I ordered a couch online, was told it wouldn’t come in for a couple months. I worked with CHERYL who sent me photos of what was in stock and I found something so much better!! She really went out of her way to make me happy! She is amazing and everyone should know it! Give that girl a raise please!!

Loved the outdoor dining table we purchased. After 6mo the top started to peel, we called and it took awhile but they came out and replaced. Same thing happened with the replacement we called, waited, called and nothing. Knowing there is a problem and after the 2nd time the answer is ignor? We paid good money for a product that should last.

I love the furnitures very much. I purchased a Recliner chair and I loved it very comfortable and good quality. Steve was very helpful for me to get the perfect one for my Lumber Spine pain. I will recommend my family and friends

The staff here were very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a lot of beautiful furniture, but they just didnt have what we were looking for. After listening carefully to what we wanted the saleswoman suggested another company that she thought might be able to help us. No one else in the four or five stores we visited even suggested we go to a competitor. They tried to direct us to other styles even though we told them we knew just what we were looking for. We appreciated them trying but we felt that it was just incredible customer service for this woman to direct us to another company because she felt they might be able to better serve us. Thats a rare quality in retail sales. If you are furniture shopping in Williamsburg, be sure to visit Roberts Furniture & Mattress and ask to speak to Cheryl Sutton!

Steve, the store manager is very friendly and helpful. Great selection and reasonable prices. Delivery time to store is 4-8 weeks at this time due to COVID. Will shop here again for quality furniture made in Virginia with excellent customer service.

The staff is friendly and very helpful, but not to the point of hovering. While in the store, we were looking for something, but they had limited items available in the showroom to view. Looking at the additional booklets was nice; however, it was hard to determine actual quality of products. Definitely a good choice for buying furniture in Williamsburg.

TLDR: If you’re looking for a furniture store that will fulfill your order quickly and efficiently, look elsewhere. Communication is severely lacking, and I am dissatisfied with my experience with Robert’s. I don’t write reviews, but I feel strongly enough about my experience with this company to let others know before they place an order.I placed an order for a bedroom set and sectional couch on 04/17/21. I received a call from Cheryl, who said that most of the items I ordered were back-ordered, and I would receive my order in pieces throughout April, May, and June. I received 2/3 of my sectional at the end of April, then the last piece of it over two weeks later, along with my nightstands. The delivery personnel were friendly, however; they forced the sectional through my front door and scuffed and dented my walls, door trim, and banister. I reported the damage to the store, and after playing phone tag with several of the store associates, I received a call from a manager named Greyson. He offered me $150 to cover the damage, and I accepted. I was told that I would have the refund within a week, but three weeks and several follow-ups later, I still do not have a refund.In the first week of May, I was informed by Cheryl that they received all the components for my bed except for the slat rolls. The slat rolls were due to arrive at their store by June 8th. I was called a couple of weeks later and informed that the slat rolls arrived early, and they would be delivering my bed and dresser on 06/01/21. On 05/31/21, one day before delivery, I received a call from Robin, who stated that the footboard for the bed was damaged, and they would have to order a new one. If you’ve had possession of my order for almost a month, why was it not quality checked upon arrival? The delivery date for the bed was rescheduled for 06/11/21.Now, over six weeks since I originally placed my order, I have a couch and nightstands with no dresser and no bed. I have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for the time being, and I am incredibly frustrated with the lack of efficiency from this store. My boyfriend is returning from a one year-long overseas assignment next week, and now I will have to let him know that we’ll be sleeping on the floor. I will not be a repeat customer, and I will not recommend this company to anyone who asks. The associates are professional and polite on the phone, but each one I’ve spoken to has given me the impression that they’re “doing me a favor”, and having to pull strings to make the deliveries happen. I should not have to chase after the store to ensure I actually receive my items in a timely manner.Regarding the actual quality of the furniture, all of my furniture was from Ashley. The couch is sturdy and comfortable and the nightstands are also very sturdy and look great. The quality of the items (that I’ve received so far) is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one.

We had a great experience. We went in to buy a mattress and the prices were VERY reasonable, and the quality was better than the mattress stores around town. We will be returning in the future when we need furniture. Great, no pressure, atmosphere.

The experience in the store was wonderful, but as is all too often the case, the experience with delivery wasn’t as well executed. Several of the drawers on our pieces don’t operate quite right and we asked the delivery folks to please let the store know so we could figure out a time for a technician to come out. We never heard back, and call me old fashioned, but if the store tells me they will get back to me, I’m not going to go out of my way to keep them to their word. I’ll just remember that for next time.

