One of the favorite local hangouts within the Colonial Williamsburg area. They have a spacious area inside where you can sit at a table or just order and go. There are several outdoor cafe tables if you’d rather be out in the sunshine. Great coffee and pastries too.

Finding good coffee and a quick bite at a reasonable price in downtown Colonial Williamsburg is a tough task. Everything is supremely overpriced and overly fancy. Luckily Aromas exists and gives you what you need at a reasonable price. The coffee and flavorings were delicious from snickers to almond joy. Pastries were fresh and salads were delicious. They also have a full lunch and dinner menu along with daily specials. I highly recommend the pulled chicken sandwich it was amazing. Very happy to have stopped in here twice during our visit and recommend it to anyone with kids who needs a quick bite in between historical building visits.

Another great place in Colonial Williamsburg. I dont like coffee much but the atmosphere is great. Just people hanging out at a coffee shop. The food is great, I started eating pastrami sandwhiches with mustard like they are supposed to be. And their peach freeze shake was amazing on a hot day. Just a great place to enjoy the nice atmosphere. And you might make a new friend!

A regular stop on our way to/from VA Beach! Located in quaint, historic Williamsburg right next to the College of William & Mary. We’ve been coming here for about 20 years and their selections keep improving. Food is good, gluten free and vegan options are available, desserts include, cake, pie, enormous biscotti, and chocolates. Staff is friendly and helpful. Busy with locals and visitors at this cafe.

We had a lovely lunch: two drinks (Almond Joy latte and a hot chocolate), two salads (classic Cobb and Asian Salmon) and a kids Turkey sandwich. Salads were delicious and the right size for lunch: filling but not overwhelming, with no leftovers. Drinks were very nice. The kids Turkey sandwich was a standard sized sandwich, which was not finished by our daughter. Prices were OK. Overall very nice.

I went here a few years ago and loved it so I was excited to go back. After the last experience I will probably not choose to go moving forward. They were really busy that day and the whole place was a mess. We waited in line about 20 minutes to order our drinks. My friend and I both ordered from two separate cashiers. My friend was given a receipt which had a number on it, however I was not offered a receipt and no one asked for my name or gave me a number. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes for our two drinks. Everyone waiting was getting frustrated at the wait time and when people would go up to ask on their order status all of the baristas were extremely rude to everyone. They really need to get a better system in place when they are busy because it was ridiculous. A lot of their problems could have been solved if there was a better way of keeping track of orders.

I have been here many times. It is a popular place for locals and tourists alike as its between William and Mary and Colonial Williamsburg. The atmosphere is very relaxed when its not hyper busy. The price point is significantly lower than some of the other restaurants around Market Square. They do coffee, breakfast/brunch, lunch, snacks, and dinners with a pretty wide ranging menu.People unfamiliar with Aromas might find it hard to navigate. Coffee order pickup is on one side and food pickup is on the opposite side of the counter, while ordering is in the middle. While it is a dog friendly place (outside) it is not disabled friendly.

I’ve been going to Aromas in Williamsburg for 10 to 12 years. The food and coffee used to be really good and would frequently go throughout the week. The past year to two years it has not been the same, especially under new ownership. As of the past few months it has sucked. The food is always messed up and when asked for something that was forgotten I was told that they will get it if they have the time. You can always count on the workers being creepy. If you like being stared at intensely this is the place to go. Last night we ate at Aromas and my dad couldn’t even eat his food, they gave him some old spaghetti that wasn’t even what he ordered..I might add, before they start closing they sling the chairs up and rush you to get out....I’m sorry I have to write this, but I really wish it was like it used to be. Aromas used to be a really great place that I would recommend to my friends.

Sunday morning, lots of customers, seemed a good ordering process tho. I ordered a dark roast with heavy cream and hot tea. Cashier directed me to station for add ins to find cream. Cool, probably a canister on ice I thought. Hubby tipped two bucks in anticipation of further good service and quality beverages. The first disappointment; no heavy cream to be found. I asked to have it added behind the counter. Panicky barista checked a few under counter fridges and reported “all out”. Next disappointment; we waited a good twenty mins for a tea. I inquired after about ten mins and was told tea was on the line (of orders) and coming up. After another ten min check the response was unclear/indecipherable. Ridiculous. Hubby was especially annoyed at having paid and tipped, and not delivered beverages requested.

Even as you read this, I am a pretty patient and calm guy. Im not typing madly or pounding on the keyboard. Reasonable is reasonable though, 20 minutes for a café mocha? Your drinks are very tasty and I appreciate each was made well but, 20 minutes? Comeon........

LOVE the aesthetic/look of this coffeeshops interior. Unfortunately, it was very crowded, very loud, and its easily the most expensive coffee shop Ive ever been to. My *small* snickers latte came out to $4.20 total.High costs combined with average service and rude patrons, safe to say I wont be returning. Give another cafe on the street a try.Final note: No menu in sight. I believe they may normally have laminated copies somewhere near the door... but I didnt see any. Great interaction with the manager who took our order. This is definitely a place that locals eat. The vibe is local/rustic.My cobb salad had great quality ingredients and they were fresh. The presentation was great but the salad was not ‘ready to eat’. The meat was rolled up into a neat presentation, so I had to cut it up if I wanted it distributed on the salad. Similarly, the onions were left as large rings. My wife’s salmon salad was nice; we thought it was a teriyaki salmon, but that must only be on the steak option.
