I needed some special Sunbrella fabric for an outdoor awning to match the others at my home. In this time of shipping and supply problems, I had a terrible time locating this fabric anywhere online. When I called to inquire at the store, the lady who was helping me was not able to find enough fabric to fill my order. I was bummed, but continued my fruitless online search. I was so happy to get a call a few days later. They had gotten some of my fabric in stock! And at a wonderful price! They sent it out right away and within a few days I had my well-wrapped fabric at my home. Thanks to all!
I purchased several Fusion paint items from this retailer. When the box arrived, the lid on one of the paint containers was open in a cockeyed fashion, and paint had spilled out onto the other items, packing material, and box interior bottom. I contacted Savvy Swatch about the condition of my package and provided images.Their response was So from looking at the photos this is sometimes unfortunately normal. Fusion tends to overfill their paints and we tape it for extra measure, and we try to pack it carefully, but sometimes these boxes get roughed up in transit. If you find that you are not able to finish your project due to not having enough paint, please let us know and we will try to assist you. Thank you for your understanding.Whether or not I have enough paint to finish my project is irrelevant. I didnt pay for 90% of a product--I paid for 100%. And, I should not have to scrub dried spilled paint off my merchandise.I would have been completely satisfied if they had offered to send me a tester size container to compensate for the paint loss and clean-up inconvenience. When I asked for a tester, they declined, reiterating that the issue was the result of the manufacturer over filling their paint containers and essentially conveying to me -- not our fault, not our problem, not our responsibility.Savvy Swatch is the retailer from which I purchased this item--not Fusion. It is the retailers responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction and to contact the manufacturer for credit when a manufacturer error results in lost profit. Instead, Savvy Swatch opted for the not our problem response. This was my first and last purchase from Savvy Swatch.
I had placed an order 12 days ago and still have not received it. This is my reply below about another issue but have not gotten a reply from them and 5 days have passed since the below email or an offer from them to put a tracer from their end for the package. I would like to use them as my source for Fusion paint since they are a small business but am reluctant to. My previous orders I did not have a problem. So I don’t know if it is sitting at the post office or where it is right now. Called and asked about having a chair recovered. Was told to bring photos and have a look at their fabrics. They have a ZILLION fabrics, and the lady who greeted me was polite and showed me various fabrics but brought over the owner to give me a quote. She mused for a few moments and then very condescendingly told me “you’re looking at... at least $325 just for labor; materials would be additional “. It was quite clear she assumed I could not afford her service. (If I want to spend $500 or $700 on a chair I certainly can). After she turned and walked away (failing to even finish the conversation), I said to the first lady “so you’re saying I may as well just buy a new chair?”. She said it was a matter of how attached I was to my aunt’s chair (which is in good shape except for needing a new seat). I said I just hated to throw away a good chair. She was nice, but there’s no way I’d hire the owner after her condescending and dismissive attitude.
Staff has been helpful trying to resolve an order that has been back ordered.

Our company purchased 6 yards of Avion Confetti, which we have purchased before from other sources. We thought we would try this company Savvy Swatch because of the reasonable pricing. We completely regret doing business with this Savvy Swatch. We received the material and the bird print was extremely faded. We contacted the rep from Savvy Swatch and were told the manager wasnt available to make a decision to except our return and would contact us asap. We never heard back and our company lost the cost of the fabric and the contract to sew the product until we find more material. We sourced the fabric elsewhere and are very disappointed in the shady dealings we experienced at Savvy Swatch.
The workroom at Bobs Upholstery/Savvy Swatch is first class. In a world where hand crafts are fast disappearing, Bobs men are experts in their field of workmanship. I highly recommend them for all your interior design needs.
Today I visited my favorite store in Williamsburg- Savvy Swatch on 2nd Street. Living in NJ stores like this are a rare fine and hard to fine. I’ve watched this store grow over the last 4 years when I met Debbie, the owner. I’ve enjoyed sewing since age 8. Finding a great place to buy decorator fabrics for curtains and upholstery is almost a lost art. I am so happy for Debbie’s success and encourage other who love stores like this to visit it. Debbie is “the store”. A real gem.

First of all I and my wife are Black folks, we were there Wed feb 20th 2019on my wife birthday, we were not treated right, we were totally not noticewe were there for 30 minute while the clerk waited on one lady after the lady left she waited on a gentleman afterward,after walking around3 clerks were available then no one asked if they could help us.this is a place that needs to be reported blacks are no welcome.