I had such a great experience at this store. The employees (Katrina, Parker, and more) were very helpful. They provided information and ideas, but they never tried to force anything on me. The delivery was also a great experience. Not only did they deliver and set up our new couches, they also moved our old set into our garage so that they could be picked up the next day. This is a great place. I would shop here again.

Went in to look at a banquet in the Williamsburg store but they didn’t have one. Also looking for a sofa but I had no idea what I wanted. Sales representative Katrina helped me out by showing me all of the options and fabrics that were available. She is awesome! She set the table for the sale. Brought the wife back to show her. Sale representative Parker picked out and sized a matching ottoman for us. He was great! Then store manager Mike put the entire package together. This was a hassle-free experience and they all were the consummate professionals.

Mike knows how to guide you in your selection of furniture. He gives you time and room to make your own decisions. He is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. The store has great furniture, and you definitely can find furniture made in America at good prices. This is definitely our go to store.

I considered going to a larger furniture store chain but made a last minute decision to check out Roberts and Im so glad that I did. Michael was amazing and spent a lot of time with me (with no pressure) to help me with decisions about a reclining sofa and special order chairs. The furniture needed to be ready for a special family visit so Michael called the manufacturers directly to get time frame. Im happy to say that I got the call that all of the furniture had arrived well in advance of what I expected. When I went in to schedule delivery, Michael even remembered to ask about my family. Very personal and professional service!

Roberts is a nice option for mid-range furniture and mattresses. The sales associate I met while there shopping was helpful but not hovering, which I sure do appreciate.I think a lot of their offerings are just not my taste, but thats an individual thing. The store has a lot of upside potential if it were spiffed up a little.If you are in the market for home furnishings or a new mattress, definitely worth a visit.

I recently moved to the area and purchased a dining room set and bedroom furniture from Roberts. I had a great experience working with Pam at the Williamsburg location to identify pieces that would meet my needs. Roberts then went above and beyond by making a Saturday delivery to Norfolk (usually they dont deliver there on Saturdays) in order for me to get my furniture the day of my move-in. The delivery team, Cody and Ross, were fantastic! Very personable guys who took great care to make sure the furniture was put together and placed how I wanted it. The customer service was top notch and I wouldnt hesitate to use them for any future needs!

I was able to tell the associate what I wanted and she was able to find it exactly. She was able to find what we wanted, in the fabric we wanted and our price range. She never made us feel pressured or rushed. We were treated with respect and courtesy. Give them a try! You will be surprised at what they have.

My husband and I purchased several pieces of furniture from Katrina at Roberts Furniture located in Williamsburg, VA... she was amazing to work with!We had an issue with our couch and Katrina sent folks out and it was fixed within 20 minutes or so... the men who delivered our furniture were so polite and down to earth! When they were finished with the repair and setting up our new bed they removed all the trash... they, Roberts Furniture and delivery staff are a pleasure to purchase from. The other thing I really liked was that several pieces were made in the USA totally supporting our economy and jobs in America! Way to go Roberts Furniture!

Great people, not “salesy”, no pressure. I usually hate furniture shopping almost as much as buying a car for those reasons. Mike was helpful and knowledgeable, but let us make our decisions by ourselves in our own time. Next time we need furniture, we will be headed that direction.

I went in very specific about what I want. The sales lady was very helpful but the store had nothing on the floor for me to see, in regards to what specific sets I wanted to see. The sales woman informed me that the store in Yorktown has the warehouse. Overall, ok but not able to assist me appropriately. I appreciated that she wasnt too pushy.

Do not order from Roberts. They will not cancel orders for any reason, even if they can not fulfill orders in the time promised. I was a repeat customer. That ends. Dreadful customer service and a rude manager at the Williamsburg store.

From the moment we first stepped inside Roberts Furniture here in Williamsburg and ordered our furniture from Parker, until it was delivered by Cody and his assistant this morning, it has been a wonderful experience. Absolutely awful experience. Ordered furniture and was told that it would be in in three weeks. After five weeks needed to call the store to find out where it was. Was told that it would be in the following week. After an additional two weeks, needed to call back again. Was told that I would be contacted the following Monday. After another week needed to contact the store again and was told that the furniture would be delivered the following week. The day before delivery was scheduled the store called and I was told that the furniture was not in and would be delivered the following week. Finally the following week was called yet again and was told that the furniture still wasnt in. At least I was able to get a full refund.

