & BEYOND customer service and for THAT (among other things), we will continue to be returning customers!!Thanks Chris and crew for your dedication and honesty in the auto repair business - you are appreciated!

If you are looking for a very experienced mechanic that charges a fair price then Chris at peninsula mobile auto Repair is the best I have found in the area. I needed an intake manifold switched out and Chris accomplished this in only 4 hours where other garages wanted 2 days. Chris also charged much less that the other 5 garages I contacted. Chris has been the best mechanic Ive ever used. He gets the job done on time. His prices are extremely reasonable as well. My wife took her car to a different shop and they stated that they wanted $1000 because the power steering needed to be replaced. The only real problem was that there was a torn boot which was fixed for $20 in parts and 20 minutes of his time. Ill never go anywhere else.

Changed all my belts and whole timing belt kit for Waaaaaaaay less than every other quote, and found the real problem with my clutch for $40, instead of trying to charge me over a thousand for a whole new clutch kit replacement like every one else did. Great job! car runs like brand new! I had to re-learn how to drive my 5speed. 😍. Highly recommend him for any and everything! And will go back for everything I cant fix myself in the future. When my engine block cracked and started leaking anti-freeze Chris found a great used motor, and installed it for a great price within 2 days after the motor came in.Sept 6th my starter went in my car after 250K miles. Chris recommended a tow service who picked up my car. The next evening I had my car back and started right up at a very reasonable price. Thank you! Definite goto car repair!

Best call Ive ever made! Breaking down sucks! They were straight forward, knowledgeable, understanding prompt an affordable. Changed out our old Tahoe starter in the wawa parking lot in under 20mins.