Mike at Roberts was phenomenal to work with - he had a happy medium between helping out and also giving us enough space to walk around and talk back and forth. We could call him over to answer questions and then he would leave us alone again to talk in private. To us he was the perfect sales associate. He knew prices and patterns off the top of his head and went back to double check on prices for certain extra patterns.We ended up buying four pieces - 3-seater sofa,, matching loveseat, recliner, and a swivel/rocker chair. We just had the furniture delivered today and couldnt be happier! A shout out to the delivery guys - helpful and funny. My husband tested out the sofa for nap quality later in the day and I can report it fit the bill.We had to wait about a month for the pieces to be made and delivered and were very happy with the quality and the service from Roberts Furniture.

The furniture is decent. There is nothing too colorful or different, just regular, plain looking furniture. Everything seems a bit over priced as well. They did have a large variety of mattresses. We might return to purchase a mattress but we found a couch that fit our personalities for about a quarter of the price of any couch there.

I cant begin to tell you how wonderful Roberts Furniture was to us in selecting our new Paramount King size bed with plush top.We visited all the standard mattress stores and could not find a decent mattress. We finally ended up at Roberts and found a great mattress.We ordered a low profile (5 1/2) foundation to go with the mattress, but upon delivery we were sent the 9 and it just wouldnt have worked for us with our current headboard.Needless to say, we were very impressed with the customer service in rectifying the situation that very day. As a matter of fact, when the new foundation was delivered about an hour later that same day, to our surprise, it was delivered by the owner himself - Mr. Jay Roberts and his warehouse manager Mr. Mike Lutz. Mr. Roberts also graciously offered a discount on our next furniture purchase to compensate for the very minor mishap.We are very happy with our mattress and once again, I highly recommend Roberts Furniture in Williamsburg for your next furniture purchase.And last, but not least, Id like to give a shout out to Mike Martin, Store Manager and his staff, Parker and Katrina, for their outstanding assistance and patience.

We were fairly disappointed at the place. we purchased a kitchen table+chair set from the shop and within 1 month we started noticing bubbles on the table. it got worse and worse so we called the shop. we were told that because the factory discontinued this line so there were no replacements anyways plus it was already over the warranty (we called a couple days after the one-month warranty). we spent over 1300+ on the set and we did not expect it to only last for a month or two (also a sharp screw came off the chair which was very scary for me for a while because we have a toddler at home and i didnt know where the went - overall, the set seemed very nice when were there but after being home for only a couple of weeks, it was falling apart)? then we were told we would get a discount if we wanted to purchase another piece of furniture and then never heard back..we were going to buy any more furniture anyways based on experience with poor quality furniture but more disappointed with the customer service. it was always us asking/following up proactively and we eventually didnt wanna have anything to do with it anymore. we wanted to support local business but we didnt feel like they cared much.

The only furniture store weve ever been in where we didnt feel constantly followed and pressured by sales people! The staff is so pleasant there, we loved Katrina!! Their furniture selection is the best weve seen as well because so many items in there are extremely customizable! The couches we ended up buying allowed us to choose the type of fabric and its color, the foot style and color, and the arm style. And they had tons of other pieces in the store like that, some that were even more customizable. The best part was, the prices were maybe just 100-200 more than what we wouldve spent for something similar at Value City!! So we got exactly what we wanted, without being overwhelmed by pushy sales people, for significantly less than what we wouldve spent at stores like Hanes or Havertys. Weve already decided that from now on, all of our furniture is coming from Roberts!!

I went to the store looking for a sofa and tv stand. Michael Martin was the person that helped me look for what I was looking. Even though I did not purchase the furniture from them he went the extra mile to try to save me some money. He verified what I bought from the other store to see if they can order it and save me money for two seperate shipments. I will defenitley recommend and return to this store since I had a good experience.

Ordered a recliner on the 19th of November that was promised to me by Christmas. When I called about it in December a rude lady stated that their was no way I would get it until the new year, then hung up. I called back and was hung up on again. I called week latercand talked to Manager who sold me the furniture, he said, dont call back, I call you when I know something. After Christmas, called Manager to tell him, I was upset and wanted my money back, he saidyou signed a contract, but I will give you the money back ( but not the whole amount). I Called back and said that amount is not correct, he stated stop harrassing me, now to get your money back you have to come in and get it. The manager called me yesterday and said it is going to start being made and I will get it by the middle of February. I said I want all my money back!!!! Never again, will I set foot in that business again!!!!
